Our tour guide was not familiar with our tour. She and the driver had never been to NYC, so that was a disaster. No WiFi on the bus and squeaky windshield wipers for 7 of the 10 rainy days. We were very disappointed. She had very little interaction with any of us, plus there were two different itineraries. The trip may be cheaper than others, but you get what you pay for.

I usually do not write reviews but after reading Nancy Sedlak's review and seeing how inaccurate it was I had to respond. I was on this same tour to New York with her and I am not sure if Nancy was upset about not being able to smoke but everything in her review was incorrect. Mary Vogel was terrific. She was just as attentive to the young lady traveling with her parents as she was with the older adults that needed assistance and myself which I am not a family member. She had us playing games, watching movies, telling stories and laughing a lot. We all got to know each other and make new friends. We had fast food a couple of times while we were traveling but there were always several choices. We did not eat at fast food restaurants while we were in New York. We had plenty of great choices. We were on a schedule but always had plenty of time. Mary and our bus driver Lindy (who was terrific) were so knowledgeable about New York that not only did we get to see all the attractions on the itinerary, there were a couple of special surprises. I cannot express my appreciation enough to Mary and Lindy. Thank you and I am looking forward to another trip with Elite tours. DO NOT HESITATE TO BOOK WITH THEM.

There are many repeat customers who truely enjoy traveling and are team players. Steve & Tony are very good at working with people if they have a conflict that they can't go on a trip so they won't loose their fees. They have many news sights to try...see you soon!

If you are planning a bus trip think twice before going with Elite Tours. Especially if Mary Vogel is the coordinator. We just took a trip to New York for ten days and it was not the best. Mary would lose people and then blame them for getting lost. She did not know what she was doing. They changed the schedule constantly and we never saw some of the things we were supposed to see. And I never ate so much fast food - no good restaurants were on the itinerary. Even had they had good restaurants on the schedule, we weren't given enough time to eat and enjoy meals. By the way, Mary took care of her family and friends and their trip enjoyment, before business.

I have requested numerous times to be removed from their mailing list and have explained that I cannot afford even the least expensive day trip. No acknowledgement and I continue to receive brochures. Maybe it's a good thing I can't afford to travel because if they can't comply with a simple request to be removed from their mailing list, how do they provide good service to customers.

Please beware of this company. I would advise that you read a lot of reviews on this company before making your decision. There are WAY better bus tour companies out there that never have the problems this company has.

I have taken several bus trips. This was the worse. They didn't furnish water for their travelers. The tour guide never kept us informed on when we were stopping. We had a group of 39 women. Ladies were scrambling trying to get their shoes on after the bus stopped. The bathroom on board did not work. Bathroom stops were so infrequent. The guide picked inadequate eating stops. She argued with individuals. She would tell part of the bus one thing and the rest of us something else. Which caused unhappy riders. Before I ever go on another bus trip, I'll be asking if it is Elite.

My husband and I have been on nine Elite Tours. We have also traveled with my mother, both daughters, and two sister-in-laws on some of these tours. The trips have been wonderful....rated very good...with great drivers and coordinators at very reasonable prices. There were some problems on our last trip to New England. The original coordinator became ill and the requested driver was not available. We ended up off schedule....another bus leaving the next day with the same schedule were on time, missed nothing, and had a great time. Our trip did have problems due to the last minute changes that had to be made ....we do understand what went wrong and plan to travel with Elite again. Elite tours really strive to make our trips well planned and affordable.

Had a great time on the NYC tour Oct. 20th. The sites and sounds of New York City were wonderful. The crew was professional, fun and knowledgeable. It was great not having to deal with traffic and we had such a wonderful time. Everyone seemed to enjoy the trip. Since I retired 11 years ago, we have taken a tour every year with Elite Tours. They have always tried to give me the a good tour for the price. One time we had a death in the family they were very understanding. Looking forward to 2013 tour.

We just returned from a trip to Washington D.C. Our tour guide Pam did a great job with the itinerary and looking after the group. We had very knowledgeable step on guides in Washington and Gettysburg. Our driver was inexperienced in DC and had a short temper which caused concern. Elite needs to take this driver off their approved driver list if they have that option. Will will travel with Elite again!

A week post trip to New Orleans and the Deep South I wish to convey my thoughts. First I want to acknowledge the enormity of this job. It was a good value but the extremely cramped spaces on the Navigator bus have never been experienced with any other bus trip. We will never take a tour with this bus again. Supposedly we were rotated around the bus but we sat in the same three seats for 8 of 10 days where our knees pushed against the seat in front of us. The only redeeming moment was the 1 1/2 days that our bus was out of service and another company filled in. Our driver was intent on her own space and left old people standing in the rain after a bathroom break although she was in the bus with the doors closed. We were told there was a bathroom on the bus but "don't use unless an absolute emergency", "I don't clean bathrooms". This was conveyed almost daily from the front of the bus along with edicts about "no Starbucks", "no ice cream" "liquids only in a screw on lid bottle". All this made perfectly sane, responsible adults feel like 2-year olds on a regular basis. These rules could have been conveyed in a much more civilized manner. The Escort gave no commentary of the landmarks we were seeing or where we might be while on the road. I'm sorry she had an upper respiratory infection (as at least 1/2 of the bus passengers acquired and were coughing before the trip ended and I'm sure carried this home). Maybe someone should have come to relieve her when she got sick thus slowing the spread of a virus in close quarters. I will end as I began with acknowledging the enormity of this job and giving credit for seeing many venues in the allotted time.

I have been on 4 trips with Elite Tours in my past 2 years(2 each) Everytime we have been on our way home I start planning the next trip. These trips are packed with JOY every single day. Steve and his crew are Very organized and communicate several times a day to make sure things are going good and will be Johnny on them spot to correct a problem! Accommodations & meals have been great. They stop for lunch where there are choices for everyone. Can’t belive all the interesting places I’ve been with no worries about driving & all that goes with traveling by yourself! I’m looking forward to traveling some more... looking over the choices in the book!

He is a great negotiator and consistently seeks THE BEST available accommodations-- at the best possible rates ---in order to meet not only his clients needs---- but their expectations as well! Since the beginning of our working relationship, I have found Steve to be very fair, honest, and GENUINELY kind! In my many years as a Sales Manager.....I can honestly say that unfortunately.... in this business...it's hard to come by a really "genuine" and caring Tour Operator that has their customers' best interests in mind. Just returned from DC with Elite Tours. The price was good. The tour director Pam did a great job keeping us informed of what we were seeing and kept us on track. The step on guides in DC and at Gettysburg were superb. So much to see in DC - the Smithsonians, the Capitol, the Library of Congress, the Supreme Court, the monuments, Union Station, Arlington. The DC trip was enhanced with side trips to Youngstown, Gettysburg, Washington's Maryland Headquarters and Alexandria. This was the bus driver's first time in DC which resulted in some temper problems. But overall, my brother and I had a wonderful time and are anxious to go with Elite Tours again.
