Amy was a terrific guide. It's amazing how she could control the raft with simple inputs and commands to the crew. The middle Ocoee was great, and the entire experience was ran very smoothly. If you pay attention to your guide you'll have a great experience. They also bus you in and out (a short 15 min ride). Would certainly go again.

Took my family there for a whitewater rafting trip. They loved it and they all want to go back for a longer trip. We did the middle section o ly and it was a bunch of fun. Our guide was Greg and he was outstanding. He taught us a few tricks and helped to make it a great day on the river. This was a first trip for our three kids and the first time I have gone with my wife. It was a little tamer than I remembered from years ago but it was worth it and something that we will be doing again soon as a family. We also got to meet some really nice folks from other parts of the Southeast on our trip and our kids learned a little bit about stepping out of their comfort zones and doing things that are different. I can not remember a time they all have had so much fun getting wet and cold but it was great and we can't wait to do it again. Thanks to all the staff there for making it a great day for our family.

We happen to go during the busiest part of the season, but our guides were wonderful. We watched several other companies providing the same experience, but none of the other companies spent ANY time and effort doing tricks (surfing the rapids when able). First timer. I don't recommend this, but I showed up on a whim and was totally prepared to be turned away. BUT these ppl are so awesome they threw me in last minute (I was alone-flying solo lol) with a few other girls and gave me a FANTASTIC guide. As much with any guided activity, they can really have a huge impact on your entire experience. Our guide Kevin was SO good. Not only could he competently control the raft but also compensates for our untrained mishandling. None of us were able to get back into the raft after swimming, so I was SHOCKED to see him physically haul soaking wet lady after lady out of the water like beast mode lol. I saw some other guides having the other members of the boat help each other back in. It looked painful and embarrassing for them. I'm very grateful Kevin was so strong. He was very kind and actively watched out for other guides and rafts to ensure everyone was safe and under control, including waiting for anyone who had issues to catch up or offer assistance. Not once did I feel unsafe or unprotected. Which was very very nice for a solo first timer. ❤ ok so now onto the actual river ride...WOW! So much fun! Its unlike anything I've ever done. You gotta work hard for your fun. I love it. Kevin told us lots of interesting fun facts as we were passing rock formations, vegetation and of course the huge dam. It was not only fun but educational. But he also allowed us our own conversations amongst ourselves without dominating the boat conversations. With 4 girls I'm sure you can imagine how chatty we were ;-) it's not full time paddling. There's a lot of down time you can enjoy resting. We were also able to disembark to swim. That was fun! I would highly recommend this company and specifically Kevin. I can't wait to go back for an all day full river ride! Every single employee i encountered took EXCELLENT care me. From me walking in to me leaving the parking lot, I was treated like Gold. From admission to the photos at the end. Those girls might be my new heroes. I simply can't express what a lovely, chill, welcoming, positive and memorable experience I had. Great company on a great adventure. Incredible. I also watched another guide named Katrina. She was fun to talk to, very friendly and appeared to be a great guide. Also: don't forget your shower gear for after the ride. It's no fun dressing without a towel to dry off with! Haha.

Wow! What a great experience! This past weekend we river rafted at the Ocoee Adventure Center and it was a blast! Our guide was John G. who was experienced and funny! He really knew how to make the trip an ultimate experience. He made the trip as fun as possible for us by doing cool tricks and really guiding us with experience and ease. I believe John G. said he had been rafting for 15 years. There are a ton of companies you could raft with, but I definitely would choose this one! Safe, reliable, fun and customer service oriented!

This is the best company with which to book your trip. It is also conveniently located near the '96 Olympic Whitewater site. The guides are awesome and make the experience even more fun. I suggest that everyone come here to have an outdoor adventure.

Based on a rec from our cabin rental place, we booked with OAC for the last trip of the day. Three in our group were first-timers and we wanted an outstanding experience for them. We spotted a guide we hoped for as soon as we stepped off the bus and by a stroke of the best luck, we got him! Gator Man rocked it the whole trip -- immediately assigning perfect nicknames for each of us, sharing funny "true" stories, history of the Ocoee, jokes that kept us laughing the whole way, and giving us the ride of our lives. Can't wait to do the Upper next time!

I visited a while back and forgot to do a review then. But this was my first and definitely not last time I have ever gone white water rafting. I cannot remember our guide but I know he had been doing it for quite a while. We passed a few overturned rafts on the way and thank God that didn’t happen to us. I was initially terrified so to have no mishaps happen (even as common as they are) I was grateful. It was so much fun and I am glad I chose Ocoee Adventure Center for my first rafting experience!

First time out for three of our passengers, Bobby our guide, Karin in the Rescue boat and Clayton in the kayak following made us feel safe and secure. It was a spectacular adventure on the 3 and 4 rated rapids and our guide Bobby kept us all in the boat, while other companies rafts were dumping people right and left. His experience and skill surpassed all others. The office staff at Ocoee Adventure Center were also great. We had missed the last boat for their company, they called another company for us which turned out to be too late, instead they were able to put together one more boat out just for us. OAC went above and beyond providing fantastic customer service!

This is the best rafting company I’ve ever been to. The reservation and check in process was so simple. Everything went so smoothly and in a timely matter. All of the staff was so full of knowledge and beyond friendly and fun. Our guide’s name was Amy and she was absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend requesting her if you can. She directed us through the rapids with ease and we all had a blast. It is obvious she has so much experience and really makes sure it’s not only fun but safe. I had a GREAT experience with the Ocoee Adventure Center! Organized, friendly, professional, timely, and kayaking guide Jordan was great! I am from Charlotte, NC and I am a whitewater kayaker; however, all of my kayaking experience has only been at the US National Whitewater Center in Charlotte. I have been wanting to paddle the Ocoee for years and I finally made the trip this summer. I also really wanted a seasoned guide to make a few runs down the river with me- just to show me things like; the put in, take out, lines on the water to take, "dos" and "dont's" on real rivers/proper etiquette, as well as helping me with my paddling technique. Jordan did all these things. He was a lot fun to paddle with, friendly, positive, and professional. He gave excellent instruction and tips that were easy for me to understand and implement immediately. He always had safety as his priority. Expectations were exceeded big time. This trip was awesome and a private guide was worth every penny. I highly recommend Ocoee Adventure Center and Jordan as a guide! You guys rock! Thank you!

Wonderful time until I fell out of the boat and sprained both ankles and I banged up my elbow. But our guide Ski and everyone was so great and Kevin took care of my banged-up elbow. Everyone was very kind and helpful after my accident. Btw, I actually broke the ankle-totally okay now but took over 4 months to get right. Thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunately I will not be white water rafting anymore. I will recommend your company though.

Amy was a wonderful guide and it was one of the greatest experiences of our lives! We all felt completely safe and had so much fun at the same time. It was truly incredible, and this is coming from some first timers! Only negative was it was a chilly day and we were asking if we'd be cold, and they recommended purchasing a long sleeve quick dry shirt from them, only to find out that they provided jackets on the river for free. Cam, took my special requests and needs and was able to deliver. You definitely want to book the full river trip, which includes the upper section, home cooked lunch break and middle section. These class 3 and 4 rapids provide just the right amount of adventure without making you nervous. I would recommend selecting Fast Fred as your Guide. He is very experienced and his skill level us amongst the highest. He took the extra time to make my wife feel safe and comfortable, and he is very entertaining. We never felt scared, no one fell out into the river, and he kept us smiling. Thanks Fred! Also, they offer excellent photos and t-shirts.
