No problems parking here. Actually plenty of room for a tractor-trailer. Sat here for a reset and visited Garmin across the street. Also walked a short while to Dunkin Donuts and convenience stores.

Helpful for tourists, minimally staffed, but their are restrooms and sometimes a person there to help and lots of pamphlets. Maine don't need a whole lot of guidance honestly for visitors, my advice based on 30 years in Maine, is to eat in Portland, see the views up North (seriously, you have NOT seen the real Maine until you reach Mt. Katahdin and further).

Purfect spot to stop, stretch, relieve yourself and double check your map and information. Personal are friendly and helpful. A dozen or so... Long vehicle (semi-truck, RVs and vehicle and trailer) parking. Dog walking area too... A bit small make sure you have a leash. Bathrooms are clean functional. Vending machines are a touch expensive... But there is some convenience stores (gas too) just down the road a little bit. Park and ride area too.

We have a roughly four hour drive from our home in southern New Hampshire to Camden ME for our sailing trips on the schooner Mary Day, and we usually take the inland route through Gardiner. This rest stop is about half way. It's right near the Garmin headquarters if you are a fan of their map products and GPS and not far from LL Bean in Freeport if you need a shopping fix 24*7.

Fantastic asset! We stopped at the Yarmouth stop off of route 295 and asked for a good coastal route for a scenic tour. The nice lady there gave us a map and sent us down to Harpswell and Bailey's Island. Great Drive on routes 124 and 123!!! She even turned us onto the Dolphin Restaurant on Harpswell (see separate review). GOOD INFO!
