Wonderful travel agency

I have been using Academy Travel and Tours for the last 20 years and have always had great customer service and great experiences. Nancy has helped me plan multiple Las Vegas trips, two cruises and at least 7 Disney World vacations for my family. Academy Travel has never let me down and I will continue to use them. Don't be lured into those on- line travel agencies that have poor customer service, long wait times on the phones, and the possibility of talking to an agent that barely speaks English.

I do not recommend this place. Treated poorly and disrespectfully. The travel agent treated me as a child who do not understand English. I am 23 years old, college graduated student athlete, and me and my sister were looking to take a trip to Dominican Republic for her college spring break. We have been to the Dominican a handful of times, so I understand the prices and how this process should work. We just moved to Colorado Springs from Chicago and wanted to find a local travel agent instead of using ours from Chicago. I also wanted to book this trip on my own and I wanted to learn how this process should work. Unfortunately, me and my sister were treated very, very poorly by Gabrielle. She did not listen to what hotel and area I was looking for, she treated me as if I had no idea how any of this works. Where a matter of fact, I have been out of the country not only to Dominican but to Mexico and Europe, as well as work with hotels and airlines for my everyday job. She kept interrupting me rudely and talking down on me. I told her I was not a fan of a certain airline and would like to avoid using that airline and she told me to get over it because that is the only option. I found it very disrespectful. I also asked her to see if of any other locations besides the hotels i previously did research on, which she did not even provide options of. She also was suppose to call me after a week to see if more airline options were available, she did not. I am one for first impressions and I can honestly say I will never return to this location again and will never recommend it. I did end up using my Chicago travel agent who got me an awesome deal of only $1049 in a 5 star all inclusive hotel in Punta Cana for a 6 night stay. Gabrielle did not offer anything close, she offered $1900 + for less nights.

We worked with Gabriele Suhr again. She is highly recommended!!! The last trip was Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora. Everything was perfect including resorts, recommended restaurants, locations and the arranged transportation. We will continue partnering with her moving forward!

Trustworthiness... Going out of one's way to do a good deed. I've never used Academy Travel, but had a very good reason to stop by their office today to say thank you to someone who matches these traits. My daughter in love got a call this morning from Gabriele to say she found a purse in the Walmart parking lot belonging to my elderly mother. She didn't know our family, but she blessed us in an amazing way! Gabriele looked through it just to see if there was contact info to find the owner and found a list of phone numbers. She took the purse with all of its contents to customer service and left it with them, then called my daughter in love to let her know it was found. That was a beautiful, wonderful Christmas gift to our family! So if I ever need a trustworthy travel service, I will be calling Gabriele. Already know her character so I'm going to recommend her to you. She deserves your business!
