Kids ride was 8.50 and all you did was walk around 3 laps which took nearly 3 minutes. Staff are very rude and careless. They talk behind your back blaming you if you did 'something wrong'

I went a few years ago. I am scared of heights and I was nervous of riding the horse. I got instructions of how to control the horse before I got on the horse. The staff helped me on the horse which was nice. They check the stirrups and the saddle. If you have trouble with moving the horse they help you. when I moved the horse without any help they said good job. We were in a line. If someone was far back we waited for them to catch up. The scenery was beautiful and the horses were nice. The stable itself looks nice and clean. The horses loom well cared for and happy. There a pen behind the barn for horses that weren't saddle went. There were two guides which made me feel safe. If I had money I would go every year. Out of all my horseback riding at stables this one was my favorite.

We are novices riding horses. The ride started right on time. The staff were very knowledgeable and patient. The horses are gentle and appear to be well cared for. The group size was about 10 riders and one horse-drawn wagon (for younger kids). The trail through the woods was beautiful. I would recommend this hour long ride for other riding novices.

The girls (and horses) here were awesome. Very friendly and patient. We took our 7 year old twins for their first experience and they did an awesome job. Found this place while driving around PA looking for something to do with the kids. It was an easy trail ride and the staff couldn't have been nicer. It was a little cold when we went but we will certainly go back in the future for another ride. I would reccomend calling in advance to book a time to go. We were lucky they had a ride leaving in a few when we got there but to avoid a wait I will call.

Called to ask about a pony ride for my 2 1/2 year old. Young lady on the phone was so nice. When I arrived they put a helmet on and the young lady that did the actual pony ride was awesome! Haven't been there since I was a child but will be going back for many years to come after the continued good service. All the horses look like they were well taken care of too! Price was very reasonable for what I got today. Love this place! Great for the family!!

We had a great time! My daughter and I are both beginners and had no problems at all. Our guides were very helpful and friendly, the trails were beautiful, and our horses had quite a bit of personality. We saw lots of wildlife along the way including a cute little fawn and many turkeys. It was a great experience--my daughter asked if we could come back again before we even left! Highly recommend!

Very enjoyable horse riding experience. We really enjoyed our ride. The staff was very good and the horses were all well mannered and nice. Slow ride with a couple quick trots. Great for the new or first time riders but can be enjoyed by all. We had to wait for an hour as they were very busy on the holiday. So perhaps best to call and make a reservation, they do take them. Ride is about 45 minutes and price is reasonable.

The horses are beautiful but the woman who was at the desk was rude and not very helpful. She works at their other stable most of the time. She was supposed to have the boss get back to me and my husband to do a private ride and no one ever contacted us. When we called the same woman who we spoke to the first time answered and was rude to the point that even thought it seems like a great place we won't be going there simply because of how she acted to not only us but toward other people who were there as well

My wife and I were first time riders and the staff made us very comfortable. The guides were excellent when dealing and talking to the horses. The trail was nice and relaxing. I rode on a big horse named Timothy and he was great. I must give big praise to staff member Piper. My phone fell in the creek just as we left the stables. Piper was nice enough to take off her shoes and go in the water to retrieve my phone. It was greatly appreciated. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to ride for the first time.

My mom and I got there early we got to meet the horses that took us on the wagon ride a bit before the ride had started the gentleman talked with us about the horses and made my mom feel a little more safe with the horses that were gonna pull the wagon because my mom is nervous around horses and he was awesome about letting us be around while he got the horses ready for the ride.

Friendly staff. Nice horses. We went in 45 min trail ride. The path is not as scenic as I hoped. In fact you see a lot of junk and old cars and homes along the way. Some of the trail is nice though and for beginners looking for an easy ride it is fine.

My boyfriend and I were staying in the resort next door and decided to go for a ride. Prices were reasonable. I was a first time rider and anxious but the staff alleviated some of that anxiety by introducing us to the horses and showing us how to make the horse walk, stop and gallop. The trail was nice. We saw a wild turkey. The horses were calm which in turn made me calm. I was concern about hurting the horse because I'm over 200 lbs and because he was going slower than the others but I was told that he was a lazy horse sometimes. I didn't like the smell of their pee or bowel movements. And the staff should probably ensure that the riders have a horse that can support their weight comfortably.

The instructors talked down to me during the ride. At the end, when we finished, they assumed I would take it upon myself to help my friend off the horse - when I walked over. I wasn’t. They yelled at me and continued to make remarks a few times over. As a paying customer, I didn’t expect that treatment. 1 Star is all they deserve, based on my experience.

The young lady who was the guide was very friendly and helpful. She waited for every rider to catch up and kept on giving instructions. However, I was very turned off by the nastiness and rudeness of one of the female senior workers which helped us mount the horse. She acted very Kapo-like and kept on shrieking at my son and I for not understanding instructions and when we asked for clarification. Otherwise, it was a very nice long and pleasant trail.

Girls who led our group 4 +6 other people's were very nice helpful and young. We chose to go extra distance bc of the review on line. You can find coupon on line to get $2.00 offer person but you have to either bring it with you or scream shot on the phone. Sometimes there is no service in mountains. 45 min through the forest it was nice. Horses were easy and not too tired.

What an amazing awesome special experience my daughter has here. We won a gift certificate that they donated to our fire companies tools and tech bingo ar Thornhurst fire and rescue company. The staff was so sweet and when they realized she had never ridden before they gave her extra attention. And made her feel so special and really helped her to understand the correct way to handle a horse when riding. My husband and I visited mountain creek 9/27/16. We are staying next door at Paradise stream on our honeymoon for the week. My husband has never rode a horse before but I have and this place is great for beginners or experienced riders! Staff was amazing and extremely friendly! Horses were well cared for friendly as well. Rhonda is the one who was our guide I believe and gave us lots of information about each horse and made sure we were comfortable while riding . We will definitely be coming back each time we go to paradise stream ! Love love love this place!

My husband and I were staying at Paradise Stream next door and I love horses so we thought it would be fun to go horseback riding before going home. The front desk told us they usually do it 3 times a day. So luckily we called around 11am and was able to go at 1pm. Theresa who took my info over the phone was very professional and friendly. They have been running the place for over 20 years. It was adorable. They have several horses and even cats on the farm. When we showed up we signed waivers and were offered helmets. Safety first! Then we were brought over to our horses who were matched to carry our weight. They were the sweetest beings in the whole world. We were shown how to hop up and ride. The horses knew what to do and I felt completely comfortable the entire time. Veronica our guide was full of energy, enthusiasm, and you could tell she really loved her job. Being a tour guide myself I understood where she was coming from. Even though we never really ventured out onto a mountain side we walked around in the winding trails and creek and saw several deer, chipmunks, squirrels, and chickens. Very comfortable, simple, and relaxing. Thanks so much!

The prices were extremely reasonable, the staff were knowledgeable, kind and down-to-earth, the place was ADORABLE, the horses were well-trained, and happy, and the trail was gorgeous. The ladies that run the place do an absolutely phenomenal job. They were accommodating and sweet, I would drive here again in a heartbeat. This is a MUST DO while in The Poconos! ♥️ I rode Indy, he was such a wonderful horse, we formed such a wonderful connection, my heart was so full after leaving that place.

Visited Mountain Creek for my boyfriend’s birthday and we both LOVED it!! Did a one-hour private trail ride. Was my boyfriend’s first time riding and he was smiling ear-to-ear the entire time. Our guide, Ashley, was the best, super friendly and conversational and funny and our horses were so sweet. My boyfriend rode Harrison and I was paired up with Dylan. It was too icy to trot but still had a lovely and leisurely ride through the neighboring woods. All the girls at the stable were very friendly would definitely recommend to beginner level riders. Overall experience was nice. We were 15 mins late so they didn't explain much to us except for how to maneuver the horse. The trail was okay nothing spectacular. The horses were very nice and the guide was friendly. Would recommend to book on a weekday so you can get a session to yourself.

PLEASE READ BEFORE COMING HERE!!!!!!!!!!! I’m heart broken to say that our family vacation was ruined due to the old lady everyone here keeps mentioning. First of all we as a family of four were super exited to have our first riding experience together. Not my husbands, his family are farmers. All was good until mid trail the “owner” as she claimed to be rides up to the group. Sees my husband not sitting straight and tells him to sit straight or else he will fall and she won’t have that. Turns to our guide and tells him the same thing. Rudely. She rides in front of my husband to repeat herself, gets loud and tell him he’s not listening. My husband says it’s not his first time riding. She goes off and loudly and rudely says in front of the whole group she doesn’t care and to not give her that “I know how to ride attitude”. She also said “these are my horses and I could have you walk back if I wanted to”. I’m riding behind my husband so I clearly hear every word. My husband is not saying anything at this point and she keeps on yelling. This is all happening in front of the whole group and OUR KIDS!!! Our whole experience was ruined! And what is more heart breaking is our kids rode the rest of the way back sad and asking us in our car why this lady was so rude to their father. My husband before getting in the car approached her aside from everyone to let her know that her attitude and scene was very in proffessional and unacceptable. She never apologized only said “I understand”. As business owners ourselves we are VERY aware that things may not always go as we expect them to but one thing is for damn sure..... you don’t EVER disrespect a paying customer especially in front of their 10 yr old children. Above all, if you’re not being direspected verbally yourself. So everyone, please avoid having your vacation ruined by this unhappy, rude human being. Stay far away!!! Sorry I had to say all this because our guides were nice. But SHE WAS NOT!!! Other riders in our group approached us after and apologized cause they we’re totally shocked and felt bad. Surprised she is still in business even after these complaints on here about her. Will never come here again!!!

On Saturday, August 31st, 2019, my wife, Katherine and I had the pleasure of going horseback riding at the Mountain Creek Riding Stables. We had a blast of time, and we recommend that all fans of horseback riding come and visit the Mountain Creek Riding Stables. The staff was unbelievably welcoming, friendly and very much put my wife and I at ease as we rode our horses. The horses at Mountain Creek Riding Stables are highly trained and do their part in giving their riders an enjoyable and safe riding experience. Much credit should be given to our tour guide, Shonte. She was unbelievably generous, kind and a wonderful horse riding instructor. It was a pleasure riding alongside Shonte and she very much insured that we had a wonderful time and experience!!! We arrived only a few minutes before our appointment and two people in our party weren't there yet. In the amount of time it would have taken for us to start filling out the forms they would have arrived. Instead, our party got told that we had to wait and if they weren't there in five minutes then we weren't going to be allowed to ride because the horses had been out all day and needed to go in. Which didn't make sense because they were going to be out with us for the appointment anyway, it just sounded like they wanted to close up early and go home. Go anywhere else.
