Global Escapes Athens and Beth Barnett planned the best Christmas vacation ever! Our stay at Grand Velas Riviera Maya will be hard to beat. It was beautiful and every single details had been taken care of for us. We had detailed instructions on an user-friendly app on our phones. Beth, in particular, went above and beyond to make our stay fabulous. I had one question while we were there, and got an immediate text response from her. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the many activities offered: zumba, dance lessons, water aerobics, badminton, beach volley ball, and massages. The food was the best we have ever had! I can not say enough good things about Beth, Global Escapes, or Grand Velas. Already saving for the next trip!

I REALLY like this place. Granted, it is not a true resort but it is clean and comfortable and the people are great. The Grove is swinger friendly so my advice is not to go if that concept makes you uncomfortable.I have met fine people from all walks of life ranging from doctors and lawyers to truck drivers. The one common thread is that everyone is nice, laid back and fun. It is my favorite place to go and just chill. Don't expect an orgy. You may or may not connect with anyone. Most of the clientele are couples, some of whom play with an occasional single guy or girl. Most people in the lifestyle build a relationship of sorts before swinging with others so be willing to work on it. As an older single guy I don't hook up as often as those in their 30's and 40's but I always have a good time.I have met some wonderful ladies and couples there and some of my best memories were made at The Grove. It is well worth giving a try.

My fiancee and I recently returned from our honeymoon trip to Thailand. We booked through Natalie Horton at GE. She was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable, insightful, and willing to work with us extensively on our itinerary. Personally, my favorite thing about Natalie is her friendliness and energy. It is those traits and her confidence that everything will be great that put us at ease and made us even more excited for our trip. We had limited interactions with GE as an organization. However, from the few interactions we did have the rest of the staff seemed very friendly and helpful. They also just released a travel phone app that has a bunch of neat features. For those of you unsure about using a travel consultant I highly recommend it (and specifically Natalie). The prices were extremely reasonable and we know that the services we received lead to a less expensive and better trip overall. So, give Natalie a try and tell her Rick and Jessica said hello.

Bear with me because this thing is long.. The good: They can save you a couple of thousand dollars on airfare that you cannot beat-even with shopping around. You have someone else doing all the booking so you don’t have to go to multiple websites and book everything for your trip. The bad: Everything else booked through them is overpriced. From the train tickets, to the private car drivers, everything is 2x (at least) what you can buy for yourself, quickly negating any benefit you may have saved from booking airline tickets through them. We were quoted $275 for a driver (and at this point decided we would just buy them ourselves once we got to Europe). The hotel we were staying at booked a driver for $145 (without even shopping around to see if this was a good deal or not). The problem with Global Escapes is they use a special travel-agents only website to book EVERYTHING through and do not take the time to research the prices or reputation of the companies that this website recommends. They strongly recommended that we book train tickets through them, and when we confronted them that their prices were double what we could buy them in person in Europe, they said that tickets sometime sell out and that we really should buy ahead of time. We decided to take our chances-since they had not been honest with us from the beginning. Sure enough, tickets didn’t sell out (and we traveled over Christmas/New Year’s) and the locals laughed at the concept of you not being able to walk up the day of and purchase tickets. We also had a tour booked through a non-reputable company that when we looked up the name of the company, had literally one star reviews on Trip Advisor. We asked Global Escapes why on earth they would book through such an awful company that is reputed for NOT even showing up to pick you up for your tour. This is when we found out about their one-stop-shop website and that they hadn’t even noticed what company it was through-and admitted that this particular company they would never (willingly) work with. As the client, it was frustrating to always fight with them to do their job, keep them focused on details and to keep them honest . We ended up putting in more work than we would have if we had just planned our honeymoon ourselves (and wished we had.) Another major concern we had was the lack of information provided on our final itinerary. We were in a foreign train station looking for our driver in the sea of people and asked the local tourist information folks to call the driver for us. It was a shock when we discovered our voucher didn’t have a number at all. We were stuck, hoping it all worked out (it did.) When we emailed Global Escapes about another missing number that we wanted to get the hotel to confirm that the driver was good to go the next day to the airport for our flight home, we were told that if he didn’t show up we would be refunded. Excuse me, but DUH. That doesn’t fix the stress of waiting around for a driver that if he doesn’t show up, you have to call a cab, wait, stop by the ATM because you are out of euros at this point and had prepaid for a driver that didn’t show, then hope you get to the airport in time. No number was ever provided. All in all, not impressed and we wished we had just planned our own trip for the headache and stress it would have saved us.

It was so affordable too. I would highly recommend Global Escapes for anyone planning a major vacation or honeymoon.

Tiffany & Team were able to help us plan our first cruise trip and we had a fabulous time! This was our second time using their services (first time was for our honeymoon to the Bahamas) and the assistance and experience they provided was nothing less than white glove customer service. My husband and I had been saving up for a European adventure and due to work schedule demands we knew we wanted to try to see as much as we possibly could with the limited amount of time we had. What I love the most about using Global Escapes is that they really take the time to get to know you, your travel preferences & what you really want to experience on the trip before they provide their recommendations openly and honestly. They schedule meetings/calls with you to really try to gather as much information as possible so they can provide you with various options within your budget & interest locations. For our Europe trip we were able to narrow down that a cruise would be the best option for us and the Norwegian Epic was a great first cruise line for us to experience. A family-friendly line with great customer service & good food! Global Escapes was able to do everything for us from flight reservations, hotel reservations and even picking out the perfect cabin for us aboard the ship. They helped us narrow down the excursion options we had at each port to make sure we made the most of our time and saw what we wanted. We had a very port/excursion heavy trip scheduled and wanted to make sure we took advantage of it all-- Barcelona.Napoli.Amalfi Coast. Pompeii. Civitavecchia. Rome. Vatican City. Livorno. Florence. Pisa. Cannes. Nice. Monaco. Monte Carlo. Eze. Palma de Mallorca. We will definitely be utilizing their services again and can't wait for our next adventure!

I highly recommend using Global Escapes to make your adventure unforgettable. Christine planned our trip to Italy and I am so glad that she did. We had all of our tours scheduled and paid for. She coordinated all of our transfers to and from the airport and train terminals. She gave us restaurant recommendations and sights that we could not miss. Global Escapes spent so much time with us making sure we had everything that we needed and the trip was lovely and seamless. Christine even sent us a nice note that was on our dresser when we arrived at our hotel in Rome. We will certainly use them again for our next journey, wherever that may be.

Natalie planned a seamless vacation to Costa Rica that was the perfect mix of relaxation and activity. Me and my boyfriend chose Global Escapes to help us plan a trip overseas to Europe. Rebecca was our travel agent who was more than accommodating to our needs! We traveled to Greece, Italy, and Spain. (We also slipped in a day trip to Morocco too) Getting a travel agent was the best decision we made. Rebecca was extremely knowledgeable and helpful during the planning process. She was also easy to get a hold of in case of any mishaps, which we did encounter. We ended up buying two expensive tickets while in Rome, and in the midst of the chaos, we missed our train. We called Rebecca and she was able to tell us immediately when the next train was arriving. Needless to say, we would have been staying in Rome that night (all part of the adventure if this were the case), but made it to our planned destination later that night. Would highly recommend Global Escapes to anyone traveling abroad or even one state over!

We loved working with Kimberly at Global Escapes. She fulfilled all of our needs and found the perfect resort for us. We were able to totally escape and relax at El Dorado Casitas. Letting Global Escapes arrange our trip was so nice and easy. They handled everything from the flights to transportation to and from the resort. The rooms were very nice and quite large with indoor and outdoor showers. They have a private pool off of your patio for when you want to have some quiet time, and they have the attached larger pool with bar and eating area about 30 yards away. Just beyond the pool is the ocean! I love all of the trees and foliage around the resort. There was always somewhere you could sit and talk or read a book in a hammock or just watch the ocean in one of the cabana beds. We loved our pool bartenders! They were there everyday and catered to our every need. They were able to get to know us and made our drinks just the way we liked them. There were nine excellent restaurants that had different types of cuisines. We also loved the rides that you could get around the resort on the golf carts. Its a fairly large resort, so we liked being able to get a ride when you didn't have time to walk somewhere. We will definitely go back and stay there again! Thank you Global Escapes for giving us the perfect trip!
