I would strongly recommend Nancy and her wonderful staff at Cruise and World Travel. I had found her using Virtuoso and could not be more pleased. She worked with me via email and within my travel budget. When I found a cheaper airfare she recommended that I book that myself to save $$. From the time we landed to boarding our flight back we had ground transportation/ transfers / tours all planned. On landing we were met at baggage claim and given our vouchers and tour program. Everything was well planned and executed. In fact we were thinking why was one of the tours at 5:30AM, its too early. It turned out to be a blessing as it got really hot in the day and we also got to see plenty of wildlife in the morning. The team knows what they are doing and are extremely experienced. We had a really wonderful two-week trip to Kenya and Tanzania. It was meticulously planned with every detail covered. We never had to wait to be met at an airport or lift a bag. We stayed at four lodges in the Masai Mara, Serengeti and Ngorangora Crater and each was a unique experience -- a different terrain, a different style. But in each one, the hospitality was warm and every need was accommodated. And we ended at a resort on a small island off the coast of Zanzibar -- Mnemba Island. Only 12 open-air bamboo villas on a breathtaking beach. Pure heaven. The trip managed to be exotic, adventurous and luxurious at the same time. We were thrilled.

We've just returned from yet another great trip that Nancy and her crew put together for our family. To top off a family "destination wedding" in Italy, Nancy got us on a ferry and helped us set up a driving trip through Croatia, where we stayed in jaw-droppingly beautiful hotels in settings that were not to be believed. The trip ranged from the gorgeous Adriatic resort of Rovinj, where we stayed in the luxurious Monte Mulini hotel, to the national park in Plitvice, where she got us into a Soviet-era rambling hotel that was wonderfully kitsch -- and located right in the park. In Split, we stayed at the most charming boutique I've ever seen, and in Dubrovnik (for Game of Thrones fans), the ultra-modern Villa Dubrovnik was built into the cliffs overlooking the walled city. The facilities and food were fabulous, access to the Adriatic was through beach facilities perched on the rock outcroppings, and a beautiful wooden speedboat ferried you back-and-forth to the old harbor. Every aspect of the trip ran perfectly, from the ferry out of Venice, to the rental cars, to figuring driving times between destinations, to Nancy's local correspondent -- a charming Croatian travel agent who provided us with a cell phone, and instructions to call 24/7 with anything we needed! That's service! So, we can once again rave about Nancy and her people -- and if you're thinking of Croatia, encourage you to do it, before it becomes even more popular.

The agent didn't even have a chance to to get my information, per her request, so she can research and help me. Good thing for Facebook, I really don't like rude people. I had actually already booked it myself, but my friend said, with Nancy's contacts and knowledge, if she booked it, my stay there would be more special. So I canceled my reservation and she booked it back. And he was right: because of her skills, we were given the best room and on the "club lounge" floor complete with breakfast, complimentary high tea and generous evening meal service with champagne and cocktails all served by the great club butler staff. And it was in the most-desired newer "Opera Wing." My hotel experience was beyond expectation because of Nancy skills and experience. I am looking forward to working with her in the future.

Having been invited to attend an interview this past March 2017 for a Professorship position at the private medical school on the beautiful tropical island of Grenada, Michelle was able to assist me with literally ALL my travel needs; including obtaining a passport within three business days, securing nonstop roundtrip air travel with exact seating as I requested, hotel accommodations on Grand Anse beach completely within my budgetary requirements, yet with coveted extraordinary second floor balcony ocean views :) She even provided me with wonderful advice concerning safe and reliable long term parking options at JFK Airport. This was ALL arranged within five business days of my departure date! Amazing!! And she even managed to secure a travel service contact for me in Grenada, so I had a private car service pick up directly from the Airport upon arrival to my destination hotel. So very helpful for a person like me who had not been overseas in 27 years! Perfect! Thank you Michelle! I just returned from a 3+ week trekking trip to Peru, Chile and Easter Island. This was my 5th trekking trip that I have done via Cruise & World Travel. I have used them to book some smaller trips as well. All trips were excellent in terms of detailed planning and execution. My only responsibility was to tell Nancy Yale or Tasha Williams where I wanted to go, and they came back with the perfect itinerary for me and my spouse. This wasn't always a no brainer for them as we have different abilities and different goals. I like challenging situations while he prefers to go at a more leisurely pace and take pictures. Somehow they made it work for both of us. In addition the hotel suggestions meshed nicely with our personalities and our budget. One thing that impressed me is that while I thought their job was done once the final itinerary was in my hands, they keep checking things as the trip progresses. For example, Tasha let me know about a flight change at the end of my most recent trip and worked things out (without a change fee!) so that we would not have an unplanned, huge layover before our next flight. Another important thing is thatTasha has unlimited patience with my often inane questions and concerns, and her response time to my calls or emails is always incredibly quick.

Having used Nancy and her team before, I left much of the 50th wedding anniversary travel arrangements to them, while handling the air myself. We selected an Oceania cruise from Venice to Barcelona and Shelby Bethke of Nancy's shop set up the transfers from Venice airport, a Venice hotel for a pre-cruise night, the cruise itself, and transfers to and from a Barcelona hotel for a post-cruise night. The transfers were luxurious and flawless and the hotels they recommended were simply stunning (Londra Palace in Venice and Hotel Neri in Barcelona). The cruise line, moreover, was superb in respect to the ship itself, the service and the dining, giving lie to some reviews we had read about alleged decline after the NCL takeover. In light of the quality we observed, we found those negative reviews to be absurd. Anyone making similar plans might look into arranging your own shore excursions rather than relying on Oceania--we found this to be the sole weak spot in the travel.

In today's world, it isn't necessary to use a travel agent, but our recent experience with Nancy and Joan at Cruise and World Travel proves there are exceptions to that. In April/May, my husband and I took 11 family members and close friends to a first class dream vacation in Tuscany. There were many moving parts to coordinate: everyone's schedules, car rentals, train tickets, activities, and our pre-trip to Lake Como and post-Tuscany trip to Amsterdam. When the dreaded call came from our family hours before they were scheduled to fly that their flight was cancelled, Cruise and World Travel jumped in and re-booked them on a nonstop flight the next day. Furthermore, Joan had highly recommended getting trip insurance, which I NEVER do, and we are receiving a sizable refund between the original discounted flights and the very pricey replacements. Highly recommend this travel agency, which has an additional plus for me: it's owned and operated by women!
