Fantastic event!!! Definitely worth the money. Tour guide/driver was knowledgeable and loved beer. Shared his love with us. We saw 4 breweries in the 5 hours and had dinner at one of them. You didn't feel rushed and could make additional purchases. I would recommend!

Shay Nicole

This was so awesome. I had booked this for me and my boyfriend (was a birthday gift). I never had thought it would be as cool as it actually was. Our tour guide Gill was such a cool nice guy so that was a plus! I love that we got ride around and visit different brewery's and sample tons of beer. It was so knowledgeable and imformative as well as fun and exciting. I find myself really thinking about beer when I taste it now whether it's well known or different. I learned a lot on this tour and I defintely have a love for beer that I never ever had before! This was truly an awesome day and I want to do it again in the future!!!! Defintely worth every penny for sure! Thanks!

Joanne Curry

This was so much fun! Our tour guide John was fantastic and very informative! I have already recommended this to friends and we will definitely do this Again!

Chad Stojonic

Anthony was very knowledgeable about beer, the brewing process and the breweries visited. I would take this tour again.

Patricia Davis

We enjoyed tours and tastings at little known area breweries. Our guide paid attention to what people in the group liked and didn't like

John Radliff

Sean Walsh

loved it. it's like our tour guide Sam was born to fulfill this role in life. we all had a blast and would definitely do it again, let alone recommend to others!

Natasha Pippen

The tour was GREAT. We enjoyed the beer after the tour also. We only had appetizers but seriously I'm look forward to drinking this beer everytime I'm in Philly

My boyfriend and I went on the Original Philly Brewery tour on a Sarurday in April. Our tour guide, Dillon, was really nice and SUPER knowledgeable and passionate. The first stop, Flying Fish, was our favorite. But it seemed that at all 4 stops, the breweries were not very prepared for our arrival and were disorganized. The stops were very far apart and lots of construction (though not the driver's fault) made the time in the van much longer. Lunch at 2nd Story was very good, but not one employee of the brewery talked to us about any of the beer they had paired with the food. It would have been really nice to hear about the specific pairings as we were on a Brewery Tour not just regular customers stopping for lunch. At Lunacy, same thing. They poured us pitchers of beer and then mostly ignored us. No one described to us what were drinking or told us anything about the brewery. I was really looking forward to this trip as it was a surpise birthday gift for my boyfriend. And I really wish I could give a better review, but I honestly wouldn't recommend this particular tour with this company for a Philly brewery tour.

While it took us awhile to schedule, the tour was well worth it! Mark, our guide, was quite knowledgeable and very entertaining. The owner at St. Ben's, our first stop, was quite accommodating and spent a good chunk of time with us talking about the brewery and the beer. The same was true with Yards - Mark wrangled a Yards guy to go thru the four beers with us before we tasted them - including the love-it-or-hate-it Spruce Ale. Lunch at Second Story was hearty and delicious. We met the brewer and he shared his notes following the current brew - a rare treat! While we really didn't talk about the beer at Lunacy, we enjoyed it thoroughly! My husband and I took the tour with our nephew and his girlfriend - both generations had a great time!!

Rusty was an amazing tour guide! He guided us through four different breweries in the Philly area and provided so much insight. Our group had a great time and we'd definitely recommend taking this tour, and ask for Rusty if you can!

Sam Dewald

Adriana Babic

Don't sleep on the Philly brewery scene. This tour is WELL worth the money. Lots of tasty beer and they feed you so you don't get wasted. 5/5 stars highly recommend.

Casey Chima

I had the best time on the tour!!! Beer was so good, breweries were awesome, but the best part was our tour guide Sam! He was hilarious, informative, and an all over good time! Definitely want to come back and do more tours because of him! Bi*ches love cheese!

Katharine Breakey

From start to finish, we had a BLAST! Gill was an incredible host and we made instant friends with all the others on the tour. The stops were full of delicious beer...plenty for all different kinds of beer drinkers. Lunch was also over the top, yummy, filling, and enjoyable!. I'll be sure to share this idea with all of our friends. We had an amazing experience!

Gaby Pull

Awesome time!

Kiana de Guzman

Our guide was Mark, or “Rusty,” and he really knew his stuff. He was so helpful in teaching us the beer-making process, and he was able to tell us what was unique about each brewery. Not only that, but he was so fun and personable. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide! Every stop was different, and we loved the food that was offered for the After Hours tour. It was definitely worth the price of the ticket and more.

erin keeley

Had such an awesome time! Learned a lot and drank a lot! Our guide Sam was knowledgeable and fun!

Joseph Julian Acuna

The tour was energetic and informative from the minute we met John, our Beer Guide. From every step of the way, John showed his passion and knowledge of the craft. Along with the wide array of breweries we went to, my group enjoyed our time in the whole tour. So to summarize, John is a great guy and guide, the breweries were awesome and my group finished the night buzzed from beers and drunk from new knowledge.

Our group had a blast on the After Hours Brew Tour. We visited 4 breweries and sampled about 15 different beers, accompanied by a ton of history related to beer, brewing and Philadelphia. Our Beer Guide Gill, who is not a Cop, was awesome and kept the group entertained and engaged the whole time. He really made sure we all enjoyed the experience and beer. The first stop was across the bridge in South Jersey at Lunacy Brewing Company. It was a small brewery tucked back in a warehouse setting, but don't let that fool you because their beer was delicious, especially the C-3PA, and in a real relaxed setting with outside space. The 2nd stop took us back into Philly to Brauhaus Schmitz on South Street for another tasting and light dinner. The food was phenomenal and right on par with the delicious German beers. The representative at Brauhaus was super cool and knowledgeable sharing tons of details with us about German beer. Our next stop took us to West Philadelphia...born and raised on the playground...you get it....to Dock Street Brewing Co. This is probably my favorite stop on the tour as we got to hang back in the area where they brew the beer and had some super tasty beers, I loved the b.i.g. Juicy. Make sure to pay attention to the Wu-Tang association here, really cool. Our final stop brought us to St. Benjamin's where we once again hung out in the brewing space which was really cool. The beer here was pretty solid, but some styles were not up my alley, still a really awesome place though. I would highly recommend this tour.

Craig Marlatt

Had an excellent tour with my parents while they were in town. Our tour guide Sam struck an excellent balance between being fun and being professional/knowledgeable. Dinner is included too!

I went on a City Brew Tour in Philly and loved it ! Although Philly is my home town and I live within walking distance to all of the breweries we went to, the tour was very fun and very informative. Our tour guide was very funny and well informed on the beer making process. I would recommend this tour to visitors and residents of Philadelphia. Cant wait to try a City Brew Tour in a different city.

Melissa ONeill

Ashley McColgan

We had so much fun on our tour and our guide Chuck was hilarious. Real good time and worth the price!

Tyler Garretson

Our tour guide Chuck was the absolute best. We would recommend this tour for any group of people. He was very down-to-earth and funny and extremely knowledgable. Couldnt have enjoyed our experience any more than we did.

Colleen Miller

Had an awesome time!!! The only thing I would have changed was the dinner... it wasn't a beer pairing, which I was really excited about. You pick an entree and they give you beers with it which is great but it wasn't a pairing. However, the food was really good! I bought this as a gift for my fiancé for his birthday and he loved it. He also works in the beer business and already knows a ton about beers but the experience was still fun for him!

Peggy Bothwell

Very fun way to spend a day, it helped that weather today was glorious! Our guide, Sam, was extremely knowledgeable, and professional but lots of fun and entertaining. The lunch of pizza at Dock Street refer you was delicious. Would highly recommend!

Alison Pasquarello

Had a great time! AJ was a wonderful guide - very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend!

Andrea Mohrlant

Such a great time! We were visiting from out of town so it was a great way to see some breweries that we wouldn't have seen and meet some fun new people! Toured a couple of the breweries and got good, informative but not too lengthy info.

Abbie O'Brien

A good tour guide + group makes all the difference on this tour! We live in the suburbs of Philly but recently took a took with Rusty, who was fantastic! It would be great to incorporate more at each brewery and meet more brew masters and see people behind the scenes. Either way, be prepared to try A LOT of beer samples!

Jessica Pogoda

Had a great time. Tyler was our guide, he was AWESOME!

Lauren Sysol

Such a good time. Our tour guide, Mark, was awesome!!

Frank 75139

If your interested in the beer making process or just like beer this is the trip for you. We went to 4 breweries and had lunch at one. Tried about 15 different beers and learned about the different beer making process. Tour guide Gill was awesome. He knew everything from the process to the history of buildings, and was very light hearted and humerus. He never hesitated to throw out a joke and hve a good time.

Andy Jankowski

The idea of this is great, but poorly executed. We visited four breweries and spend a very disproportionate time at the first one and felt very rushed at the last three. It was also very disappointing that we were not welcomed by anyone who worked at the individual breweries. When we went on the behind the scenes tour, again, no one from the brewery was in the tour to tell us about the brewery, their history, etc. I learned nothing about any of the breweries I visited.

laura Smith

Mark was a great tour guide. Very educated. Had a great time. We'll do it again

Brielle Strunk

Christian Naylor

Anthony was amazing. He took our party on a wonderful tour throughout the city during which we had a terrific time and learned a lot about our favorite beverage.

Jason Rivera

This tour definitely deserves 5 stars. The beer tour guide Tyler was very knowledgeable about beer, very friendly, polite and professional. He did not take us to breweries to just drink and sit down, he made the whole tour a fun filled experience while learning knowledge about beer at the same time. The brewery choices were awesome (the best was Flying Fish) and the lunch was delicious. With a total of 19 people on the tour, at the end of the day everyone left with big smile, a great time, talked about peoples best beers, met some awesome people who came from different states and left with some new beer drinking buddies. Do yourself a favor and do this tour!

Melissa Clark

Yesterday 1/20/18 I attended a #citybrewtour in Philly. It was an amazing time with friends! Great beer, plenty of time @ each stop, & a beer selection & delicious meal at Brau Haus. Our beer guide John was great! John was the perfect, fun, humorous & very knowledgeable beer guide! I highly reccomend city brew tours for a fun festive outing with friends or family! If you're smart you'll request Beer guide John!!

Courtney Sweet

My boyfriend and I had such an amazing time on the Original Tour! Our tour guide, Sam, was phenomenal! He was extremely knowledgeable and very funny! He took the time to get to know our favorite beers and picked flights based on the group. He also picked beers that we normally wouldn’t try to expanded our palate! All the brewery stops were great, the food was delicious, and the flights were very tasty! :)

Diane Heitmann

We had an awesome time visiting all the different breweries and our tour guide, Anthony was GREAT!!! His knowledge and story telling kept us engaged and asking questions. He had a great personality and did an awesome job. Cant wait until the next tour when we come back to the Philly area!

Caitlin O'Connell

Nick Micciulli

Took a private tour with Chuck over the weekend for a bachelor party. He was great, knowledgeable and entertaining! I would highly recommend these for anybody. Our group had an amazing time.

Marissa LeBlanc

Had an amazing time! I don't even like beer that much but had an amazing time! Chuck was a great and friendly tour guide who knew everything!

Chick Hatton

Our driver Chuck was very informative ! It was a nice nite out !

Tyler was a great guide. We had a blast even in the rain. Fun time.

Casie Zarin

Really fun tour - the time flies by! I was impressed by the range of breweries we visited, so much more interesting than the usual parade of medicinal IPAs. We had eye-popping sours, lush and chocolaty stouts, balanced ales. Learned a bit, laughed a lot. Having a fun group on your tour makes all the difference. I will say that the brewery where we had dinner definitely dropped the ball, some members of our party waiting so long for their food, there wasn't really time to eat before we had to leave. That was outside the control of the tour company. I would have loved more time at the final destination - one of the best german style beer places I've ever visited in the US.

Andrew Halper

Was an awesome time and our guide John was a lot of fun. We look forward to doing it again with a bigger group of friends.

Spencer R

Luciana Jalon

Dan Neubert

Our guide, Tyler, was terrific. My girlfriend and I were blown away by his knowledge and recall. The tour itself was great as well, we went on a Saturday evening so most bars were pretty crowded, but on this tour you are taken to the back where the brewing is done so you don't have to deal with the crowds. 100% would take the tour again, even if it was to the same locations. You don't get jipped on beer at all either, you get a taster glass filled to the brim.

Kevin Agatone

John was awesome. Being a history teacher he educated us on a lot of interesting beer history. That was an added bonus for us!

Alex Faus

Great brew tour all around thanks to our excellent guide, Tyler. Highlights of the tour included the homey Eclipse brewery in New Jersey, and some especially good eats at Roy Pitz. Great burger there and very good beers. A good time was had by all.

Al Deppe

Julia Paul

We had such a blast! Gill was an awesome tour guide! Highly recommend and we can't wait to come back!

Adrienne Cattie

We had the best time on our tour. I got this as a present for my husbands birthday and it was a big hit!! Anothony was our guide and he did an amazing tour! I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun night out!!

Bill McHale

Went with my girlfriend and had an amazing time. Our guide was funny and knowlegdable and the beers and breweries were amazing.

Gary Bunje

Carrissa Delaney

Loved this experience!

Nicole Jankowski

We went on our tour yesterday and had a great time with our friends, but can't help but be disappointed by the actual tour itself. I feel like I paid hundreds of dollars to drink a few samples of beer and have an 'ok' lunch. We learned about the history of beer and how it is made (which I can research myself and is not why I booked this tour), but didn't learn anything about the breweries themselves, how they got started, what their specialties are, philosophies, etc. Our tour guide seemed new and nervous, but overall was very nice. At the four breweries we visited, we never were welcomed, acknowledged, or spoken to by a person that actually worked at the brewery.

Joe O'Connor

Amy Bryan

Adam and I had a wonderful time. Sam was a very knowledgeable and wonderful host and we learned a lot about the beer-making process and the various craft breweries in Philadelphia. I would recommend this tour to our friends and we would definitely do it again!

lou Reno

Amazing experience with my wife. Best Christmas gift ever. Used a groupon so the value was unbelievable. Pat was so much fun and so knowledgable. Second story brewing was our favorite, but all four stops were pretty awesome. Brauhaus really surprised us, for we had no idea we enjoyed German beer. Can't wait to do this again with a group of our friends from DE. Thank you again Pat. You're awesome. A+++++

Brian Miller

Had an amazing time! Our guide, Tyler, was hilarious, knowledgeable, and an overall awesome dude. Would recommend to anyone who drinks beer, and i will probably be doing these very frequently.

Tim Kissinger

First and foremost this is not Tim Kissinger. This is his wife Ariel Kissinger, haha. We booked a tour with City Brew Tours in Philadelphia. Met some awesome people. and drank a lot of awesome beer. :) We had a great time on this tour, and highly recommend it. Also Sam, our beer guide was super awesome, funny and knowledgeable. Highly recommend asking for him to be your guide if you are able. :)

Cherese Verdi

We enjoyed using City Brew Tours to celebrate a 40th birthday. Very fun and informative. I wish the time we had at each stop was a tad bit longer. We'd suggest it to friends if they were looking for something different to do. Our guides name was Sam and he was GREAT! Very cool, informative, fun for the group, shared great facts and was accommodating throughout the entire tour. Thanks Sam! Cherese & Bill

Zach was a fantastic guide! He took us to Evil Genius, Doublenickle, Saint Benjamin's, and wrapped up the night at the Brauhaus. I'd recommend against getting the tacos at Saint Benjamin's, but otherwise all the beer we had was great. If you have the chance to go on this tour, you should absolutely take it. I'm looking forward to going again and also trying out the Brew Tours they have in other cities.

Liana Brodsky

I had the opportunity to go on the Philly Brew Tours this past weekend with my two girlfriends, and boy was I not the least bit disappointed! There were 6 other people in the van besides us. Gill was our beer guide and he kept the group laughing and entertained the entire day as he went through the history of beer and Philly, how it is made and how to pair it with food. He really knew his stuff! We ate lunch at 2nd Story and I could barely finish my meal. The pear fig salad and adult grill cheese was amazing! We tried about 4-5 samples at each stop. The tour we went on went to Flying Fish Brewing, Lunacy brewing, 2nd Story Brewing for lunch and Crime and Punishment brewing. Overall, well worth the money and a great thing to do for any local or visitor! Can't wait to check out another City Brew Tour's city.
