We rented Southern Comfort the first week of June 2015. It was absolutely one of the loveliest houses we have ever stayed in at the beach. Plenty of room for everybody to spread out. A bathroom for each bedroom and a great laundry room. The kitchen was great for cooking for a large crew. It had everything we needed to prepare big meals. We spent a lot of time on the porches. The back porch looked out over the bay and the front porch looked out over the neighborhood tennis courts and pool. We had about a 2 block walk to the beach. We will definitely tell our friends to call Reed Real Estate to rent. Love the updated look too.

Rented with Reed Real Estate multiple times - my favorite beach is Fort Morgan! Peaceful and serene and Reed RE is most helpful and plenty of choices when looking for a place to stay. We've rented Seascape twice and last time, April 2011 was a week with the girlfriends (high school group from the class of '79)...had a wonderful time and everything we needed! They told us the house we paid $1658.41 to stay in for one week was ready for check in. When we got there at 4pm to check in, the house was filthy. One of the lady’s who checks to see if the houses are clean came in and walked through it. There was brown stuff all over the comforter and she said she could take it but we wouldn’t get it back for a few days. She said there might be some extra blankets in the closet. There was two small ones.

We chose Reed Realty based on a recommendation from a friend, and while her experience was a good one, ours was not. We stayed in the unit Happy Hours last week. The layout of this home was nice but the maintenance and cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The pictures online do not show the true condition of the property. 1) First and foremost, the unit was dirty. Large dust balls and candy wrappers under the beds and the furniture had not been dusted in quite some time. 2) Black mildew was clearly visible around the door leading to the deck, on the ceiling and around one light switch in the living room area. 3) The couch in the living room was dirty - sticky from candy and spills of some kind, not to mention that the cushions were well worn with the stuffing coming out. 4) The door leading to the deck from the family room would not close as the screws were stripped and broken off causing it to pull out of the door frame. 5) There were numerous broken tiles along the edge of the kitchen island where the stools were placed; all with sharp edges where someone could be cut. 6) There were numerous holes in the bedspread in the master bedroom. 7) The last two days of our stay, the light on the grinder pump started flashing and water would pool on the ground under our car – to the point that we could not park there the last night of our stay. Having arrived on Saturday, we had to wait until Monday to talk with anyone as the office is closed on Sunday. The woman I spoke to in the office took a few notes and said they would call and let us know who would be coming to check things out. We never received a call from anyone but they did send a maintenance man to adjust the door, and a cleaning lady (with one small rag and a broom) to wipe down some of the dust and sweep under the beds. Unfortunately, no one ever responded to the call we placed on Thursday regarding the pump and the water pooling under our car. We don’t ask much and don’t expect perfect. We vacation every year in Siesta Key, FL and have never had an experience like this. While Reed was easy to deal with when we wanted to rent, they took a very different attitude when dealing with complaints; no apology or refund was ever offered. Definitely not what I consider good customer service! Again, this could be a nice home if it were maintained and deep cleaned. Based on our experience I would definitely not recommend Reed Realty to anyone looking to vacation in the Fort Morgan area.

I left a lengthy review of our dealings with Reed on their website after staying at Happy Days in early July. However, they didn't have the common courtesy of posting it since it mainly contains negative comments about their business which makes we wonder how many other negative posts were withheld because they didn't like consumers letting their true comments come to light! Bottom line, the house was great except for a few issues during the week. The BIG issue was how Reed treated us from the beginning - typical sales people telling you what you want to hear but knowing that wasn't the case. House wasn't cleaned until 6 p.m., trash didn't get picked up so we had overflowing bins for three days - you can imagine the amount of trash that 22 people can accumulate in three days PLUS having the trash from the prior occupants. When we arrived at their office 15 minutes before actual checkin time, we were told by the redhead at the desk that the house was in the process of being cleaned and that it should be finished by 3 p.m. She wouldn't do anything with us until that time. This was told to everyone who came in the door - 3 p.m. was the magical hour that all houses would be finished being cleaned. Three o'clock came, we checked in and went directly to our house. No one had been there. Called Reed. Was told that Jennifer was on her way there and would be there within the next ten minutes. Thirty-five minutes later no Jennifer. Made another call to Reed. Was told this time that they had just seen Jennifer and that she would be there right away. Twenty minutes later Jennifer arrived with her crew - her two daughters - 10 and 13. I don't hold a grudge against Jennifer and her daughters. They were very apologetic and did a good job cleaning the house stating that there were several late checkouts that day which put them behind. If you read Reed's contract, late check outs are not permitted so I am not sure how this happen. Main point here is that Reed said nothing not them being behind - again, typical sales talk. To sum all this up, we had a good time with our family but didn't appreciate Reed's lack of consideration in telling us the truth. We paid good money for this rental ($8500) and felt their treatment was sub-par. The last straw is not posting our review of the property on their own website due to the negative comments left. Poor sports!

We had a great experience! My husband, three kids, and I came a spent a week at the beach. The beach house was nice and had all we needed to stay in and relax or get ready to go out and have fun. I would definitely recommend staying at a Reed Real Estate property.

This was our first time renting with Reed Real Estate and it was a wonderful experience. My husband's family decided on a family beach vacation to Fort Morgan, so I started researching places for us to all stay. When I found Tranquility East and West, I feel in love with it and it was absolutely perfect for the number of people we had. Reed Real Estate was very helpful in answering all of my questions and concerns I had with booking for so many people. They made it so easy on me. And Tranquility East and West did not disappoint when we got there. The house/duplex was absolutely amazing and my family members loved it also. It was a very memorable vacation for me and my family. We had the best time and I can't wait to go back again. We would definitely book with Reed Real Estate again.

In the 20 years Reed has been in business we have stayed with them 19 times, either alone or with our friend's family. From big fancy gulf front houses to little R & R "across the road" we have loved them all. We especially enjoyed bringing our dog Otis last November to join our family at Beach Music. Our most recent stay was the week of June 29-July 6 at Holly's Haven. Although second tier the view was great, the house was bright and airy, and there was plenty of room for us old folks and our son and daughter and their 3 children. Ft. Morgan is the best beach and Reed is the best on Ft. Morgan!

We recently stayed in the King House, the staff at Reed Real Estate were friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us before, during and after our stay. While in the house all minor issues were taken care of quickly, the home was clean and spacious. We will defintely stay with Reed Real Estate again, their cusotmer service is superior.

Horrible ! False advertising regarding beds. Only rented because it was supposed to be 1 queen/1 full (company has since updated webpage after confirming my complaint eas true). Both were full size and one had a crater at least 4-5 inches deep in middle which made it not useable. Floors were dirty. They didn't seem to care about complaint and were not too helpful with situation. This company does not provide any start up necessities so pack everything !! Worst vacation ever. In response to your follow up.... A partial refund? You call $100 a partial refund?? Not even close. Also you claim the homeowner would only authorize that amount? However, I was told by your managers that the partial refund came from your company (prior to even contacting owner) and that you have a call out to owner to see if she would give refund as well. So yet another discrepancy. Still waiting to hear about that follow up with owner. Cleaning supplies and food left out for guests safety? I never said anything about that except that the floors were dirty. Meaning cleaning crew did NOT clean floors as there was sand and dirt. As far as welcome pack, I did not receive nor was told about it. So again nothing was provided. I have called your company a few times and still awaiting to receive a call back. Also waiting for my (refundable) deposit back and (potential) refund from owner. False advertisment is bad business. People should get what they pay for. I understand you claim she made changes without your knowing but look at your website pictures. Nothing changed (except you listed beds as full upon confirming my complaint was true). The pictures are the exact same as what is there. 2 FULL beds. So yes, it was false advertising as I would have never rented this home. Nor do I recommend anyone renting. I will not be staying with your company again nor will ever recommend to anyone seeing as this is how you do business. I expect my refund(s) immediately. If you would like to discuss this further contact me as you have my information.

First time renting a house in Gulf Shores area. Previously stayed in condo's. Will definitely rent again from Reed's. Home was better than described on website. Email and phone conversions covered all concerns or questions. Very easy process overall. Had some water damage in rear bathroom of home and it was handled very professionally! No complaints at all. Very satisfied! Also, beach bum services are the way to go!

My family rented a home from Reed two years in a row. It was dirty year 1 and we excused it; we washed dishes and sheets and cleaned bathrooms ourselves and went on with our stay. The house layout and location was perfect for us so we returned to the same house year 2 and it was filthy. The amount of mold in all the showers was unacceptable. There was a busted window in a bunk bed bedroom, which I’d assume is designated for small children, that had some sort of black plastic over it as a fix. There were many things we noticed all week - hose reels falling off deck, the arm of the deck swing was broken, fixtures knocked off walls, toilet paper holders pulled out of walls, a wadded up mattress pad tossed haphazardly in the laundry closet, bedroom closet doors off hinges and just left propped inside, a sticky mess all over the kitchen counter by the trash can, hand, finger, and face prints on the windows ... none of which you would expect from a 5000 plus a week rental. This is not only a sign that Reed does not care about their renters but they obviously do not care about the owners and the properties they manage either. The fact that it went downhill so much in one year convinced us to avoid all Reed properties in the future and spread the word to our friends as well.

We took a 10 family vacation from 6-15-13 through 6-22-13. We stayed at La Bella Casa. The staff at Reed Real Estate went above and beyond making our stay heaven on earth. This was a Christmas present to our family, and the Staff of Reed was so helpful in choosing the right house for us! The house was perfect for 4 familites withing 1 family. The beach was right out our front door, the office right down the road, and the memories we made we will treasure forever. Two beautiful granddaughters loved loved loved our time together. This is a hard review to write because we want to give 5 stars for the house accommodations and location but the lack of cleanliness of the bathrooms alone made the overall experience less than expected. Check in could have been more efficient. Reed policy requires all renters to check in at the office. We waited in a crowd of other renters for them to tell each person the same speech which could have been posted somewhere in the home or emailed. It just wasn’t the best way to start a vacation after many hours of travel. Our rental was also not ready at check in time due to previous renters leaving late, although their policy clearly states check out is 11:00 a.m. NO EXCEPTIONS. Why didn’t someone go to the home and see that they left? We suffered the consequence of this policy not being enforced. The trash had not been set out by previous renters and both bins were overflowing. We knew this would then mean we would be passing on the same issue to the next renters because our trash would start piling up. We needed the extra pillows provided but there were no pillow cases; we called Reed and they had to check if they even had any. We said we needed 4 or 6 and they gave us 4. That evening we saw the showers had lots of mold so we ran out for shower cleaner and cleaned them ourselves. It was after hours by then but check in instructions state to let them know as soon as possible of any issues so we sent an email. We let them know about our trash overflow to see if it could possibly be picked up and we also requested they send someone out to clean the bathrooms but we never got a response during our whole stay. When we turned down the beds the first night we found what we thought were dirty sheets Although they turned out to just be stained, these sheets should have been thrown out; guests should not have to question if their sheets are dirty or stained. Because we washed sheets that night, we also found out the dryer was getting extremely hot but not drying. So we called Reed first thing Monday morning. They did send someone out to fix the dryer. After a rough first day, we started noticing small things here and there that we just felt like a management company should have taken care of such as toilet paper holders falling off the cabinets, hooks knocked off walls, etc. The house itself was spacious and accommodated our family perfectly. The owners are very friendly and they quickly addressed our issues after our stay we went to them but Reed management was no help and we will not rent from them again. We have been coming to the area for 10 years and stayed in various homes. We loved the location and recent updates to the home over the past two years but we will not rent another home managed by Reed.

My family has always loved the beach. After moving from Manhattan Beach, CA to Memphis, TN 25 years ago, a friend suggested we try Gulf Shores. So, for a couple of years my wife and I would rent various houses in the east end of Gulf Shores. Then as our children made their own lives, and our daughter's family relocating to the Nashville area, we decided to make it a family vacation and invited our son and daughter and their families. Unfortunately, trying to coordinate a date, there were no houses left that we liked. Then we discovered Reed Realty and Ward Bea Chel. We loved the house. So, for the last 10 or 11 years we have been staying at Ward Bea Chel. It's such a great house that suits us so well. Sitting on the deck it appears that we have the whole Gulf of Mexico to our selves. During the unfortunate oil spill, we decided to rent a house with a swimming pool. It was nice, but it wasn't home. We missed our house so much that we asked to have keys to look at it at least once that week. Reed was kind enough to let us do that. It was then that we discovered that the house has been remodeled and was now even better than before. The next year we couldn't wait to come back. Over those past 10, or so, years, new grandchildren have come along who will only know the happiness that Ward Bea Chel has given us. But, as new grandchildren come along, the others have gotten older. We just helped our oldest move into UT Knoxville. So the uncertainty of change is on the horizon. We've already reserved the house for the summer of 2014. Hopefully our family will once again be together at the house we love so much.

I am overly excited that I came across this amazing team on google!! I couldn't have asked for a better outcome from this power couple. Through my initial contact with Kelvin I knew they would get the job done and they did!! They were able to sell our home without us stepping foot in their office!! Being long distance I thought this process would be impossible but they have done it!! Both Kelvin and April's knowledge of real estate is impeccable and they walked us through the very lengthy process. They fought to the very end for us to get the sale and in a crunch went the extra mile to contract a lawn care company to ensure we passed the final walk through! Their lawyer group was just as amazing!! We can not thank them enough for their help!! We will always recommend them and use them in the future if we ever decide to move back to VA!!

I have been using Reed for the last 5 years to rent a house for our annual girls beach trip and 3 other trips to Fort Morgan. Will be down there in 4 weeks and just booked a 4 night stay over New Years for the second year. I have never had a bad experience. They have the most reasonably priced homes of all of the rental agencies on Fort Morgan and every house we've stayed in has been perfect. Have only had one issue that we had to call to have something fixed and they sent someone right away. We road out a tropical storm/depression two summers ago in September and they were good to check on us, letting us know to move our cars because of high tides, etc. The staff has always been cheerful and helpful! I won't use anyone else! Love Reed Real Estate!!!!

What a great experience we had! We stayed in Heritage Shores - Sundance mid-August and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! We were able to accommodate multi-families in the house. Two pools in the community made it very nice since we have small kids. The home owners, along with Reed RE, obviously know what they are doing to make it a great, memorable experience for the families visiting their property. It was a late/last minute trip that we decided to take and Reed made it very easy to get booked, checked-in and checked-out. There's no doubt in my mind that we'll be using Reed again in the future! I greatly appreciate all they do behind the scene to make it easy for those of us visiting and helping make it a real vacation! Thanks for everything and hope to see you again soon!!!

My family and I have been coming to Fort Morgan for 10 years now . We have stayed in 6 or 7 different houses and have always been satisfied. This trip was no exception, Sunny Daze was very nice, well worth the money .My only complaints were, no ESPN on satellite TV and even though they provided internet there was no wireless. Kids had to have their pads so I went and bought a wireless router to use during my stay. But overall we still had a very good stay.

This is a great area for a family vacation and the people at Reed are exceptional to work with and have great properties to rent. This is our second year and we will be back. We have rented houses with gulf front and it's heaven. Peaceful in the Fort Morgan area allows for lots of relaxation, but only a short drive to restaurants and shopping.

My family recently rented a beach home from Reed Realty. The charming beach house with the front porch was virtually steps from the beach. The 3 bedroom/2 bath cottage was the perfect size and the modern kitchen was great for cooking some of our own meals. The Reed Realty Company staff was very courteous, provided us with a pack of information and a free movie rental each evening. We will rent again from Reed Realty, since the staff was helpful, friendly and made the rental process / check-out easy.

Back in 2011 we rented Beach Dreams and let me tell you it was an absolute dream, beautiful home and beach!!! This year (2013) we rented Sandsong and again we were not disappointed! Every year for the past 3 years we have come to Gulf Shores or Fort Morgan for Labor Day. It is our annual trip with the whole family. The last two times we have stayed with Reed Realty in Fort Morgan. Last year we stayed in Kokomo and this year we stayed directly on the beach in Happiness Is. We really enjoyed the house on the beach. It was clean and easy access to the beach. We took along the pets and they loved being able to sit on the outside porch and watch us in the water. There was plenty of room for the whole family and the kitchen has a huge table for everyone to sit down and eat together. I definitely recommend staying with Reed Realty anytime you are looking for a great family vacation. Especially with the pets.

Our family went to Gulf Shore, Al. june 15th thru the 22nd of this year. Anyone who says Disney is the "happiest place in the world" has never been to the Gulf or rented from Reed Real Estate. Have you ever taken eleven people from ages 8 to 65 and tried to please all of them? IMPOSSIBLE! Even if it is Disney! Unless, you have taken them to Gulf Shore, Al. My family and I have went to the Gulf three summers now, and we always rent the Honey Dune from Reeds, which works perfect for us. Reeds has taken great care of us each time we have visited. Would never go anywhere else! The Gulf is beautiful and Reed's is great! We are returning again next summer. Thank you Reds for making the Gulf Shore "our happiest place on earth! Steve Biroschik

We have rented Plum Paradise for quite some time. The last few years we had been unable to go, but finally made it this past June. What a nice surprise to see all the improvements that had been made! From big things like the refinishing of the kitchen cabinets, a new couch - to the little things like the gooseneck for the shower and new shower curtain. We have always had a good experience here, and when the few times we needed assistance the service has been friendly and impeccable. Have to call out Bubba especially on this. He's alsways quick to respond, quick to fix, and very nice. The reservations and communications from the office are always easy and well thought out. I also appreciate the email with helpful hints and reminders prior to the stay. I would definitely recommend renting from Reed Real Estate!

Our extended family of 9 stayed the week of May 13-20, 2018 in THE BEACH HOUSE, our 3rd REED rental. We were so pleased about the weather and also being together with our 6 month old grandson, along with his great grandparents who were embarking on their first beach vacation! In theory all good, except after an hour in the home, a roach scrambled across the kitchen floor. We have been renting beach houses since 1987, we know beach houses have to fight this thing... Except THE BEACH HOUSE was infested with ROACHES & WATERBUGS they were in the kitchen, the cabinets, the bedrooms, the closets under beds, on Windows every room, every where day and NIGHT. Black mold was also present over the shower and over the dining room table due to water damage. The diningtable can light had water dripping through it when it rained. Reed REAL ESTATE however limped things along coming to spray twice with us having to vacate & dine out. After spraying in the kitchen cupboards directly, guess who had to empty the dishes and wash everything.. The GUESTS! Jill REED writes ... For your inconvenience, we'll refund one nite... No suitcases were allowed on the floor, all food was kept in oven, frig, microwave or car... The day before we left, all suitcases - remember 9 adults and all the baby stuff, were placed outside using the sun to prevent each of us taking the infestation home. We will choose in the future to do business with PROPERTY MANAGING PROFESSIONALS, who have a higher esteem of the GUEST who buy air tickets, rent autos, for their one week vacation. Real Estate Professionals who manage and maintain their properties more professionally. Just saying ~

We were very delighted with our stay at Sea Mist and Sea Spray. The houses were right beside each other and we had all our family that was able to enjoy visiting each other. We were right across the road from the beach and it was a very short walk. Houses were stocked appropriately and well furnished. If we are in the Fort Morgan area we would try and stay at these homes.

Been using Reed for years for our trips to the gulf coast and they have always had what we were looking for. We recently had an experience at one of their houses that was less than stellar and they came through for us on the response. So we continue to look at them first for our vacation trips.

Our family has been renting a house at the beach at Ft. Morgan for the last eight or nine years. Usually we stay at Dunpackin in Surf Side Shores, but this year we had a smaller crowd and decided to get a smaller house. We chose Casa Verdi on Boykin Court and just fell in love with it. I was afraid I wouldn't like it becasue it was further from the beach, but this house had views of the beach and the bay and was on the cutest street, with friendly neighbors and a family of foxes that kepy us entertained daily. The house was very homey and comfortable and has the most beautiful stained glass window in the den. The walk to the beach with all of our stuff was more than manageable and I enjoyed walking to the bay every morning for exercise. I love this house and hope we can make it back every year.

Was very disappointed with the cleanliness of the property as with the rudeness of the staff when I completed. The house was filthy floors not cleaned kitchen and bath rugs were dirty, house was not vacuumed as there was dirt and paper behind dryer and under rugs, oven and stove had not been cleaned and dirty dishes in dishwasher and on end tables in living room, fro until door and glass was very dirty. Ants in bath and kitchen! As a personal friend of owner, she was very upset as She is charged a cleaning fee as was I .This shows Me that this realtor company does not care about the owner or the client

We rented Tranquility East for the week of July 13-20. (Hurley) We have rented from Reed for the past 7 years, and it is always a pleasure. We especially appreciate the availability of pet-friendly properties, as we love bringing our "furry" children on vacation with us! Be sure you check your house for any issues before you unpack. We stayed in a home with a LOT OF MOLD!! There were a ton of other issues that made our stay really unpleasant as well but that review was done specifically on the home we stayed in. Also the check in process for a keyless entry property seemed outdated. I don't understand why you need to go to an office if there isn't a key. All the check in information/packet could be left at the home. I hope they update this process.

My parents celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in May 2013. I wanted to give them an opportunity to celebrate in style. I offered a cruise, a scenic train adventure, and many other exciting choices for their special celebration. After all of those choices, they said, "we would really like to go to the beach with our children and grandchildren and just be together!" I began my search for a house that was big enough to accommodate the entire brood as well as our 5 lb. Pomeranian, Savannah. Within an hour, I found the perfect property located off the beaten path on Ft. Morgan Road. The house was PERFECT! We had plenty of room, a pool, and our own "private" beach. I am not sure who enjoyed it more--my parents or the rest of us. I do know that it was the perfect place for such a special celebration. We had a great time in this house. From the time I spoke to the home owner to getting our keys. Everyone made our trip enjoyable. The pictures do not do the house justice. The room we had and the restroom between the a jointing rooms was perfect for us. Need more pics of the house. We will definitely stay again. We spent the past week at Serenity Shores. We have rented from Reed Real estate for several years now, and we are seeing that with each stay the houses are getting progressively more run down and unkept. This house was by far the dirtiest and most neglected house we have stayed in. We did appreciate the Weber grill, outdoor shower and lower deck. The kitchen was stocked well too. The laundry room was so awful that we wondered if our clothes were actually clean. There are some broken steps on the back steps. The upper deck and porch have several broken chairs and tables that were beyond using. The kitchen cabinets had doors coming off, backward doors on the refrigerator, and the dining room table was so sticky we couldn't even wipe it off. The first night, 2 very large roaches appeared in the kitchen. From the living room chairs you could see large chunks of food and junk under every coffee table (that wasn't from us). There is a vent on the hallway wall that was so dirty we aren't sure how it could even work. The main bathroom was okay but there is a leak in the shower faucets. We had to buy batteries for every TV remote and then figure out which remotes belonged to which Tv's because they were all mixed up. We were locked out of the house the first night because the door keypad didn't work. The master bath was disappointing to say the least. The vents were horribly dirty. The shower curtain was ripped, the shower head was so clogged it didn't diffuse the water well, and there was paint peeling in large chunks on both the ceiling and walls. The wall was so dusty it looked like you could shave it. The bed in the master bedroom was broken. We had to prop some books under the frame because there is hardware missing. Staff did respond quickly the first night when we were locked out of the house and they were very friendly. However, we plan to book with different realtors next visit.

Our family spent a week this June, checking out June 22, at a Reed Rental near Ft. Morgan and could not have been happier. The beach access of our ocean front rental was fantastic and the view from the porch was spectacular. We enjoyed watching the many dolphins swim along the coast everyday, and even encountered small family of rays swimming right up near the beach one day. The house itself was very well equipped and set up nicely to accommodate our family. The only suggestion I would have for improvement for most of the Reed Rental properties is that they install enclosed outside showers under the rental units. We are new to the gulf beaches and this does not seem to be common here, but having vacationed along the Atlantic coast where they are quite common it is a tremendous help, especially if you are vacationing with children, to have an enclosed outside shower to clean up in after coming up from the ocean.

We have rented beach homes from Reed Real Estate at least a dozen times over the last ten years. Each time we rented a house it was a wonderful memory making experience. The staff at Reed Real Estate are always ready to do whatever it takes to make the whole rental experience a smooth process. I have never had a reservation question that was not answered to my satisfaction. We have stayed at five different houses and each one was clean and well maintained. On different occassions we had a plumbing problem and an a/c problem upon arrival and both were taken care of within an hour. I can honestly say that most of our best family memories have been made at homes rented by Reed Real Estate. Recently I split a week rental with a friend of mine at our favorite house and she loved it so much that the week she got home she booked it for next summer. We stayed for the month of February in 2012 at Fort Fun West. It was all we could hope for. It is beautifully decorated and right on the beach. The home has everything you would need to cook, sleep and play! Reed was very attentive to all requests we had. A storm blew out the dish tv and they sent someone, right away. We will be back next year to stay again. Very good attention to this property!

It was reasonably priced and clean with a great beach front vibe and all the comforts of home. We stayed at Island Dreams East and encountered very unpleasant experiences in this house. The master bedroom/bathroom/closet quite literally reeked of what smelled like urine. Used a can of Febreze, left outside door open to air out - nothing helped. It was so bad that our suitcases had to be aired out when we returned home. Extra pillow in bedroom had splotches of bright red blood on it and closet had old wadded up blankets and linens. 4 of the desk chairs were broken - 2 collapsed when we were sitting on them. Outside the house the entry was littered with trash. Cabinets in kitchen were streaked and grimy. We complained and did receive 5 new deck chairs and they cleaned the black mold off of the return vents. View and beach were spectacular, house was a bio hazard.

My husband, daughter and I had our first opportunity to have a big family trip with my parents, brother and sister in law just last month. We chose to go to Gulf Shores and happened to find Reed Real Estate. I am so thankful we did because we loved the house, it was exactly as described. The kitchen was full of everything we needed to cook, to eat in most meals etc. The location was perfect and Reed Real Estate was wonderful to work with! We stayed in Seagull East and West - Fort Morgan, AL. It was three families. It was the first time we vacationed together. We had the best time. The house was great and the beach was fabulous. Love the feel that you are at home but just a short drive from all the local activities. Having the duplex was so great because we had two kitchens and washers/dryers. We had so much fun, we are already getting ready for next year. We stayed July 27 - August 3....wish I was back there right now sitting on the balcony and drinking my coffee.

My husband, Stan and I have always enjoyed vacations at the beach. Our beach trips have normally been in Panama City Beach, Destin or the Gulf Shores area. Early this summer I was able to retire and we decided to get away for a few days but did not want to travel too far and wanted a quieter area. Many friends recommended Fort Morgan so we gave it a try. We really enjoyed our fews days there and was very happy to be able to bring our pet! The home we rented was great and provided all the necessities for our stay. Our dealings with Reed Real Estate made the stay even better! I enjoyed my stay because I was by the ocean not because of the house. Was disturbed when I got there cause of the water buges in the house. I was told that was a normal thing by the ocean. Their was 4 or 5 dead on the floors around the house. Seen a live one later in the week in the kitchen. You would think they would have picked them up. We called and they said they would come down and never did. The blinds were torn up and the only trash can we had had a huge hole in the side. Beside the house was a fence that was down and under the sand so it had been messed up for a long time. Parts of the rusted fence were sticking out of the sand and could cause someone to get hurt if they step on them. Oh and none of the lights on the porch worked. There also was an old grill under the house on its side all rusted up. Think they should keep up with there rentals way better.

Office staff is fabulous. Houses are great. If there is a problem, Reed is on top of it. We've rented from Reed three years in a row with a slew of other people — 12 families last year, most rented from Reed. I've never heard a bad thing about them.

The people at Reed are awesome. The house/duplex I rented was par at best. Dirty, dried toothpaste in sinks, hairs, and the sliding doors onto the ocean front screened porch is a workout to open and close. The above review was from 2018, decided to give it another shot, this year's unit was, Shore is Nice II. It was anything but nice! After arriving at midnight all we wanted to do was watch a little T.V and get some sleep. Out of 6 rooms only one T.V. would work. Seems the DriecTV dish or card was causing them to have distorted screens. So, the next morning(Sunday) I was on the phone with them for over an hour. Since I have them at home and I thought I could get it resolved... I didn't. And it was opening day for the NFL! Then we decided to take showers and prepare for the day. All the sinks and tubs would not drain properly, so by the time you finished you had water up to your shin. Not wanting to deal with this all week, we decided to leave after one night. We had reserved the house for 1 week, so I'm out over 2 grand. Our experience was... Shore was Not Nice II.

We rent the King House and this was our 3rd summer and I think the best comment I can make about our stay came from our 5 year old grandson when we unlocked the door and he said "Finally we are back home again!" We all just laughed but agreed with him that it just feels like home to us now! We were booked from July 20th through July 27 but Reed was kind enough to let us know it was open on Friday July 19th and gave us a wonderful discount to come a day early...so we took them up on their kind offer and added another wonderful day at the beach to our vacation!

We stayed at Fort Morgan Beach in Alabama - Roll-n-Tide and it was an AWESOME experience! My family and I were there to "Celebrate Life" as I just finished a round of aggressive chemotherapy and radiation treatments. When diagnosed with breast cancer last July, I wasn't sure what I was going to do but I fought through the terrible disease and decided that when (not if) I got well enough to go to the beach, I was going to go. So I made plans that I would be good to go in one year so 2 months ago, we went to the beach. My three children, whom are 25, 23 and 19, along with my husband and their husband, boyfriend and girlfriend, all made it to the beach house that I so wanted to visit. The house was great and being right on the beach is what I always wanted to do. Reed Real Estate made it very easy for me to find a great house for all 8 of us and was very convenient to pick up and drop off the keys. I definitely want to go back to the beach and enjoy the peace and quiet and relaxation that we received. I had never stayed on the beach before and I enjoyed it so much. Thank you for fulfilling all of my expectations of staying right on the beach to celebrate life to the fullest !

The homes have all been clean and well maintained, only once did we have a problem (no cable) and they were there right away to fix it. We will definatly be back to Ft. Morgan and when we do, they will be who we call. Our last stay was in April of this year.

We rented one of their beach houses at gulf shores and it was pretty gross. When we brought the cleanliness issues to their attention, they told us house keeping doesn't have time to check every cabinet to see if the previous renters put things away clean. Yet in their policy and conditions it says these are things that required of you as a renter...so Im not sure how they hold up that policy if no one checks. The towels and bed linens were stained, no way to tell if they were actually clean. Anyway, we left the house nicer than when we arrived...so hopefully the next guests didn't have the same issues. When you pay over 3K for a rental you at least expect clean linens and dishes.

We rented "Dune it Well" on fort morgan beach and although the layout of the house was nice it definitely needed some updating in the bathrooms and bedrooms. BUT the main concern was that there was BLACK MOLD in all the vents and coming out around them. When we notified reed real estate they sent out a maintenance man who sprayed them with 409 and cleaned it up. We were offered to stay at another rental comparable to ours so we spent our first day at the beach real estate shopping and guess what? EVERY SINGLE place we looked at had this same mold. Please look up black mold and the effects on children and pregnant women. This is a health hazard and any condo or hotel would be shut down immediately for this.

Vacuum cleaner was so full I am pretty sure it could not have cleaned at all. I emptied it and used it.

I have been renting from Reed Real Estate for the past 8 years and highly recommend it. Each house has been unique and hold special memories with family and friends. Our last stay was on June 21st at Sea Story. Although not directly on the beach, it was only a short walk across the street plus we had ad great view of Mobile Bay. One of our favorite things to do was sit on the front deck at night and watch the fishing boats. What a great way to end our day. We've stayed at Sea Story at least once each year along with a few other homes. Its always nice to come into a home clean and fully stocked with everything you need to have a relaxing vacation.

I had never rented a house before for any vacation. Reed Real Estate made it extremely easy to do. Every time I called with a question, they were as nice as can be. We arrived after hours for check-in, but everything we needed was in an envelope with our name on it. The paperwork they gave was as clear and precise as it could be. The house was clean, and looked just like the pictures online. Check-out was easy too. I will definitely use them next time we vacation in Gulf Shores.

We have been renting homes with Reed Real Estate for almost 30 years. Lynn and Frank are some of the best people we have ever known. (however) This year was anything but pleasant or relaxing. We rented "The King House" memorial day week. Upon arrival we find a construction worker has removed the railing around the entire deck! We have six children and my 87 yr old mother with us. We then discover the entire house is filthy and in a state of disrepair. Under the home is a trailer load of debris and nails and screws and old decking covering the concrete and sand around the house. It was mid week before we could actually relax a bit after getting the home somewhat safe and liveable. The door opposite the beach looked as if someone had broken in and the deadbolt wouldn't lock. We paid over $3,200 to stay in the king house. To the owners: You should be ashamed of yourselves! You also owe us a refund! The photos of your home need to be updated. Not sure we will ever come back...

My family and I planned a week-long beach vacation and stayed at Reed Real Estate's O'Brien House in Gulf Shores. We were very disappointed in the condition the house was in. Blinds were broken in the master suite, leaving us unable to enjoy the view we paid for. The vertical blinds in the 2nd level seating area were in bad shape - slats were missing. Lights were burned out in several bathrooms and were very, very dusty. The shower head in one bathroom was missing completely and in another shower the head could not be adjusted and the water squirted OUT of the shower. The vacation home was very run down. We could have called about our concerns, but these were not quick fixes. AND .. the house should NEVER have been rented in that shape in the first place! Emails exchanged with Reed Real Estate consisted of "no one else has complained ..." They did refund us the price of the travel insurance we purchased, but nothing on the cost of the house. No need to enter me in any contest to win a free stay at one of their vacation homes. I won't be using their services again.

We rented Beach Dreams in Fort Morgan and was very disappointed! It was the dirtiest place I have ever rented. The floors were disgusting. Looked as if they had not been swept in months! There was sand, huge dust balls, dirt, shells, wrappers, twist ties, etc...everything on the floors, under the sofas, bed, chairs, tables, all furniture. There was cocoa spilled on the floor of the pantry. We brought our small dog which if he had found the cocoa would have been deadly or if he had eaten anything off the floor would have been a bad situation. I notified Reed Real Estate & sent pictures of the filth & was told because they remain booked all summer deep cleaning isn't done during that time. My response was sweeping is considered deep cleaning? Then was told they could send housekeeping. Why? They were supposedly there a couple hours before and hadn't cleaned. We spent about an hour and a half cleaning because we had to make sure our dog didn't get into anything dangerous. Was not offered any type of refund. Was barely offered an apology for the disgusting dirtiness of this place we were paying alot to rent. Also very difficult communicating with reed, never got emails when they said I would for anything; rental papers, payment, anything. Had to call numerous times to get things done. I also paid to have them deliver a cake and balloons to the location for my husband's birthday, a service they offer. The cake was not secured in the car so it fell and the cake was messed up. I was given a small discount for that but not enough considering it ruined a nice surprise and it was very expensive. The house was also dated, smelled, doors didn't lock or close correctly, the ac unit was very loud and located outside the master which made it very difficult to sleep with the noise. etc, etc in addition to it being completely filthy. Definitely the worst place I've ever rented and the worst rental company I've ever dealt with. They do not seem to care about their customers, only getting their money. We go to the beach every year but will never use reed again. Made what should have been a relaxing vacation very stressful.

We have seen our children married on your beaches, hunted for treasure from 'lost Pirate ships", ha, and celebrated the lives of loved ones on your beaches.
