My experience with Dr. Ruan and the support staff was of a caliber and at a high level I've rarely experienced at any retail venue. This place is small and the staff makes you feel like they have no time for you. The Doctor makes promises that she doesn't keep. I got a brand of contacts that she suggested and tried the trial pair. I ended up not liking the suggested brand, so I called and ordered the contacts I usually get. I went back to pick them up and they charged me a $25 restocking fee, just to simply put them back on the shelf. I will not be going back to this place, very disappointed with the service.

You don't have to wait for long because they take you in immediately. The doctor very much knows what she is doing and is very confident about it. She spends a lot of time with the patient and explains everything very thoroughly. The staff is great as well because they will spend as much time as you need to help you pick out the perfect frame.

When I walked outside with my new glasses things looked different to me. I stood in the parking lot and just looked around because my prescription was perfect. My children have been going to Dr Ruan since just before my youngest daughter's second birthday. She is now 9. Dr Ruan is very good with children of all ages. She is very knowledgeable and passionate about what she does. Not only is the Doctor great, she has a great knowledgeable staff as well. They greet us by name every time we come in and they constantly go above and beyond to make sure everything goes smoothly. Ben in particular is great and has always taken great care of us. There were several times we had to bring in all of the kiddos in at one time (4 all together) and they are great. They get us in and out smoothly. We feel like family when we go. Here you get all around care with a smile here and I would recommend them to anyone... young and old. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

Cattle call exam, lazy customer service and cheap salesmen tactics. My husband and I are typically very laid back people but this place is kind of a joke. Making the appointment was simple and we were able to get in quickly. But the exam (which is only a refraction) takes all of a couple minutes and the “contact lens” exam is literally the doctor giving you trials and saying “here”. The frame selection is fine and they offer frames that certain insurance companies cover much more of which is great. The customer service we received was awkward and fake and because I’ve worked in eyecare for many, many years I know when I’m being, for lack of a better word, hustled. The guy ordered some frames for me to look at which was excellent but when he called (to let me know they were in, I’m assuming—I missed the call), no message was left. A few days later when he called back, he said “I don’t know if I called you but the frames I ordered for you are in so you’re welcome to look at them”. You don’t know if you called me? Maybe not something you want to tell the customer. Anyway, when I picked up my glasses (which are fine), a girl just handed them to me with filthy lenses and the black dots needed to check the rx still on them and she said “let me see if we have a case” and hands me a huge sunglasses case and says “have a good day” and walked away. Call me crazy, but I was hoping to at least be asked if they needed adjusted or if I could see. If you want sub-par costumer service and a quick, not-thorough exam where nothing is explained to you and you learn nothing about your eye health, go here.

This was my first time at an eye doctor in years, but it was definitely the best experience I’ve had. I went back within minutes of arriving which is a huge plus in my books. The hours of operation make it so much more convenient to make an appointment without having to take off work; and filling out the information sheet before arriving made it that much more of a convenient. The staff were all very nice and helpful, and I was in and out within 20 minutes.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This woman is a con artist. She scammed my husband into doing hundreds of dollars worth of testing that was later determined by an Opthamologist to be 100% unnecessary. She had him scheduled for laser surgery which thankfully we cancelled last minute when we started getting mixed messages and unclear answers. And now that my insurance has allowed me to get another eye exam one year later, I find out by my new doctor that she “severely overcorrected” my lenses. She put me in bifocals years ahead of time and overcorrected my upper lenses so severely it will take years to get back down to where my eyes need to be. She of course billed all of these over corrections and tests to insurance to collect big. She’s unethical and untrustworthy. Take your business elsewhere!

Said I had -350 vision and convinced me to spend over $300 dollars for expensive contacts and solution....had a eye infection a wk later and went to a DR of eyes at Trinity mills vision here in Dallas. Was told that my vision is 20/20 and throw away the contacts!!! They WON'T refund my money!!!!! Save your money!!!!

We love Circle of Life Eyecare! Dr. Ruan is friendly, knowledgeable and great with my kids! Her staff is always very helpful and courteous. The appointment times are incredibly convenient - from after work to Saturdays. I have never had an eye doctor that was so easy to make an appointment with, and it never takes more than a couple of days to get our glasses. This last appointment my daughters glasses were ready in a couple of hours! If you are looking for an eye doctor I would highly recommend this one!

My daughter has only worn glasses for a few years. The first pair she received from here were extremely small. But we were able to get them into another pair that fit. But since then I have had to call constantly to get her another appointment to get new lenses. Please save yourself the headache and chose somewhere else.

We have two vision insurances. My daughter needed contacts and she needs more expensive ones. I asked whether I can use both insurances to get a year's supply. They told me yes, I asked again when I ordered the contacts and was again told yes it's for a year's supply. So I ordered them. My husband picked them up and I only received a half a year's supply. When I called to find out what happened to the other 6 months' supply, I was told 'we're sorry the insurance only covered one box', which is 6 months for ONE eye. So they ordered from one insurance for one eye, through the other one the lenses for the second eye. I cannot believe that they did that after I specifically asked whether each insurance will cover a half year's supply (for both eyes not one). Furthermore, when my husband got his eye exam, they gave him a pair of glasses like ' take those' (of course they were exspensive) and then he was told his eyes are swollen and that he needed to buy such and such eye drops , which they sold him. He was told to come back a couple of weeks later, when they told him he needs to now had to buy compresses ( again not cheap, it adds up). Needless to say, when they wanted him to come back a third time, he decided to find someone else. He has never had eye problems and felt that they just tried to get more money out of him. We will be looking for another eye place. I am pretty annoyed that they used up both insurances giving my daughter a half year's supply and telling me more than once that it would cover a year's supply. Not very professional. I would not recommend this place.

I would highly recommend Dr. Raun and her staff at Circle of Life Eyecare. The staff was helpful, attentive, and friendly. They were patient with me while we figured out my insurance coverage and deciding on what frames work best for me and my budget. Not even a week later, I had the glasses in my hands. Dr. Raun was extremely knowledgeable. You can tell she just wants what’s best for your eyes. She didn’t waste anytime on trying to sell me something I didn’t need. She gave me multiple options based on what insurance would cover and what I could afford. I am definitely going to be using Dr. Raun for all my eyecare needs!

Today was my first appointment with Dr. Ruan and her staff members Ben and Chelsea. First the process of setting my appointment was so quick and easy with a few questions over the phone and fill out a registration form on their website. They were able to get me in the very next day so no waiting! They were so welcoming when I arrived and the ambiance of the office was very inviting and well organized. Ben prepped me for my exam with Dr. Ruan and he was very down to earth and kind! Dr. Ruan arrived and it was more of the same pleasant vibes! They are very efficient and accurate. I was actually surprised when it was time to end my visit :-)
