I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT USING GRAYLINE SANFRANCISO, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO GETTING ONTO ALCATRAZ ISLAND. We had tickets to Alcatraz booked 4 months in advance. We were told to call at least 24 hours prior to departure to find out what time to be at the pier. We called for 5 days and were guaranteed calls back. After not receiving a call back, and calling for 5 days in a row and being put on hold, we finally got ahold of someone who informed us...2 DAYS before our tour was suppose to happen... that they overbooked and were canceling our tickets, even though we got a confirmation number and printed vouchers sent to us. Now we know why no one was returning our phone calls or wanting to talk to us... because they messed up. We planned our whole trip around this tour, and are extremely disappointed.

“Gray line is a wow in SFO ..everyone must try for it! I like the company and Antonio was Great! On Monday sept 10th we started our journey around 7am from 478 post st(union square SFO) and I was very happy to have Antonio. Because he was More than a diver or as a tourist guide for the trip . As per his experience and knowledge he is the definition of what a tour guide and a driver should always aspire to be. He has all the facts to share about different plantation as we drove by country side, when reached to Farmers Market we had a very nice choices of foods and after hours and hours of his very knowledgeable guided speech it was very great to listen to special music played “brown eyed girl -Van Morrison” and a lot more “what a great combination ..that is called a perfect trip! We reached at 8000ft elevation as we drive through the beautiful mountains and down there entered to Yosemite. The stop at Natural Spring water was relaxing as we stretched ourself. Antonio was very friendly and in between he cracked some jokes about the bears “very refreshing and lot more. The bus was very comfortable, watched movie on way back, Ac was perfect and WiFi too! About the National Park Yosemite itself is breathtaking “Half Dome “El Capitan and lots others were at their own perfection! There is a Starbucks and food restaurant so no one was left hungry, lots of trail are there if chosed to do one and also saw some mountain climbers doing their great jobs! Had Incredible views where ever Antonio made stops Thank you very much! Overall I had a great experience of My trip “dream come true in a expected way!

Went on a mid-May day tour of Yosemite from SF. It was the best time to go and our guide and driver Antonio was fabulous. Knowledgeable and passionate about the park. The bus ride itself was comfortable, with outlets to charge your phone and a clean bathroom. Plenty of stops to take photos and lots of time in the park. Highly recommend!

Terrible terrible service and delivery. We booked a bus to Muir Woods and Sausalito. We show up and they tell us we can’t go to Muir Woods due to gov shutdown. I call Muir Woods Park and speak to a ranger. They are open as normal. The coolant advertised charter bus with a private bathroom. Nope. Small coach, no bathroom. Not good for a pregnant wife. They gave us a ticket for the ferry ride back as a “concession”. No discount. No logical explanation. The staff was extremely rude and intolerant even after explaining I had talked with Park staff minutes before. Buyer beware!

Took a bus trip from San Francisco to Yosemite, and along the way we made a stop at Raleys Grocery store to pick up food. We got to our destination safely, and promptly although the driver seemed a bit odd. Dry humor, blunt and opinionated yet friendly.

Today 7/12/18 we took the Napa/Sonoma wine tour with driver Rachid, after all day and at the 5th stop Golden Gate Bridge he stopped for passengers to view bridge, use bathroom and get coffee if wanted, he said we had 15 minutes, we did all and we’re left behind. We had to take an Uber to downtown to recover belongings and when asked how late were we to be left behind, response was 3 minutes. This is tourist attraction, a service oriented industry involving the customer experience and 3 minutes decides on leaving us behind at the bridge? This is totally against any kind of professional courteous environment with no regards for the customer. I am beyond words that 3 minutes gives driver Rachid the right to leave paying customers behind. Be warned, not about the customer experience, at least not in any positive way!

Chali, our driver did a great job driving especially on all the hairpin turns going to Yosemite. He has a good personality and took us to all the best locations for photographs. Enjoyed 3 hours alone in the park. He was very accommodating and helpful to ALL the passengers.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY SELL MORE TICKETS FOR TRIPS THAN THEY HAVE SPACES FOR AND THEN DON'T RESPOND TO TELEPHONE CALLS OR EMAILS NOR DO THEY PROCESS REFUNDS. We prebooked the City Tour & Alcatraz Island Combo tour 2 months prior to visiting San Francisco and having telephoned and emailed for trip timings and meeting point but receiving no response, went into the shop as soon as we arrived which was the day before the trip only to find out that Grayline had oversold tickets for the trip and we couldn't go. The woman in the shop really didn't care and was very unsympathetic but did say she would process our refund immediately, WHICH WE STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED. We have since called again and email the company director Chris Leschinger TWICE but again, we have received no response. WHAT AN ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING COMPANY TO DEAL WITH

We decided to ride the Hop on hop off double decker bus, because our 4 year-old daughter wanted to see all the places Larry has been to in her favorite book, Larry Gets Lost in San Francisco. She loved riding on the top level of the bus. We explored Downtown, Chinatown, North Beach, Fisherman's Wharf and Ghirardelli Square the first day. On the second day, we visited Golden Gate Park, Golden Gate Bridge and Sausalito. The hi-lite was riding the double decker cable car across the bridge with our hilarious driver. We had so much fun and learned much about our native city. Our next adventure will be Muir Woods with Gray Line.

What a disaster!!! Hopped on this at the last minute since my kids love double decker buses and it was a nightmare up until the point when the driver left us behind at the Golden Gate bridge!!! There are so many things that made our experience horrible so I will only list a few here: the driver over the loudspeaker was unbelievably loud and irritating the entire time, riding on top was actually unsafe and both me and my two-year-old got whacked in the face with tree branches at one point, the driver actually left us stop a minute early as we were crossing the street to get back on the bus and left us stranded! Once we were stranded we called the company and they essentially said too bad. We hopped on a different bus and had a great ride back into the city.

Came for a Muir Woods and Sausalito tour and it was amazing. Went the next day for a nap valley wine tour and it was breath taking. About a 8 hour tour and it was worth every penny. The tour guide Antonio was very kind and knowledgeable about the tour. Would definitely do the tour again.

We booked the Greyline Holiday Xmas Bus tour for my wife, Daughter and I. They offered us a shuttle pick up on Post Street near our Union Square hotel. The shuttle never came. We had to scramble to get an $20 Uber ride to the Bus departure site new Fisherman's Wharf. We get there and the bus is over full with no seats available. We were asked to come back the next night. Miguel, who was handling boarding riders was less than helpful and full of bad attitude. We ended up having to stand in the stairway to the upper deck because of no seats. There are other companies doing Xmas light tours. Do not book with Greyline as they will not come pick you up and after you get there at your own expense - you likely won't get the seats you paid for and as a bonus - you get a healthy dose of attitude from their minimum wage help. Spend your money elsewhere!

We went on the Muir Woods tour and enjoyed it. The convenience of having a ride to and from Muir was worth it (no dealing with parking reservations or ridesharing with no service). Our driver Antonio was entertaining and informative. We arrived and departed at each stop on time, they would tell us when to return before unloading the bus to keep us moving along.

Sveta was really amazing. I was booking a last minute trip and she made sure that I had health and travel insurance coverage while abroad. It's something I would have never thought of and thank goodness I had it since I got myself mugged in Santiago by stupidly carrying all my valuables with me in an area where there weren't other people around. Sveta was really the best since she made lots of after hours calls in order to set it up.

Great way to see different areas near/around the San Francisco area. We did the muir woods/sausalito tour. The driver was very friendly, and provided us with facts/trivia about the areas we were driving through/visiting. He also provided us with dining recommendations in the sausalito area. Check in was simple, and the bus was extremely comfortable and well air-conditioned. Highly recommend their tours

The city tour was the worst tour I've ever been on. Do NOT book it. 3.5 hours on a coach bus and you hardly seen anything worth seeing. Most of the tour is spent driving through rather boring parts of the city. Now, maybe this tour would be better given the guide. Our guide was terrible. She spent half the tour talking to people up front. She didn't repeat their questions and would answer random questions without sharing much guided information. She left late from several stops and made unplanned and let people off bus which added extra time. Terrible. The tour was so bad we got off at the last stop she made and just walked back. We couldn't wait another minute to get out of there. 0 out of 5 stars. We did a Muir Woods tour with the same company and it was much better. The tour was good because of the tour guide and we took the ferry back. I don't recommend taking the bus back or you won't have much time in Sausalito. 3 out of 5 stars. Either way though, the tours are pricey and not worth the money. My recommendation to the company is to train their guides better, decrease the prices, and make it a bit more fun. Giving one star because the city tour was so bad.

Took the Muir Woods tour. I shopped a lot of tours and Gray offered the most (time, stops, admission included, no extra charges) for the best price. Even a toilet on the bus (number 1 only, please!). The driver was an excellent guide, funny, and looked after us. He even made sure a woman got the corn dog she wanted before she left for the airport for South Africa!

Did the Day Yosemite tour with Vlad. Vlad is a funny guy, quite knowledgable about things but didn't have internet to fact check so I'lll just have to believe him. I actually did enjoy the geology lessons and even learned some pretty cool things. Bus wasn't exactly the most comfortable but sufficient. Touring Yosemite on a bus wasn't the correct decision - there were several times when you might want to stop and get out to take a picture but buses are only allowed in a few spots - still we got the main spots. If I were to do it again, I would rent a car and drive it. Still - Vlad is a cool guy with a cool accent and the trip overall a good time.

Careful with this service. I booked 2 months in advance and they overbooked our trip and wasn't able to go on Muir Wood Sausalito excursion. They gave us a refund and free transportation on and off their double decker bus. Still disappointed, Muir woods was the main reason to go to San Francisco. Renting a car next visit!

If you get there and your driver's name is Ken, RUN AWAY! what a nightmare. Stuck with the rude, arrogant man twice! My other 3 tours with gray line were good to great. Had a tour with Antonio that was incredible. But the nightmare this idiot caused me is unconscionable. The other tour guides follow a schedule and go where the tour said. This guide skipped a winery and both times brought us back an hour and a half late for no reason. He babbles endlessly about nothing and sometimes just sings loudly and badly. He walked up the aisle and woke up a sleeping woman to give her a map instead of leaving it on her seat. He thinks we're there to entertain him. He doesn't follow the agreed upon terms but does whatever is easier for him. It's disgraceful!!

Our driver guide, Chabli was superb. he was knowledgeable and humorous. The tour start from San Francisco around 9 am and returned at 6;30 PM. Stopped at Nicholson Ranch Winery (Sonoma),Madonna Estate (Napa),Lunch in Yountville at V Marketplace ( not included) and Sutter Home Winery (Napa). We had guided tours at each winery with a wine tasting, small samples. Beautiful drive through both Napa and Sonoma vineyards.

Die San Francisco City Tour Deluxe war jeden Cent wert. Die Tour dauert 3,5 Stunden und man sitzt tatsächlich sehr viel im Bus. Aber zwischendurch gibt es eine Menge interessanter Stops, z.B. auf den Twin Peaks, an der Golden Gate Bridge, Lands End und im Golden Gate Park. Unser Guide berichtete während der Fahrt sehr viele interessante Details zur Stadt. Heute hatten wir etwas Pech mit dem Wetter, daher konnte man von den Twin Peaks aus nur Nebel sehen. Vor drei Jahren hatte ich bei der gleichen Tour eine wahnsinnig schöne Aussicht. Trotzdem hatten wir heute sehr viel Spaß und konnten auch ein paar schöne Fotos machen.

Grayline used to be a good tour company a long time ago , ,but these days it's a high priced Tour Company over most of the rest of them . It's a good put together company but it's high priced too . You can hire a lot of other companies that have much better rates .
