It was a great experiencing. But be careful, there are pop up charges. For example, they tax all drinks on the day you leave and the day you arrive. Nothing you can do about it and they don't tell you ahead of time. Lots of things to do onboard. But it was nice, I'd do it again.

First and Last NCL cruise. On Getaway. I don’t ever want to hear that Norwegian is better than Carnival. I haven’t even got off this ship yet and I’m writing this review. The worst service we have ever and I will repeat, EVER had. The staff seem over worked and irritated to help with anything. That signals to me that there is likely poor treatment by NCL toward the staff. I knew this cruise was going to be bad when we called to make reservations and had to wait on hold for over an HOUR just to make changes. The phone customer service crew were rude and aloof. Once aboard it was clear the attitude would be the same. Every time we try to book a show or lock in tickets the box office is closed. Internet is way over priced and doesn’t work well. Don’t waste your time at Taste and Savor for dining... here the entry level people are working and at best it is literally a train wreck. Wrong food, forgetting things and requests. One night they told us to go up one deck to Tropicana as there was no wait with the same menu. We waited an additional 45 mins just to eat. The Tropicana staff are WAY nicer and seem more experienced. We have heard constant complaints aboard this ship about bad service and rude staff. Today at breakfast a supervisor lashed out and verbally scolded a breakfast server at O’Sheehans. She was very mean and this shouldn’t have been done in public. They are constantly up selling and charging for everything. Many of the additional restaurants charge for simple things like sparking water or espresso. We have the dining package and drink package. They constantly hassle for casino tickets and raffles. We had far more food options on Carnival and the food was not inferior to NCL. The NCL menus are redundant and often not of great quality. People running the water slides and amenities on the top deck are absolutely rude and seem bothered with any questions you have. They just seem miserable working for this ship. Carnival was so nice! They treated us well and always made us feel happy and cheery. I hate this cruise line and can’t wait to get off this boat. #getaway #getawayfromncl #horrible #disappointed

Extraordinary cruise on the Norwegian Escape from New York City to Bermuda. The ship is beautiful, with so many things to do. Entertainment was top notch and plentiful. I stayed in the Haven and the service couldn't have been better. It was so nice to enjoy the restaurants, bars and entertainment of the larger ship and then be able to slip back into the quiet, relaxing confines of the Haven.

I can't really compare it to other cruise lines, because I've only ever taken Norwegian cruises, but I've been on 2 so far and the quality and comfort had been the same. We loved celebrating our anniversary with them (twice, 4 years apart). They made it memorable! The restaurant staff is excellent. We loved our steward. Every time we left the room he would tidy up and leave cute folded towel animals on our bed (and this has been the case both times). We felt like we had our own personal butler. But really all the staff was amazing. The entertainment was great too. They had something planned for all ages. We really enjoyed free cruising and hope to do it again soon.

Norwegian is great, everything...except boarding/demarcation which is kind of a cluster, which most are from what I have experienced. Lots of charges for extras like WiFi/ movies, go-carts, bowling and other things. Other than that, it was really nice, staff exceptionally nice and always had a smile!

14-day cruise on the NORWEGIAN ESCAPE with my wife and two kids. It was a great trip, with a great crew. We were in a mini-suite, which you need if there's 4 in the room. If you have a chance - go. Didn't think I'd like the "Freestyle" cruising, losing a set time and place for dinner, but it really works.

We did a 5 day cruise on the Norwegian Sky, just got back 3 days ago. It was a total blast! About 70% of the staff on the ship were from the Philippines. They're nice, inviting, prompt and very helpful! After getting on the ship, we headed to the bar and met Ron the bartender, he made us awesome drinks to welcome us aboard. Then we met Joseph L. who booked our special dinner at Cagney's. Joseph was a good tour guide for us cuz that's our first cruise. He told us about the various amenities and fun things to do during the cruise. Later the first night, we headed for our special dinner at Cagney's and met Herejean our server. She was the sweetest, attentive, and her recommendations for our meal were spot on! Oh yessss it's the most scrumptious foods I ever had hands down! So much so that we decided to eat our second special meal at Cagney's on our last night of the cruise. In spite of the fact that she had probably served more than 100 other guests between our visits, she remembered us, as well as our preferred drinks! And if you like to drink the best mojitos go to Mojito bar and ask for Chris or Beverly and try a ginger mojito or a classic. I must say, the cruise ended up being even more fun than we had anticipated. Both of us enjoyed it thoroughly, as did another couple who cruised with us (also one of their first cruise). We met several friendly couples on the cruise, and are already planning our next cruise with them. So what are you waiting for??? Start cruising with Norwegian!!!

I'm torn on this one really. The ship is beautiful the staff are absolutely fantastic and the food and shows were world class. However smoking on the casino deck is gross and the amount of drunk guest was a huge put off! My children had alcohol spilt on them while in the lift more than once. I don't feel it was a family ship for this reason more of a booze cruise unfortunately! Maybe we got what we paid for!!

First time on a cruise and this was awesome! It was a great price for an all inclusive trip to Cuba where we spent 2 days. And we also got to spend a day on their private ISA land in the Bahamas. The rooms were older but clean. The hospitality was great! And the food was good too! They mostly has Buffett style food, but there was always a variety.

Norwegian took great care of us. The staff (usually) made us feel so welcome. Housekeeping was excellent, the variety and availability of entertainment were incredible, and a lot of thought was clearly put into meeting the tastes of a broad swath of potential clientele. The staff was knowledgeable and sensitive to food restrictions, guests were kept well appraised of the options available to them, and pricing was clearly set to satisfy a scale of affordability, keeping lots of people happy.

We had a great first cruise experience, but were very disappointed to not be able to visit Great Stirrup Cay due to rough seas as we only had two ports of call. Seems there would be a backup plan other than to shuttle guests via tenders, as this apparently happens often. The day at sea instead was fun and staff did a great job entertaining and taking care of the guests. The service, from check in to disembarking, was impeccable and every crew member was extremely friendly. Would definitely recommend Norwegian, and look forward to booking our next adventure!

My wife and I booked our second cruise with Norwegian, but due to some fine print, ended up looking a few hundred in credits due to the timing of the reservation. Seems like a scam, I'll deal with it in person once on board... thus the 4 stars, not 5.

Very nice overall. If you're into this sort of thing, I would say on par with Royal, not quite as nice and certainly not as stuffy. A clear step up from Carnival, which we all know is the "party" line. Lots of nice perks if you pay attention. I would recommend.

Took a 7 night cruise out of Miami and had a good time. Food was good, entertainment was very good, and the ship was very nice. Access to pool and hot tub areas on nice days was difficult, and although the service was good, it was never very personal. Overall it was a very good value since our 2 kids sailed free, and was a fun vacation.

Did not witness any inappropriate behaviors as seen openly on other cruise line. The cruise director was pleasant and always assessable! The panoramic view from promenade deck of Carnival Glory having one final cup of coffee, a few quiet moments. Realising the scent of the salty ocean breeze has diminished and is replaced with the heavy, warm and humid Miami morning reality. Leaving the five-star floating hotel isn't easy. Separation anxiety builds even after my feet walk upon dry land again. I can hardly wait to be back home again. Wondering which ship that will be on. Eleven months isn't too long of a wait.

Second time taking a cruise. This one was for my husband's birthday. We took the "all you can booze" cruise to the Bahamas. You HAVE TO BUY water since it's a free for all on the alcohol! And you can bet that you PAY! for water! I have to take medicine 2 times a day, minimum 8oz of water with each dose. They charge $70 for a 6 pack of bottles of water! And we're not talking Figi, Dasani, or Perrier. We're talking about generic bottled water. And the water that comes from the sink is not drinkable. Come on, that is absurd! Soda, juice, tea, sure, charge through the nose. But water is necessary to survive!

Watch out for the spas, on their boats. They lead people to believe they are getting something for free after treatment only to find out that 125 massage is now 165 dollar's. They present things to you as it's part of the expensive price of the service. Very deceptive practice.

Bought a few items to go & the food was good as was the service..but be prepaired to get taxed on every food container..Crazy..you get mostly rice a thin steak and small portion of black beans..this type of food is cheap to make ..quite profitable for them to add extra cost.it is minimal but when you have 5 containers it adds up. I will eat in ..but next time I will be bringing my own containers.

Awful! Our first cruise. No one took anytime to explain what was go g on. One night I slipped and fell on the deck. A steward just walked by looked at me and me and kept going. My husband and a kind stranger helped me up. The food was so-so It was just a terrible experience.

We had a good time on our last cruise to Cuba. Of course, much of the fun was because we traveled with another couple and a family member. The Garden Cafe has lots of offerings and many of the are good. The best bet is one of the two white table cloth restaurants. They're good and there's good wait staff.

I've been cruising with NCL since 2009 and always had a great time. Sadly, they seem to be cutting corners. This was my first time on the Escape. The beverages are watered down (juices, coffee, milk, etc.). The service in the main dining rooms remain first rate but they are no longer as proactive in maintaining sanitary conditions in the buffet where you were once regularly greeted at every entrance by a person with a spray bottle of hand cleaner, it's now occasional.

Quick loading onto the ship. A staff that really cares and takes care of you, making your cruise the best it can be. The shows on the Norwegian Escape are really good, but be aware that the Brat Pack is basically a strip tease at the beginning (unexpectedly) and the current lead (the Ferris, Ducky, brain guy) doesn't fit the character and was a sweaty mess, spitting on people as he sang. The rest of the cast was good, especially the two outcasts and the band. If you see one show, make it After Midnight.

This is our cruise line of choice. My family and I have been truly on this line for quite some time since I was in junior high, and it has only gotten better. The service on this pass Cruise was by far the best. It was wonderful to see so many different nationalities, including some that we are familiar with. As a West Indian it was awesome to be able to connect and relate to some of the employees in a language of my own. Although, there was an issue with this past cruising and the reservations that went into it. After getting on the ship the associates did their best to accommodate us and made sure that any bad experience had before getting on the boat was quickly forgotten. not only did they accommodate us for the misplace reservation, they also made sure that it was nothing less than the best experience. I believe the NCL offers The Best of Both Worlds. The party from Carnival, and the luxury of celebrity. Although the DJ on this boat was not the best, other associates made up for it. Even some of the Filipino Associates were able to connect with my West Indian culture with different sayings and knowledge about my culture which made the experience even more special! A special shout-out to Carlos, Pamela, & Leanora in the Haven. They made sure that we had a lot of fun in our luxurious separate experience on the ship. Apple did an amazing job planning the last minute Val renewal service for my parents and Nimfa what's the best concierge attendant and helps me with all of my special planning for this Cruise. Thanks to them and many many more!

A typical cruise ship port terminal. Expect up to an hour wait to process through. Very clean and well organized. A very simple boarding process. Make sure you have all your documents and forms of identification ready.

Poor communication and average service all around. Beverage package, gambling and sales pitching future cruises were noticeably their number 1 priority. Cruise staff seemed less relaxed and more uptight as if they are forcibly asked to over emphasize that they are happy to be of service. Food lacked flavor most if the times especially for someone with a simple palette. I would suggest that the add a bit more carribean or island flavors/ selections to their dishes being that they are sailing to Latin or Caribbean islands. Shows were organized well and simple to attend. The choreography was simple and ship quality, not amateur dance level, but definitely Broadway style or Cirque Du Soleil by far. I am booking with Celebrity next because it was between Norwegians and Celebrity this time and I feel I made the wrong choice. The food quality on celebrity apparently is way better as well as the overall ship experience. This was consistent based on what others were stating on Norwegians. Choose well future travelers. Book within your means first and then book based on the food, itinerary and selection of activities next. Hope this helps

I love norwegian!! I had an excellent cruise, with my very own cruise concierge - I felt very fancy. I mostly napped and drank all day, which are some of my favourite past times, and it was also good for my wallet, as I appreciate art, so I only went to one auction and only bought 2 paintings. Great service all around.

Now, it's my 10th cruise with NCL.so I like their ships, I like their food, I obviously like their itinerary. The escape and the breakaway are great ships , the rope course and the waterslides on both are really great.the food at the buffet is so-so but the menu in the dining rooms is quite good. The itinerary are also quite interesting

Norwegian Sky, an old cruise ship. Cabins are pretty small. If you are used to some of the newer ships than sky may not be for you. Activities are very limited. You really have to know how to relax and rest. You best planned to enjoy excursion ashore. Guest service needs alot of improvements starting from the guest service desk down to the restaurants. At the restaurant it almost felt like I was begging for service. At the desk they need training. Customer satisfaction does not seem to be first priority....that's all I can say for now

This was my first cruise experience and I loved it! The ship is incredibly clean and well maintained and the staff made the stay worth every penny! There was always so many activities available that there was never a dull moment. Will definitely be booking with them again!

Fast, organized but why a escalator with everyone's luggage???? Seems like a better option should have been used. Many people struggling and caused a delay. People with multiple bags had to struggle. Such a large terminal should have a better option.

My family and I took an international cruise on the norwegian getaway overall the the restaurant situation is pretty good. The pool situation was really confusing and the kids pool was the only area for teens to go in water. I wouldn't recommend Norwegian Cruise Line clubs what so ever I would try something else for a first time cruiser

OMG. A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE... I cried the entire 2nd day.... PLEASE DONT BOOK WITH THEM... Room was filthy..Filthy.. Disgusting.... and when i called customer service they didn't acknowledge the problem but pointed out what i could have DONE different... although i didn't find them..I AM POSITIVE THERE WERE BED BUGS

Got to the terminal at 12:30. Dropped the luggage. Walked to the check in and was on the ship within 15 minutes. Surprisingly fast. No hassle's.

Buffet line food was cold, when it should've been hot. Mixed drinks didn't seem to have a lot of liquor in them, a few I had were stiff, but for all the drinking we did no one got drunk. Loved the dining rooms, but they were pretty slow, took about an hour & a half to eat dinner. Food was VERY GOOD. I'd give the dining room 4+stars. It was great to go to dinner in my beach attire, instead of getting dressed up.

The ship was the getaway. It was very nice, the staff was nice and helpful except when the lead ship guys came through the dining area they seemed detached from the guest, not making eye contact or even smiling and saying hello when greeted by me... the food wasn't too bad either. The Tropicana restaurant was very nice and elegant. The wait staff were great and respectful. The casino was fun but street the 3rd day made the whole floor smell like smoke because you can smoke while u gamble. Our housekeeping guy was awesome, he was helpful and polite too. Only issue we had from day 1 was our toilet never flushed right we always had to ask for someone to fix it even if the guys just went pee...talk about annoying. I enjoyed the fact that they had a game room and library so you could get away from the noise without being in your room. The ports weren't really that fun but we did not go on any excursions. The weather was in our favor too. Made for a great 1st cruise. 7 days! I will probably go again.

Very good cruise line, especially for families The only thing I didn't like was that their were way too many teenagers doing there thing w/No supervision. Many times they were out of control and rude! If teens are unruly and disruptive, I think ship staff should intervene!

I have been on cruises out of the Port of Miami and Port Canaveral and I very very much prefer Port Canaveral for cruises. Miami takes way longer and is less organized compared to Port Canaveral.

Great cruise line. The cruise director Travis was awesome. The ship was great with plenty to keep you busy. It has lots of entertainment. They even had water slides on the ship! We didn't have kids with us but they had plenty of activities for them too! The food was great too. I have celiac and they were great working with my meals.

I was on the Norwegian sky and had a fun time. The ship is a bit smaller compared to other ships from what I understand. I took this cruise shortly after hurricane Matthews hit the Bahamas so our ship took a detour and only visited key West and Nassau which was a little disappointing but was still fun. The open bars are amazing. I only regret not drinking more!

We vacationed on the bliss over New year's to the Eastern Caribbean. The ship is new and luxurious. The staff for the most part was amazing along with the food/drinks and entertainment. I only gave three stars because of a couple of issues. First the reservation process for restaraunts and entertainment was poorly arranged. Upon checking in the were sent to multiple spots to reserve, before being sent to other spots because their directions were wrong. Unfortunately we did not get all the reservations we we're hoping for. Additionally the internet package that was rather expensive was very poor. The connection would often get lost and it was really a pain to reconnect. Lastly, I felt like we were constantly being charged for every little thing. Even though we got the drink package, a number of drinks were extra. Even though we got specialty dinning, our kids were still charged. Everyday we were charged 15 dollars per person for service charges. I would have much rather paid a fee upfront. Overall the cruise was not terrible, but if we ever cruise again we will probably go with another company.

NCL Escape is a beautiful ship with many friendly staff who adore children. Boarding is a complete mess but once you're on the ship, it's smooth sailing all the way. From housekeeping to barkeeps to the best band on any ship, "The Island Notes", they will make you and your child feel like family. I love them all and can't wait to book the next cruise.

Our family went on a first cruise with NCL (Norwegian Escape) and is extremely happy with the cruise. The ship is well maintained and the crew is very friendly. The room stewards constantly clean up the hallway and staterooms everyday. The food is amazing and the itinerary was apt. Highly recommended.
