My experience in booking our trip for my husband's birthday to multiple countries in Europe started great with Sarah. But when we got to the airport to leave, we realized the flight was booked for the next day! At the fault of our travel agent! She did arrange quickly for the mistake to be corrected and we made the flight! But her attitude was poor and she had a hard time accepting the blame. We hardly got an "I'm sorry" or anything else apology wise. While on the plane and looking up all of our hotels we noticed the "confirmed" hotels we agreed on were not booked and instead got hotels we never reviewed or heard of. Ended up not loving some of them. We had planned dinners and outings near the hotels we thought we were getting, and had to rearrange and research all over again. And then we realized the train she booked for us for a day trip was booked for the incorrect time coming home. What a mess. Of course we had a great time, but with all of these mistakes, it's doubtful we will be returning to this travel agency. I've learned my lesson to check and double check everything because verbal confirmation apparently doesn't mean too much here.

Glenda at PT is very professional and experienced. A group of us wanted to go to Cancun and she pretty much handled all the hard work for us. Everything was real simple once we arrived and we had a blast. We are now planning our second trip to Jamaica in June.

Absolutely horrible customer service receptionist was rude and absolutely wasted time , management was rude and , there fall back was stating policy, in the three months making payments for a booking, I was transferred to three other agents, Without any notification or follow up , I was so fed up I asked for a cancellation and return of funds, it took over two weeks to get a check

Incredible service backed by a depth of knowledge to travel the world. The staff are kind, involved, and attentive. I've read some negative reviews here but decided to go anyway to book our honeymoon . My husband and I had a very pleasant experience!

PERFECTION for over 15 years! We can't speak to anyone other than Russ Dunlap, the President of Platinum Travel, but if/when he retires, we stop traveling!!! Nuf said? He is undoubtedly the most patient (I sit with him for HOURS mulling over flights, hotels, side trips, etc.); the most helpful (though I love to "present" Russ with my myriad on-line ideas, he comes up with much better ones); the most creative (dreams up side trips, things not to miss, etc. that I would never have found); the most reliable (Russ has never, ever made a single mistake on any itinerary, schedule, suggestion ); and the most genuinely kind, nice and FUN travel agent we could EVER imagine. Platinum Travel specializes in Cruises, but don't let that worry you. ( In 15+ yrs. of planning trips for us, maybe 6 have been cruises, the rest either a mix or pure land travel.) GO FOR IT!

Worst travel agency I have ever worked with. Trying to book a trip and she just stops contacting us. I called and emailed and got nothing! Glad we didn't actually book the trip with them if they decide to just ignore us we could have had problems. Don't waste your time here. We had Glenda as an agent and like I said she just stopped contacting us out of nowhere. We ended up booking with a different agency and got the trip of our dreams. Update: president of the company called because of the review I left and continued to apologize about the treatment we received. He said it was not normal for this kind of treatment. Hopefully other people have had better experiences here and we would be willing to try again with a different agent of course.

My mom and I booked a trip with Christine to the Dominican Republic for this past March and had a great experience. We came in with no idea where to go; we only knew we wanted somewhere warm and tropical and of course reasonably within our budget. We met with Christine twice before booking and she was perfectly attentive to all of our needs and questions -- even after I emailed her a million times with questions! After we had decided on a place to book Christine even did more research on the resort and found out that there was only a small man-made beach on the property. She emailed us right away asking if we wanted to change resorts before she made the reservation -- which we did! Now to me that's service! She ended up booking us at a brand spankin' new resort with a lovely natural, miles long beach at a similar cost to the previous resort. (Sidenote: I totally recommend the Royalton at Bavaro Beach in the DR!) My mom and I had a great experience with our travel arrangements and Christine made sure that we were fully prepared for our travel from the entrance fees into the country to our private car ride from the airport to the resort. Christine was wonderful to work with, exhibited exceptional customer service and attention to detail, and made every effort to make our trip as seamless and enjoyable as possible! I would definitely recommend Christine to a friend and will be returning to her in the future for any of my travel needs!
