Horrible experience. I made reservation with them but I never received any confirmation emails. I decided to cancel because I couldn't wait any longer and called them. They said the tickets were already issued and I'm not allowed to cancel. I was calling and talking with them many times until then to see the status of tickets because it was still not issued according to my account. I asked them full refund but they said it's not possible. Now I'm going to stop the payment through a credit card company. I can't waste $3200 like this. Stay away from these Indians.

So I made a mistake when I made my initial booking (if you book online and get everything right you'll be fine), and its when I tried to make a change that I ran into the headaches that everyone else who hates this service had. A guy named Michael first told me it would be $200 per ticket to change the return flight dates. Then he says, wait, lets see what I can do, and when he comes back on the line, he very slickly tells me he is saving me $300 and rattles off some details, sends me an email. Now the email said a charge of $900. My tickets were $900 so I'm assuming that this is the cost of the tickets each, as he seems to be saying every time I ask. Nope! The $900 is the agent fee for them to make the change IN ADDITION to the $900 per ticket I am paying. So, ultimately, I'm eating the cost because it was my mistake in the first place, but he could have been more honest and up front instead of trying to slide it past me and get my agreement without my understanding. Oh and did I mention he got me to write a nice review so he'd get some $$ from management? Well, reviews can be changed, don't you know... Not Cool, man, not cool.

I booked my flight and cancelled within an hour because my girlfriend decided to change her mind in the location. Elsa my representative was very helpful in explaining the process on how the refund work since no actual ticket was issued, and even though there were 3 temporary charges to my credit card instead of 2. She assured me that all charges would be refunded within 3-4 business days. Thus far I was very happy with the customer service, I will have my girlfriend leave another feedback once we receive the full refund. Follow up on (got my full refund back without a problem!)

Worst costumer service I ever had to deal with. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY One of my flight was changed, and my connections did not match anymore. I have been calling for a week, and my problem still hasn't been fixed. They keep telling me that will call me within 24hours, and obviously don't. Really really annoyed.

Me and my Friend bought a tickets from them. We get to the airport the counter tells us that they can't find our names because faregeek canceled our tickets. I was with faregeek on the phone for 3 hours they gave me so many different stupid dumb fake reasons why our tickets were canceled. THEY NEVER CALLED ME OR EMAILED ME THAT OUR TICKETS WERE CANCELED. When I called my bank they said that they tried to get your money but we declined the card BECAUSE THIS STUPID STUPID WEBSITE WAS FAKEEEEEEEEE. I wish there was a way I can like sue them and put them to jail because I lost my flight because of this stupid website + I had an emergency wich I was suppose to get to my country right away. Thought I booked through Cheapflights only to find out after I paid I had been transfered to Faregeek. Once the confirmation came through I realised they hadn't taken my passport details or asked about luggage which most airlines do. So I looked and noticed it was now booked through faregeek and looked them up online. To my horror I saw all the seriously disturbing reviews. I called my bank and asked if they had taken my money out and I was told yes. So I then called faregeek and spoke to someone with a bad attitude asking where my e-tickets are. He said in 24 hours I'd have them. 24 hours later I didn't have them so another call to faregeek and oddly as soon as I asked where my tickets were he emailed them too me. I checked them over while on the phone and for some reason it also mentioned a hotel room booked and confirmed for 84 nights and a flight from Birmingham neither of which I asked for. But calling the bank once more the only payment taken was the one I originally agreed too. Checking online with the airline the tickets were real and I was booked in. So all appears to be good so far. However having read all the reviews on many sites I now have 9 days before my flight- are they going to cancel my booking and then ask for more money or refuse a refund. I live in fear. So tomorrow I'll be making a call to the airline and tell them that under no circumstances are they to accept a cancellation for my tickets. Fingers crossed

Basically I tried to book a flight about a month ago. To book a flight you need to put down your card info which i did , i later then confirm my flight and the next pages said that i should be getting the confirmation email with in a couple of minute. to this day i still havnt received any confirmation email. I also check me visa statement and it showed that it didn't go thru. I ended up booking with flight hub in stead. So when I called faregeek to try and get my money back they refused. I also ask to speak to the manager , the employee Mr walker was giving me the run arounds. They ended up hanging up on me, so I called back again and left a message still havnt heard from them.

They should close their company or better improve their services.I booked ticket with them and one day before my flight they called me, said its cancelled and very casually they said you can book your ticket with other airlines , When I asked for refund they said we can't do that but you can you it as your future credit. Same day I spent like $900 more to book my ticket with other airlines. Now I am using my future credit they are again giving me hard time.

I have to say I as totally shocked at how Michael Ramsay helped solve my holiday travel dilemma! I actually got to speak to a real person, and wasn't passed around from robot to robot! He had my best interests in mind, kept me calm, and helped me not only change my original one- way flight, but upgrade the round trip with new dates that I needed. Offering advice on timing and how to save money! He offered an additional discount for $150 too, it's was a holiday miracle! I doubt I would ever get this kind of service directly through an airline! DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM....you're been WARNED... Let me tell what they do, they'll show a fare, you put the info and trey to reserve it, while the computer is processing , they end up changing your return flight, and they'll give that fare price with a 20hr layover somehow....I'm not sure if this is legal, but that's what they do...when you call them and try to change the return flight, because you're not an idiot who likes 20hrs layovers, they'll tell you that you picked that fare and FORCE to pay 600$$$$ for the flight change... I think that's how they make their money...BE AWARE, DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM, THEIR FARE PRICES ARE FAKE..BELIEVE ME..

My first experience with FareGeek was quite frightening I am an oxygenarion (old lady) and after many attempts at trying to get my head around my computer (which has a mind of its own) I had no choice but to call and hopefully be able to speak to a human being. I'm not a friend of my phone because I'm deaf and get feedback in my ears BUT I WOULD GIVE THE YOUNG MAN THAT HELPED ME THROUGH A LONG AND LABORIOUS PROCESS with such kindness, without patronizing me in anyway...I would give him a 'Knighthood' or at least a Gold Medal. I will never book with them again. They specifically charged me $20 extra on my airfare ticket. I was told multiple times I would be receiving a refund. They once told me it would take a couple billing cycles on my credit card before I'd see the refund. I patiently waited 3 months and never received a refund. 4 months later, I'm in back and forth contact with them still waiting on a refund. Countless times I've been told I'd be hearing from someone by email but I never do. They use a lot of tactics to try and stall you without directly solving the problem. Maybe this was just coincidentally 1 bad experience but it's enough to scare me away from this company forever.

Looked on line at prices - Faregeek where the cheapest by far... Booked the flight and got a confirmation email. Then panic set in as we fly two days later and no tickets/booking reference. Phoned them and got no connection after about 20 mins and hung up. Another phone call. Waited 15mins and hung up. At this point I started reading the reviews and worrying. Looked at my credit card account on-line and no money had been taken was it booked or not. Started looking around for other flights but worried about there cancellation policy if I booked anything else. Then looked at credit card again and it had gone out. But no tickets emailed through. Phoned them and they took about 40 minutes to pick up the phone. Asked about tickets and the chap sent them through straight away. I have my tickets. Virgin Atlantic have confirmed my flights and I have saved £800.00 verses going direct to the airline. Their customer service needs looking at but I can't slag them off in the manner that some of the reviews have done on here. In conclusion: A bit of stress but they have delivered.

I don't know what these people are upto. I tried to change my departure date a week ahead and as per the norms they charge the fare difference and a penalty fee. So the fare difference was 80$ because i bought the ticket for 867$ and the price on their website is 947$. SO the total i was supposed to pay was 287$. But i don't know why the customer support told me to pay 590$. They are really nuts and would never recommend this site for flight bookings.

Refused to provide refund for flight after promising to refund it. When calling customer support the employee gave the same response of the refund being processed in a few days while after months there was no change. Attempts to reach a supervisor or someone able to provide help were dodged, being told that they were not available and when they offered to call back when the supervisor was available resulted in no response from the company even after waiting several months. The employees themselves were rude interupting the entire time and even when asked to stop this behavior they would interrupt still.

He was so polite and truely concerned for me. He cared so much that he sat on the phone with me for as long as it took to take care of my appointment. Unreliable and take no responsibility. Booked a series of 4 flights. Selected seats for all 4 flights and had the confirmation as well with the seats selected. When the time came to check in for the first flight on-line, lo and behold, none of the seats were selected. I had to call the airline itself and the agent helped us select the seats for the other 3 flights and send a request for us to have seats together in the first flight. When I called faregeek the agent was rude and asked "what do you want me to do?" I want them to fix their own problem obviously!! Do you need me to spell it out? I knew it was a lost cause once he said that and ultimately they were not able to do anything. I know that technical problems occur since the travel agency and airline are not the same company, but the way they handled it compared to the airline left a bad taste in my mouth. Why did Faregeek even send a confirmation with the seat numbers assigned if they weren't sure?

The bad reviews show a lack of understanding on the part of how this business works. They aggregate data from many different airlines and, for example, if a flight from Delta (on Delta's website) is from New York City to Paris and priced for $400 at 8AM, and one seat is left, then FareGeek will show $400. They will contact Delta and book it for you. Now, say someone buys that seat from Delta. FareGeek will show stale data and show the seat is still available. Not sure how long their data will be "stale" but that's how it works. That's where you come along. You book the $400 seat from FareGeek for that flight, FareGeek hours later tries to book it with Delta (a person does this), and they find that the seat is no longer available. Now you've wasted anywhere from a few hours to a couple days, and FareGeek either says it costs more money, or they cancel your ticket. Doesn't seem like the best business model, but that's the way they operate from my understanding. Using FareGeek, I booked a ticket back in January 2015 for $446 for a round-trip flight from NYC to Beijing on Transaero. Transaero's own website showed $800 and all the other popular booking websites showed the same price. After I booked it on FareGeek, I read the reviews and was extremely worried. Two days later, I got a confirmation from Transaero itself that the tickets were booked. The charge on my credit card was from Transaero itself. I was still worried since I read reviews that stated these tickets could still be cancelled and nobody would ever tell the customer. I called the airline a few times and they still confirmed the flight. My flight was in April 2015. No issues whatsoever. I really can't say anything bad about my experiences with FareGeek. Keep in mind if I had to change or cancel the flight, I lose the "advantages" that one would receive from booking with the airline itself (ie. I'd probably get charged a few hundred dollars). I don't remember the term, but there's a reason the tickets are sold by the airline this cheap. The airline generally wont be flexible if an issue comes up because they sold you such a cheap ticket in the first place. Also another reason that the tickets were this cheap was on my flight back to NYC from Beijing, there were only 70 something people on the Boeing 777. I got 5 middle seats to myself and had the best flight ever. My experience with airlines and their customers in general is that people have unrealistic expectations. They think if they have a flight tomorrow that they can call the airline today and have their flight re-scheduled for two days from today for free. It doesn't work that way for free, folks. The airliner isn't going to lose out because you decided on a last minute change, whether it's your fault or not.

The biggest nightmare I have ever dealt with. They make up stories about credit card rejected to get out of honouring an advertised price. I have now had a ticket for months - I travel next week and they will not confirm it. Now they do not reply to emails or answer their "customer service line". The time this has cost me far outweighs the savings on the ticket. It does not even get 1 star. I have no interest in a company you have to argue with to honour their word.

WORST!!!!! Really? I have a $254 credit towards a flight that I need to use up within a year. I called and they're telling me I have to pay a $200 fee to book a ticket. So faregeek is basically saying we're taking your money and you have to buy another ticket. NEVER EVER BOOK THROUGH THIS COMPANY!!!

I go to website faregeek travel agent buy the ticket go to intermation vacation, faregeek website show the flight map give me select the seat on the front I choice, I very important for the choice seat because this vacation go to out off country. I buy the ticket and select the seat any ok and pay money, after that I received email from agent faregeek sent give to me and confirm ticket number. the next day I want to sure I call to Eva Airline I want to comfirm right information. from the Eva Airline they said my information ticket not true. my select seat number not available. I talk with some one work in eva airline tell them help me get the seat. they give me the seat on back and some flight I can't seat together with my daughter. I not happy and call back talk with faregeek agent I waiting phone line have over 30min per call , they said they not control the seat for customer. I complaint how come on the website faregeek show up the flight map for customer select the seat. the mean look like fraud customer. faregeek do this way give all customer don't know and then buy the ticket select the flight seat after that call phone confirm with airline not true, faregeek very cheating customer and don't refund full money back give to me, I contact with my credit card tell them help me take care this problem and I had to send all email confirm from faregeek send to me , I send all email give to credid card company, because I have a faregeek website fraud me. my credit card company said they will fight this case with faregeek agent. I hope any one reading and understand me, I not good write the word English.

FareGeek failed to process my credit. I called to get it sorted, was yelled at by the agent Raymond (I was not combative at all), I requested a supervisor and was refused. I called back and insisted on a supervisor. I was transferred to supervisor Agnes (a male) who immediately put me on hold. I am still on hold, 45 minutes into the call.

Amazing!! I had a great experience with Airfare. I called in and spoke with Michael Ramsey about my flight and was pleasantly surprised by how patient, nice, and flexible he was with my request. omg the worst. at first they made the wrong reservation, which could have been disastrous since my children who are flying alone, would have had a lay-over in a third country, which would have been impossible. then they didn't put my name on the ticket as an authorized person, so i couldn't talk to the airline when i was trying to finalize stuff. finally, they forgot to confirm the flight, so i had to call them yet another time to actually get the flight confirmed, whatever that means. ugh.

BookAirFare was the best price available on such short notice. Furthermore, unfortunate circumstances arose and my ticket that I had not insured had to be cancelled. I called customer service and spoke with Michael Ramsey. He was one of the best customer service people I have spoken to in a long time. Not only was he extremely understanding, he changed my ticket to a refunable ticket to save me an extra $100 on the cancellation fees - AMAZING!

More like Farescam. A bunch of thieves and dishonest people. Worst customer service you can come across. Now I have to rebook a new flight with a different agency because faregeek is full of lies and bs. They hung up on me several times and they ask for a call back number but they never actually call you back. I needed to change my flight departure date due to an accident. I called them before and after my flight. They are just plain rude and unprofessional. They wouldn't give me a partial refund, and they asked me to pay way more than they asked the first time. They said I will have to pay penalty fee + Fare difference which came to a cost of $400 but when I called the second time and was ready to rebook my flight and pay what they said I should pay, they said it will be $900 knowing that when I checked online, the ticket price was the same, the flight information, route and airlines were the same and the rule was as long as I stick with the same route and airline, I will to pay the penalty fee and fare difference and that's it but they asked for more. $900 on just rebooking is way more than what I would pay with other agencies for a new flight. So, I might just book a whole new flight with another agency. faregeek is SCAM. STAY AWAY. This is my first time in my whole life that I write a negative review about anything so congrats faregeek on being so bad at everything that a patient and understanding customer like me has to write such a negative review. And all those 5 stars must be coming from the employees, no way. I would give it 0 star if there was was. Faregeek is so full of s***. You should change your name into Farescam and you should also stick to your Indian names than adopt 'white' names.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Our return flight was cancelled and I have been struggling to get a refund for over 2 months. I suspect the struggle will continue as they keep bouncing me around to different departments and new issues with the refund continue to miraculously appear. Save yourself the time you will spend on the back end with this company and spend the few extra dollars through the airline. What a pitiful excuse for a company. Listen to all the other reviews and stay away no matter how good the deal looks. This company is most definitely located in India, not in the US.

You will notice that all the 5 star reviews appear to be SPAMMY and talks about skepticism but its basically people with fake Google profiles! FareGeek ripped me off with a ticket, when I contacted the airline they said my name and ticket is non existent. I requested this and asked for a small refund on the $900 flight. They then said to me I have to pay another $630 in order to get half of my original ticket price. Since when is requesting more money on a paid amount to get a refund actually business etiquette?that is stealing !!! You guys need to sort yourselves out as a travel agency. Never AGAIN :)

They advertised a decent price for a rountrip FLL to MIA flight on Virgin America. The seat chart, confirmation emails, etc. showed me booked for an exit row and a window seat, both near the middle of the plane. Never got the exit row, and on the return trip they had me on a B seat near the rear lav (very bumpy, thanks for the air sickness, which I haven't experienced in 20+ years precisely because I avoid these seats). This is the LAST time I book with these clowns. Thanks for making me ill, ruining my day and wasting hours of my life.

If I could give no stars I would, worst experience in my life. Agents are awful, dont solve the problems, liers and there is no freaking manager to take care of anything. DO NOT USE, it will bring you lot of headaches had to call for a month

I wish there were a no star option for faregeek. I have never experienced such an unprofessional environment when booking my flight. I was forced to shut down my credit card in order to avoid any further payments/scams.I recommend anyone buying airplane tickets not to use faregeek to save time and money.

Horrible company! AKA BookAirfare - a void at all costs. I came across them as an option through Skyscanner. I was looking for the best rates on fares to Ireland & they came up with the cheapest flights. They weren't ridiculously cheaper, but enough to take advantage of the offer. So, I booked the flights online & was given an onscreen confirmation with the flight details, along with a Trip ID & Reference Number & was told I'd be receiving an e-mail with additional details 24-48 hours later. Two weeks later, that never came. Attempts to contact them went unanswered. I've since filed a dispute with my credit card vendor & a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (they already have a letter grade of F with that organization, if that's any indication as to their level of quality). Do not do business with this company. They did not respond to the BBB & I've been instructed to follow up with the State Attorney General.

Worst company I have ever booked a flight with. There flight was pretty cheap but I had to cancel it. They said I will get a credit of $250 but have to pay $25 fee.Sounds fair. I just called them to use this credit on a other flight but it ends up that for a $300 flight I still have to pay $270. What the hell??? On top of that, the person I talk to was rude, didnt care about me and kept interrupting me when I was talking. I asked him to talk to his supervisor and he said there was no supervisor and they will call me back in a hour. Bullshit. Will never ever book again with them.

I will NEVER use this site again to book a trip. I recently booked a trip through FareGeek as it was the best deal I found. I have, however, learned something that I would like to share to save others the nightmare we suffered. We were going to Curacao from Toronto, with a connecting flight in Aruba. Coming home, we had a connecting flight in Trinidad. We didn't mind having two legs of travel both ways because it saved us some money (or so we thought). When FareGeek books a trip this way, it is with two different carriers that DO NOT have anything to do with each other. We left Toronto (with WestJet) about 2 hours later than scheduled due to weather conditions. When we arrived in Aruba, we were too late for our connecting flight (with InselAir). This is where the problem lies........since each of these flights is booked as a separate flight (not a continuous trip), the two airlines DO NOT communicate with each other about late arrivals etc. Because of this, when we did not show up for our connecting flight with InselAir, we were considered "no-shows" so we lost that flight. We then had to pay to get on the next flight (even though this is a hopper flight that travels between Aruba and Curacao several times a day). Coming home, we almost had the same thing happen. We left Curacao late and were going to miss our connecting flight in Trinidad. It was only by sheer luck (or bad luck) that the second flight was delayed by almost 8 hours, so we made this connecting flight. Otherwise, we would have been in the same situation on our way home!! So......think twice before using this company. We thought we were saving some money by booking with FareGeek but, in the end, it cost us more money and A LOT of aggravation!!!!
