Interesting place to visit. It's a bit out of the way and I probably wouldn't go again. There is really no walking... you take the shuttle that drops u right at the building. It's really in the middle of nowhere with no good restaurants or stores nearby so plan ahead.

This location isn't the one with the fossils inside by the ranger was very friendly to us and helpful. There's lots of information about that side of the park here as well as a restroom. Make sure to look up information on there website about each visitor center so you have an idea about where you're wanting to go before you get here or you will be driving around alot more.

This is the Monument's backcountry visitor center and entry point. There is a small museum with displays of local flora and fauna and some very helpful staff. Also a short self-guided nature trail that we found to be a nice break from driving. Note: the photos linked to this map point are actually of the Quarry Visitor Center, which is located about 30 miles west in Utah. That's where the Dinosaur fossils are.

The rangers and other park employees are helpful and will answer any questions you may have (e.g. the road conditions to Steamboat Rock). To clarify for those fellow travelers who've not visited Dinosaur National Monument before, this is not the park headquarters (that's northeast of Jenson, UT); this visitor center sits at the entrance to Harper's Corner Rd, which is worth the drive.

NO FOSSILS HERE! Go to the location in Jensen, Utah if you're looking for the fossil shelter. I made the mistake of following Google maps here and had to double back half an hour to Jensen (almost didn't make it before they closed!)

The Park has a great museum/quarry where you can see this massive section of cliff face with all the dinosaur bones exposed. It’s crazy how many bones are pilled up in this one area. They have everything from brontosaurus bones to fossilized squid.

Must see! We drove the wrong direction but were lucky to find this spot which had the best view of the canyon! It's so gorgeous though be careful not to go too close to the edge. I made sure I held onto a tree or the ground haha but a great place to take pictures of natures wild beauty. The guides were great and suggested a hike around the rim for an amazing view
