The customer service was above and beyond. The head chef, waiter and asst were so attentive and intuitive. Items appeared before we could ask and when they sensed we weren't happy with the selections they went to other parts of the ship to make us happy. I especially loved when they found a flourless chocolate lava cake for me. Best Cruise line ever!!!!

We have a booking for upcoming cruise. So far the interaction with Royal Caribbean Customer Service has not been a good experience. Several family members are also going and have booked individually over the last couple months (total of 16 people - 8 cabins). We were told when we reached 8 cabins, we would could be officially classified as a group and receive discounts associated with that status. It is now a different story and no "perks" or discounts are available. Having difficulty even getting dinner reservations together. The customer service agents have been very abrupt, borderline rude and their tactics are very misleading. No efforts on Royal Carribean's part to remedy the ill feelings. Very much a take it or leave it situation. Bummer since we should be happy and looking forward to an exciting family vacation.

Our stateroom staff, Sherwin was fabulous. The port of calls were Key West and Cuba - Cuba was awesome. The entertainment was typical of cruises: trivia, karaoke, piano bar, pool deck movies. I was traveling with a group of 12 and there is a common complaint - drinks and food. If you are vegan, you are in trouble... not a lot of variety. After 10:30 PM not a lot of options for anyone. Below is the review left during a portion of the Royal Caribbean survey: Getting back to the food and dining. The purpose of the cruise is food, fun and drinks on a ship. The fact that you have the ability to make "johnny rockets" quality food but don't throughout the cruise is absurd. Carnival has Guy Fieri and it's part of general dining. I get charging extra for steak and lobster (which used to be free), but not for burgers. Plus, the available options at the deli on the last day were pitiful. It was a random culmination of leftovers: chili with beans, stale taco shells, nacho cheese and pastrami. The last night on the ship I tried to make due and break stale taco shells to make chips with cheese sauce. 10:30 PM to 11:30 PM there should be more options. And who doesn't want a late night bowl of icecream, especially with the movie on deck. Oh, and now we charge for popcorn? Now that I'm typing all of this... I'll probably just recommend Carnival. They charge more for pictures and drink packages, but they dont water down drinks. I feel like I spent significantly more are Royal Caribbean and received less. I will be coping and pasting this review to Google and Yelp.

Was easy. No long lines to get onto the ship. When you get off the ship make sure you get a porter to help with your luggage. It allows you to skip the long custom line. It is well worth the tip you pay to the porter especially if you have to catch a flight. For secure parking the cost is 80 bucks for 5 days. Parking across the street was 40 bucks do not know about the security. Around the area could use a good cleaning and landscape.

Friendly staff and a good atmosphere! We couldn't find our bags for a while once we got back but several workers were prompt in helping us out. The cruise ship itself, Brilliance of the Seas, was fantastic. Our room was nice and we loved going to all of the different performances and activities.

Guest services is NOT a cornerstone of operation for Royal Caribbean. They changed our itinerary (this happened outside of their control and is not the reason for this review). However, their handling of the resulting changes reflects a complete lack of interest in serving their customers. They refunded 1/2 of the fare with the catch that it's only refunded AFTER the cruise, if you don't spend it on board. Any shore excursions or drink packages your want to buy using this credit can only be done ON-BOARD. Therefore you can't guarantee availability of the excursion. In addition, drink packages are 75% more expensive on board than buying them in advance. They want to make me spend more money for the same service WHILE they hold my credit card statement open to the tune of over $800. I'm sure so they can 1) invest it and 2) profit more from making me pay more onboard, removing any chance of using discounts for various packages. Their guest services supervisor (Julio) is demeaning and disrespectful. I would not consider Royal Caribbean as a good option when selecting a cruise partner.

BEWARE! TAKE ALL YOUR LUGGAGE WITH YOU. IF LOST YOU WILL NOT GET COMPENSATED EVEN IF ITS ROYAL CARRIBEANS FAULT! My husband and I went on a cruise on harmony of the seas on 5/19/18-5/26/18. We dropped our luggage off with the gentleman that were collecting the non-carry on luggage and never saw it again. For 7 days we had to manage with the clothes on our backs and few clothing items we were able to to purchase on board ( no underware! on period! I had to ask the spa for the paper underware because they don't even sell some in the ship!). We tried to make the best of it but we're stressed out the whole time! We had to cancel all of our excursikex because we didn't have any of the proper attire to go. We also could not attend any of the formal events or participate in several activities on board. Every day we were follwing up with guest managers who were shocked themselves that our luggage was still missing. They informed is that unfortunately Royal Caribbean has no tracking process for missing luggage and that they even agree that one is needed. We filed the claim paperwork on board on 5/21/18. and were instructed to itemize all of our items so we could get reimbursed. We submitted this paperwork on board on 5/23/18 and were informed that it along with the claims paperwork had been submitted to the claims department. We followed up with the claims department on 5/29/18 after disembarking on 5/26/18 and we're informed that the paperwork had not even been processed until that day 5/29/18. Fast forward to now and we still don't have our luggage and have been informed that royal carribean can only pay us 300 dollars towards the luggage they lost and 20 percent off the next cruise! The items in our luggage were over 2000 dollars and the cruise itself was over 2000. So for about 4000 down the drain and 7 days of emotinal turmoil the best the world class cruise has to offer is 300 dollars. My husband and I will be seeking legal consuel as we are still waiting to hear from "supervisors" that every time we call are in meetings and then gone for the day. It is just not fair and unjust. All I wanted to do was relax and enjoy my birthday and this is what I got in return. I don't want anyone else to go through what my husband and I went through!

5 day cruise review; Dining , food and shop stewards 5 star. The festivities are scarce . I am a Activity Director and they need to step it up. The karaoke was quite short and the woman kept telling us she skipped her 15 min break. So if this is your biggest crowd why wouldn't you let it last? Grant you, I don't sing but come on it's free entertainment. The comedian was humorous but the adult show is at 11pm and nothing going on to keep you awake until then. So you either eat, sleep, lay by pool or gambling?all self directed activities. Come on guys let's entertain people that's what a cruise is for. Funny thing, I had someone go on the weekend cruise right after me and said the same exact thing.

Security guards paid NO attention as we put our bags through the scanner. It was so bad that the little tray with my valuables almost fell off the far end of the belt. Luckily I caught it so my phone and watch wern't broken. Once through security we got an incompetent check in clerk who took 1/2 hour to check us in for our cruise. Clerk's on either side of us were doing it in 5 minutes/family.

DO NOT BOOK. THEY LIE AND WILL NOT FULFILL PROMISES. We booked a large group for a wedding, and were re-booked on different cruises twice with no compensation for our associated costs with changing dates. We were told we could get a full refund for each guest. Each and every single guest in the group had to call and fight to get this refund, and everyone person was told that the details would be attached to the group so that the next person would not have to fight to receive a full refund. This was not the case. After each person was assured on an individual basis they were being processed a full refund, they were only issued HALF their available refund. Royal Caribbean does not honor what they promise, and they do not offer any form of care of support towards their guest. Be ready to be pushed around and taken advantage of, and fight to get any money you are entitled.

Overall it was an exquisite experience from start to finish.From the minute we boarded the ship, till the time we were back on shore in Fort Lauderdale, the staff was wonderful, patient and extremely helpful.Everything from Soup To Nuts and everything in between was wonderful. The decor the food,all accommodations even down to the choices of wine and beverages, was simply wonderful.We felt at home even though we were hundreds of miles away from where we came from.Every member of the staff from the captain down to the busboy, let us know that we were theit priority and they went out of their way to make us feel at home. I read in some of the reviews that some said the ship was a little on the old side. but I say that in my estimation,this is one of the best cruise lines that I have ever been on it even though this was my first real cruise vacation. I read and researched extensively about other ships and cruise lines but to me this one is second to none .

Very inviting and bright terminal that makes going on the cruise a very enjoyable. There are people outside the terminal looking to get tips for carrying your bags. If you are going to carry your own bag, you have to tell them to not touch it or else they will by default and then ask you to fork over money.

One of the easier ports to get in and out of, depending on where you've been of course. Sometimes US immigration and customs can take a while, but the terminal has always been efficient when getting folks on and off the ship.

Not a very restful trip for my first cruise. Alarm sounds through the PA system two nights of the five day cruise. Food was not the best. Doesn't seem like the can properly cook a steak. Medium was well done and medium rare was rare. My kids were in a room on the third floor and they could hear the music from the clubs until they closed. Authorizations ran nightly and once the charges were posted, the authorizations were still pending. Games were fun, but not family oriented. Gratuity tacked on per each guest in the room daily. Hubert, our room attendant was definitely the best of the crew staff! Definitely made things better with his towel animals and he knew all of our names by day two. Not a great experience for my first trip out of the country.

Departure was not painfully slow however a large amount of time was spent waiting outside and in Florida that can be dangerous to some folks. The traffic in the area is totally screwed and was made twice as bad by Royal unexpectedly and without any public announcement switched their two ships between terminal 3 and 6 causing even more traffic confusion than normal.

They waited under 72 hours to inform me that one of only two land days would be replaced with a sailing day despite the fact the hurricane happened a month ago. Their customer service is copy and paste. They will only remind you that they can change the route and keep their money. Not even excited to go at this point. Will not be using Royal again.

Royal Caribbean what an awesome place I cruised on the brilliance of the seas ship little over a thousand feet long and a little over a hundred feet wide it was awesome the staff was awesome the wait staff was actually great sense of humor said I got the same wait staff every single day of the week they were assigned to my table new mylikes new my dislikes this ship took such great personal care of my family the entire lot time we was there I couldn't speak more fondly of these peoplemy cabin was cleaned daily sometimes twice daily they turn down my sheets at night and they made my bed in the morning I never was wanting for anything the entire time that I was on this cruise ship it was the most awesome experience I have ever experienced in my life it was also my first cruise experience and an experience that makes me want to go back to the cruise industry over and over for my future vacations and Royal Caribbean will most likely get my business they won me over in a major way. thank you Royal Caribbean and thank you Brian so the seas for such an awesome vacation experience that I will never forget...

I was in the process of finalizing booking my cruise and when I selected the pay option the website froze. I tried again and it froze again. It was Sunday evening and I had to get up for work at 5:00 am so I decided to quit and try again the next day. When I did I noticed that cruise price had jumped $240. I had received an email from RC Senior Customer care rep.asking if I needed any assistance with my cruise. I replied that same day and asked if they could honor the price that I was in the process of booking. She replied I took to long to inform them of the situation and was more or less to bad so sad was her attitude. I replied I sent them an email with 24 hrs and mentioned I work 12 hrs straight as a nurse in surgery and did so at my earliest convenience. I asked if she could speak to a manger. She said she would however I don't believe much effort was taken. The rep. never replied to my emails, I had to call to get service. Norwegian Cruise and Disney has the best customer service. My first cruise with Royal Caribbean.

This complaint is not on the port of Tampa but on the Brilliance of the seas that left from Tampa on Thanksgiving, 11/23/17. My husband got bit by beds bugs on the first night in our suite 1578. We raised concerns with our stateroom attendant and guest services. They said they sent someone to our room (while we were on an excursion) and claim they found nothing. My husband continued to get bites and we continued to complain. Once we returned home he had to go to the doctor for a antibiotic and cream due to a severe allergic reaction to the bites . I called customer service sw Jio who claimed she will pull the ships records and call me 3-5 business days. We are at day 5 and still no call from anyone at Royal Caribbean . We cruise alot and have never had such bad customer service and just brushed off. We had already booked next year's cruise now I think we might have to cancel. I always loved Royal but this has left us with a bad taste. Very disappointed customer

We enjoy Royaly Caribbean cruises. Have been on several other companies cruises which were great as well but we still prefer this Cruise Line. The cruise terminal here is fairly new. We were able to get through without any problem and board the ship. The lines move rather quickly and efficiently

The embarkation process is fast and efficient. Staff were friendly. We've sailed with Brilliance of the Seas. The ship is stunning! Not too massive, but definately big, in their mid-class ships. Food onboard was EXCELLENT. Our only "complaint" is that our 4 nights were way too short as we were not ready to leave our Brilliance experience. From booking to disembarkation. It comes highly recommended. We booked a balcony cabin. It was comfortable and had everything we needed (including breathtaking sunrises and sunsets

Love this restaurant! It is super fun and delicious! There are a lot of cool food and drink options and it is located in a very fun part of the city where there are a lot of cute little boutique shops! It is pretty chilly inside the restaurant, which I wasn't too comfortable with, but the food and service made up for it. Definitely loved the tropical/vacation feel. Prices are reasonable. Great place for brunch or day date!

We used this terminal in early April 2017 to begin our cruise to Grand Cayman and Cozumel. In general, this terminal is laid out very well and moves people along efficiently to clear all the necessary security checks before boarding the ship. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because the signage at the entrance is a bit lacking. Not real clear where to start the whole process. Otherwise, as positive an experience as can be something which involves the TSA.

Long time traveler fist time complainer!! I just got back from a 4 day cruise with Royal Caribbean cruise lines on the ship empress of the sea ! Upon arriving at the port we are greater by a crew that wants to take our luggage & put it on the ship for us! We have our luggage to Royal Caribbean employees Who got 90% of our luggage on board. I had a bag with all my shoes for the cruise in it. That bag never made it the ship. I went to guess services to discuss this iss and was told I had to wait till 8p. 8p is when they finished delivering luggage. I went back after 8p was greated by a ride guess services personnel. No help was offered about my bag. I was told to contact the port when I got back to look for my bag. This kinda of service continues throughout the cruise. My group had purchased the premium drink package so drinks were at no charge beyond that. Although tips are expected & we understood. Lines were long & the bar tenders were rude & smug. 20mins to get a drink! Very little music was played on board! I will have to say that the waiters we had for a set down dinner were great! The coffee shop girls were outstanding! I would not recommend this cruise line to anyone! Staff is rude & basically service is not what they're concerned with. If I could give a -5 stars I would.

Went on a 4-day cruise to Cozumel and it was my first cruise. It was an amazing time- lots of friendly staff, lots of fun activities, and great food! Our waiters were the greatest and we had so much fun getting to know them. Everything was very clean and always plenty to do. I especially appreciated the serve-yourself soft serve machine (this was the only place I had to wait in line). Everything was timely and our room was always taken care of for us whenever we came back between an activity or meal. We were on brilliance of the seas. The staff was so friendly and we loved Royal Caribbean!

This was my FIRST cruise so I was hoping to have a memorable experience. We had a GREAT cabin attendant, and just loved him (Wayan) but other than that the cruise was less than memorable. The staff at guest services, when asked how to pick up the packages we purchased in Cozumel looked at me as if I had 3 heads. Then one guy at guest services said he ONLY was responsible for booking excursions and sent us back to the end of the line to get that simple question answered. Additionally, at the end of the cruise, about 2 days AFTER the cruise had ended, about 400.00 of charges appeared in my bank! I was shocked and when I inquired about what they are, they said that they are likely "holds". I am not sure why there were holds, no one mentioned them and like I said they appeared after the cruise was over. The cruise line said that they should disappear after 72 hours after the cruise ended. It is WELL over 72 hours and the charges are still there. My colleague went on Norwegian and had no problems. This may have been my FIRST cruise but it DEFINITELY will be my last on Royal Caribbean, do not use them, EVER.

Please do NOT use Royal Carribean cruise line as there are other cruise lines who actually CARE about their customers and RC does NOT. Royal Carribean not only lacks customer service skills, their employees are rude and arrogant. When we called back to request a supervisor, we were connected to a completely inept person named Amanda, then forwarded to a completely NOT helpful "supervisor" named Lucy who also did not own and fix the inaccurate facts stated to us by yet another employee. Every person we spoke with did NOT own the problem and were inefficient and unfair in their dealings with us. We will NEVER use this cruise line again and canceled a cruise we had already planned. THAT is how very horribly we were treated by the very inattentive and inept staff.

Recently took a cruise to Key West and Havana, Cuba. The first was just as we remembered it. The second was interesting, to say the least. Take a beautiful place full of classic Spanish architecture and let it decay in a communist regime... That's Havana today. The classic American cars look great, even those with Russian/Soviet motors...

If your a citizen born in cuba, PLEASE read this. My mom is 83 years old and came from Cuba in the 1940’s. She wanted to see Cuba since she has never been back. I thought it would be a great gift for Christmas 2017. Before booking I call RC and asked what documentation we would need. I was told just a US Passport and a $75.00 visa we get From RC. Perfect, I booked the cruise for my mom, my husband and myself. I received my edocuments 30 days prior to the cruise. I now find out my mom needs a special visa HE-11. I call RC, the person I spoke with knows nothing of this and puts me on hold to speck with her supervisor. She tells me I need this visa which takes 90 days to get. I ask if we can board the ship and not get off in Cuba, she had to call the supervisor again. She returns and tells me to call the Cuban Embassy. WOW!!! I thought maybe she is new an inexperienced so I call right back. I ask this person if they are familiar with documentation for Cuba. I told him mom was born there and I now need a HE-11 visa. He ask me if she has a US Passport, that’s ALL she needs. WOW!! After I read what the edocuments said, he then helped me by giving me 3 numbers to travel agents. I decided to go to a local agency that deals with flights to Cuba. The visa is $220.00 which I am willing to pay so my mom can see Cuba. She was honest and told my it will take 45 to 50 days. I will NOT have it in time. Next day I call RC and ask to speak to a supervisor. Long story short this person was cold, unhelpful and blamed me for not having the visa which I had plenty of time to get if I had known. I asked him to show me where it informs you about any addition visa you may need on the RC website. How can I obtain something I know nothing about. He didn’t know. I call back hoping NOT to speak to this idiot and ask for a supervisor. This lady was at least friendly but couldn’t help me in any way and can not even offer me info about cancellation policy without me asking. She showed me where this information was located on RC site. hidden... In a place you will never think to look in stead of being in the destination to Cuba information so you can know what to expect. Very disappointed because RC was the very first cruise I took in 2007. We take a cruise yearly with different cruise lines and NEVER had any problems. This WOULD NOT happen on a Disney cruise but you get what you pay for. I was excited about cruising with RC. THE INFO YOU NEED TO KNOW IS... If you were born in Cuba and came before 1971, you need a HE-11 which takes up to 90 days. See a travel agent. If you came after 1971, you need a Cuban passport which is $350.00.They dont tell you this hoping to keep all your money.
