This ferry was the most convenient, safest, and hassle free way to get to martha's vineyard. Boarding was on time and the ferry left on the dot to ensure it stayed on schedule to get people to and from at the time stated. Its unfortunate that people have had poor experiences. Typically people only go out of their way to write bad reviews. I will continue to use this service every time I go to the vineyard. The staff and crew were so welcoming and helpful. Only problem was the port-a-potty. Their indoor bathroom was out of order. But on the plus side, they were the cleanest port-a-potty's I have ever seen. Highly recommend.

Expensive, but worth not driving to woods hole. Also...if you're prone to motion sickness...take a Dramamine unless it's a very calm day. This boat is prone to rocking given it's design. $10 a day parking. CASH ONLY! You pay for parking BEFORE you get on the boat. So have your cash on hand.

Though the ferry prices are costly its worth the ride.. It take about 95 minutes from Quonset point,RI to Oak bluffs in Marta's vineyard. Ferry goes up to 60 miles/hr and standing at the front of the ferry in middle of ocean is a memorable experience. Its a very well maintained ferry. Does not offer wifi but restrooms and snack bar was really good.

I plan on using this "high speed" ferry again. It's relatively new and very clean trimaran with a water jet propulsion. One of the crew told me that we were travelling at 30 kts, i.e. 34.5 mph; we were "booking," passing all ships "as if they were standing still. The ride was extremely smooth due to a stability/ride control system. Another "factoid" would be that the snack bar was ok; no hot foods or sandwiches and beer and cocktails are served.

Much pricier than the other ferries, especially if you were to go during a peak day. However, you can’t beat the shorter drive, and next to dock parking that’s only $10. From booking to boarding, everything was seamless. Enough seating, nice restrooms, and nice snack bar. The ferry ride is about 1hr 45min but, the ride is nice if the sea isn’t too bad. We departed and arrived on schedule during each leg as well. Highly recommend!

Expensive and in my experience always a little late but it is a very convenient way to get to the island. Nice clean boat. You would be well advised to bring Dramamine if you're prone to sea sickness though.

All my friends and family took high speed Ferry to Martha's Vinyard. The boat itself was clean great ride there. I then received a text due to mechanical issues we would have to board a regular ferri to Woods Hole. And take a bus back to Quonset. We were told by an agent to board this ferri we have been sitting at docks now 1 hour and a half. I called quonset they said bus was delayed and would be here after 20 minutes I call back and they told me that bus would be here at 815. I was even told that this happened 4 times this year and it was because of low amounts returning.Its quarter of nine and still here. Oh boy!!!! We are leaving. Did I mention that these seats are extremely uncomfortable and bus is freezing. I joked earlier it was an adventure. But in reality none of us signed up for this. We expected and paid for a high speed ferri ride.

Great drive to the ferry. Easy to park and unload. Ferry is excellent with a snack bar and professional staff. The only way to travel to the vineyard. Highly recommend.

Quick, easy way to get to the vineyard if you are coming from the south. Best all the cape cod traffic with this beautiful boat ride. Last time I went on we even saw pods of dolphins jumping and playing that the captain made a point to tell everyone on board! The boat is smaller with comfy seating, TVs, bar and food!

AVOID...... and save yourself aggravation. I purchased tickets for the fast ferry to Marthas vineyard due to the fact that it will be less driving for me on the way home because I live on Long Island and I had a tour scheduled for 10:30 when the ferry arrived at MV . I booked a hotel right near the ferry. That morning I get a text saying the ferry is cancelled 1 hour before the ferry was supposed to leave . I thought this was some bad joke, but It was'nt . They said they would take me on a shuttle bus to woods hole terminal that's an hour and a half away, and If I choose this option I would not get a refund. I said I paid $105 for the ticket ,Why would I still pay that If The woods hole ferry is 25 dollars, and I can drive myself, So I drove my self , and I will NEVER use fast ferry again. Such a terrible experience.

This company is a FRAUD!!!! You buy a round trip ticket and pay in full then an hour before your ferry they text you and tell you that your fast ferry is canceled. So now you get to go on the steamship authority ferry to WOODS HOLE MA & they provide you a bus to get back to Quonset RI. Mind you the originally ferry to Quonset would take 1.5 total. Their "solution" is for you to take a ferry for 45 minutes then get in a bus for 2 plus hours with all of your luggage, bikes, kids, dogs etc and then not give you any apology or reimbursement. My husband then missed his flight so we then had to dish out an additional $500 in change fees & hotel. The manager had no solution or empathy for the situation that their crappy company put us in. I would NEVER consider this ferry boat again. They only have one boat & if it breaks down (which happened to us). U are SOL!!!! All in all horrible customer service and no solutions to a problem!

We went on the lighthouse tour today and we had a blast! We did not have reservations but that wasn't a problem and the free parking is a great bonus. The guide was very informative and provided a lot of insight for all of the lighthouses and many other interesting sights during the tour. Very glad we went.

When running late to arrive to take a 5:30 ferry, I phoned ahead to let the company know. They went out of their way to ensure I got on the ferry despite arriving at 5:29. I appreciate their efforts to help me, and the ferry was fast and a great value. The staff was friendly and even the bathrooms were immaculate. Would highly recommend this ferry.

The fast ferry is one of the easiest ways to get to the Vineyard. Buy online, pick up the ticket when you arrive. The line to board usually isn't bad. They have a bar and snacks on board, along with bathrooms. There's an upper deck to enjoy the weather and the view. The only negative is the parking lot is gravel, so if you have strollers or luggage it's a little hard to move things around. Definitely enjoyed the ride though.

We were set to depart before Jose struck. When picking up our tickets the staff noticed our return date of Thursday and told us our options depending on the storm, but assured us that we would be taken care of. Amazing customer service. The ferry ride was Fun! Choppy due to the on coming storm, but enjoyable. Clean, quick, painless. Will certainly be using them again! Thank You!
