We had such a fun day. Mike was our guide. Not only was he an experienced and well-trained raft guide, he was funny and entertaining as well! When our daughter fell in at the Vortex, Mike immediately went into rescue and no nonsense mode. She was back in the boat within seconds! When we go again, we will definitely request him! In Mikes words, we "greased" Sunshine Falls! Another plus for Royal Gorge Rafting is their kayak staff. This is an added safety measure for the company. Another company capsized their boat on Sunshine Falls. Our group had already made it down. Our guides stayed until the other company had recovered and had at least one of their boats down before we continued with our trip. VERY PROFESSIONAL! If you are looking for a rafting company, look no further than RGR! They are the best--set above the rest!!!!

I booked the silver package for 2. Rafting in the morning and zipline in the afternoon. I very much enjoyed the rafting experience as it was very thrilling. I expected going late in the season would be very tame. That was a wrong assumption. According to our guide Alex, the waves would be smaller but the exposed rocks makes more dangerous. Our guide Alex is very knowledgeable, and was calm during the entirety of the trip which gave everyone on the boat a sense of confidence and safety. I was all smiles during all the drops, twists and turns of the river. This was a thrilling experience. I would come back next year to ride the river when it's full. In the afternoon, we did ziplining on the classic line. Our guides, Holden and Taylor were fantastic. They were great as guides but also fun to talk to during our trip. One thing I didn't expect was the classic line to be less exciting. If I had to do it again, I would have chosen the extreme line. Nevertheless it was a great experience. I would highly recommend both.

Myself and two adult Sons celebrated Fathers Day rafting the Royal Gorge. We did a half day trip and our Guide Blake did an awesome job making my first white water experience excellent. Blake made sure we hit all of the white water as possible to give my sons and I and great and wonderful time.

Went white water rafting twice with Steve, he was very caring and accommodating to rafting Bighorn with three young kids; 1 only weighing 52 pounds. Would definitely do it again, everyone is very kind rafting and zip-lining (Dylan & Lucas got along with the kids even when they weren’t in the best mood zip-lining).

This company is the best!!! My dad who is 89 and navigates with a walker was treated like a king. Sami and Taylor were wonderful. The entire staff treated us like we were family . The manager came out to the zipline to make sure my dad was ok. I would recommend them for any age. Give them a try you wont be disappointed!! Prices are very reasonable.

Went on July 4th for the 1/2 day Royal Gorge Trip. The water was too high to go down the Gorge, but we still had an awesome time! Our guide, Blake G, was awesome. He took great care of us and kept the boat laughing. Thanks again, Blake! Can't wait to go back for the Gorge!

Dalton and Kenny were AWESOME! Very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. My group had an absolute blast! The great weather was an added bonus for us that day. The area is beautiful, the hikes between lines were easy to moderate along with water stations available. The gear was in great shape and they went through a quick training before we started. Will definitely be back again and my friend will be bringing her husband and kids next time.

We had an awesome time at the Royal Gorge White Rafting! Our guide, Bryan, really made it enjoyable for us first timers including our 12-year-old son. He’s friendly & knowledgeable about all aspects of white water rafting and we felt thrilled throughout the entire ride. We couldn’t believe that 2 hours passed!! Time really flies when you’re having fun ;) Even though I don’t know swimming, he made me feel safe and encouraged me to jump into the water for fun. My family and I just got back from our Colorado vacation which included a rafting trip with Royal Gorge Rafting! We went on the Royal Gorge section of the Arkansas River. I have to say what an incredible experience we had from start to finish. We took my two boys age 12 and 14, and RGR went above and beyond to make sure we were safe AND had a BLAST! Mike was a tremendous guide, and even let me take the oars (on the safer part of the river):-) We will definitely return if we are in Colorado again. Thank you!

Very nice outfit and people. From the gathering area with multiple fire pits. Sand volleyball pit, cornhole, tether ball, tons of seating and a great bar and grill. We rode the big horn sheep 1/2 day run and our guide Chris did an amazing job navigating the waves, even when we would mispaddle (we weren't the best listeners) , he quickly corrected our course and was very knowledgeable of the river. We plan on return trips in our future visits to Colorado.

Kevin and Dylan were our guides, we went through the extreme package. I've been ziplining before in Kansas, this tour was nothing like that in a fantastic way. We're going white water rafting (which we have here before as well) and that was wondrous. If youre looking for a day of fun and adventure this is the place to go!

Wow!!! I had a great time on the ziplines and rafting. It was awesome! The zipline guides, Matt and Angelica were also awesome. They were very experienced and informative. They were really down to earth and really made us feel comfortable. I have a 7yr old son that was nervous at first but made him really comfortable and confident. The rafting was spectacular! I think everyone should try it once in their life. It was a blast! We had Thomas as our guide and he awesome as well. He will steer you in the right direction, no doubt. Allen was our whitewater rafting guide and we did the Royal Gorge trip (class 3/4 rapids). It was an absolute blast, he was funny, nice, and clearly very skilled. The trip itself was beautiful, fun, and challenging and we're definitely hooked. The company provides wetsuits because the weather was cold for the first half and it was welcomed! There's also an awesome restaurant next door with sand volleyball, bags, and axe throwing among fire pits. The food is excellent, as well! Highly recommend this company for whatever adventure you're looking for. It was well worth the drive from Rocky Mountain National Park!!!

We went on the Royal Gorge rafting trip today. The royal gorge was closed, but we did Bighorn Rapids instead. Our guide, Cheers, was amazing. I was fearful of falling out of the raft and tipping over. He calmed our fears. Not only did I feel completely safe with him as our guide, but all of the guides we had on our trip and the safety kayakers worked together and made sure all passengers and employees were safe. I would definitely use this company again! Safe and super FUN!!

We did the bighorn 1/2 day trip. Myself, my husband, and our 8 yr old. We had a fantastic time! Emma was our guide and was energetic, helpful, and really helped make the experience challenging but fun. My son started a little bit scared, which she was more than willing to accommodate and by the end, once he got a little bit more brave, she was more than happy to get him in the mix. Even I started out a little nervous, but I felt comfortable the whole time. We would absolutely recommend this company again. We really had a great time.

We had a great time rafting the Bighorn Sheep Canyon. I was a little hesitant because the water level is so high , but I am so glad I went. Our guide, Ben, was great. He was very energetic, positive, and knowledgeable. There was a little bit of disorganization at the take out spot because there were so many trying to get loaded at the same time. This was totally out of their control and they handled it well. I recommend this company.

Amazing whitewater rafting trip at Bighorn Sheep Canyon on July 17, 20919. Tyler was our guide for the morning and got us to the end of the run safely and with no one falling out of the raft, which was a BIG plus for me! In addition, I learned some fascinating history about the area and enjoyed some of the most magnificent scenery I have seen in a long time!! Great time and very well organized with a great safety presentation at the beginning, quality equipment and a good lunch at the grill after the trip. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and can't wait to go back!!

Finshed our first experience rafting this afternoon. Thomas was a super guide and gave great instructions and info about sites along the route. His rescue instructions were particularly helpful when our 16 yr old grandson (100 lbs) had to pull my husband (200 lbs) back into the boat! Our 11 yr old granddaughter had an awesome time too and he even gave her some time learning to steer the raft. Wonderful memories for us. Thanks to them for an easy checkin, and the wetsuits really helped us in the cold water. Try it, you'll love it!

We had an amazing time rafting and zipping! We did the extreme zipline tour and the royal gorge rafting. Our zip guides, Eric and Matt, were great and very helpful with teaching us newbies how to work everything. The rafting was an insane experience considering the river was right at the cutoff point. Ty was our guide and I think my group could vouch that without his direction, we would have never had the same experience; he was freaking awesome! We would definitely be back!!

The Arkansas river is the best for white water rafting. Plus we had the best rafting guide by the name Cody. We couldn't do the most adventurous river rafting because of my 8 year old son. We were in front leading the pack, possibly to pick up people who fell off other rafts behind us. Yes!!! the big horn adventure is not just for babies. We saw people who fell into the water. We functioned as a team all the way through the end. It was fun and a good workout for me. Its more fun actually paddling a raft vs just using a rowing machine. Be ready to be sore next day if you haven't been very active like me working in a office, but its a good sore

Did the Bronze package with Bighorn Sheep Canyon rafting trip with Cody and afternoon Classic Zipline with Ben and Hunter. Cody is a great guide. He was helpful, funny, but not over the top. We learned a lot and even with the young kids (one of them ours) we had a very successful trip down the river. It was all of our first time rafting and he was very helpful. I would highly recommend this trip for the novice, with or without, kids. It was fun with a few bigger rapids to keep it interesting. The Zipline course with Ben and Hunter was also great. It ended up being just the three of us and the guides in our time slot which was very nice. We'd been zip lining before but it had been awhile. Both were great with our son (9); informative, funny, and laid back. I would recommend this tour with, or without, kids. If our son was older I would have liked to have done the extreme course (I believe the minimum age is 13) We would definitely this company to anyone looking to raft or zip line in the Royal Gorge area.

Best rafting experience ever! This was my third time white water rafting and by far the best. Finally experienced some sick class fours and got very soaked. Brian was our guide and he rocked! I never felt scared and he prepped us for every rapid. I never thought I'd do class fives but after this experience, I'm ready to try some! Can't wait until next year!

White water rafting in the morning was nice but the water level was low so I dont think it was as much fun as it would if been a few weeks before now. The guide said best time is between June and July but water temp can be a little cooler. Zip lining was awesome. Had a great time with Luke and Dylan we highly recommend them for any future zip line fun. The overall day was still fun. And worth the stop.

Man was that exciting. With the great winter that Colorado had this year, the rafting in the canyon is like nothing else! The thrilling class 4 rapids made sure I got my money worth. The guide (Cam) was very skilled and was great at making sure our raft was safe but also able to make sure we had the time of our lives. I cant wait to catch some more white water with Royal Gorge Rafting!

This was our families first time white water rafting and zip-lining. We invited some friends to join us for white water rafting. My family and friends had so much fun white water rafting with Cody in the morning on the Bighorn sheep canyon. He was amazing with the 3 kids in our party. My son was enjoying swimming along with the raft when he was allowed to do so. Cody was amazing with our smallest child and made her feel comfortable being out there with us. Also the pictures taken by a different Cody, turned out amazing especially the one where my husband took a ton of white water over all of him. In the afternoon my family did classic zip lining with Lindsay and Maddie. These ladies were fantastic and put up with me being extremely anxious as I hate heights. My son did amazing and really enjoyed the views while on the zip line. My husband had a blast as well. I enjoyed it even though I was having issues with the gear being tight around my thighs and was hurting when we were done on the classic. Our family is looking forward to coming back to Colorado and doing it again. We definitely hope to get those guides again!!

Visiting from Florida and had to take a trip to see Royal Gorge with my Denver friends. We did the beginner half day rafting and zip lining package. The whole experience was absolutely incredible! We had Claude as our rafting guide. He was phenomenal and really helped us through the rapids while making it a fun experience. For zip lining, we had the wonderful Michaela and Luke as our guides. Despite the intimidating heights, they made us all feel comfortable and confident. We will definitely be back to Royal Gorge Rafting and Ziplining!

This place went above and beyond. We got done doing the zipline on the bridge at 12:30. As we called around we found out the check in time is 12:30. All the others told us no. They all suck. Royal gorge fit us in and found a guide (Mr Gambo) even when he had been doing doubles all week he volunteered to run another. He was awesome to take the time and take care of our family. We ran the river at high water with me, my wife (scared to so bad she couldn’t paddle) , 17 year old daughter, 15 year old daughter scared to death and paddles sometimes and my youngest 13 year old daughter that doesn’t sweep a small floor very well let alone a raft. If we can make down these waters with high water than anyone group can. Just do it. This company was great.

Brian was a great guide. He knew how to get us to work hard, but still make the trip enjoyable. He was knowledgeable about the Arkansas River and it's history. I did fall out of the raft, but Brian was able to make sure I was safe and quickly pulled back into the raft. Over all it was a great trip.

I had Matt and Taylor as my guides,, they were fantastic and took very good care of this old man. I was not accustom to the altitude and they allowed me to stop for breaks to catch my breath. I need for their supervisor to be aware of the great guides he has in Taylor and Matt. My experience on the zip line was fabulous and I would do it again if Matt and Taylor were there as my guides. I believe that Matt and Taylor deserve recognition for the service and also the biggest bonus or raise allowed. Taylor and Matt, you guys were the best and I thank you! Took my family visiting from Washington to whitewater rafting and we had a blast! It was all our first time rafting and Cody, our guide, made it fun and made this trip memorable! The Big Horn Sheep canyon is good for first time rafters. We felt safe, and he even let us jump in the water. The other Cody took awesome pictures from three different locations. OMG!!! That’s the best way to explain this trip. The staff was outstanding. The photographer was beyond outstanding and the food after the trip was amazing. If I could rate it a 10 I would. Safety was stressed the whole time and they had plenty of safety backups to insure a fun and safe trip as a level 4 rapids would allow. Blake G our guide was the awesome, from what I observed all the staff were the best of the best. The owners and management should be extremely proud!! Your team made memories our family will never forget!!

I participated in the half day Royal Gorge Rafting Tour with Alan as our guide. Alan was knowledgeable and kept us safe, while having a ton of fun and learning a lot about the gorge. At one point our raft ran up on a rock and Alan instructed us to stay calm and kept the raft from sinking or flipping. The Rapids were exhilarating and the trip was a blast! Cant wait for next summer to do it again!!

I had a wonderful time in both the zip line and the rafting tours. Angelica and Taylor were awesome they were so witty and funny and patient answering questions and keeping us moving with a on coming storm we had to wait it out in a lightning shelter and also had to decide what to do in going home and rescheduling or waiting it out a little longer luckily Colorado is always changing and we got another shot at finishing the course. None of us got summer teeth either! 10/10 recommend 100% In the rafting our guide Devin, was very pacient and willing to tell really neat stories about a 40 ft drop off of a river and he was very kind to directions and I am happy to say there was no dumping on the river and the photographer took some clever photos of us all.

We had a great time rafting last week! Highly recommend going—especially with this year’s high water! Only down side was that the actual royal gorge rafting portion was closed and that is a bucket list trip, and disappointed that the website doesn’t tell you when you book the gorge trip that you aren’t actually going to get to do that portion. However, the actual rafting was awesome and our guide, Alan O was great. He was very experience and did a great job reading us as paddlers and going through the best lines we could handle! We were the only boat that kept everyone in the boat. Great time! We will be back to do the royal gorge when it opens back up!

Did the 9am big horn rafting with Hannah - she’s amazing and never for a moment did we feel unsafe. Great company, great atmosphere, amazing life experience, and Hannah is the best! We also did the EXTREME zip lining 1:30pm with Sami (aka “Samuel”) and Kevin (aka “cactus foot”). They were so caring and patient but made the super hot day a lot of fun. One of the best zip lining experiences we’ve ever had. totally worth it, Including the final 70’ bungee drop.
