On 11/2/18, I contacted Vicky Bauer with travel and transport regarding a trip to Jamaica. I explained to her that I would be finishing chemotherapy in the next few weeks, and would love a getaway where I could relax on a warm beach, and be pampered at the spa. I even had the property selected where I wanted to stay, all I needed from her was to get us the best deal on a room and flights, and to coordinate travel between myself and my sister who lives in another state.
Presumably, she took down all the information that I gave her, and she said she would get back to me the following Monday. At the end of the day on Monday when I still had not heard from her, I sent her an email, explaining how important it was to me that people I hire meet their commitments, and how disappointed I was that I didn't hear from her as promised. To my surprise, I received an out of office message saying she would be out until Wednesday!! Why did she say she'd get back to me on Monday when she knew she would be out until Wednesday??
On Wednesday, Vicky reached out to me, and said she had been "working on my request," and would get back to me by the end of the day, which she did. Within the course of our conversation, she quoted me two different prices for the trip. When I questioned why, and indicated that I wanted the least expensive option, she said she had to run some more numbers and would get back to me the next day, which she did not. It is now 3 days later, and I still haven't heard from her.
The upshot of this review is that if customer service is important to you, I do not recommend the services of Vicky Bauer. Fortunately, we are now working with an agent with another company who has been very helpful and responsive.
