My wife and I have done several bike and bike and boat trips with Tripsite. They provide excellent service and a vast number of areas to explore. The customer experience is terrific, like dealing with a favorite relative rather than a huge corporate travel company. Our three favorite trips were a bike and boat trip from Venice to Mantova, our bike trip across Portugal and our bike and boat trip throughout Holland during tulip season.

LOVED this trip - biking the Camino de Santiago! Wonderful views, guides, and accommodations. Hope to do it again! We can't stop talking about it. I think the varied terrain was more difficult than we had anticipated (and think that most of our group would agree), but it was a great challenge! The guides were so encouraging. The level of difficulty is probably moderate, not easy - we got a major headwind the second day. But thankfully, we were able to conquer it! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was we wished we had known to fly into Porto (instead of Lisbon) and out of Santiago at the end - getting back to Lisbon was rough and a very tight schedule. But it was our first trip, so live and learn. Can't wait to try another trip!

My husband and I went on the Authentic Holland tour in May 2019 for a week on the ship Sailing Home We really enjoyed the whole experience! We really liked traveling through the small towns with lots of wild life. We did not know anyone else but the other 23 people were very friendly and made us feel welcome and we have kept in touch with several. We biked about 30 miles every day, stopping several times along the way for coffee breaks, shopping and lunch. The captain was Willy and his wife was the chef (excellent) and Bert was our biking guide. We would totally recommend Tripsite to friends and will travel again with them!

I've used Tripsite a few times for overseas bike tours and absolutely recommend them. They have a wide variety of tours available on their website: short, long, guided, self-guided, all over the world. They've vetted the tour companies and the tours that they list so you can be sure that they meet the "Trip Site standards" and you're booking with a reputable company. That's important because you usually have to pay the balance well in advance of the tour, so you have peace of mind that you are dealing with someone you can trust, both with Tripsite and the tour company. The staff is responsive and friendly and it's good to know there's an actual human behind the website and behind your booking.

Had a wonderful family vacation. The best part, without a doubt, was the biking!

This is the second time I have used trip site. The office staff did excellent job in keeping me updated on all the details of my trip. Once on my trip I found that the hotels, food and accommodations exceeded my expectations. My trip was complex since I combined three separate trips into a two months' Adventure in Spain. I interacted with three different bicycle companies in each of my different areas of Spain. It would be hard to pick the best one because they were all excellent providing maps and service which again exceeded my expectations. When on the island of Mallorca I did have a noise developed in my rear tire I called the company and alerted him to this problem they had a brand new bicycle awaiting me when I arrived at my hotel later that day.

The ship and staff are excellent. The scenery was breathtaking. But if you don’t like close-contact with people for a week, perhaps this is not the trip for you. Also, be prepared for changes in schedule, weather, and circumstances, and be ready to adapt. If you want a boring trip, take a bus! This is a fun trip and you will meet all kinds of people. Make sure you are one of the ones enjoying themselves! A smile and some friendliness goes a long way! The bicycling is good exercise, but prepare yourself for it. The only reason I did not give it five stars is mainly due to the complainers and crowded-ness, not the tour or the ship. We did meet some lovely people, don’t get me wrong. But I think that my husband and I discovered that group tours are not really our thing - this was our first one. We do not enjoy being herded like cattle at times, and the abruptness we encountered on a very few occasions. The good thing is that you can bike on your own and really enjoy this great opportunity. I would say, “try it and see”. There is certainly a lot to be grateful for!

Good accommodations on board the Barge. Excellent service and attention to each person.

Our 15 day Bike and Barge trip from Brugge to Paris was truly a wonderful adventure. Wonderful fellow passengers to enjoy this trip. Our captain Martin of the "MPS Zwaantje"and his crew did everything to make us very comfortable, including an outstanding chef. Biking through the Belgium and French countryside with many stops for sightseeing was sometimes challenging for two 80 year olds.

I have gone to the Prague to Desden guided tour with tripsite and it was AMAZING. For sure the best trip of my life, first because I love to cycle and second because Tripsite has made it perfect. Since the beginning (from the booking) until the end. The tour is very well organized and enjoyable. I recommend!

As a travel agent in Canada, I found Tripsite to be very easy to work with, they answered emails and phone calls promptly and were very helpful. I would not hesitate to work with them again, or to promote them to my co-workers. Carla and Ika (overseas) were particularly helpful.

Great bike trip! The ride along the Mediterranean Sea is breathtaking. Sicily is different than any bike trip we have taken. Trip is rated easy to moderate but in my opinion is moderate on most days. The places we stayed were very good and agritourism night was excellent.

I have used Tripsite for several European bike trips. They are great to work with! They are quick to respond, provide great information on all the trips, and I will use them over and over.

Just returned from a wonderful cycle trip from Prague to Dresden. The Hotel Clement in Prague was a great start, in terms of location (both for city centre walking & for ease of cycle exit to begin our journey), for breakfast and for access to our bikes. In fact, all the hotels en route were uniformly good, for the standard of accomodation, breakfast & for bike storage. This has not been the case on other routes, with other operators, in previous years, where you would get a mixed bag of hotels. Lukas's bike tour of Prague was excellent. He was so friendly and so informative. What a 20th century the Czech people had! The cycle route itself is the best we have done. The scenery is amazing and there is huge number of attractions to visit along the way. Do not miss the Saxon-Bohemian Switzerland National Park which straddles both sides of the Czech/German border. We locked the bikes and did some awe inspiring hikes. The cycle route is also very well sign posted in both countries, once you become accustomed to what to look out for. There are very few hills and you are on a dedicated cycle path for almost the whole journey. The overwhelming consensus among our group of 12, was that this was by far the best cycle trip we have done, and that it was worth a repeat run. Highly recommended.

I have cycled Tripsite routes through Holland, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Austria and Germany on three trips. My favorite was a pedal around Lake Constance. Tripsite adventures have been well planned, friendly and very interesting. Scenic mareas to explore and historic and artistic sites to visit are highlights of the plans. Staff are very familiar with the routes and ready and willing to help with plans as well as special requests. I look forward to my next cycle trip with Tripsite and often recommend them to friends. I have used Tripsite to book 4 bike tours in Europe. Their customer service is great and perks for repeat customers are appreciated!! Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile to make all the "moving parts fit"!!! I can recommend them without reservation as THE company to use when booking a bike tour. Already planning next year's trip.

I have used Tripsite for several years both for individual and group tours. The range of cycling tours is unbelievable, either by location, difficulty, or style they offer something for everyone. They show that they truly care about their clients and wanting them to have a great experience. When I have a question I can either email or use their online chat to get answers right away. I cannot even think of using any other!

I've just returned from my first bike and Barge tour with Tripsite. It was on the Ave Maria traveling along the Po River in northern Italy. I had the most spectacular trip! The bike rides were longer than I'm used to but I had no problems keeping up. The guides were wonderful and very knowledgeable about the towns and culture as well as the route. The scenery was amazing- well it was Northern Italy so, of course, and the staff on the boat were all so friendly and helpful. The chef and his mate were the best cooks! Every meal was delicious! I can't wait for my next bike and barge tour!

We have been clients of Tripsite for over 10-years and have travelled to a multitude of European cycling destinations. The trips have been informative, fun, and perfect routes for cycling. Tripsite is easy to deal with: they find the perfect hotels, routes, and other details necessary to make your adventure an experience that is memorable. The staff are superlative at customer service: whether it’s payment, hotel planning, destinations, routes, or on the ground support, Tripsite is always there for the client.

We booked three bike and barges thru Tripsite in the last 4 years. They were all great. The last one was on the Kvarner Bay in Croatia. Tripsite is very easy to work with and their web site is awesome. They actually our sort of a travel agent and book trips thru the individual boat tour companies.

This was the second time I did a bicycle trip through Tripsite in France, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. October is a great month to visit the Provence, as the weather is very pleasant. The highlight of the trip was the village of Baux de Provence, a medieval village on top of a hill, around a castle. The views from the hotel patio and from the restaurant were amazing. The food there was delicious. By comparison to the Castles of the Loire trip, which I did last year, this trip involved cycling on country roads with more traffic than in the Loire Valley, and at times on main roads. A few times we were cycling on main roads, in roundabouts, with trucks, which felt unsafe. I suppose the Provence must have fewer dedicated cycling routes than the Loire. Overall, we have enjoyed this trip very much. The villages of Gordes and Rousillon are also very fairy fairy-tale like.

Fabulous cycling through beautiful peaceful Irish countryside

Ivana and Kristofor were excellent guides for our ”Highlights of Dalmatia Plus” tour at the end of September and into early October. The New Star, a new boat in 2018, was more than comfortable for the 35 participants plus crew. Menus onboard were OK, nothing special. The seafood and cooked vegetables were often meager and mushy, consistently over-cooked. Cooking well for several dozen people in a single sitting is a challenge, but can be accomplished. Our biggest disappointment was the cancellation of biking on two islands with national parks. The first could not be avoided due to rough seas and wind. The second, near the end of the trip, was explained as a risk of bad weather, but the weather did not happen. Late in the season this may always be a risk, but the tour operator needs to plan better contingencies, perhaps using ports on the leeward side of islands. Because of the operator’s change in itinerary, we ended up at our final port of Zadar a day early, spending two nights there instead of one. The guides took us on a bike trip from Zadar to a historic town, a worthwhile destination, but the route on the outbound was heavy with urban traffic. Our arriving in Zadar a day early did conserve boat fuel. Knowing what we know, we might have booked a tour that focuses on a smaller area of the Dalmatian Coast, rather than one named “Highlights of Dalmatia.” Independent travel to attractions such as the walled city of Dubrovnik might be preferable to lengthy boat rides that do not provide enough flavor of the promised attractions. We enjoyed the crew and the other clients. Although the trip fell somewhat short of expectations, we still had a good time.

We just finished the Bruges to Amsterdam bike barge trip aboard the Fluvius. We had a fantastic active holiday! Our tour leaders Cory and Ilko were knowledgeable, professional, fun and safety minded. We can’t say enough about them! Our group of 35-40 (I think) had varied biking experience and aerobic ability. We were divided into the fast and slightly less fast group on most days and you could choose your group. Additionally, on most days there were two distances offered which allowed individual choice. The scenery was stunning. This was classified as an ‘easy’ bike ride due to the flat terrain and my wife and I agreed that that was an accurate. We enjoyed our cabin on the Fluvius. There was a storage closet, room under the bed to store luggage and a some shelving beside the bed. Accommodation was a bit tight (to be expected) but we managed just fine. The food exceeded my expectation. The portions were ample and the meals were very tasty. We had lots to choose from at breakfast, we made our own lunchs at the breakfast buffet and at dinner there were always two choices provided for the entree. We couldn’t have been happier. If you are interested in seeing some wonderful scenery in two beautiful countries, enjoy cycling and being active and like the adventure of meeting new people from other countries, this is the trip for you!

Smooth boat ride on the Danube River. Lots of beautiful scenery. Friendly people. Fun biking. 22 staff members on our boat for 82 passengers, high level of service.
