Tybee Vacation Rentals is great! They helped my family find the perfect house ("Three Sisters") for our vacation and it did not disappoint! TVR kept me up to date with emails after booking and provided me with a link to an app before I arrived. The app answered lots of questions about the property, check in and out procedures as well as suggestions for food and activities to do in Tybee and Savannah. My family and I absolutely loved our time on Tybee Island and had an excellent rental to fit with the beach theme. We stayed at Lighthouse Point 8C and booked directly through TVR. The lady I spoke with was very patient with me and helped me with the process. One important thing that you can do here that you cannot do with some other vacation rental sites, is set a payment plan. This will help with your decision about where you want to stay and how much you can spend while planning your next vacation. We will stay again in the near future. No issues to report.

Tybee is a quiet cottage community, great for relaxing. Our Savannah rental was in a great spot right off Bay st in the historic district. We would use this company again.

Quaint, peaceful property at Captain Quarters B was perfect for couples get away!! Only 4 blocks from the north shore which made trips to the beach easy. We definitely enjoyed our stay and hope to make it back to stay with TVR next year!!

We have been using Tybee Vacation Rental for years and will continue to do so in the future. Many of the properties my family have tried have keypad entries which make for easy check in and check out process. On the rare occasion we found a maintenance issue, they were quick to respond. Using my cell phone to check out with one click on a text TVR sent, helps them get units ready quickly for the next person coming in. Thanks!

This review has everything to do with the customer service that Tybee Vacations offers to their renters. We had an event planned in the area and selected one of their properties as it was the cheapest and most convenient location to our event. We now know why it was cheapest...our event was cancelled due to Hurricane Dorian and we were supposed to check in the day that Tybee had its power restored and bridges opened. Obviously, anyone traveling from out of town would not be about to make the trip knowing that the day before our check in they still didn’t know the conditions of the unit, if the power would be on, and if anyone would be allowed to access the island after their mandatory evacuation BUT this did not matter for the representative we spoke to at Tybee Vacation Rentals. They basically told us that it was our problem and that it was unfortunate but they would not compensate us. I completely understand not giving a refund or compensation when someone reserves a property and backs out which causes the company to lose money that they could have made from someone else... but this was not the case. The property acknowledged that they were working on rescheduling people after the mandatory evacuation and that they lost out of rental income because of it so they took the stance to take their customer’s money who’s logistics were impacted by the Hurricane but were “technically” able to check in. Do yourself a favor and book one of the other many properties on the island that are not managed by Tybee Vacation Rentals. I can’t speak to the other property managers but this one has shown to be motivated by maximizing their income while taking advantage of their customers (and during a natural disaster!).

We have been using TVR for 10 years. I have always been satisfied with our experience. Customer Service is outstanding! Follow up and attention to detail is excellent. Though we have had very few issues with the properties, TVR staff responds to problems and resolves issues quickly. The properties are immaculate upon arrival. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about the properties and the island in general. TVR is always our go-to when we are planning a trip to Tybee

Check-in was a breeze and the staff was really helpful with restaurant suggestions and particularly where to get coffee in the morning! The condo was immaculate and of course you can't beat an oceanfront location. Highly recommend!

I stayed at the Savannah Beach Club on Tybee and only have good things to say. Good spot! Right before town so you didn't have to contend with town traffic to get to the condo. Clean sandy beach with only minimal people on it during our stay. Also we had a problem with our GPS directions from the airport and had to make a couple of calls to the gal on call at 11pm but she handled our distress courteously and professionally and made sure we got to our rental

Booked a house via Homeaway/VRBO, but quote came from Tybee Vacation Rentals. Just be aware that they will fee you to death if you go thru homeaway. Original quote on Homeaway was 3 nights at $219.97 per, total $657.91. Then you get homeaway's fee of $113. Then Tybee Vacation Rentals will add in Housecleaning fee of $150 (reasonable), Guest Services Fee of $60 (what "services" I have no idea) and Reservation Fee of $52.09. So all fees add up to $375, so just be aware. They did offer to remove the Reservation Fee, but first added it into the rent, so when they deducted, they didn't lose anything.

Although due to hurricane Matthew, we could not stay in the rental we had planned we were moved by Tybee vacation rentals to a beautiful home and had a wonderful weekend away with family! We will use this rental company again as they made the process easy and the office staff was super friendly.

We stayed in Island Bliss from July 8-14. It was wonderful and I wouldn’t change a thing. My check in and out process was ridiculously easy and the house had everything(and more) that we could’ve wanted. The pool was perfect for my kiddos and although you have close neighbors the layout of the backyard makes it feel very secluded. We would definitely recommend and plan on staying again!

Rented Sandpiper 207 unit for New Year's "girls getaway"-- LOVED the unit. Spacious, clean, well-stocked, and very comfortable. Location is perfect. Walk to shops, bars/restaurants, and pier. We never even got back in the car once we arrived and unpacked. Also staff at TVR is always friendly and efficient.

We had a good experience with Tybee Vacation Rentals. We had a trip planned the week after Hurricane Matthew hit the area and I was nervous our trip would be canceled. TVR stayed in contact with us through daily emails and then a call to let us know our specific rental was not damaged and our trip was a go. The unit was very clean and the kitchen well stocked. Our only complaint is that the Internet was very poor and was out more than it was connected.

We were at Lighthouse Point 8C, a third floor condo on the north end of Tybee. It was a perfect fit for our short family vacation. 8C was beautifully appointed with an excellent kitchen, two beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms, and a comfortable living room. The sunsets from the back balcony were spectacular. The only issue was the TV - it seemed to randomly respond to the power button and it was pretty confusing. (we are tech savvy folks, so we were not expecting this to be an issue) That was our only complaint, and we would happily rent this excellent condo again. The complex itself looks a little older, but the pools were clean and well kept, and beach access was a breeze. If you're up for riding bikes, there are bike rental services that will deliver and pick up - it's a great option for getting around without paying for parking on the island. You won't regret a stay in condo 8C!

The house is in a nice area , 5 min close to the tybee beach and the house was clean and nice. The sofa bed is very uncomfortable and hard to sleep on it even kids did not like it. Ice dispenser and cold water from the fridge did not work. The house has two garage door which was very nice as we did not have a problem with parking our cars. The house has elevator which was good and we like it.

I had the pleasure of staying at a Tybee Vacation Rental in Savannah, GA December 22-24. Securing the rental was a breeze. Getting into the rental even better as they were very accommodating to my early arrival. The home was beautiful and had everything. The final point of satisfaction was when I left a package in the home. Upon arriving home (when I recognized my error), I called the Tybee office and someone contacted me immediately! This was Christmas Eve around 5pm and someone called me! They spoke with their housekeeping who had found the package and made arrangements to transfer to their office for me to pickup. I can’t say enough about them and “highly” recommend that you consider using them too!!!!!

This company has a complete and total disregard for Airbnb policies. Airbnb clearly states in their handbook that a host may not discriminate for any reason. They are in a complete violation of Airbnb free market policies, and it is very concerning. Airbnb should remove them immediately.

We really enjoyed our stay the Vue condo! It was so nice being right on the beach in an uncrowded area (like the pier) and having access to pools and restaurant right on the property. There were minor issues with the floors not being cleaned (very sandy) upon arrival but tybee vacation rentals sent someone out to have it cleaned within the hour of us calling and provided a gift card to a restaurant for the inconvenience. Would definitely book with them again!

We enjoyed our visit. The house was clean and it fit our needs for the two of us. We liked that it was an easy to walk to the beach. It was nice to open the back door and let our dog out into a fenced yard. When we arrived the people that lived next door had their SUV parked in our space. They did move it sometime during the night. We were not able to get the internet to work. We were there to relax, so it was no big deal. It needed a couple of small repairs - ice maker and handle on the front storm door. The shower was small, which could be a problem for a big person. As a whole the home was nice and it helped make our stay a little more enjoyable. We would stay there again. Thank you for sharing your home.

We stayed the last of May 2016 and had a blast. The condo was decorated beautifully and had a great floor plan with 3 bedrooms. Everything was clean and the location and view is wonderful. We enjoyed our trips into Savannah too. Bike riding in Skidaway State Park is a must for those that like a little exercise fun - we got a Groupon the night before going. The path is just right for a couple hours of fun. We had a great time with our family. Only addition that was missing was beach chairs/umbrella - beach toys. We brought our own this time as we drove, but many times we fly. Having a few on hand at the condo would be nice for the renters. Most of the time when we stay in condos they have a activity closet with those items.

RENTER BEWARE!!!!! Looking for a vacation rental company that's out to screw you the minute your vacation is over? Well, this is the one! This company is nothing but a bunch of low- down, crooked, corrupt scumbags who will find any reason to steal money from you. ADHERE TO ALL THE REVIEWS BEFORE MINE- DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE. Seven girlfriends and myself rented a beautiful home in Savannah, GA to celebrate our good friends impending nuptials. We found the property to be a great spot and had only one minor problem, which was the discovery of dirty sheets on two separate beds. While we believe the sheets were clean, there were many and very obvious old blood stains on these said sheets and we merely wrote that in our comments upon leaving the house, with no intention of seeking retribution or the like. We were then met with a bill a week later for nearly $200.00 claiming we had broken the box spring on the king size bed in one of the bedrooms. The two girls who shared that bed are both a mere 120 lbs at best. There was no possible way the supposed damage could have been from us. When we challenged this accusation looking for further proof and explanation of the costs, we received nothing. Nothing, but an unauthorized charge to our credit card. After we had called the manager, Kay, several times on several occasions we never received a phone call back. When we pointed out that we had dirty sheets, we were called liars, told we were the ones who had probably done it (still waiting for the bill on those too). We were never given an invoice, a work order or any definitive proof of the damage done to the super expensive split box spring, well except for some low grade pathetic pictures which gave us no indication as to what was exactly wrong. Save yourself the trouble and hassle of returning from vacation only to receive a bill for a broken dishwasher, couch, chair, shower or bed, as I suspect this isn’t the first time they have pulled this scam. Glad to know we were able to bankroll some new furniture for them.

Will ruin your stay by nickel and diming basic amenities. For example, if you are staying 5 nights, expect to receive 5 coffee filters, no sugar, cooking oil, 1 ply toilet paper and paper towels, no cleaning supplies, no hand soap, one single use detergent, no extra blankets etc.

We had a wonderful experience working with Tybee Vacation Rentals for our trip to Tybee in June 2016. They are very detail oriented and customer satisfaction is a must for them. Our unit was just about perfect but needed some changes to the furniture in the living area. The furniture was updated and clean but a futon and one soft chair was all we had to choose from. Having said that, we it was exactly as the pictures in the listing showed but when we were there it proved to be a bigger problem for our group of 6 then we thought it would be. We would use Tybee Rentals again with no hesitation and rent the same unit with a few upgrades to the seating. :)

My bubble was burst! I was so excited to return to Tybee vacation rentals to book my summer getaway. I had rented from them last year and had a wonderful experience. After last years vacation I was sent an offer to return and receive $50 off my next rental! Happily this year I call to book the salty paws house and was told it was only available in my time frame for 2 nights. I accept as it worked for the amount of time I had, but was told I could not use my $50 off because I was not renting for enough time! Even though it wasn't available for any longer they would not adjust and give me even a portion of the offered discount! I was told that they they weren't going to because they would have any problem renting it out to someone else! I was floored! Bad customer service! Needless to say I decided not to rent the place, a few hours later I get an email with a rental agreement and realize my card that they had on file from last year had been charged $150 deposit! I call and speak to a manager who tells me they have no idea how this happened and offers me a $25 gift certificate for dinner if I keep the reservation.... Too little too late... So disappointed! They lost what could have been a lifelong customer!

Home was perfect for our Troop of girls to stay and enjoy Savannah and the island. Was well-appointed for our group, plenty of towels, sheets, spare blankets and pillows, closet space, and just space in general to sprawl. Lovely yard with all sorts of fruit trees and critters and landscaping, shade, screened porch, green house, fire pit, boat house, outdoor seating and table space, gas grill, boat dock. Almost every bedroom had a TV and even its own entry door. 2 KITCHENS made cooking a breeze to cut our eat out budget. 2 living rooms-plenty of place to sprawl for the girls to have afternoon quiet time. 3 baths with showers+the outdoor one made getting everyone ready a time-saving endeavor. I almost don't want to post for fear of the secret of our little hideaway spot getting out! LOL

Great experience with TVR! Our beachfront condo was very clean and exactly what we were expecting from the pictures. Although climbing the stairs to the 3rd floor sounds exhausting, it wasn't bad and was worth the view. The team at TVR was even kind enough to provide some suggestions for fresh seafood markets in the area! We'll definitely stay again!

We had a last minute change because the unit on the South side of the island had a problem with the AC. We were relocated to the North side of the island to a similar unit. So glad we got this unit! It was a short walk to the North side beaches which are quieter and much more to our liking. The south side is fun with lots of activity but we found the north side to be so quiet and pleasant. The island is only 3 miles across so getting to the south side or Savannah was very easy. My only criticism is that they do not provide beach towels or chairs. This would be a much welcome amenity as we were coming in from the West coast and beach towels take up a lot of room in a suitcase. Otherwise it was perfect. Would definitely rent with Tybee Vacation Rentals again.

First off I never stayed at the rental due to hurricane Matthew. I will state up front that I didn't buy optional insurance and am out the approx. $4500 for the rental but am applying for reimbursement through my credit card travel insurance. This has been a very difficult procedure and have yet to collect a dime. Consider my experience when you book here during "hurricane season". Additionally, at initial booking the stated rate for the rental changed a couple of times, needless to say not in my favor, this seemed unprofessional as well. Also there was some concern when I stated that I was renting to attend a wedding. I had to affirm that no wedding events of any kind would be planned/held at the rental. While this was not planned it is against rental policy apparently. As I probably would not attempt to vacation on Tybee Island again I doubt I would use TVR.

The condo we stayed in was close enough to the beach, maybe 30 yards. We could see the sunrise from the balcony of the condo. There are several good restaurants within walking distance of the condo. The condo was very tastefully decorated and was well stocked with kitchen equipment. My only minor complaint was that the bed in the guest bedroom was a little harder than I like, but I still managed to get to sleep each night. I would definitely stay again in the same condo.

We rented two properties, Silver Seas 301 and Seaside Watch D. Silver Seas 301 was very nice. It was set up just how the pictures were. The middle bedroom was a little smaller than what I thought. But it was great for the children. I love the master bedroom. The parking was nice as well. However, they could have warned me of the angle of the parking. It would be difficult for those driving a smaller car that sits low. Seaside Watch D was nice as well. My parents loved it. It was just right for them and they were ecstatic that it had an elevator.

Good condos, but they take FOREVER to "get ready". All of the food in my car was spoiled after waiting for hours to go inside. Not to mention the fact that multiple things that were supposed to come with the property like an outdoor fan and a working elevator were lacking. This was met with no compensation. Overall it was ok, but these things definitely hampered the experience of Tybee.

Recently stayed at the grimball Chapman B home and it was absolutely beautiful! The only “con” to this rental is that there is no full bath on the first level. My grandmother had a fall trying to get upstairs with the stair rail being a little shaky but other than that, My family and I had a great experience with TVR and enjoyed how close we were to everything. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone visiting the Savannah area.

It is special, spic-and-span and warm and inviting. The space was perfect for the two of us. The bathroom is a little tight and may be uncomfortably so for bigger guests. I wish I could give zero stars. I’ve used many rentals across the country and in Europe and have never experienced what we did while staying at a Tybee Island Vacations property that we booked through air bnb. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment described as charming and historic. The photos and reviews are very misleading. It pictured cute outdoor furniture in the porch of the building and when we arrived we found not that furniture but rusty peeling metal chairs. The porch was dirty - inside smelled moldy and the windows didn’t open. Only four houses from a beach you would expect beach towels ( we traveled from other states by plane) and for some odd reason dishwasher pods were offered but there’s no dishwasher. There were crumbs or sand in the bed and the floor felt gritty. We stayed the first night but after being in Savannah the second day we returned around 10 pm and turned on the light in the apartment to be met by two very large cockroaches crawling on the floor. After trying to kill them we found another one running across the floor in the bathroom. Needless to say we were upset and called the property after -hours number to be told to go buy bug spray or leave. We were not willing to sleep on a futon and in a tiny space where giant palmettos ( which by the way IS a cockroach despite what this management company says) were crawling around. Clearly this building had not been sprayed. We were forced to drive back to Savannah and rent a hotel room. Nobody ever returned our calls from this terrible property company and even air bnb was no help because apparently you have to photograph very fast cockroaches running across the floor and under furniture and cupboards. So - if you want to stay in this not so charming Tybee Island property be armed with bug spray - and your camera.

Easy to use. Rented out two houses. I was in charge of planning a family reunion, we needed two large places, close together, for only 5 nights and allowed pets. Tybee Vacation Rentals was able to accommodate this request! Both places were clean and ready to use. Check in and out was easy. My only issue, our family would have been better at recycling if there was a container inside the units to collect recyclable items. Other than that the places were clean.

We stayed at the Sea Biscuit and absolutely LOVED it!! It was perfect for our 20 year anniversary celebration as it was just the two of us. It was clean and charming and quiet. My family & I booked 2 very beautiful duplexes from this company right beside each other, to vacation here while having my wedding. My wedding was somewhere else and we weren't having any type of party of any sort here, that's for home. Our wedding and dinner and all is at the Tybee Island Inn. These 2 houses were booked, paid for, and contracts signed back in June 2015. We were in the process of ordering wedding invites, as my wedding is in March 2016. We get a phone call today (9/18/15) stating that the owner of the house has chosen to kick us out, and let someone else rent if who was staying a full week! We were staying 3/4/16-3/8/16. We asked when they knew this, and she said a month ago!! She called today!! She said they had spent time trying to find us something more comparable and had already booked it and transferred that money to the house! I have a few issues with this: 1) the new house is run down and doesn't look good! There is also not enough room for everyone to sleep in it and someone would have to put an air mattress on the floor... NOT! 2) where is the contract for this new house? Didn't get one! 3) new house is lower, where's my $$! 4) I don't understand how you can just take a contract that was signed validated and everything... And it no longer matters! Bad Communication! I was trying to book a condo for 6 months during the off season as I was going to be working in Savannah for a long term job. I tried for 4 consecutive days to get someone to return my phone calls or emails. When somebody finally did, they weren't able to answer some simple questions I had about the property (like does it have wifi? does it have cable?...). They quoted me 2 different prices for the same unit, all of which were different from the price listed on the website. Then they hit me with a bunch of hidden fees totaling close to $500. She seemed to be utterly confused about whether or not I had to pay tax if I stayed more than 30 days and gave me two different vague answers. When the woman I had been communicating with was out of the office (happened three times in one week!) I asked to speak with someone else who could help me - I was told nobody else could book a unit and it had to be this one person who wasn't there! I ended up using Tybee Island Rentals instead. Prompt service, polite and professional on the phone, and they actually return emails!

Our review is not just about where we stayed but more about the service we received from TVR when things didn't go as planned. We actually stayed in three places. Tybee Place 102 was the one we originally picked. It is super cute! Very beachy and the wrap around porch with white rockers is the perfect place to sit at the end of a day at the beach. But the AC decided to quit and as the temps reached 85 inside at 10pm at night we were quickly moved to All Decked Out. Katie was on the phone with us as we moved to the new place. She even volunteered to come to the house to help us find it. All Decked Out is beautiful and there are two wonderful decks with a master bedroom to die for. But we wanted something within walking distance to the beach and so we were moved to Latitude Adjustment B. This is a cute 3 bedroom double. Everything is walkable from this unit. Lots of living space but only one bathroom. But as I said impressive part of our stay was how we were taken care of by TVR. Ashley made sure that we were satisfied and happy with our stay. TVR responded quickly to our situation and went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied. Yes, we had to move 2 times but our happiness and satisfaction was always number #1 to TVR. Thanks to Ashley! We would highly recommend TVR and any of the 3 places we stayed.

I booked a vacation for 9 people with Tybee Vacation Rental. The total charge was $1369.00 We were traveling from the state of Maryland to Georgia on September 14, 2018 and returning to Maryland on September 17, 2018. This was a 10-12 hour trip for my family, depending on traffic. Prior to leaving the state of Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina were placed into a State of Emergency due to a Category 2 hurricane (Florence). I was advised by Emergency management Coordinators for each state and several different Meteorologist through emails or direct messages on their websites that the trip was not deemed safe for my family to make. I was told that there would be severe flooding, closed roads and highways, downed trees and powerlines and potentially life threatening circumstances that they would guarantee that we would run into on our route to Georgia . They advised me to reschedule my trip. I called Tybee vacation rentals and was told that the trip was non refundable and that I could not reschedule unless I rescheduled it to the following week. Myself and three of my other family member work in healthcare. We have to give 30 days notice for requested day off, so that was not an option. I had also scheduled this trip as a gift to my granddaughter who was joining the U.S Coast Guard. Her ship date for boot camp was the following week that they insisted I reschedule for. This company has absolutely no empathy when it comes to their customers I asked Tybee Vacation Rentals to just refund my money and be done with it. They refused!! They said that they weather on the island was beautiful, they were not in the path of the hurricane and the rental property was cleaned and waiting for its next guests. They said that it would not be fair for me to ask them to refund my money because that would be cheating them. The Supervisor Ashley also said that the hurricane was not their fault and that she thought we would be fine driving from the state of Maryland. I told her that every state that I had to travel through was in a State of Emergency and the roads were not deemed safe to travel. I would have been traveling with 9 family members, including 4 children. I have contacted the Mayor of Tybee. he has been in contact with the Owner of Tybee vacation Rentals Amy Gaster twice She claims that she has spoken to me. I have left her voicemails, emails, messages on their Facebook page and messages with their customer service representatives. She has not returned a single message or call. This business has not provided a service to me, but had withdrawn $1369.00 from my checking account, including $170.00 cleaning fee. They re getting paid for a cleaning fee when they didn't even have to clean and getting paid for a service, when they didn't provide a service. Please do yourself a favor and read all reviews on all their websites, Facebook, google and The better Business Bureau Tybee vacation Rentals is not an accredited business according to the Better Business Bureau website. They have numerous claims against them for situations like mine.

We vacationed in Tybee July 2017. We booked a rental through this agency & were given specific check in instructions. Check in was at 4 pm. When we arrived at 4, the parking lot was literally like bumper cars. I went inside & was told my unit wasn't ready. After a 3 hr ride, that wasn't what I wanted to hear. The unit wasn't ready for another hour. When we arrived, we couldn't get in the unit. I had to call the "emergency" number & finally gained access. We were given 1 key for 5 people until the next day. The lock was changed out: on the second night (Sunday) we had a terrible storm. 2 of the 3 lights in the bathroom went out & the exhaust fan stopped working. I called first thing Monday morning, & the bulbs were not replaced until late Tuesday afternoon. I was assured the fan would be replaced Tuesday, but it was never fixed. We paid a lot of money to stay here, & certainly didn't get what we paid for by a long shot. This agency talks a good game & says all the right things but they definitely don't perform.

Fantastic home with lots of room and great for a family getaway. The best stocked kitchen as far as pots/pans/utensils I've ever stayed at. The only thing I'd change is have more towels for guests and supplying a hairdryer, however, those are minor issues and I'd definitely stay here again. Just beautiful!!
