Marguerite did a wonderful job of setting me up on a once till next time trip to Botswana. The Okavango Delta was a wonderful place, the animals sightings included 2 Leopards, 8 Cheetah, lots of Lions, elephants and everything else you could hope to see on safari. I was not really a bird person till now. the colors and variety where unbelievable. Back to Marguerite and the Julia, all details were correct, all questions were answered during the selection process and all information was spot on. All transit, boarder crossings and light air travel were correct. The selection of camps met my expectation. Yes I would call Travel Beyond again, I think Galapagos is next on my list. The trip to South Africa that Marguerite planned for us was extraordinary! Not only were both of the &Beyond lodges (Ngala and Phinda) amazingly beautiful, the service was impeccable, some of the very best I have ever experienced (and I spent 25 years of my life traveling for business). The guides were truly exceptional-so knowledgeable, personable and helpful. Our guides: Mike Anderson (Ngala) and Warren/Abe (Phinda) added so much to the safari experience, we are forever grateful. Our itinerary in Capetown was also fabulous. Marguerite thought of every detail and even had a fabulous surprise for us one evening. I cannot recommend them Travel Beyond, and Marguerite highly enough. It was the trip of a life time!!

I highly recommend Travel Beyond to help plan all your future travels. My husband and I travel a lot but have never used a travel agent before. We contacted Travel Beyond to help plan a 10 day vacation in South Africa (Cape Town and a safari in Kruger National Park) and were instantly impressed with the personalized attention we received. Our travel counselor, Rachel, listened to our interests and suggested an itinerary that matched perfectly. She was responsive and fit in everything we wanted to do and explore. Rachel provided us with a wealth of information about the area and answered all of our questions. Prior to leaving, she gave us a detailed itinerary, packing list, tipping guide and a list of emergency contacts. Once we arrived, everything was taken care of for us, from a dedicated agent to get us expedited thru customs, to transportation, dinner reservations, guided tours, etc. Rachel is very committed to her clients and even asked for a follow up phone call to get feedback on our trip, what we liked/ didn't like, so she can better guide future clients. 5 stars is not enough. From start to finish, Travel Beyond did a flawless job putting together our first safari experience to South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe. Their recommendations on lodges, guides, restaurants, tours, sites and everything associated with the trip were flawless. Because of their attention to every detail our trip was relaxing and enjoyable making it very difficult to leave and head home. We highly recommend give Travel Beyond the opportunity to make your next holiday an experience you won't forget and will enjoy the memories for ever. UPDATE: Jenny and the Travel Beyond team put together a second Africa trip for us in 2018. This trip focused primarily on Kenya with a final stop at our favorite camp outside Victoria Falls, the Victoria Falls River Lodge. As in 2017, everything was perfectly orchestrated for us. The first few days in Nairobi were truly an experience. Up close with giraffes at the Giraffe Center and with elephants at the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage were special moments. The camps in Kenya, Elsa's Kopje, Loisaba and Elephant Pepper were each spectacular in their own way. We are already working on plans for our third trip through Travel Beyond in 2019.

Africa….what a trip we had! Thank you, Pam and Callie, for the excellent arrangements and preparation involved in putting together our itinerary and accommodations. The weather was perfect for the duration of the trip. Transatlantic travel arrangements went smoothly as did the transfers between the camps and the flights within South Africa. Representatives were invariably waiting for us upon our arrivals, were professional and courteous, and prompt in delivering us to our departure sites. Without exception, the guides associated with Wilderness Safaris were engaging, and impressive in their wide-ranging knowledge of flora, fauna, geology, geography and history. Staff at all of the hotels and camps were accommodating and eager to please. The numerous brochures, check-lists and itineraries you provided before-hand resulted in our being well-packed and provisioned. The welcoming notes left by the two of you for our arrival at each destination were a nice touch. In summary….a perfect trip. With the exception of the elusive leopard, we saw all the wildlife we were hoping to see, and well over seventy species have been checked off of our birding list! Travel Beyond takes service to the highest possible level! Every aspect of the trip my wife, son, and I took to Africa was perfectly planned and extremely well executed. We spent over 2 weeks in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Botswana, and the professionals at Travel Beyond (especially our consultant Marguerite Smit) made sure that every experience was beyond our expectations. We were given the opportunity to discuss our goals for our trip and the type of experience we wanted to have, and Marguerite and team did the rest in order to make it a reality. We were concerned that traveling with a 9-year old would be challenging, but Marguerite made sure to set us up in camps where our son was treated as near royalty. In fact, Travel Beyond's excellent service extended beyond our return home as they were able to organize the replacement of our son's treasured souvenir safari cap that he lost on our last flight in Africa. Craig Beal and Pam Buttner helped us to put together a fantastic first time itinerary to South Africa. We said that this would be a "once in a lifetime trip", however, we are already scheming about when we can do it again! Our stays at Mala Mala Rattrays, Tswalu, and Birkenhead House in Hermanus were fabulous! Travel Beyond and its partners in South Africa handled all of our transfers between the different locations beautifully. It gave us great peace of mind to know that Travel Beyond was there if we had any issues during the trip (which we didn't). Pam spent over an hour with us during our pre departure phone call and the information booklet that they sent us with our itinerary was extremely useful during our trip. This was our first trip to Southern Africa and our first safari, so we had plenty of questions. Craig listened, and then had us talk to three different folks on his staff to get different perspectives on the region and then match that to our needs. In the end, we decided to head to Zambia and Pam and Kelly helped us put together a great combination with Lion Camp in Southern Luangwa and a splurge at Sausage Tree in the Lower Zambezi region. Both were great - service and guide knowledge, the variety of wildlife and the night rides were simply inspiring. Sausage Tree is on the river itself, so we also had the experience of water guides which allows you to get closer to the hippos and crocs and simply enjoy the view. If you're planning on going to Luangwa, make sure you ask about Lion Camp!!

We have used Travel Beyond to book 3 very different vacations and each one far exceeded expectations. In 2007, they designed a safari in Kenya and Tanzania for us. In March 2010, we rented a private crewed yacht for a week's sail in Belize and we just returned from a Backroads vacation in August in Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. The people at Travel Beyond are really good at listening to the type of experience you want to have and then recommending the best vacation to fit your wants. The service and attention that they provide are invaluable. We were assigned Sue Rovegno who crafted a memorable trip to 3 safari camps and Victoria Falls, Sue answered all sorts of questions via email and phone. It was wonderful to have Sue ensure that someone met us at every step along the way and guide us to transportation, etc. The 3 camps were all different, and offered unique experiences. Amazing staff and interesting meals. Of course, we saw the Big Five and dozens more...took about 1,000 photos and videos! What a trip!

Giraffe Manor was at the top of my bucket list and I don't know how, but she was able to get us a room there less than 6 months out! My wife and I decided in mid-January that we wanted to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in April by going to Africa on safari. We didn’t want a group tour but that’s all we knew. After several email exchanges and a phone call, Kota was able to piece together the kind of trip he thought would suit us best. Having returned from our trip last week I can say with confidence he did an INCREDIBLE job. Each stop on the trip was better than the next which really speaks to the excellent flow Kota's planning provided. From the safari to Capetown to the wine country to Grootbos in Gansbaai, we got a taste for four very different landscapes and cultures. There was no stress at any point throughout our stay because every detail was worked out and taken care of. I will absolutely be using Travel Beyond for future trips!

I had a trip beyond my dreams planned by Travel Beyond. We had many, many connections and I thought for sure there would be a slip up somewhere. Someone met us at every connection. This gave us great reassurance. We were in South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Every lodge we stayed in was just fantastic and all of the people at each lodge were amazing. Every guide was superb to watch and always found amazing sightings. The trip planning gave us the most in terms of seeing incredible, incredible wildlife. I loved every minute of every day. We saw incredible animal behavior from a sub adult male elephant charging us, baby hyennas standing on our Land Rover, baby lions fresh out of their den, bat eared foxes, and a Marshall Eagle plucking a Francolin. I could go on and on. It was a trip of a life time but I'm sure any trip Travel Beyond plans would be.

OK, there's no better way to say it - Perfect and THANKS! Pam Buttner was our organizer/fixer/mother hen for our Africa trip. A beautiful human being who loves her job and her subject matter, Pam was our ideal find. My wife and I travel quite a bit and I usually do a lot of research and arrange the whole itinerary. Africa was too complicated and daunting. I interviewed 3 Africa safari specialists and kudos to Pam, she really understood us (she lives in Cape Town and keeps North American office hours with a toll free North America number to boot). We asked for a "dense" itinerary with a desire to see a huge variety of wildlife, get a feel for local communities and hike wherever we could. Pam listened and her itinerary was ambitious: 1) In Kenya: Lewa, Sarara and Naboisho Mara 2) In Tanzania: Gibbs Farm including Lake Manyara and NgoroNgoro Crater 3) Victoria Falls: Zimbabwe and Zambia including Livingstone Island/Devil's Pool 4) Cape Town and Cape of Good Hope Well, Pam obliged. A huge itinerary with lots of internal flights (mostly Cessna Caravans) but a true measure of the continent. The "camps" were extremely well chosen. We got to see a large variety of environs and wildlife and our photographs are overwhelming. Credit to Pam for listening patiently and being bold in trying to meet our needs. She was successful in all respects. A final note: We had dinner with Pam on our final night in Cape Town and she's the real deal. A lovely, caring person (originally from Canada) who has found her soul in Cape Town. She followed us via email/texts throughout the whole trip to ensure all was well. She was available even on weekends and off hours. When she wasn't available Callie in the US office was (thanks Callie!). Travel Beyond - yes! Heartily recommended. Truly a trip of a lifetime!

Our trip to South Africa and three safari camps was perfect. All aspects of each venue were impeccably planned by Pam - we wanted for nothing. Our first stop was Cape Town where we stayed at Four Rosmead Boutique Guesthouse. A more enjoyable and accommodating place cannot be imagined. Our hostess was extremely efficient and pleasant. The first camp, Mashatu, in Botswana, was a perfect introduction to the morning and late afternoon safaris. Mala Mala and Phinda Vlei, both in So. Africa, were our next camps. All three camps were wonderful, alike in some aspects, unique in others. Phinda Vlei offered a spontaneity I thoroughly enjoyed as we were able to include a trip to the Indian Ocean as well as a trip on a river. Pam planned a perfect trip!

Our honeymoon was absolutely perfect - we haven't stopped talking about it. We really enjoyed Mozambique, the resort was beautiful and very relaxing. Botswana was better than we could have ever imagined. The animals, the lodges, the staff, the scenery - we loved it all. The game rides as Savute were a little better than those at Leroo (there was a lot of brush at Leroo which made it difficult to see at times), though we did a boat ride at Leroo which was great. All of the travel went perfectly so thanks again for all your help. Everyone that worked for Travel beyond or that you put us in touch with was helpful which made for stress-free travel throughout the trip. If we had a chance to do it again, we wouldn't change a thing. Thanks for all your recommendations and help Pam - they led to a truly memorable experience we'll never forget.

EXCELLENT Travel Agency! I am an experienced traveler, have used many different travel agencies, and am pretty picky. My husband and I just returned from a fabulous safari in Kenya. When you spend a good amount of money + a lot of time planning, and this is your vacation for the year, your expectations can be high and often disappointment ensues. Not with Travel Beyond! From start to finish Craig Beal LISTENED to what I wanted, helped me choose the BEST camps, organized our transfers on the ground, and air travel. Going to Africa on safari was my childhood dream and Craig and his team really did make my dreams come true! They even helped me when I came down with a terrible cold while at the first camp. I emailed Craig, he immediately contacted the next camp we were en route to, and they sent someone out so there were meds waiting for me when I arrived. This saved my trip. I can't recommend Craig Beal and Travel & Beyond enough for the most amazing adventure of my life!

Travel Beyond put together a fantastic itinerary for me and my family for Botswana safaris and 4 nights in Cape Town. I worked with Ken Marshall, who gave me great advice. There are so many safari lodges out there. If you don't stay at lodges owned by the same company, you're left on your own to coordinate your transfers. The logistics of putting together the transfers is a lot of work. You could do it on your own, but if you're not familiar with the vendors, it is best to work with professionals who can vet the vendors for you. Ken gave us great advice on how to structure our itinerary. I didn't have time to research all the places in the Okavango Delta, and Ken picked great lodges for us that fit my requests. He asked us what was important to us and listened to what we wanted to experience. The vendors used by Travel Beyond are all topnotch. We received VIP treatment and the planes used to fly us out to the bush all looked new and well-maintained. Our trip was flawless and all according to plan. Travel Beyond provides you with everything you need to make the trip run according to schedule.
