Probably the biggest waste of money ever! Waited over an hour at our first stop, then eventually then took an Uber. After our second visit we waited over two hours .Then walked to the third. After waiting another hour or so,We took an Uber back to our car. Would have given it zero stars but it was not an option.

Totally waste of time. Busses have no air for hot weather and our tour guide knew little about American history. What you do learn about is cheese steaks and where millennials like to live. This is not worth $32 per person! Worst bus tour ever.

This tour was a rip-off. We signed up with this tour because it was raining and they guaranteed us that we could still see the city even when it was raining, "comfortably seating and dry". As it turned out, the water started leaking into the bus immediately and everybody inside the bus was absolutely wet, much worse than if we had just walked around with an umbrella. Needless to say, they cancelled the tour within twenty minutes of starting and, of course, we never got a refund or any other option. Never again!!!

My husband and I were standing at one of their stops for 1.5 hours waiting for a bus when there was supposed to be a bus every 30 mins. We made several calls to the number provided to us and finally they sent a van to pick us up. The driver noticed that the sign was an old sign by their company and told us that it is no longer an active stop. Apparently they had changed their route a year ago and he wasn't sure why the old sign was still there. That was why no bus came. When we told management about our experience the person was very rude. He simply offered us a bottle of water. When I didn't see any water and took a bottle of pop he yelled at me and said I could only have water. When I told him I didn't see any water available he said I had attitude and said we couldn't even have the water anymore. I was appalled!! This was the worst customer service I had ever received from any company. I would definitely not recommend this tour to anyone. Not only was the customer service horrible, half their buses don't have A/C.

My family & I had a great time on this tour! Jo our tour guide was funny, energetic, & knowledgeable! Will our driver handled that bus like it was a minivan, great driver. Customer service on the street was good as well. We had no issues other than not having enough time to see all the sights through out Philly!

I have done several hop on hop off tours in various cities and have always had a great experience. This by far was the worst one I have ever done. Everything was disorganized and everyone was very unprofessional. When we boarded the first bus the driver and tour guide were arguing about what they should be doing right in front of us. When we finally got started, we skipped the first 4 stops and picked up some people at stop #5. Another tour guide got on and started complaining about the people we had just picked up. Again, arguing between the employees as to what they should be doing ensued. I felt like I was in a work break room instead of a paid tour. We got off on the next stop and waited for the bus to pick us up. It never showed up. We walked to the next stop, toured the Cathedral and waited for the bus again. It still never showed up. After walking to the next 2 stops and waiting once again, the bus finally stopped at the Rocky statue. We boarded the bus and it only stopped once more before it stopped at the end of the tour. If I wanted to walk to see all of the sights in Philly which we ended up doing anyway, I wouldn't have bought the tickets for a hop on hop off tour. The next day we walked to the sights we wanted to see and decided to try the bus one more time since we didn't want to talk to Chinatown. There were 2 buses parked at stop 1 and after we AGAIN listened to the employees yell and complain, we asked if they were boarding and the woman's response was "They might be running in about 20 mins." We said forget it and once again walked to our destination. I will never ever recommend this tour to anyone.

Awful service, first bad guide of the staff that didnt know what stops are available, the signs and the map are not clear so we had to walk like 45 minutes to find the first bus, impolite and terrible attitude of the driver and guide. They left us 1 hour waiting in the museum of art with the rain so everybody had to take the public bus. Dont ruin your tour in this beautiful place with this terrible company. Lost of your money and time

Even though they say the tour bus runs every 45 minutes, this isn't true. I've taken several hop on hop off buses around the country and even having to wait that long between the buses is rather ridiculous. I would recommend using a different company.

Terrible on-sight customer service. We were standing next to a kiosk (not eating off of it) and Jay (rep) comes over and tells us to stop eating off the kiosk and proceeds to make racial slurs joking with his co-workers. Yelling out ching, chong, etc... and laughing out loud... Really?!? No need need to get racial... EVER. Then in a patronizing tone, tells us to watch out for the loose tiles and not to trip. Is this really what Philadelphia stands for?

Nice tour with a good variety of shops. The quality is highly dependent on the tour guide, though. Our first ride was with Jo, who was fantastic. She was informative, funny and personable. Compare that to our last ride with a guy who seemed to think he was hosting a game show. He had very little information and everything was presented in such an over the top manner, we were tempted to get off just to escape him.

So my brother and friend took this tour today and by far it was awesome! We had three different tour guides, all so funny and very informative. Our last guide was named Gavin and was so funny! Clean bus and affordable pricing! They would come every 30 mins on time! Definitely recommend!

I booked a trolley from PST for my wedding on 9/21/13, and I would definitely NOT recommend them. After my experience it is clear to me that the company does not seem to care about the quality of service they provide. Setting up the event with them was easy, and when I spoke to my contact the week of the wedding to go over everything, I was very confident and felt there would be no issues at all. Unfortunately I was given a false sense of security because the day of my wedding it was a different story. To start, the trolley was 2.5 hours late. My itinerary, which we reviewed several times prior to the event, was never updated. The trolley wound up going to our house in NJ rather than to the hotel in PA where the groom and groomsmen were staying. The explanation that I was given was that our contact was fired 4 days before our event. That's unfortunate, but should not have been my problem. If the person I was working with was fired, you would think someone else would have gotten in touch with me that week to make sure the information they had was accurate and up to date. When I asked why this didn't happen, they could not explain. Because the trolley was so late, we had to scramble and make alternate arrangements to get the groom to the church on time, and unfortunately he had to go by himself without the groomsmen because we had no way to transport that many people. As if getting married isn't stressful enough, he had to sit at the church by himself without his best friends and family before the ceremony. By the time the trolley did arrive, it needed to pick up the groomsmen and also me and my bridesmaids to take us to the church together. Luckily we were not late, however there was a lot of running around and confusion caused by the entire bridal party arriving at the church less than 5 minutes before the ceremony was suppose to start. There was no one to lead our guests to their seats, and groomsmen were still pinning on each others boutonnieres while I was walking down the isle. In addition to messing up our itinerary, our driver also made a mistake with his directions, and it caused us to miss our cocktail hour. I understand mistakes happen, but we skipped one of our desired picture locations so that we would get there on time. We even questioned the driver thinking maybe he went this way because of traffic, but he admitted he made a mistake and missed a turn. The final straw for me was when the driver's GPS died before we arrived at the reception. The driver did not have a set of printed directions to use as a backup, so my husband and I spent our last half hour on the trolley looking up maps on our phones so we could direct the driver to the reception. Apparently they do not have charging outlets on their vehicles, so when the GPS dies that's it... When I called afterwards to complain I was not satisfied with the help I was given. The person I spoke with was bargaining with me on the amount of the refund. I paid for 8 hours and only received 5. I wanted to be reimbursed for the 3 hours I did not get at the rate that I paid. I feel like based on the service they were lucky I wasn't asking for a full refund. The person I spoke with referred to fine print on the contract and would not agree to refund me the 3 hours at the full rate. It was absolutely ridiculous and that is why I say they do not seem to care about the quality of service. I'm not normally one to complain, but I depended on reviews a lot when selecting my vendors for the wedding. I just wanted to get this out there to warn future brides not to use this company. Reviews from 2012 were all good but the company has definitely gone down hill since then.

IMO: BAD, BAD, BAD!!!! Tour guides talk so fast it is almost impossible to understand them. They SCREAM in to the microphone, which distorts the sound. You have to wait 20-30 minutes @ the bus stop for the next bus. The lower level is not air conditioned & the windows don't open. I want my money back!!!!! I would not recommend this company. There are at least 2 others in Philly. I sugggest you try one of those.

Overwhelmingly satisfied with each department of this company. The women at the desk of the buses starting point were very friendly and approachable they didn't stalk us down the sidewalk for attention. The bus came at the exact time of when they said the bus would. And was prompt at each stop as well. The tours guides were very entertaining and kept the bus at a great speed for some great photo taking. We lost or wallet in the bus and contacted the office. They got right to work with going through each bus thoroughly to confirm if they found it. At first they did not but that did not stop them from continuing to look. They went through the other bus that we came back on from and found it there almost halfway through the day. Called us right away and made arrangements to send it over to our address. All I can say is they went above and beyond to make sure they covered every ground. That shows extreme loyal customer service. Can't wait to go on again!

We did the two day pass which included the Eastern State Penitentiary. We rode out to ESP then ended up walking to Franklin Institute after waiting over 90 minutes for another bus. The guides are great but unfortunately the every 15 minutes doesn’t happen. Would I recommend them, no. If you’re in decent health you don’t need a bus it truly is a great walking town.

The tour itself once we got on the bus was fine but the customer service when it came to where to go to board left something to be desired. The man at the ticket counter told us to stand in front of the stock exchange building to wait for the bus there. We walk there and see the bus coming only to find out that it was for a private charter only and that we actually need to wait on the other side of the park area closer to where the liberty bell is. The employees were not helpful or friendly one bit and treated us like we were bothering them. Have better organization for your customers so you won't have to send them on a wild goose chase just to find the right bus. I do not recommend this bus tour due to the horrible customer service alone. These people have very poor organization and people skills.

It was ABSOLUTELY great and well worth the money!! I was a little hesitant at the bad reviews but I found out if you follow procedure/directions/rules there is NO problems at all! We took a day tour and from the moment we checked in until we got off at the end of the day ALL the staff was super friendly/helpful/ knowledgeable/fun/exciting!!!! We got off two-three times and the pick up was always back around in a decent amount of time! Highly recommend this to save the hassle and stress of walking and planning your own tour of the city!!

Arranged this through Groupon. Took the tour during the week in April. The tour is well organized; the starting point was east to find (front of the Bourse Building, where there is a kiosk outside by the curb). There are bathrooms in the back bottom floor of the Bourse. The tour is comprehensive and the guides were knowledgeable about the city surroundings. We got off at Eastern State Pen for a tour and caught a later bus back.

My husband & I wanted to take a bus tour of the city today for our first full day of our vacation here in Philly. We really enjoyed the tour overall, the guides were knowledgeable, friendly & entertaining. It’s a great way to see a lot of the city at once. Loved being able to sit on the top level. Unfortunately, when we were getting back onto one of the buses at a stop we had gotten off at, all of the seats on the top level were taken, so we had to sit on the bottom level with NO a/c whatsoever. We had to get off the bus before we arrived at the next stop we were planning to get off at because I was on the verge of passing out from the heat on that bottom level, and I am not exaggerating. PLEASE do something about that!! When you run buses like that on hot summer days, there’s no sense in not having some kind of even just minimal air flow on the bottom level.

Bought ticket at Wyndham, big mistake Liz told us to go to 5th and Market to get bus for the evening tour.I even questioned her about the lication. At eight oclock no bus ever came . We called Liz she would not answer her phone ,called the hotel and had them transfer the call over to her. She told us sorry wrong place you need to meet at 12th and Market in 2 minutes. Told her there was no way we could get there that quick she said she would send a shuttle for us. It never came, she never called us back. We called her again she told us that her boss said they overbooked and we weren't going on the trip they would refund our money. We were left stranded standing on the corner waiting for a trip that ruined our whole night. Told her that we would be back in the hotel to talk to her and she left before we got there. Told her I wanted to talk with her manger, to have him call us back, Im still waiting for the call. Very disappointed in this company do not trust them they lie to you. I will never go back and buy anything from this company and I recommend no one else does either terrible experience. Dont know how to get refund now! Will be gone for meeting before they start work tomorrow. She does not know whats shes doing. Told me she just started 3 days ago. I guess they didnt train her!

They only had one car operating. If you buy online you can't hop on at your hotel...you need a cab or walk to main office. And they closed at 5....but you buy a 24 hr pass...that gives you maybe seven chances to ride. I wish I had used the other company...I saw many more of their busses go by.

I will never do business with this company again. We had signed up for a tour on January 1st in Philadelphia and when we arrived at the pickup location we found that the buses were not running. The company was closed for the holiday. I attempted to contact the office but got a voicemail and no one ever returned my call. Ok, I am fine with employees having time off with their families on holidays but why did the online system allow us to reserve tickets for January 1st if the business was scheduled to be closed on that day? Having a hard time getting a refund at this time.

Tour runs very inaccurately. They say 45 minutes but we waited over an hour on. Friday. We called at 20 minutes and were told 20 more which was not true. Make sure you take one of the other tour companies that run every 25 minutes.

The driver ran me off the road while I was riding my bike in a designated bike lane. There was plenty of space, and the bus wasn't turning or doing anything that would justify going over into my lane. Also, the driver made eye contact with me, so he obviously saw me. Do not give this company your business!!!

First of all, everyone should know that their prices are negotiable! After printing my receipt the gentleman was also trying to convince a family of 5 to buy, he dropped his price so they paid the same amount my bf and I did. Whatever, I got over it. I honestly did not enjoy the tours up until the very last trolley who picked us up came. The first one, the gentleman had no microphone, no energy to be there, and frankly he made me want to get off the car to skip the rest of his tour. The next trolley was significantly crowded and again, the female tour guide had no microphone.We couldnt hear most of what she was saying, although she did tried her best to shout. Finally we decided to just walk as most as we can and just google things on our own but it started to pour. The last tour guide was great! He had a very positive and enthustiastic voice and attitude, people greatly enjoyed him. This is a hit or miss, you dont know who will you get as a tour guide and also you should check to see if they are all microphone-equipped, the majority of my quite pricey tour guide was a total waste.

Awesome tour guides! Very informative and funny. Jerry was our driver and for the life of me I cannot remember the tour guides name but he was so animated, funny, and kept the tour interesting. Older African American gentleman who is prior service Army. We will definitely be using this tour service again next time we're in Philly. My only complaint was that I wish they had a cover on their double decker buses as some of the other tour buses had. That 30° weather and wind at the top will make it feel more like 15°. Again minor complaint as long as you bundle up or stay on the first level.

Our first day we took an uber around but it was a lot of money and hassle. We decided to try this bus tour and it was AMAZING! We got to get off on a lot of stops and then after we saw everything we wanted to we took the bus tour around as one entire trip. We loved the historical parts like the old buildings and about fire insurance. We had Katie and Aaron twice and she was so funny and entertaining when informing us of the places around.

There are several company offering hop-on hop-off bus tour. The prices are not huge different. This company offers 1,2 or 3 days tour pass. Personally, I think buying 1 day pass is good enough. Because most of the tourist attractions stops are walking distance. Sometimes the wait for the bus and the ride is longer than walking to the next destination. Sometimes the wait for the next bus could be one hour long..... Besides the audio self-guide, there is also a real guide on the bus. My favorite tour guide has to be WARREN!! He is super entertaining and hilarious~ He has super good memory of where you are from. He would acknowledge you if he sees you again! Super friendly~ He has good jokes and sometimes I didn't even want to get off the bus!!

Earnest had us in stitches with all the insight of the city while Marcus exhibited some incredible driving skills as he navigated some tight areas. These are two great guys that we'll search out again the next time we're in Philly. Don't miss this tour if you're in town visiting. An incredible history lesson is crammed into this bus tour. We were very disappointed in our tour on April 29. The first guide was good and entertaining and we tipped. We got off and waited almost an hour for pickup. The second guide was knowledgable but could not hear him or understand. We looked at map and they cut off a loop. I complained that another bus company came by twice and the guide replied the were bigger and had more busses.

First and only time on an open-air, double decker Tour Bus. We had a great tour guide and driver. We sat on the top level of the Tour Bus. Tour guide was well versed in the key points of the city and had a great sense of humor and lots of energy. We were lucky to have a spring-like day on November 28. I can see how the Tour Guide can make or break the trip, but, we sure had a good one. Lots of fun for the money. Could never cover all that ground in your car. My tip to you......park the car and take a hop-on, hop-off Tour Bus, and this one was really good. Enjoy.

The worst customer service EVER... Bad Experience.... I would never recommend anybody. The bus left earlier at the stop than it was supposed. so we missed the bus. At the stop, we were able to contact the manager and asked a refund. She said that all sales are final and it is written on the receipt. However, it was not on my receipt. The guy who was working at that bus stop took a picture of the receipt and sent it to the manager. She said she will contact me next day for the refund after she checked the picture. She never did. I called several times and left messages. She never called. when I was able to contact another female manager she told me they are going to email me with an instruction for the refund. No email. Finally, I was able to talk to one of the managers named Sabrisio and he had no idea why I kept calling. No one made any note for my case. As soon as I told him about the refund, he started to raise his voice and yell. This is the worst customer service EVER...

This tour was an excellent tour. There are a few things I wish I would have done differently. If you are content just riding the tour, then a one day tour is enough. If you like to get off and view the sites, then you need at least 2 days to go through everything. I wish I would have booked a 2 day tour, and rode the entire thing once all the way through and then come back to see the sites. We had several tour guides all throughout the city. They were all fantastic, energetic and knowledgable. They kept our attention and provided useful information. They interacted with all of the guest and made us feel at home.

Try another tour. They did not pick us up at their pickup stop, so we had to uber back. My mother went around once, wanted to go to reading terminal. The drivers took a break at 2:15 said they would leave at 3. She went in Bourse building got a drink, came out before 3, bus was gone. Was told she could catch bus it was 3 stops down??? 70 yrs. old heading out to catch a bus was not an option for her. Total waste of money 4 x"s 35....It def. was not a hop on & off. Beware what they tell you. I was told by their rep. I would get admission to all the museums the bus stops at. I asked her to repeat this info to make sure I would get admission This is inaccurate! They have horrible tour guides on the bus, and they do not give admission to the Franklin Institute . Call the museums yourself to see whether they include admissions. What a waste of money.

Almost ruined my daughter's wedding! We had a terrible experience with chartering a trolley to provide transportation for the wedding party and guests. The driver, Demitrus, was totally unprepared! He did not print out the itinerary, so he did not know where we planned to go. I had to sit close to him to give him directions. The trolley they sent was not the one promised to me. It was in terrible shape! It even stalled driving to pick up the groom! It barely made it up the hills in the area. This made us late for the wedding! The groomsmen were on the trolley, so there were no ushers available before the wedding! We paid for 11 hours - very expensive - to have the trolley available to us during the reception in case guests needed to leave early. When a group decided to go back about 1/2 hour before the end of the reception, the trolley was no where to be found!! I called the office, but of course there was no answer. I had no way to contact the driver! We waited and waited and debated what to do next. Finally, 10 minutes after the reception ended, he showed up! He would not tell us where he was. The only explanation he would give us was that the trolley would not start! Needless to say, at that point, everyone who was left at the reception had to pile into the trolley. So all of the wedding party, including the bride and groom, in our gowns and tuxes, had to squeeze in with the guys standing. I have tried to call PST and have emailed the representative, Shelley, but no one replies to me. I would definitely NOT recommend using this company to charter a trolley!
