We signed up for jet skis and when we arrived, the lady at the front desk found a problem with our reservation. Despite this, she readily accommodated us and ensured that we were taken care of. We decided to kayak also. All the staff were amazing and jet skiing and kayaking were a blast. You can pull up to see a lighthouse and also got to see numerous dolphins! Will definitely come back. Highly recommended!

We called on Tuesday morning and got an appointment for 1115. We had a great time on the jet skis . They were reasonably priced and a ton of fun. Safety is always first and a ranger was always nearby in the event there was a problem. The area is beautiful and we had a blast. We even got a photograph of us riding the jet skis. Being safe out on the water is one of their primary concerns. Their staff was not knowledgeable and friendly. We will definitely come back

Rented the Jetski’s towards the later part of the day. I was a little apprehensive about riding Jetski’s again. The first time I rented them was in Miami. That experience was horrible. This time was fantastic. No fear here! The instructor was amazing. My partner fell into the water and he was there in a matter of seconds. We had an amazing time and It was definitely a trip to remember!

Great experience and helpful staff. The only issue I had was making our way back to the marina. Large boats were yelling directions to the kayakers and no one could understand what they were saying due to all the noise. It was a very stressful and confusing situation. Not the best way to end the outing, but I would still go back if I return to the Tybee area.

We had a GREAT time at Tybee Island Kayak & Jet Ski. It was my first time on a Jet Ski and from the experience I had at Tybee Island Kayak & Jet ski, it definitely will NOT be my last visit. In addition, the staff was nice and friendly. However, It was hard to understand the boundaries out on the water. The instructor had to remind us constantly where the cut off was which was annoying but it did show that they cared about our safety while we enjoy ourselves. Furthermore, we did have to wait for the instructor for forty-five minutes while he was out trying to find a guy that got lost on a Kayak. The manager did compensate us for the wait with two wonderful pictures on the Jet Ski. I would definitely recommend coming here while your on Tybee island and make sure you get a picture taken. The instructor takes really good pictures!

Worst experience ever. The “Boss” treats you like a child. He is very RUDE!! If he feels like you aren’t listening to him but you are following the rules presented in the safety video he yells and screams at you. Jet skis are old and speedometers don’t work. If you are reading this review. Don’t waste your money here. It was definitely a rememberable experience but not in a good way. I would give 0 stars if possible.

If you're dropping off friends or relatives to jet ski and you aren't getting out there yourself, there's a good restaurant (Coco's) right across the parking lot you can hang out in to wait, or walk down the road a bit to small beach to watch.

My wife and I did the full day package that included one hour on a jet ski, plus a full day of kayak rental, two snacks (including drink and chips) and two lunch tickets at Coco's. We had a great day! The instructor, David, was super friendly and helpful the entire time. We had never kayaked, and I had only ridden a jet ski one time before. I felt very safe and prepared when the training was over. Also, lunch at Coco's was fantastic! We sat on top of the building in the overlook, which offered a great view of the surrounding area. We both got shrimp wraps and greatly enjoyed them. Overall, this was a great deal for a full day of entertainment, and I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an active day at Tybee Island!

Made it just in time, 2 minutes before the mandatory 30 minute training session! If you book online make sure you account for beach traffic, and the roadways in and out are 2 lane... The ride was super fun. If you open the throttle your hangers-ons are tired by the time you need to shut it down, so an hour is perfect. Got to race pelicans, ride beside dolphins, and had to try not to jump swells that were coming in from the ocean side of the bay. Would definately recommend. They dont tell you, but slower vehicles have the right-of-way. Keeping your head on a swivel requires that you figure out how to steer straight while you scan.

I've been here twice on vacation to Tybee and both times were really fun. It's hard to not have fun on a jet ski, right? Freddie and crew are wonderful and they have an excellent location here. Great customer service and very helpful w/ all aspects of operating the jet ski and boating safety rules. I would highly recommend this to anyone coming to Tybee as an activity for those over 16. They'll let you bring your dog too!!

I’ve rented jet skis on the beach before and this was by far the worst. Literally could not enjoy the ride just because of the anxiety of being sure you wouldn’t hit another jet ski, or stay 100 feet away from the other riders. They fail to mention you are basically caged to ONE area where you make passes back and forth. Where you are watched to be sure you stay in this one area. Forget exploring or seeing all of Tybee. For one hour at 141 bucks ( double rider ) you will go back and forth down a strip with all the other riders and other boats passing in front of you. No wave catching ( it’s not allowed ) Not enjoyable. As for the staff they were all nice and informative. I just HIGHLY suggest doing something different with the set up on where you can go with the jet skis.

What an amazing experience. First off, we made our reservations on the phone, and I don't remember the lady's name we spoke with but she was extremely kind and before we hung up she said "Get ready to have fun!". And we did! Freddie was the perfect guide. He let us go at our own pace to get comfortable. Beautiful scenery from the water. We rode right up to the Cockspur Lighthouse, zoomed by Ft. Pulaski. And to top it all off, saw plenty of Dolphins. Highly recommend.

This place deserves a -10. We had reservations for us to take our parents and our 2 kids jet skiing. We checked in and started our paperwork and the owner started ripping the paperwork away from me as I was signing what he asked and raising his voice at me that I was signing my name wrong and “you can’t just scribble your signature, it has to match your license!” I explained that was my signature, to look at my license. He continued to yell at me in front of my family and the other people there. my family was in shock And scared that he was acting like a lunatic and a nice woman working there tried to come over to assist us and he yelled at her too. We asked for the owner and he laughed and said he was the owner to our horror. We demanded a full $400 refund as we were not going to be treated so badly. Don’t waste your time here. I would never take my kids or parents around any grown man that is that rude and angry out of fear of putting them In a potentially dangerous situation. **We went right next door instead to jet ski and those guys were absolutely wonderful, so kind, professional and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure everyone was safe, reviewed all the detailed rules and had a lovely experience. Please go next door instead for an amazing choice of rides with wonderful guides that don’t verbally harass you.

Would give a 0 if I could. VERY disrespectful and rude. The “boss” nor the lady in front knows how to deal with customers and make sure they are comfortable. DO NOT COME HERE. He took us outside and treated us like complete children. They do not have it together and don’t know how to handle customers at all. He started speaking any kind of way to my whole family and once we confronted him he acted like a child. Not sure if he is the actual boss (Freddie) but we will NOT be coming here or giving them or money anymore and HIGHLY suggest anyone else not to waste their money or time here.

I highly suggest the premier package if you're looking for all day fun! The lady at the front desk was super welcoming and greeted my party by name. I enjoyed kayaking alongside dolphins and jet skiing later in the day. The entire process was a breeze. When we got stuck going against a strong current in the kayaks, the staff assisted in getting us back to the dock after we pathetically tried to make our way back. With the premier package, they give you drinks and snacks throughout the day (2 snacks and 2 drinks per person) and a $15 meal voucher (per person) to the AMAZING restaurant on location, Coco (I recommend the fried calamari). Jetskiing was a blast and we will definitely return the next time we come to Tybee Island!

Our guide Freddy was very nice and accommodating. He was also very patient when my husband and I weren't paddling correctly. He even extended the tour a bit so we could see dolphins. The tour was very peaceful and it was a beautiful day out on the water. Freddy was very knowledeable about the history of the surrounding area and made sure to give us an in depth explanation of any historical site we encountered. He recommended we visit the Crab Shack for food which was nothing short of excellent and well seasoned seafood.

Only reason Why this place gets a star from me because i have to put one! So today my family and i walked in to Tybee island Kayak & Jet Ski. We were going to rent a jet ski for my daughter and myself! So everything was smooth tell i said you know what lets rent 2 that way my ol lady can come and join the fun! The guy at the counter looked at my ol lady and said oh theres a 250lb weight limit.. He came around the counter with scale and told her to step on it.. Now i looked at my self and said self , self huh your 250lb alone plus my little girl that 315lb with us two! My lady is no where over 250lb! I find it very rude that he sized her up! He was going to let my little girl and me ride and we are 315lb together! So whats the problem! Anyway, this company will never get my money! Matter fact thinking about open a kayak and jet ski rental in the area! The single jet ski is the same as a double. So shouldnt be weight difference..

If you want to be treated like a child and have the worst time of your life this is the place for you! Your rental time is an hour. However, you are stoped every five minutes to be given a long instructional speech on what not to do. The owner of the place is a complete and absolute jerk. I have personally operated a PWC for over 12 years of my life and I have never had an accident or damaged equipment. After listening to the overkill of instructions he verbally reprimanded me as I practiced basic maneuvering to avoid bumping into another jet ski. He threatened to end our already short time and give us a refund. I gladly said yes and slowly began to head back to the location of the doc.This is where his controlling behavior thrived, he literally chased us as if my girlfriend and I had just robbed Fort Knox yelling at us and telling us to stop. Of course at this point I was not doing a single thing that he was yelling at me to do because I knew my girlfriend and I were ready to go get our refund . To top it off they refused to give me a refund when I was only on the JetSki for 10 miserable minutes minutes which during the whole time I was getting repetitive "safety instructions" this is the worst experience of my life during vacation. There is no way this guy has repeat business and I'm sure the only reason he has any business is because this is a tourist attraction and they come one time only. I repeat do not go to this place you will absolutely regret it. Once again do not go to this place I literally made an account just leave this terrible review. Do yourself a favor take the $125 light it on fire and it will save you a ton of humility and time! I wish I could give it negative stars but unfortunately I could only give it 1 star to leave a review.on a scale from 1 to 5 he would get a -5.

Great affordable way to get out and be on the water. Staff was very freindly And helpful. We had a two person version and got to take our dog with us out to the only beach on the island your pup and run free. Not sure who had the most fun us or the dog. Dolphins showed up on the way back and got to cruise with them for the row back to base. Would highly recommend.

It said online that they were open from 9 am to 7 pm. I called and tried to make a reservation and got their voicemail, which stated that they were "closed for the day". I left them a message and never recieved a response. Instead my family and I drove to Island Head Watersports in Hilton Head, where the staff was very friendly and accomodating. We were able to use their jetskiis for almost 2 hours for the same price this place charges for one, and we had significantly more space at our disposal compared to this place, which made the drive well worth it. Given the inconsistent hours, inaccurate online information, and poor communication, I do not reccomend this place. Save yourself the trouble and drive to Hilton Head.

Wow. What a great kayak rental shop! The staff were VERY friendly and fun. The woman who checked us in let us know where to go, what to see and how to work the tides. The kayaks were nice. The water was perfect and we saw TONS of dolphins - probably between 30-40. There were large shipping boats near by and the dolphins would surf the wake. We saw dolphins about 10 feet from our kayaks. So so so gorgeous!!!!!!! This was by far one of the coolest kayak adventures I’ve been on. I’d highly suggest it to anyone looking for a good, easy kayak experience.

I tried to rent a kayak 3 times to paddle to Little Tybee Island and every day they had a different excuse (we can't deliver today, too high winds, etc.) and didn't offer any lead on setting up another date. The lady at the front desk isn't good with customers to be euphemistic. I wasn't going to leave a review, but it's always a red flag when the business owner leaves multiple snarky responses to bad ratings. I didn't rent a kayak at all - some of the rental websites advertise delivery to Ally 3 for overnight camping (for an extra fee) - and they all (Tybee Jet Ski & Kayak, North Island Surf & Kayak) put a hitch in my plans, worse they were disrespectful and rude. That was the reason I was visiting Tybee so it's a big deal to drive 4 hours from Atlanta and get no "sorry" and just disrespectful bs. If you are trying to rent a kayak or do a guided tour I would check out Sea Kayak Georgia on the main street first - they were the only kayak rental business that was straight forward and said we don't rent over night (only guided tours to Little Tybee b/c of liability issues). I didn't rent a kayak but they were professional, straight forward and friendly. And if you're trying to paddle to Little Tybee to camp overnight I would bring your own kayak, or at least call the store and (try to) set up an appointment a week in advance b/c they are weird about it. North Island's website says to make a reservation 24 hrs in advance, I called and they said they aren't delivering b/c of a class. I went by in person and was told that they aren't delivering b/c they have car issues. It was all inconsistent bs. Also, the golf cart rental staff on the main street was more helpful about paddling to Little Tybee (gave me tide charts and a map of the island) than these two Kayak rental businesses.

The owner of this place was very rude and unprofessional. When signing paperwork my girlfriend made mistake and put her name where 1 of our kids names was supposed to go, as my girlfriend is signing her name he pulls the paperwork away and in a very stern and loud voice says this isn't hard to do people and that you can't just scribble your name, then he proceeded to hold up 2 different forms we filled out was was yelling that the signatures didn't match perfectly making a scene in front of our family and other costumers...remember he pulled the one paper away as it was being signed, another co worker came over to help and he yelled at her to go away..when i asked to see a manager he yells at me that he is the manager, very unprofessional, if you stroll through the reviews you will see that this has happened before with how rude he can be. When we talked with a few locals they all say the same thing about him...go with the jet ski company on the other side of the road they actually do a real tour and you have different choices of what you can do and will have a much better time and they are priced alittle better

I came here on my first visit to Tybee Island. The place was easy to find and we were greeted by a friendly lady inside the Rental shop. We sorted through the paperwork and watched a short video on the rules of Jet Skiing. We were educated on what to do in case the Jet Ski flipped over and then we were off to explore. I did a double person Jet Ski because I never did it before. My friend and I had an hour to travel on the jet ski and we had a great time. We even got up close to dolphins! Of course in the last five minutes of our hour, our Jet Ski flipped over. Another gentleman saw us, and jumped into the water to try and help us. Our Jet Ski guide who is also the manager of this place, started yelling at us, saying "you better hope you didn't pay for a jet ski", and that "jet ski's don't just flip over", "I'm not going to sit here and argue with you". Not once did our guide ask us if we were okay, nor did he ask us what happened. He also did not stay to help us get back on our Jet Ski's. We were mortified. I did not expect such treatment from someone who's supposed to keep us safe. His response ruined our experience. Luckily, we had unlimited Kayaking and we enjoyed doing that. I would recommend this place to people who want a day of fun but whom they employ as the manager/tour guide needs to be reconsidered.
