This was a fabulous cruise. The friendliness and courtesy, and knowledge of the area, were amazing. The crew were obviously enjoying their jobs and guests. They went above and beyond to make everyone on board feel welcome. I learned a lot about the local area, and saw some fantastic sights. Highly recommended and will be back.

First trip to Newport RI, and getting out on the water was a must for me. The Rum Runner II is a beautiful boat! Came on board on a very hot day, and the crew had glasses of ice cold water for everyone (in biodegradable glasses!). Captain Jay and Nora were both very knowledgeable. Loved learning more about the places we saw ... who owned that big boat in the harbor (Judge Judy), whose wedding reception for 1,500 of their closest friends took place on the big grass lawn outside a mansion (JFK and Jacqueline) and many more wonderful stories. Happy crew, happy boatmates, and just a fun way to tour the harbor! I highly recommend The Rum Runner II!

We have gone on the sunset cruise many times. Just this past weekend, we snuck down to Newport for a nice dinner. We checked in with the Rum Runner crew to see if we can squeeze in a harbor tour, and they said they were booked... it was 5pm Sat. night after all. She then said, well, check back in with us closer to 5:30 because we just got a call from a party of 10 that has reservations, but is having trouble getting here on time. Well we stood and waited and when the clock struck 5:30pm they allowed us to buy the tickets. They tried unsuccessfully (many times) to reach that party to make sure they weren't running down Thames trying to make it on time. We ended up going and had a great time. I truly appreciated them extending that opportunity to me, but realized if the folks came running, the seats were still theirs. Rum Runners was above and beyond profession. We will be back!

Fantastic cruise of Newport Harbor and surrounding Narragansett Bay, including lighthouses and points of interests. The Lighthouse Tour (with mimosas!) was a wonderful trip with a great crew who provided just the right amount of hospitality and tour guide information. We will do this again even though we live here on the Island (Aquidneck Island - formally "Rhode Island" and the rest of the state is "Providence Plantations) and know the history and sights. Nice to get away from the crowds of Newport and enjoy a relaxing trip where you are not the skipper, crew or tour guide.

I've done this cruise twice (one rum punch evening and one strictly soda) and had so much fun both times, met folks on board the journey and we are still good friends today. Not only was it gorgeous weather both times, but we learned lots of local gossip, history, and road alongside celebrity yachts, its the perfect amount of time on the water, and the crew were delightful, if you go to Newport....this is a must!

Such a great time! We rented out the whole boat and took a lighthouse cruise a few days before a wedding. It was such a relaxing way to enjoy the weekend and catch up with friends & family. Not to mention some great sights! Very friendly and fun crew!

Excellent customer service. Staff clearly and patiently explained the options prior to purchase, and the on board experience was fantastic. The tour itself is excellent. Go on a warm and dry day if you can.

Great boat and a great tour to see sights in AND OUT of Newport Harbour. On a hot day get there early to make sure you get a space in the shade at the back of the boat, unless you like to bake for over an hour. The skipper was brilliant, knew his stuff and added in plenty of info. The tour guide girl didn't really need to be there, she was clearly scripted and a bit dull. Warning: This boat is fast and you will get wet!!!

The cruise was fun, even on a cold day. But, the "Rum Runner" beverage was just juice, there was no RUM at all. Other than that, it was enjoyable and the crew was fun.
