REVIEWS OF Golden Gate Bridge Welcome Center IN California

Chris Gunn

A great stop that you can't pass by. If you can get parking, it's just $1 an hour, and you can get it for max 2 hours. Grab your pics, walk a little bit of the bridge, and have a quick hike. You can do plenty in no time.

Heidi Dizon

First time to visit, it was windy and cold but we've got a good site of "the bridge". The weather was generally fine we were able to tour around and had a glimpse of its history.ź

Wittawat Naruenatwanit

nice view of the handsome bridge. Trail walk from baker beach and rested here for lunch at Round House cafe before crossing over to Sausalito.

Ferdinand De Guzman

Looking at the modern Golden Gate Bridge makes me think of how beautiful the city was.

Ahad Subzwari

Cool to get down by the water and see the bridge from a different angle. Extremely crowded and not worth going out of you way to stop.

Lucen Li

Stunning view, super windy.

Asad Mehmood

Amazing experience hands down. For travellers i would recommend a few things Do take some warm clothing as it gets cold on the bridge walk If you can bike make sure you are on the right side as one side seemed like pedestrians walk while the other is for bikes There are rest room on each side of the entrance There is a golden gate coffee shop I recommend take a coffee and enjoy the view as i did in this picture There is ample parking space however the further down the road you park increases your walk from the attraction From kids perspective try not to take strollers as wind pressure is too much and gets tough to hand it

Layla Altaha

One of the must visit in San Francisco. You can cross the bridge by walking till the end. Amazing view

Chio Alvarez

I liked that you get parking space for all day for $5.00. Very convenient, and it has easy access to the bridge. The only reason I did not give this place 5 stars is the restrooms. The restrooms are dirty, and you have to wait a long time in line to use those.

Melissa Chia

The staff were really friendly and helpful in telling us information regarding the bridge. There are free shuttles just outside as well. Definitely go there before crossing the bridge.

Jesiel Dos Santos

A true historical site. Amazing

Koubouratou IDJATON

I love the idea of this center. It's really useful and helpful when I visit the famous Golden Gate Bridge. They sell goodies about the Gate, even alcatraz goodies can be found there. They also sell differents kind of souvenirs, that you can offer your friends back home. Others things interesting is they have a Coffee shop and restaurant in front of the center but a little expensive than usual.

Siddhesh Deshpande

Great place. Not good during overcast weather

Shin T

You definitely visit there. I use Uber from Berkeley. Driver went through bridge. It was a wonderful experience.l during my trip. And You can get many goods of Golden Gate Bridge there.

realtrunks .

Nice place to view. Souvenirs there are overpriced. Get them from Chinatown instead.

Sumit Rawal

Iconic place... had a great time

Neeraj Singh

If you are in SF then coming to this place is must. Golden Gate Bridge View from here is amazing park and small trail is very good.

Deep Vadaliya

Astonishing view of a bridge, lovely angle for photographers. Parking is on the spot near visitor centre, spot humming birds in bushes if you can/lucky. Very crowded in summer

Art M.G.

It's the weather what makes me love it.

Simon JC

Touristy place... Parking is a headache... You could park in the slot next to the immediate parking and walk around and go to the top of welcome center!

Ankur P

Lively and beautiful place. The welcome center is a crowded place and they could improve the restaurant and facilities a little but beyond that, it's calm and beautiful. It feels good walking across the bridge itself (~40 mins) and also through the foliage to the fort below (20 mins) and then to Crissy field and the marina (1 hour).

Iris Iri

SO MUCH STUFF TO BUY AS A TOURIST! But a Park pamphlet for $2USD? I rather use Google Maps!

Cindy Doyle

Check another one off the bucket list. Some might say it's over rated. But I, quite frankly, was impressed. We could see Alcatraz from our vantage point. And as long as we were in California, might as well see as much as we could.

anil kumar

nice place to come and relax. Too crowded though which is expected. You can take a walk to the nearby beach and relax.

mariea harte

What a fantastic place to visit, was here with my daughter Kat to celebrate her 21st birthday. Well worth a visit

Nataly Kochetov

Visitor center with GGB view, you can eat, drink, charge your phone for free and get explanation about the Bridge and of course: take good fotoes of it:-))

Bob Zane

Stop in for a souvenir or just ask questions. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of great views of the bridge all around here.

Southammavong Productions

Very nice , they are cooperative , and we'll give you details.

Geoff Wilson

The main building itself felt more like a gift shop than a welcome centre, but that's pretty much expected. They still have a few unique displays and things to learn inside, but overall we went in only to get out of the rain haha.

Kiran M

What an amazing place to visit. You are lucky if its sunny and I am today. Love this place. Watching Pacific Ocean from golden gate, SFO city, Alcatraz Islamd is a feast for your eyes.

Arthur Naing Win Aung

We have been to both corner, first corner in night view and second corner in day view. Golden gate bridge was opened in May 27th, 1937. Nice place to take photos and selfie. Don't forgot to pay the fees in online if you passed through the bridge. Check out the photos.

Brian Van Valer

Be careful when you park. 4 cars broken into. Broad day light. Do not leave anything visible. Other than that, great place to take photos.

Eri van

Beautiful place to visit. The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate, the one-mile-wide strait connecting San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. One of the best places to see and photograph the Golden Gate Bridge is from the Golden Gate Overlook and Visitors Center.

Monica

This place was cool but the staff person I talked to gave me VERY wrong information. I was concerned about the height of the bridge but wanted to try to walk it. She told me to just stay to the inside and I’d be fine. WELL.... The inside of the path is the bike lane and you do NOT want to get in their way. They will completely scream at you. The bridge watchers will too. So the only option is to walk on the outside of the path which is right up against the edge. Needless to say I had to forego my hope of walking across. I think if I was allowed to stay a few feet from the edge I would have done better and been able to cross. I wish they’d do one side of the bridge pedestrians and one side bikes. Or give them each a different path instead of shared. If you find my review helpful be sure to ‘like’ it!

T L

Beautiful place to take scenic pictures and learn about the bridge.

Joe Ndekia

Historical spot displays of the Golden Gate Bridge. Affordable products on sale like souvenirs, books, apparels and image prints. I bought initial name keyholder and its one of the memories I have from San Francisco. Wheelchair accessible. Very limited parking.

Yashwanth gadiyar

Loved it. First day we went at 7.00 p.m. Mostly the place will be covered by clouds. Getting clear picture depends on the Sunny day. Afternoons will have little clear sky. This place is in everyone’s most wanted check list.

Ágnes Pelle

Nice centre. The view is amazing

Joanna Wong YJ

Turn out at exit 349 to avoid driving through the gate where toll is being charged. Make sure you have the fastrak if you going to pay for the toll, no cash. The picture taking point is very cold due to strong wind in December. There is a cafe there if you like to eat and drink. Public toilet is available too.

Jorge Sanchez

Very informative place to stop before hitting the bridge!

P Ram

Nice place & very windy & cold

Amanda Harley

Like this place...but got tagged with a $20 toll fine when coming southbound. Crazy charge.

Ming KANG

Beautiful but very foggy in summer! You can barely see the bridge in the fog

L A

Parking available. If you're headed north out of SF, stay to your right to not miss the turn off. It's before the tolls start and can be difficult to see or tell if it's the correct turn. Enjoy!

Fred Kurzweil

Very nice place. Nice views of the bridge and the bay. Very picturesque, but very crowded. The parking in their leaves a lot to be desired because the lot is too small.

Felix Daniel

Breathtaking place you have to be before time is up. When it is a clear day you can enjoy the view of the astonishing tension bridge in the world! Alcatraz can be seen from afar as well!

Prabhava Bhat

Park at Battery East parking lot. It's close to the visitor center and easy access to trails . If you park at visitor center there is too much traffic ..Average time at SF golden gate is 2-3 hrs . You can spend more if you prefer walking on the bridge end to end .

Ricardo Aguirre

What an amazing work of art! If you visit this place do it during Monday - Friday since the welcome center is closed on weekends and there is less people (tourist) there. Bring a jacket, it's cold after 5pm.

Vince Mulcahy

Arrive early because there will be a crowd! Long sleeve recommended due to wind, even on nice days. Golden Gate is iconic and a must see, well worth the easy drive out there.

Sam

Claudy there, have not much parking space. If someone like history stuff in memory, should visit there, that's a good one.

Camilla

It is a fantastic view to the Golden Gate Bridge where you can take amazing pictures. I will recommend you to walk by the water front and enjoy the view. It is also accessible by bike if you do not want to walk.

MANAL SLAMANI

One of the most beautiful places in the world! An amazing view

Peyton Doyle

Stunning bridge, spacious park with plenty of scenic viewpoints. Crawling with people, but still ample space to enjoy the sights.

paul samson

"you've never been to san francisco if you don't see the golden gate bridge"

Jeff Dur

Perfect place to uber to and start the walk across the bridge.

Maryia Arkhipava

It’s a really great spot to see the bridge and walk along bay line watching surfers and moving fog. If someone from different country or state comes to visit us and wants to see the Bridge - this spot is our first advice. The second one would be to go through the Golden Gate Bridge and enjoy the view from that side. * Btw, you have to know that fog is a very common thing here and it could happen that you won’t be able to see the Bridge because of the fog. His (fog’s) name is Karl and he has a Twitter account, so at least you can say hi to the most “loved” SF attraction. ** One more thing to keep in mind. Usually it is soooooo windy there that even if it’s 90℉ take a jacket and a scarf with you!

Dennis T

nice place to stop to get a great view of the golden gate bridge. the shop is nice. the only problem i had was the machine used to pay for parking had no information on much it costs. lots of people were confused and i think it added to unnecessary wait times in line.

kangmk 강면규

You can not say I've been to San francisco without visiting here..walk along the bridge and look down the ocean.. you won't regret !

Paul Pavlinovich

Great views and plenty to see. There are interpretive panels. Many areas are accessible. There are public facilities and bus stops.

holgerson

Good spot. No more words needed.

Greg Nalbandian

Great welcoming tourist are. Had a blast with my family, would visit again.

loui G

A popular and busy spot for everyone to take photos with the beige behind them! The great thing about this spot is there are serval different little locations for tourists to take their photos at different angles and distances. Just follow the paths and find a cool little spot to take your photos.

Charitha Saumya

Great viewpoint to see the bridge. Parking available. I used the public transit system to reach the place. Ideal time to see the bridge is when the sun is setting over the bridge. There is a conserved nature parks and trails around the area. Multiple viewing points are nearby in walking distance. Near to the beach it's windy so bring a jacket.

Searcy

So much fun biking across the the bridge. fun fact : its a 4 second drop to the water. Also it would feel like a semi truck slamming into a cement wall at 60 mph if you jump off!!!

Sam Gray

Good service and staff very helpful in advising where to look not just the bridge itself but the whole Presidio region.

Fernando Perez

Nice spot to take those typical pictures of the Golden Gate.

Sinderla Li

It’s a beautiful place to see the Bridge.

Derryl Moras

Parking is limited, so you gotta be patient. I would prefer an Uber or ride a bike to this point. If you plan to drive on the bridge, it is a toll road.

Geoffrey Mululu

Love the view of the bridge front this location

Cody McCullough

Cool place to visit, but parking can be tricky.

David Walsh

Uber here, get a hot coffee and watch the amazing views from the top of the hill

Matthew Leach

Great view of the bridge. You can sit in the car and watch the sea in a nice relaxing spot

Michael Agin

Lots of memorabilia reasonably priced. The site is one of classic photo angle locations of the bridge.

Louis Shannon

The welcome center was mostly a souvenir shop, but having a bus stop there made traveling to it very easy. There are some great photo spots and it is easy to find your way to walk the bridge.

Rubinia Saenz

Loved it, my husband and I walked from pier 39 all the way across the bridge.

Hamilton Cline

You're probably not the first person to find this off the beaten track location. But you might be the second. So take your photos and enjoy your unique view. You earned it.

Dennis G

Extremely busy on the day we went. Bridge was open to cyclists and pedestrians on one side only so was really congested. The suicide net structure is coming along nicely, but our Uber driver informed us that it was a stupid addition. To each their own I suppose.

Nicholas Naimo

Tourist trap 101. However if your going through its a must tourist trap stop at least once in your life. It gets super crowded after the early morning and parking can be a pain. Park farther away if you are planning to get there late and walk to it. Its a red bridge with a history not much more to say.

Tim Miller

Prepare for tons of people! And make sure to take a restroom break BEFORE you go. Lots of walking and having to dodge lot traffic. The views are awesome and it’s a great experience though.

יוני גרייבר

Absolutely breathtaking! We really had an amazing time walking beside the ocean. Sometimes there are crab fishermans over at the dock. Highly recomended.

Arthur Murden

me and my wife were on holiday in San Francisco in November 2018 we did not visit this centre in person but we did get to see the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge after seeing it on films and photos for a long time . it's not till your here in person and your seeing this really lovely beautiful thing for yourself me and my wife could not believe we were here I do hope we will return some time .

Andrea Villa

Beautiful view of one of the city's hallmarks

Roland Seh

This is a Visitor Center that is more like a shop selling Tees and Souvenirs. The rest rooms are diagonally opposite to the left of the Visitor Center. You can find out more about the Golden Gate bridge around the park that has good information areas. The Golden Gate Bridge is picturesque here. You can see Alcatraz from afar. There are bus services for Muni, Golden Gate Transit and Presido. You can take the Presido Go Free Shuttle from here to Presido Hill and then back to Downtown free on a Weekend. Check out the information at Presido Hill Transit. While waiting for the bus back down town, you can grab a sandwich and a cuppa.

LaKeshia Kimble

Great view of Golden Gate bridge. Parking can be limited.

Ravi Kant Sharma

A MUST, when you are in San Francisco and must be visited beforehand you cross over to the world famous Golden Gate Bridge, a land mark for US. If you are young and sturdy, take a walk FYI this place towards under and across the bridge. Views are fantastic and you feel this one the best engineering marvel of the world. Very informative and picturesque, it tells you details lay outs at different stages of construction and its beatification. A nice point for capturing the awesome views of bridge on its best angles and contours And Fort point side too!! Me and my better-half were here in September 2019 but the moments are still lingering!!!!

Anna Silverthorn

Very easy to find. Although I dont recommend trying to visit in an RV! Not too busy at the time. Big gift shop and great views of the bridge. Check times of the national park features though as the fort was closed when I went. Knowledgeable people there too.

Navigation all

We were worried it would be impossible to find parking but as soon as we showed up a couple of spaces opened up, so we pulled right in and paid for parking at the meter (remember your spot number so you don't have to walk back and forth). Really easy access to the paths and you can get right up onto the bridge walkway.

Julie Taeko

A great place to ask questions, warm up with hot chocolate or hot tea, and take pictures near by. On a warm sunny day, you can get fantastic pictures with the famous Golden Gate Bridge! I absolutely love visiting this area, and so does my mother.

Sravan Kumar Nuthalapati

First place I visited in USA. One of the great architectures in the world. Be aware while entering the bridge, once you crossed the bridge you have to pay toll fee. You can buy gifts and souvenirs at Golden Gate Visitor Center. If you went down from visitor center you can enjoy view from beach side.

Tracey Beaty

Absolutely amazing!! We drive a little ways past the Information center towards the beach. The views were spectacular. Unfortunately the dog hid the Golden Gate Bridge, but it was still worth it.!

Jake Kennah

Friendly and attentive staff that helped us without asking and seem to care about their facility and take care of their environment as well as customers.

Jay Jennings

Amazing piece of American history.

Andy FAN

It looks very grand and then a little scared to walk on the bridge.

liz lo

I had never been until the other day! The welcome center has a shop all things golden gate bridge related. Its always packed with tourists.

Lilyana Dimitrova

Easy to get to and good view of the bridge

Delphis Liu

Great souvenirs choice here and nice to learn more about the Golden Gate Bridge.

dan sui

Very informative outdoor exhibit. Nice souvenir shop. And the cafe as well.

James Xavier

View of Golden gates Bridge from here is the best you can get.

Melinda Record

Whether you're an out of town visitor or a local taking a walk, this is the place to visit to either browse or do some holiday or simple gift shopping. This Golden Gate Bridge Welcome Center has unique and special merchandise for everyone. I love this "store" because everything is basically one of a kind ~ either for yourself or that someone special. These are not ordinary souvenirs, but genuine, quality items each related to ALL the wonderful sights, sounds and landmarks of San Francisco. The staff here is terrific ~ very helpful, courteous and just plain nice. It's always a pleasure stopping in to this Welcome Center. Whether to just browse or pick up souvenirs and/or gifts, it's a great experience ... and all at the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge. This is a perfect spot to stop on any visit to the Golden Gate Bridge!

Andre Silva

Very Nice views. Wish they had more parking

Sara R

Parking lot was super tiny, better parking down around the corner.

Angelo Bellocco

Monumental. It's a great experience to walk on the bridge (not so much if you are afraid of heights)

Trin K P

Take the walk across the bridge. Beautiful trip.

Dave Cronkrite

Great spot from which to take photos of the bridge, and the bay. Nice little park, reasonable parking, food, gift shop, etc. Exit is a little confusing. Found myself going north across the bridge again. Had to turn around and go back across and incur toll. Well-kept, picturesque setting with educational signs and displays. Perfect place from which to take a San Francisco vacation selfie.

Dana Miller

Large selection of San Francisco souvenirs, including clothing, books, magnets, etc. They also show videos of the construction of the bridge, which are very interesting.

TJ T

For those who want to visit & walk across the bridge, this is the place to start. It does get crowded but heck, its a good place to start taking pics of the bridge from here Head up north from the centre & you get to the start point of the bridge where the walk across can take between 20-30mins to the far side of the bridge (Sausalito)

Mohamad Alhanon

It's amazing place to visit

Dave Barnett

I'm sure it would be great if I had the time to bother. I spent 30 minutes just waiting in traffic around this place. By the time we reached the lot, it was clearly swarming (though that was obvious by the parking lot of a road leading up to it). I decided I didn't need to see a bridge that badly and just left. If you're thinking "oh I'll just swing on by and look at the bridge" -- don't.

Peiying Yang

Always too crowded, but not enough seating. Coffee is just ok.

Raquel Kidwell

I'll recommend people not to park here there is literally not parking space. Down the road You'll find more parking space. The walking and the view are amazing I think is the best view of the golden bridge.

Doug Duff

Cool spot with lots of info about the bridge.

Abhinav Gupta

Beautiful view from the bridge. I'd advise walking or biking it

zpeedfreak Reno, NV

Nice but too many people.

Nick Chilson

Ultra crowded. Bathroom line unbelievable. Only reason its not a 1 is because they werent ultra dirty. Far far too few toilets. Plenty of room for a gift shop though, gotta make those sales amirite?

Phillip Ashcroft

Definitely stop here if you are in the area, especially before 8am. It was quiet and I didn't have to pay for parking quite yet. The view was breathtaking.

G-rar F'ce

Nice place. If you like pictures, you will have nice view of the bridge here #Letsguide

HASSAN SAMKARI

The view for the bridge is amazing I hope I stay there for ever.

Hanan Guessous

Its much bigger than i thought it would be. Be prepared for the long walk to cross it. You can use a bicycle but the lane closes around 5 or 6pm

Jonathan Carmichael

Great views of the bridge! It was pouring rain the day we went, but still amazing!

Victor Fernandez

Little busy for Monday noon but great view point!!

Belly G

If you're looking to walk or run across the Golden Gate, this would be your first stop. I took the bus here so I have no comment about the parking situation, but taking the bus to and from was pretty easy. When I arrived here, there was already a line for the bus leaving the Welcome Center, but there were also a couple of buses loading. After I was finished with my visit here and ready to leave, again, there was already a bus waiting to load people so waiting wasn't an issue for me. Inside the Welcome Center you can purchase merchandises related to the Golden Gate Park: pictures, posters, key chains, etc. Pretty much your typical tourist souvenirs. Around the Welcome Center, there are plenty of photo spots where you can take pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge from different angles. Obviously, there would be other people wanting to take selfies and pictures as well, so taking a picture without other people in the background could be a challenge but not impossible. There are also areas where they have a short history of the Golden Gate Bridge and the engineering involved in building the bridge. Pretty educational if you're into all that stuff. There's also a restaurant right across from the Welcome Center so if you get hungry, thirsty, or just looking for something to snack on, then you can stop by there. The restroom (in a separate building) was reasonably clean. At least the men's room was reasonably clean. Obviously I can't comment about the ladies room. I'll obviously be back here if I ever visit the Golden Gate Bridge again. Which I probably most definitely will.

Mel J

A tourist trap I know. But it certainly did the job. They know how to handle people from all over the world.

Leanne M

Very friendly people work here! I didn't spend too much time at the welcome center but I did stop at the gift shop portion of it and do some shopping. The workers are efficient and kind. They have plenty of great souvenirs to choose from!

Tracey Slade

IWeather a bit brisk and very fogger but it was a bucket list bridge walk. I've walked on bridges all over the world

Howard Moy

Beautiful but parking lot was full

Robert Yarnall

Had a great family run across the bridge representing Semper Fi Fund. Raising funds and awareness to support our wounded service members and their families! #Semperfifund

Bryan Foster

How can you not love it? Great view, pleasant walk. Interesting history of the bridge. Gift shop has lots of quality souvenirs. Of course it gets crowded.

gregory white

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Phone charging station. Muni and cross-bridge bus stops. Memorabilia not horribly overpriced.

Calvin Witt

Parking during the day is very tight and before 9 PM it is paid to park. At night it is less crowded but do keep all valuables hidden to be safe.

Warshani Wijeratne

Good place to take out of town visitors. There are many interesting fun facts about Golden Gate bridge. Lots of souvenirs available at the gift shop and there is a cafe. They accept cash, credit cards and phone pay. There might be a wait for restrooms. The whole area is well maintained

Mohammad Sahlabadi

go there early in the morning, it gets crowded fast. Tourist spot

Matthew Pham

A great facility with many souvenir options - one of the best I’ve visited anywhere in the world. The space is large and the shelf stock well-kept, though I did visit first thing in the morning on a rainy day when patronage was low. You can find everything from the usual keychains, stickers and books, but also bespoke and handcrafted items by local artists. Even if you don’t intend on purchasing anything, there is the original scale model - about 5m tall - of one of the bridge pylons on display which was used by engineers to help build the full-sized Golden Gate Bridge.

Mark Randel

This is one BUSY place. We lucked out and got a parking spot in a lot that is way too small for the kind of traffic they were getting. Bus after bus was coming through all filled with eager people to either see the bridge or cross it on foot. It was fun listening to all the languages. The store had some surprisingly good swag. I walked out with a nice pen, a schematic of the bridge and a couple of post cards. Worth the effort for the view alone.

Samuel Harry

I love the Golden Gate Bridge. The welcome centre is located directly on the end of the bridge. There is car parking available here and it is only a short walk until you are on the bridge itself. It also provides a fantastic place to take photos. The welcome centre is full of helpful staff and awesome mementos to remind you of your visit to this landmark. Highly recommended.

Leticia Cristina Daru Krieger

I didn’t like it because it was cloudy and could! In the summer!

Mike Lawver

Were you really in San Francisco if you don't post a filtered picture of yourself with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background on Instagram? I think not! Perfect spot for all of your Instagram liking needs.

Suresh Kumar Mukhiya

One of the best places to visit in the world. This masterpiece has been filmed in thousands of movies and it was great great experience to walk over it, stand on it and bike

Clean Up

If you are doing the Golden Gate bridge by open top shuttle bus dress warmly. We were lucky when we did it because there was no mist or fog. This area has it's own micro climate. If you get off the bus someone else my board and take your seat.If the bus is full you may have to wait 20 minutes or more. For the next one.

Mitesh Chaudhari

Amazing view of Golden Gate Bridge from welcome center.Good information about the bridge an gift shop located inside of center.

Hoang Dang

Beautiful area of the Golden Gate Bridge. It has a lot of things to do and see. Biking around and across the bridge is so much fun. Everyone need to at least make plans to visit this place. It is a bucket list thing to do in life. The great Beauty of America.

Kiran Alex Daniel

Excellent location to view Golden gate bridge

Mom

Breathtaking views and exhibits, costumer service not as good!

Kateryna Chorna

Very touristic but the view is amazing

Marcelo Borges

Beautiful place. There is a beautiful park and wonderful ecological trails overlooking the sea.

Mahmuda Khatun

SF love it here. Bridge is a must see. Iconic.

Henry Lai

Great design of the 20th Century. The same design is still using today. If you're driving to the Welcome Center, make sure you look at the right sign for exit and not end up going through the bridge.

Rhandi Martin

Beautiful lookout spot. You could definitely have a bit of lunch here if you could find a spot at the limited tables. The walk from here to Fort Point onto Palace of Fine Arts is simple beautiful and ultimately peaceful. I am an out-of-towner so I was unaware that races are held here, so you might run into an increased amount of runner traffic.

Tarcisus Ho

Got here by the public trains. Offers souvenirs and a $1 map of the golden gate. Also it’s a great refuge from the cold winds! The public bus alights directly at the golden gate welcome centre. However, if you wish to take a bus downtown, you may need to walk pass the underpass / tunnel and there may be buses there. Please note that there are weekend buses also which are catered to the tourist attractions.

Vovan Moses

Who ho ho! The bridge is definitely iconic and super good! It has only one foot in the water and from my understanding it's pretty deep water there. Its 2019 now and it still looks like high tech project. I can see how San Francisco catched the spirit of innovation and modern solutions, newest development desicions no wonder today it's a heart of the tech world. This bridge is "must see" if you visiting the city and it's much more to think about. Also I was lucky enough to see the surfing guys catching the wawes. + You can see the Alcatraz from there.

Kaye Gonzales

Very organized. Not a lot of parking thou.

Andrew Blank

Second visit to the Golden Gate Bridge. The first time we hiked across it. This time we walked. If you catch the weather right, it’s breathtaking. The Welcome Center has some nice memorabilia.

Saugat Pradhan

Iconic place, must visit when in San Francisco, not that hood when its cloudy.

Alex Vinogradov

best place to be, very good coffee sold in cafeteria.

Pranav Ranade

Very very Interesting for Tourists and (of course) Architects and Civil Engineers to understand Concepts, Structure details, History, Timeline about Golden Gate Bridge in Welcome Center. Also they displayed (Installed) Details (With Small Scales) of Cables, Frames, Structure Testing, Weather Climate Analysis Test well. VERY NICE Visitor Center! Good Concept

Rashad Gattis

Staff is friendly. The quality of the shirts and jackets are great. FYI, for tourists, they charge 10¢ per bag.

Josue Poncini

Great History, used to SF Military Base

astu bah

I love this place, it's so beautiful and natural

Alfredo Rosado

Everything is just so perfect
