The staff in the visitors center were very nice and helpful. The bathrooms are on the outside of the center. Elk were outside eating which was fascinating.
This is a great place to go before exploring the park. Pick up a junior rangers book for kids and watch the movie downstairs
Small but informative with 2 3D maps and a small theater with a 23 min move shown on the half hour
The shuttle doesn't stop here and there isn't much inside except the theater that shows a 20 minute movie. I'll probably stop by to see the movie tomorrow. There is a good topographic map outside - easy to miss off to the left as you come to the main entrance.
Not much to see in the way of displays. There is a park movie shown every 30 minutes and there is a nice bookstore and gift shop. Plenty of rangers and volunteers to talk with to get get up to date information on the park conditions.
Nice place. Though it was smaller than I expected. I wasn't looking for a huge visitor center but still. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable as expected
Stop and get a good map of the area. They have a great touch and feel relief map of the area for kids too!
Went in the winter so I got to walk the pond frozen over. The loop was fun to walk, I'm sure its nicer in the spring.
Nice visitors center but they need more Park rangers giving info. Too long of lines waiting for info.
It was a great place to stop and ask about trials and best places to go see .
We were the first ones there on a Thursday morning and were welcomed by very nice volunteers to help guide us. We got a map and some details on hikes.
Nice small visitors center. They didn’t have a wide variety of magnets for sale. The water fountains were also not working.
Nice visitor center. Large parking lot with bathrooms. Visitors center has a nice gift shop and you can also view a movie downstairs.
Great place to start your trip into RMNP. Free WiFi
There’s less content here than at the other east entrance visitor’s center, but what’s here is well-curated.
National Park welcome center...not much items for sale here
Very knowledgeable staff. Great place to start.
Very helpful rangers. Some views to enjoy from their patio
Clean bathrooms. Great little shop, scored some cool postcards.
Helpful staff and good location! Many things to do in the park and it does get snowy!
The staffs were very friendly and helping in nature. We had flat tires and they helped us in getting help from nearby shops
Lots of pertinent info from patient staff!
Awesome place to be at. The staff is willing to assist you at the drop of a hat and gives you a patiant hearing.
Only two advisors on a busy Summer day. Long lines. Overcrowded parking lot.
Wonderful intro or closure to a visit to Rocky.
I wish I had gotten the name of the ranger that helped me...either way she gave us the best suggestions.
Great place to stop and meet some rangers, and gather some RMNP info.
Very friendly, helpful workers.
Great place to stop. Friendly staff.
Good gift shop, picked up a few items. Rangers were very helpful when seeking advice on hikes.
Good visitor center. Very good displays and rangers are helpful.
Very helpful staff if you're a first time visitor to RMNP. Excellent information and handouts with a pleasant attitude.
nice and helpful staff.
Good place to stop, bathrooms were clean
A great place to ask questions and get souvenirs.
Friendly staffs. Clean restrooms. A quick stop to get info you want.
Beautiful building in the style of Frank Lloyd Wright. Nice clean facilities.
Nice well appointed center
Clean bathrooms and a great first view up to the Rocky Mountain national park.
The 23 minute video is a nice introduction to your time at RMNP.
One of the first visitor centers when you go into the park. Lovely little place with Frank Lloyd Wright inspired architecture. Everyone is super helpful, and they have good bathrooms.
Rangers were very helpful and gave us options for hikes. Movie is informative and a great way to begin our first visit to the park
This place is awesome! We went at the end of May, and Trail Ridge Road was still closed due to snow. However the view behind the visitor center is beautiful. They have a mini-movie downstairs that teaches you a little bit about the park. There were also two 3D maps of the park which made it easier to see where we wanted to go and as well as see the scale of things a little better. The park ranger we talked to told us about some of the best places in the park to visit, when to go, and what we would be able to see. He was very informative! Great visitor center and a great experience!
Park rangers were very helpful and a nice center
Can be crowded in the morning... the earlier you go the better it is... best if u have your specific questions ready... u can get the maps from the park entrance... so if you only need that, you can skip this center. We had questions about what we can do with a toddler... so they were helpful on that.
Top notch staff. To deal with that many people and answer the same questions every 5 minutes with a smile and enthusiasm is phenomenal. An exceptionally neat and clean facility too.
This one is one of the worst visitors centers I’ve seen across the US but even then it’s still a national park so the experience is worth it.
Located few miles away from Estes Park, very much convenient to get the information about the national park. Rangers are knowledgeable and give accurate information about the trails and ranger programs. Also shows enthusiasm in telling people about the best viewing and photographic locations. Rest rooms are very well maintained cleaned and small gift shop located inside the visitor center.
Great place to visit before entering or exiting the park. The staff is friendly and courteous and hard working.
The gateway to one of the greatest National Parks ever.
Clean restrooms, great variety of hiking supplies, as well as t-shirts and small souvenir type items. Friendly and helpful attendant that provided us with local trails and level of difficulty for each! Will definitely return if in the area.
Would love to come back here, the last time I was here in Jan of 2018 the park was closed due to Govt shutdown. However the drive up to the park was really breath taking with the mountains and twisty roads. It would be great for the staff to leave the national park stamp outside so people can get the park stamp even when the visitor center is closed.
It is in Rocky Mountain National Park and quite beautiful
There's so much to do, the trails and fresh air are only matched by the scenery
Rocky mountain national park, what else do we need to say?
Beaver Meadows is the west entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park. We also drove through from the Estes entrance. This visitor center was ok but Estes was a bit better but also alot more crowded too. Both have the same souvenirs though. Definitely recommend going through both ways. It was a blast!
There is no greater use of tax dollars than the National Park Service. I had a great time in this small visitor center, found a few souvenirs for friends and spoke to a ranger for hiking recommendations. Her name, no kidding, was Robin Williams. Quite auspicious. We drove every road that wasn't closed with snow (April). Awesome time!
Rangers are helpful, nice selection of RMNP merchandise.
Clean restrooms and very helpful staff who know everything there is to know about the area and the trails nearby.
Very nice people.
Great staff! So helpful!
Loved it here. Can't wait to go back again.. I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends.
Wonderful Rocky Mountain National Park Visitor's Center. A park ranger told us of short hikes & answered all our questions. Thanks for an amazing spot!!
RMNP is incredible! So beautiful!
A few hands-on activities, good info, nice views, store, outside walking trail, and Rangers to answer questions.
Pleasant and efficient staff, good merch
Sooooo crowded! Also, this Visitor's Center doesn't have a squished penny machine, and all their magnets have descriptions of park features on them. I just wanted a nice picture with the name of the park. I highly recommend stopping at the Fall River Visitor's Center instead. It is still crowded, but since it is larger it doesn't feel so crazy. It also has a much better selection of souvenirs.
Too many people driving too fast pulling off wherever they want in the middle of the road
Great stop before you enter the park!
Very informative about the surrounding area.
Very informative stop prior to entering the Park.
Rangers are nice and helpful. Would be nice to have park maps.
Beautiful setting with a great visitors Center. Pleasant drive there and on to the Lake. Rangers and Staff were all very friendly and knowledgable. Facilities were well maintained and grounds spotless. Definitely and great visit and place we will come back to again and again.
Great place for a quick stop on your way through Rocky Mountain National Park.
Loved visiting bear lake. I would definitely recommend going here.
Love RMNP period... cool rangers great park!
Made a quick stop for restroom and it was clean. Has plenty of parking and helpful staff.
Very good place to go if you need information about where you're going and plus they have food and drink to snack on
Well kept trails.
Rangers are always helpful. It can get pretty crowded here on weekends and in summer, but worth the stop. We always watch the movie downstairs. If it's your time to visit, watching the movie before heading on the park will give you a greater appreciation and understanding of the history.
This is the nicest visitor center I ever seen. The view was breathtaking and the location was clean.
I stopped in there near the end of the day on my way up to the top of Pikes Peak. Surprisingly, it had more of the feel of a little country store (which it actually is) than of a tourist trap. The man at the counter was very personable and friendly and the prices were not that bad for a little store that isolated. True, it caters to hikers and tourists but you don't feel like you have been taken advantage of when you leave.
Jack and Jennifer were awesome with our questions and what to do in 2 days. Well worth a stop before going into the park. Extra maps available of the different points of interest and trails.
This was the end of a gorgeous drive along Trail Ridge. Temps at the top are quite a bit cooler so bring a jacket.
Great staff, decent exhibits, but small gift shop.
Open with restrooms but saw no big rig parking
The National Parks are America's Best Idea. RMNP is a treasure. Please treat it like one and obey the park rules. Stay on the trails, stay away from wildlife, and especially, please don't walk on the tundra - it's an exquisitely fragile ecosystem.
Rocky Mountain National Park is a must see.
Nice visitor center. Friendly and informative staff. A must stop before going into the park.
Great stop before you get into the park. Info on commute times and trailhead lot fill up times are posted inside.
Great service, the rangers we're friendly and answered all questions. The large FAQ board was helpful.
All the we encountered were pleasant and approachable. The location was clean neat and orderly.
Small visitor center for how busy and hype the park was. Hooked us up fat with what we needed though.
Great staff. Lovely displays.
Pretty place, but the other visitors centers have much more and nicer staff.
Lots of good information.
Not a very large or informative visitors center. Has a movie, but overall facility appears to be small and inadequate for the crowds we encountered there. The ride was excellent over the Rocky Mountains.
Breathtaking views! Great gift shop staffed with very nice people. The Rangers are superb. There was a herd of Elk not far from the visitors center. Great hiking.
A wee bit over crowded. But scenically spell bound.
Gorgeous! The Frank Lloyd Wright inspired center is worth seeing.
Smaller than many visitor centers; excellent movie shone about RMNP
This a nice facility with plenty of educational opportunities. The staff is friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable!
Beautiful. Knowledgable people, very helpful.
Beautiful scenery with souvenirs and information about the park. Rangers are helpful and friendly.
Very good information from helpful staff here
The Center was quite busy as it was a holiday weekend, but the staff was very courteous and informative for how to best navigate the area.
If you love nature and hiking Rocky Mountain National Park has great views and great trails$
Man working the desk was extremely helpful! Knew his way around the park to make suggestions that fit what we wanted to get out of our hike. Has a cool model of the park as well.
This place has several trails and if you drive up it has many more trails and beautiful scenic views!!
A nice NPS visitor center. This site brings back good memories of trips with our kids.
Friendly/ knowledgeable staff. Small gift shop.
Beautiful views, friendly customer service, clean
Perfect place to start and get all the information. Very friendly staff, they basically planned our vacation and what to do when based on recent animal sightings.
I was given directions on how to see the best views in the time I had available by the friendliest and most helpful park ranger I have ever met.
Great visitors center. They have a FAQs board that's super helpful but the guides are great with suggestions for hikes with the amount of time you have in the park. We ended up doing Deer Mountain, and multiple trails at Bear Lake (Gem Lake, Nymph Lake, Emerald Lake, Lake Haiyaha, Alberta Falls).
Very friendly and helpful. Go down step to view 23 minute movie.
The visitor center was excellent. We spoke to a few different rangers that gave us an excellent lay of the land and really were welcoming to the park. This park is so big, and has so many things to see and do so I really suggest going to see these friendly, talented Rangers to understand the current conditions and directions.
Awesome topographical map of the park outside.
I have been there many times and it's always a delightful place to visit mansions and Lady rooms are immaculate and has plenty of room for
Great visitors center. Not much in exhibits, but they do have a nice auditorium with videos showing every 30min.
Helpful place but the line can back up with a single ranger answering questions
Good information for the park, passport stamps available, great introductory film for the park.
Very friendly and helpful staff. I had a few questions about trail closures and they had all the information available and provided alternative trails to explore. You can fill up your water here and also purchase some souvenirs at the gift shop. The view from behind the Visitor center is amazing and gives you a good welcome to the Rockies.
Beautiful, lots of antelope on side of roads, even crossing the road. White cap mountains. And beautiful sunsets. For the best adventure for the day. You could travel up to 5 hours for the best scenic views of the mountains and the lakes.
Note that tickets are not sold here! Continue into the park to get to the ticket booths.
This visitor center was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. There was a very nice gift shop. Rangers are helpful and the short movie was interesting.
Great place to visit before you enter the park. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. They provided us advice on what areas are best for seeing animals. They also have a nice gift shop with a variety of offerings at reasonable prices. This is also a good spot to use the restroom. The restrooms are heated, have running water, are clean and well maintained.
Great place to use the bathroom and get information about the park from friendly rangers. There is a short video about the park but I'd recommend the alpine visitors center for more exhibits about the park and it's wildlife.
Enjoyed the video they play every 30 minutes. Good gift shop.
Very informative staff, must stop before entering the RMNP
Interesting architecture. Building inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright made of steel and rock. Small gift shop - the big one is at the Alpine visors center. Rangers inside were helpful.
Friendly staff and park rangers who are helpful and great with kids
I went their to pick up our camping permit. $30 split between a group of 5 people is a great price to camp in the national forest. They have the best rangers there. They gave me a great overview of the area we would be staying in and things to watch out for and look for. In a friendly, yet authoritative way he charged me with keeping the forest clean and doing my part to preserve it which is very important to me.
Excellent and friendly staff, large selection of merchandise in the gift shop and very interesting exhibits. Crowded but that is expected during mid-afternoon. Restrooms on site we're clean and did not stink. Would return and recommend it to other travellers.
I wasn't here long enough to really look around, but it was a really nice facility. I would have loved to have time to look around the gift shop. The restrooms were nice and clean. Lots of parking available.
The national park price is too high at this point. Yes, it helps. But there should be 7 day and 14 day passes with a decent price reduction so more people will want to stay longer.
Great info, rangers very helpful
Really friendly and helpful staff. We got the maps and information requested.
Smart so to make to make your plans for the day or weekend too be best prepared.
Extremely friendly and informative staff! Thank you!
Knowledgeable park rangers. Helped to determine what trails to take
Great service and cute gift shop
The restrooms were really dirty. In all fairness it was raining the day we went, and the volume of visitors were high. But I do wish there had been better maintained places for us to go to at the end of a very wet and long hike.
Not much there, except for information about the park. Oh, there is a nice 23 minute movie.
Truly enjoyed the visitor center told the Ranger on duty I would cut him in on Fenn’s Treasure when I found it! Still Looking.
Very helpful staff, with excellent selection of books and guides.
Always a great place to start your visit to Rocky Mountain National Park.
Get info before entering the Rocky Mountain National Park
Awesome! Very nice AND reasonably priced gifts!!
Knowledgeable rangers. We used their tips and saw a herd of 85 elk today!
GO HERE!! FANTASTIC VIEWS!! Wildlife as well!!
Nice clean visitor center with a gift shop and restrooms.
Super helpful rangers that gave great advice for our hike. We came in March so it’s always a bit up in the air, but he was super helpful on giving us a map, showing us where to go, letting us know the trail conditions, and telling us the level. They have a nice little shop and a place to learn more about the wildlife too. Would suggest stopping in to see what you are getting into. (Pictures is from deer ridge trail)
We stopped here in order to break up a long leg of travel and were quite pleasantly surprised. This is a pleasant oasis on the Kansas prairie. We were on a ridge overlooking a lake. These particular sites were newer pull-throughs with full services. There are also back-in sites in a wooded area, some with water and electric. The tent sites are rustic. Go and enjoy some time fishing or boating.
This is a nice visitor center in Rocky Mountain Natl Park, which has spectacular views of mountains. They have friendly park Rangers as staff & a cute gift shop. The building is very clean with ample restrooms. There is also a Theatre down the basement for some kind of shows, which we could not stay for. We went toward the end of October & they were still open.
Beautiful trails. Very well maintained.
Ranger Andie gave my family fabulous advice on hikes and where to see the elk rut and was super kind to my 3 5 and 7 year olds. Fantastic experience thanks Andie and NPS!
The gift shop had great items and the staff was super friendly! The park rangers were very knowledgable about the different trails and will recommend what trails to take based on your experience, kids, etc.Theyll also let you know if there is any muddy or snowy trails.
