Its a stop with more then most offer. My family made a point to stop here every trip up while we were moving from Nebraska to South Dakota. Visitors center is so welcoming and always so friendly! More then a rest area more like a family lunch a nd break place to stop and relax for a short time...

Great rest stop. We were staying in Chamberlain so we had to come back to see the rest! There is a great museum, picnic area, a small trail and a nice overlook. Allow about an hour if just passing through. There is plenty of parking for cars and campers. Security there and of course the Dignity statue! A beautiful tribute!

Brand new building. They've really updated everything plus added a super nice information center. It's going to be awhile before the lawn is put in, everything has to dry up a bit. Beautiful!!!

Great place to stop for campers. Nice and clean, security camers, and people that work there are so friendly and helpful. Another plus side across the bridge is a Coffee Cup gas station with diesel.

Best rest stop ever! The bathrooms were very clean. There were outside areas to stretch your legs or enjoy a picnic. The best part is the visitor's center... There were brochures to entertainment, campgrounds, restaurants, etc. for the entire state of SD. If you are visiting the state and need info, this is the place to stop! The woman working in the visitor's center was very helpful, too...and very kind!

My wife and I were stranded here overnight in a blizzard. Nice to meet and trade stories with Grant, the caretaker. Great facility, but Grant tells us they are tearing it down and building a new one. Hope to see him here again someday. Also kudos to the SD DOT payloader operator, he is busting the snow drifts and clearing the snow so we all can be on our way. Great stop.

I like my Welcome Center restrooms like I like my parking, FREE !!! I guess I want them clean also. Nice stop packed with travel information about the better Dakota such as great places to hunt and fish or buy meth. I rarely stop here, it's only 75 miles between the two Sioux. So, you see what I'm getting at.
