Honestly, this is one of the most amazing experiences that I’ve gotten to be a part of. Working with this amazing group of people has been truly an enriching adventure; I’ve gotten to go on hikes, do field research and apply my class work in a real world setting. The effort that the Global Treks team shows in the trip to Iceland that I got to go on that they took the time to put together. I’m excited to see what the finished Iceland guide looks like, and I can’t wait to continue to learn from and with the team. This opportunity was easily my best and most memorable travel experience. Having traveled solo and with tour groups, I have been in all sorts of different travel situations. But this internship with Global Treks was different, it was a whole new way of experiencing travel.
