This is a nice stop with lots of parking. The bathrooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. They had coloring activities for the kids. lots of great information that you would typically expect from a rest stop at an entry point to a state.

The main building is an Alabama welcome center with all the typical handouts and brochures. The restrooms were clean. They have 2 different bathrooms for men and women. One of each around the back of the main building and one of each inside. There are more parking spots available for cars and trucks than most of the other rest area stops around the area. Only downside for me was the vending machine situation. While they had the basic drinks and candy bars accounted for they did not have any machines with coffee, energy drinks or ice cream.

Alabama if this the first thing you want people coming from Florida to see, then no one will ever want to visit or stay here. The restrooms are nasty, outdated, dirty. The building is outdated and needs a total remodel or new building all together. You need to right across the state line to see the very first one you see when you come into Florida.

It's a brand new welcome center. Huge, lots of handicapped parking and regular parking. The drawbacks are that pets aren't allowed and you have to walk a little ways to get to the door and considering where you park you will have to walk a long way to get to the bathroom. So here's a helpful tip for new comers to the welcome center. Once you park in front of the building and you are looking at it the men's restroom is on the far left and the women's restroom is on the right.

Trucker Overnight Parking PROHIBITED! ALABAMA... You've Got to be Kidding. A Thursday night around 10:00p and I'm running low on Driving Hours. i was hoping that I'd find one spot, but as I entered the lot, the place looked like a Ghost Town. There were parking spaces Everywhere.. "Lucky Me" I thought until I saw the "OVERNIGHT PARKING PROHIBITED" sign. What the What? There were possibly 7 other trucks parked at the time and as I continued to think about taking an "Overnight Chance", 2 of them drove away.. Shortly after that... I drove away. ALABAMA... WHAT'S UP? 2 STARS because Your Policy SUCKS!

Super Friendly Welcome Station -- The trees were decorated with Mardi Gras ornaments. Evidently, Mobile AL is the birth place of Mardi Gras, not New Orleans. The workers were talkative, friendly, and informative.

A good and large rest area that has about 50 parking spaces for 18 wheelers and about 30 parking spaces fot cars.This place resembles a small town park with enough trees around and concrete tables and benches under their respective roof.The old restrooms a well kept with a mix of modern technology inside with wall mounted hand dryers and vending machines outside.Wheel chair access as with all public utilities.Maintenance was mowing the grass there when I got up.
