My wife, daughter, and grandson spent a quiet half hour at the upper parking area overlooking the battlefield area. We said a few prayers for those who lost their lives in the battle. The shop was closed as it was after 6:00 P.M. when we arrived.

Moving place... Where you can see where Custer stood on his mount while his Calvary slaughtered children, women, elders and braves. 800 + horses were killed, it is a wretched place. The attack starts off at 4:30 with the band playing "Gary Owen" theme song of the seventh Calvary.

From the visitor centre we have a grand view of the battlefield where so much suffering by all the combatants took place. A sad story from the past. Hiking trails.

all told from their point of view. It's done, gone. over. Move on. You can't hold us in this century responsible for what went on before. And Native Americans were not all innocent. I'm not liking that EVERY SINGLE historical site is all told from the Indians point of view. Stuff happened, over 140 years ago. We also can't judge what the military or the Indians did back then. We weren't there. But crying on and on about it, isn't going to change the past and doesn't allow anyone to move on.
