I hate negative reviews because they seem so one sided. Then I had this experience with WTH (BJ's Travel). WOW! Booked 2 cabins over the phone with an agent Terry S. was quoted a combined $175.00 in BJ's gift cards and a combined $350.00 in On Board Credits (OBC). "Book it!" Got the confirmations back in an email and they didn't match. OBC's were only $200.00, $150.00 less than quoted. Gift Cards were actually correct. Unfortunately my agent went on a medical leave soon after the reservation and after 6 weeks of calls and emails I finally got someone on the phone. The CSR on the phone couldn't do anything so I asked to speak with a supervisor. Unfortunately (for the CSR) the supervisor was to afraid to get on the phone and used the CSR as the in-between. (in the end I did send her an email apologizing the she had to take the phone call and that her supervisor would not get on the phone). That call ended with me accepting the new totals, $200.00 in OBC's and $175.00 gift cards.
So here we are a year after that call, almost to the day 5/5/16 and today 5/3/2017, 8 weeks after the cruise, gift cards should be issued in 4-6 weeks we are told. I received 2 $25.00 gift cards, one for each booking, called again and was told there will be no additional gift cards issued. I again asked to speak to a supervisor, this time I was able to speak to someone. Unfortunately they said we can't issue you any gift cards after the fact, even when she can see in all their notes that I was told to expect another $125.00 in gift card on a call on April 3rd, 2017.
So in the end I was shorted, $150.00 in OBC's, originally quoted, and now another $125.00 in Gift cards. For a total of $275.00 shorted on a reservation.
Their resolution was to issue $125.00 in WTH credits that I can use on a future vacation, still $150.00 less than my original quote. Why would I want to book with them again!?
