Just returned from tour to Spain and Portugal. Absolutely the worst tour I have ever been on. Unorganized..NEVER AGAIN!!! Wish I could give it minus stars.

Went on the Penn State Big Ten Trip and the Rose Bowl. Accommodating and helpful. They take care of the details. Prices can not be beat.

This was the first and certainly last time I will use this "agency". Eileen, the owner, was so eager to do anything to make us happy, until she got my money. After that, she did not return a single phone call or email. All she did was book through Apple Vacations. So anytime I had a question, I couldn't get an answer from her, and Apple told me I had to ask the agent I booked with. Everyone in her office is just so useless. When my wife went there to talk with her about important issues, she told her she has to make an appointment. But you can't because she never returns your calls. We found out at the airport that our seats should have been assigned when the trip was booked. So our family of 5 were assigned single seats all over the plane, including my 2 sons who are 12 and 13 years old. They were so nervous sitting with strangers that my 12 year old vomited as soon as the plane left the ground on the way down and had to rely on strangers to help him get cleaned up. It was the same with our baggage. They could have been prepaid at time of booking and saved 50%. It costs my an additional $400 because she didn't or couldn't do that because she booked through Apple. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this "business". Save money and a lot of aggravation and just go with a bigger, more reputable company. Obviously I would NEVER recommend her to anyone, unless you need a stress test and don't have health insurance .

Communication with the agency is very difficult. We just returned from the most stressful vacation we've ever had. If someone would have returned our calls to the agency, a lot of the stress could have been avoided. Because of last minute bookings, we ended up paying $105.00 per bag for our luggage. Then we had to pay the same price on the return flight because we were flying on a restricted ticket. I gave the agency 2 stars only because they worked hard to correct their error.

My friend George and I recently returned from hosting Eileen's Canadian Rockies tour which included a 2 day trip on the Rocky Mountaineer. Just want to let everyone know that it is a wonderful experience! We visited Calgary, Banff, Lake Louise, the Colombian Ice Fields, and boarded the train in Jasper. We ended our train trip in the beautiful city of Vancouver. I have to brag on Eileen's behalf and say that everything about the adventure was perfect from beginning to end! The hotels, meals and tours were spectacular! Thank you, Eileen, for giving George and I, along with our 20+ passengers, a trip of a lifetime!! Great job! Ellen Toole and George Potsko

Used Thompson's travel for a group of 8 people to Ireland and London. The trip was very well organized with beautiful hotels in 4 different cities. The private tour guide she booked for us was outstanding. Very knowledgeable and a great personality that worked for our group.

Hotel in unsafe area. Hotel was not up to standards for me. Terrible/nosebleed seats. I told them that i was scared of hts. Lied to by owner. Never again! Eileen was friendly and tried to be accommodating, but i couldnt believe where my seats were.

Just returned from Thompson's tour of Iceland. Everything on the tour went smoothly because of Ellen's checking on the hotel and meal arrangements,etc. Thank you to George too with lifting suitcases and helping with the details and for his reassurance that all was going well. I also appreciated that this was a small group of very nice,helpful people. Thanks especially for help at the waterfalls and the glacier! Iceland is a beautiful country and we experienced many waterfalls, glacier hiking (!), and other geological wonders unique to Iceland.(ie hot springs). Thanks to the planning for the trip by Thompson tours, we stayed in very nice Icelandic hotels, had opportunities to get to know each other and learn much more about Iceland. Kudos to Dylan our guide for all of the interesting facts and stories about the Icelandic culture,history and geology. I would highly recommend this tour. - definitely a bargain!!

NEVER AGAIN! Used this company for a Notre Dame football trip to San Diego. Very disappointed in the services rendered. Transportation to and from Newark was in an SUV that barely held the six in the travel group. At 6-5 I was swished in the back with no leg room. We could not believe we didn't go in a regular passenger van. The driver also driver agonizingly slow. It took 2.5 hours each direction when you barely go 60 miles per hour. The game tickets, promised to be very good, were lousy. Last row, underneath an overhang. Couldn't see the scoreboard. Very disappointed. Check-in at the hotel was also interesting since the rooms were in the name of the owner, not our names. I had to call from the lobby for her to fix. Ugh. Then on the trip I felt like was responsible for making sure our rides to and from the airport knew where to go. I didn't realize I would be working while on vacation. Finally, trying to get a return phone call from the owner was near impossible. Once she got our money communication all but ceased. We were told that we'd have trip details two weeks prior to departure. In reality it was about four days out before we had all the details. She even had the start time of the game wrong. She listed on the itinerary 8 p.m. which would be correct in the East, but it was 5 p.m. on the west coast. I had to point that out! I am glad we make the trip, but I could have arranged the trip much better if I had just done it myself. The other people who went on the trip felt the same way. Never again for me!
