Thank you for guiding our wildflower hike!

Very nice! I must have just missed the peak of flower season... But it was a lovely hike... The not so much ventured trails were a bit over grown, but we made it!

We take our school kids every year! They camp out the night before and spend the day here before returning home. Its beautiful, quiet, and an easy trail for some who cannot walk well.

would be nice if they grew other flowers and put the names on those. Also, there was no nature center open that would be nice also, if it had better hours and the road was in better shape

Look for tiny wildflowers at your feet off trail in mid to late April, these tiny flowers are amazing!

Erik

Great walking and hiking trails

It's beautiful. Quiet (excpeg for the random jetliner flying close overhead, as the Pittsburgh International Airport is nearby). Trails are impeccably maintained. It's never super busy. Lots of photo opportunities to take in. Plenty of places to simply sit and take it all in. Of you've never been to this part of Raccoon Creek State Park, you're surely missing out.

Rocky Taylor

Great place for young minds to learn about the outdoors. The ranger was great with the kids, kept them interested.

Sarah Katchpole

So beautiful and peaceful. Short, easy trails for most ability levels. Not sure if there is a fully accessible trail, but that would be my wish for the future. Tons of gorgeous wildflowers, both tiny and large. I love bringing my dog to the park, but it was nice that there are no dogs allowed in the wildflower reserve - it makes things a little more peaceful.

Not the field of flowers one would assume is here. Barely any flowers actually.

Great place to look for wildflowers. The peak seemed to be the beginning of May. Very muddy trails after several days of rain. Nice spot for a walk but I can imagine it gets very buggy in the summer.

Janette Knittel

Buds, Bark, Branches walk at Raccoon Park Wildflower Center.

Conrad Schroeder

This is a really cool place with nice trails and plenty of plants and wildlife to see. This was my first trip, and we saw snails, deer tracks, lots of interesting insects, and a striped garter snake. Good for birding too if you remember your field glasses. Only drawback was that you could hear the nearby road noise from time to time.

I wish that I could give this place 10 stars!!! First off, what a great facility! While I wasn't there for a class or any event, I'm sure that they are amazing. Second, THE STAFF!!!!!!! (15 STARS!) I met Shane Miller, an Environmental Education Specialist, who works at the park. He has almost an encyclopedic knowledge of the park. I say almost because he is so into his job that he makes it interesting(so MUCH better than an encyclopedia). He has stories about every acre of the park. I could've talked to him for hours but my wife was expecting me home for dinner! Anyway, I can't say enough about the place or the people and I am so excited to go back...I'll be bringing as many people with me as I can. Shane, thank you for your help, advice, and insight into your corner of the world!

Cheryl Shanor

Interesting place if you enjoy nature and flowers. I'm sure it'd be a nice place to walk in good weather.

Great area of the park with relatively easy hiking options.

We love everything Raccoon has to offer. The Wildflower reserve has some of the best hiking and the Interpretive Center offers free events for people to come learn about various wildlife
