We have seen several patient's in our office but have decided to discontinue due to payment. Every time I inquire each claim, I'm placed on hold for over 30 mins, transferred then ALWAYS hung up on! The worst part about this is, it takes away from the patient, not just our office. WORST INSURANCE!!!!

This company have customer service representatives from other Countries and they are not well trained or have any idea of the services they are rendering... your call just gets transferred and transferred...without any resolution. Assist Card is a disaster. They never paid my medical bills and now the clinic is charging me directly. QUE NO LE PASE A USTED(SEGUROS DE VIAJE)... Hola mundo, un comentario acerca de los seguros de viaje para familiares o turistas que los visitan. Esta es la situación, les cuento para que no les pase y para que eviten problemas en el momento de necesitar una urgencia médica. Esto sucede en Canadá, porque los hospitales en Canadá no tienen contratos con compañías de seguros internacionales, ejemplo AssistCard o los seguros de viajes de las tarjetas de crédito. Si se enferma, y tiene que ir a un hospital por urgencias, usted debe hacer un depósito de CAD$800 solo para que lo atiendan en la urgencia, AssistCard o el seguro si le pagan pero usted debe hacer una reclamación, la cual se demora por lo menos un mes. Los CAD$800 no incluyen el valor del especialista ni procedimientos, así que, dependiendo lo que le hagan, la cuenta no le sale menos de CAD$2000 Si tienen que hospitalizarlo, el deposito es de CAD$6900, o algo así como CAD$2300 por noche, mínimo 3 noches sin contar lo que valen los médicos etc Como quien dice, estos seguros si funcionan pero usted debe pagar primero. La solución para esto es comprar un seguro local, es decir, con un corredor de seguros canadiense, por experiencia, el valor es el mismo, la diferencia es que como ese seguro es canadiense, estos seguros si se comunican con el hospital y crean un factura que la paga el seguro y no el usuario. El procedimiento es llamar a la compañía de seguros antes de ir al hospital para que ellos se comuniquen con el hospital y usted no tenga que sacar los CAD$2000. El prestador me inicio un reclamo a mi persona por el no pago de Assicard. Assiscard recien le pago al prestador en el 2019. Caso F7048AF. Recomiendo no contratar este seguro de viajes.

My biggest request is Don't buy Travel insurance from Assist Card because they will not pay your medical bill and delay in customer supports , Delay in claims processing. They will not respond for your call, Voicemail and email too. Because of their worst performance healthcare team will bill policy holder for medical bill which means there is no use of Assist card of Travel insurance. I never see any positive feedback from any one about Assist card. Please think before proceed.
