Robert is an excellent guide, sharing stories of the river both old and new. He's open to questions and very interactive as well. Spend a little extra time to get to know the Mighty Mississippi, it's well worth it.

Captain Robert Vavra is a very knowledgeable captain, historian and tour guide. His friendly, fun, and welcoming personality makes the tour unforgettable. It was one of the most informative tours I have ever been. I can't wait to tour with him in summer and fall again.

The Friday night Mississippi River tour with live music was a lot of fun. The band members were also ornothologists and were able to spot and tell us about many birds. The whole atmosphere was one of relaxation and pleasant-ness. We would go again.

Took the Wednesday 6:00 tour. Even though it rained it was a great time. Guide is very good with stories and history of the river and the area. Learned about the migratory birds in the area and even got to see a family of river otters close up. Would definitely take the boat ride again. Relaxing way to end the day

Great tour of the area. Guide had great knowledge of the area and local wildlife. Saw bald eagles and many other birds

Wouldn't do this in hot weather, no A/C. We thought we would get a nice breeze but the driver poked along the entire ride. We only covered a few square miles of the River. The 2 hour tour was cut 25 minutes short, but I don't think anyone minded. Wouldn't do it again and would not recommend.

Hour and 3\4 trip thru the back water and main channel of the mighty Mississippi river. Our guide was beyond pleasant with river stories and birding tips. Really worth the time and expense (which is really cheap $ all things considered). Will do this again if in the area again. Highly recommend.
