This may be a quirk of mine but I'm a fan of rest areas. The Saint Cloud rest area in Minnesota is the best state-run rest area I've seen so far. I go I-35 in Minnesota a lot. This state rest area is on the same par or better than even the federally-run rest areas. If you're a fan of trains too there are railroad tracks on the other side of Highway 10. So freight trains regularly run by here. It's also not too far outside of town but far away enough so you feel like you're still out in the country. I've also napped here a few times and I've had no problems. Plenty of spaces for trucks as well as pickup trucks pulling camper trailers. A great place to stop!

Nice place to stop by and rest . They have tons stuff for you to check Minnesota out with good benefits helpful magazines. Got bathroom , drinks and candies/snacks machines that accept card also :) have little park for walking and dog can do business at park also ;) staff are helpful and nice to me in my last visit.

depending on which way you are travelling, one has to cross the highway to get to it, then cross again to get back and the acceleration lane is very short, prepare to just floor it to get back on the highway. otherwise it's a good place to pee and poop or get tourist information about MN

Always a good thing to stop! Riding motorcycle in the Fall means trying to stay warm. Rest areas are a welcome place to stretch the legs, walk around and use the facilities. Old Highway 10 has 2 rest areas one north of Ramsey and this one, south east of St. Cloud. Yes , the traffic will keep on rolling with out you. However be safe and stop. You may catch up to the snarling traffic , if there is an accident!

A wonderful rest area with VERY clean bathrooms. Lots of picnic areas, a playground for the kids, and paved walking trails. A great place to go bird watching, see some of the gorgeous wild flowers, learn Minnesota history, or see a wide variety of native wild life. If you're a Pokémon Go player, it's a PERFECT place as you will find several rare Pokémon, Gyms, and Poké-spots!
