A breathtaking place. A mush visit. There's little traffic and TONS of NF land to campout on and call your own for as little or as long as you want. This is also a great place to ride a bike and explore on two wheels.

Love all the great national parks. My kids love the free junior ranger programs with badges they can earn. We love learning about the human and natural history of these gems!

Nice place lots of scenery. They have wild horses there kinda hard to find sometimes though also wild Longhorns rams can be seen to . They have a few buffalo there as well

This is a very beautiful area. Unfortunately, a good portion of the park was inaccessible due to snow. The staff of the visitor center was welcoming and engaging. They took the time to discuss the areas which were closed. The made wonderful suggestions to make the remainder of our trip enjoyable.

Tres bel endroit déserté ou il n y a pas de touristes qui faut la peine d être vu.

Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area caught us by surprise. We've lived and travelled in this part of the Rocky Mountains for decades, but had never paid any attention to this National Park. Never again. Bighorn Canyon slices through 50 miles of country that feels much like the Escalate lands in southern Utah. Bighorn Canyon is dotted with hundreds of teepee rings, which lay in silent testimony to centuries of native culture that thrived here before arrival of western civilization. We saw several small herds of bighorn sheep, lots of evidence of wild horses, and one actual wild horse. We'll be back one day.

Connected to the Wild Horse Range. Beautiful land, awesome overlook and we never fail to see wildlife including a fox, deer, golden eagle, mountain goats and wild horses further in the park. One paved road in that turns to gravel and eventually a two rut path. Four wheel drive and higher clearance to travel the two rut path recommended. You don't have to go past the gravel section to see plenty. The ruts are past the park boundaries.

For the Little Bighorn Canyons this is the right Visitor Center to go to. The yellowtail Dam is not a good Visitor Center to go to. The yellowtail damn is closed during the winter months hand there is nothing to see there. The dam itself is only open 3 months out of the year. This Visitor Center is open year-round. It also has a souvenir shop and a display. Anything that you want to see in the canyons is accessible by Road only near this Visitor Center. Avoid the other Northern Visitor Center

Stopped in to rest and get some information. The ranger at the desk was extremely helpful and pointed out many areas we could get to with our camper.

Try to spend a couple days there so you can really take advantage of all the hikes, and increase your chances of seeing the wild horses that come down in the evening.
