Most memorable moment in my life! 100% recommend Hope San for any event. Not only were they flexible, but extremely helpful and made everyone feel at home. We were so impressed with the sailboat and had a wonderful evening watching the sunset over Newport.

What a wonderful experience! We had a group of six for a sunset cruise with Patrick and Monika. The boat is absolutely stunning and they could not have been more accommodating and pleasant hosts. We brought our own beverages to toast while we sailed. They provided glasses as well as ponchos when it started to rain unexpectedly. They are prepared and so knowledgeable. They do all of the work while you sit back and enjoy the sea, breeze, and views. Despite the fact that the weather didn't cooperate, we had a wonderful time! We will definitely be booking with them again!

Patrick and Monika are a hidden gem. They helped me create the most magical proposal I could have ever imagined! I honestly I can’t say enough great things about them. Let me start off first by mentioning that the Hope San is stunning, even more so in person than in photos. I booked my sunset cruise 5 months in advance, as I did not want to miss my opportunity to charter their boat. I stumbled across them after an extensive search for the perfect sailboat. Patrick and I had a conversation to see if he was able to help me pull off the proposal and after speaking with him, I knew he was the captain for us! As the date neared, we exchanged details via email so we were both prepared. On the big day, my (then) girlfriend and I went to the boat launch where Monika was waiting for us right on time. Monika had a water taxi waiting for us and we all headed over to the mooring where the sailboat was ready to go. We boarded the boat and they both made sure we were comfortable, offering to get us anything we needed. Patrick asked us if we wanted to go relax on the bow of the boat and Monika provided us with cushions. We packed champagne and snacks and enjoyed our picnic on the bow. Patrick and Monika gave us our privacy so we could enjoy our romantic cruise. My girlfriend had absolutely no idea they were in on anything. At 7:45PM on the dot, just as I had requested, Patrick and Monika had the boat in the exact spot and position for my proposal. They were able to bring the boat close enough to shore so our friends and family could see. The best part of it all, while I was proposing, Patrick captured the intimate moment on his personal camera and sent us beautiful pictures a couple days later so we could relive the whole event all over again! My (now) fiancé is already begging me to book a charter with them next year on the date of our engagement. Needless to say, we will be back! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Patrick and Monika!

What an incredible experience! We sailed throughout The bay on a sunset cruise ...I don’t think we stopped laughing once! Monika and Patrick were the perfect hosts. We brought drinks and food and they took care of everything. It was absolutely awesome !

We had a great day sail in Newport, R.I. on a unique restored 1958 sailboat custom built in Hong Kong. As instructed, we met the launch at Sayer’s Wharf which took us to “Hope San” which is moored in the harbor. It’s such a gorgeous boat, and just pulling up alongside I knew it was going to be a special trip. We started at 10:00 and did a four hour sail down to Castle Hill lighthouse, across to Jamestown, under the Newport Bridge... under sail. They provide water and we brought Sandwiches and drinks too. If you are looking to sail in Newport, then know this experience is like having a good friend with a 42’ yacht.

We enjoyed our time with Patrick and Monika so much last year that we returned again this year with friends for another great sail. 2019 ---------------------------------- Patrick and Monika were made the end of our vacation stay in Newport a fantastic experience. We went on a last minute four hour sunset cruise and were fortunate to have strong, steady winds. Hope San is a beautiful boat. Patrick and Monika are able captain and crew. If you're coming to visit Newport RI, a cruise on Hope San with Patrick and Monika is simply a MUST DO!! The most AMAZING hosts on their beautiful boat. We brought cocktails and apps and had a most incredible experience! Honestly, we cannot thank them enough for showcasing Narragansett Bay in a more perfect fashion!
