I had looking for a lot of places to get my degree evaluated. Spantran was an excellent place to get that done. My degree is from China and in order to get the evaluation I needed verification which they were able to do. They prepared the documents within 10-15 days, which I understand may be really long but verification in most cases may take longer than that. They were very efficient and credible. Definitely would recommend to my friends.

Why even put a phone number if nobody will pick up. Been calling since yesterday, called atleast 15 times. Hold music for 5 minutes then a prompt says “to call back at a later time”. The one time i did get connected with someone, here’s how the conversation went. “Thank you for calling spantran” and before i could respond, he ended the call. First two weeks I was only scanning my documents for them (3 times) but apparently they don't know WINDOWS 101!!! Span Tran was incompetent from beginning to end. They made errors, ignored my requests for re-evaluation, blew off my concerns, stated that they were the experts and knew what they were talking about when they clearly didn't and could not answer my patient explanations about what needed changing. They failed to apologize, put the phone down on me and generally bombed. Don't go near them!

I wished I had read other people’s (mostly bad) reviews before contacting Spantran. There is a reason for the poor rating of this company. I needed to get my degrees evaluated fairly quickly and I chose the 5 day evaluation service. However, Spantran requires that the documents are verified before they are evaluated. You can either ask your University to send the originals to Spantran, or ask Spantran to verify the documents for you for an additional $60 fee. Being in a hurry, I chose the latter option. After a couple of days (it was the weekend), Spantran sent me forms to complete to send to my University for the document verification. In other words, their way to verify your documents is to contact your University and wait for them to reply. This may take a day or a month. I raised this concern and asked whether they could evaluate the documents without verification. They answered by e-mail quickly, but they never really replied to my questions. Rather, they expressed THEIR concern because I was not cooperating. I felt like they were toying with me and that they were only after my money. I told them that I did not need their service anymore, and asked for a refund. They replied that it was not their policy to refund any cancellation. I called customer service and, despite the many menu options, I could talk to a real person (don’t be fooled into choosing “existing customer” from their menu, it won’t take you anywhere; instead you have to choose “new customer” so that they think you are willing to spend some money on their services). The real person told me that they could refund me, but that I could no longer use their service in the future - not me not anybody else on my behalf. They made me feel like I was doing something wrong. After being told that I was “very rude” for arguing with them, they sent me an e-mail saying that they could refund me only $150 out of $200, because I would lose anyway the $50 processing fee. When I replied that they never mentioned that on the phone, and that I wanted a full refund, again they did not answer my question and just repeated what was written in the previous e-mail. Eventually, I decided that it was not worth it arguing anymore and accepted the partial refund… and the ban from using their service again. Which is not a big deal because, after this experience, I will never use their service anyway! (I ended up choosing one of the many other evaluation companies out there)

Our overall experience with SpanTran was good. The evaluation and verification was completed in 5 day (I ordered 5-day rush service) and I am very happy about that. That is the good part. Meanwhile, my experience communicating with the office wasn't very good. The persons answering my calls and emails didn't provide specifics on the verification process leaving me very worried about whether SpanTran could complete verification on time until it finally went through. I hope SpanTran could be more transparent about their process and/or more courteous in answering my questions.

Very bad experience, i’m waiting 2 years now for my stuff to be evaluated. Got all the contact information for the school and have it to them. When I returned 2 yeas after the girl at the front is now saying that they lost it. 4 months ago I gave it to them again and even filled out additional forms. Every time call in it’s the same response “waiting for evaluation specialist” and the dude name David always seems LOST. My life is on pause right now as i’m waiting for my evaluation to apply for a job. Spantran needs to be aware that people’s lives depend on their services. My question is are they not doing their jobs.

The worst experience for an international student to go through. My boyfriend translated his transcripts with specific instructions that were verified by an employee, but when he got his documents back they had copy and pasted what he had already translated. They did not do any work and promised a service they did not fulfill. In other words the company charged him $400 to copy and paste his words onto their paper. If you choose to use this service, proceed with caution.

I had really bad experience with this firm. I came to drop copy of my marriage certificate. The lady in front said I need to wait thirty minutes to drop copy. I said “what a wonderful service”, and guy who works there Jeffrey said “ the door that way, if you don’t like service”, I said “how do you talk to customers”, he was really rude, then the girl said I can email it, I asked “ok can you give email”, she said I need to wait to get email thirty minutes. Really? We pay 285 $ for this kind of service. I will make sure to tell everyone don’t use services of that office and talk to manager. Because employers like Jeffrey make lose customers with that kind of attitude!

Highly recommended and extremely impressed with how fast and efficiently they completed the NACES evaluation process for my daughter's high-school equivalency. I did intentionally pay extra for a 2-days rush option in addition to a verification option (to avoid delays of sending documents through slower mail methods) as I was in desperate need to meet the fall deadline for her college admissions and they finished the job in less than a day (how can I not be thankful and impressed?). All the other companies I looked at, with their rush options, would've taken a minimum of a week to receive the documents and complete the process. Thank you!

I have used this company twice. First time, about 8 years ago, there was no problem, except for the price. Evaluation was a fair price, translations were very expensive, plus a verification fee. Get your translations from somewhere else and you will be saving a couple of hundreds. Second time was really bad. I asked for a copy of same evaluation, they told me copy was old and I have to request a new service. I asked what kind of service was the right for me and explained my needs. I asked for a quote for a General plus Standard Course Analysis. I sent an electronic copy of the same evaluation they did some years ago. It was the same kind of evaluation that I was requesting now. Basically they have to rewrite it and that’s it. Before submitting, I checked the price and extras with them. Knowing this I submitted my application. Later, I received an email telling me that translation fees were needed, 300 dls. Translations for the same documents and service they provided before, to make an evaluation they have already done. I told them I was not informed about this fee. Remember that I checked with them price and type of evaluation, again, an evaluation they have already done. I requested to cancel the service. After some emails were they told me refunds were no offered, they agreed on a partial refund (better than nothing). At this point, I was still cool about this. Later, I got translations from an online website (good quality, quick and fair price). Now with translations in hand, I started again the process. I looked on the information and still had some questions. I filled out the online form on website and as a response I got an email telling me that because they issued a refund for a previous evaluation (their mistake), they cannot assist me any further per company policy. What does this mean? I they make a mistake; they don’t want to deal with you anymore? Bottom line: I do NOT recommend Spantran. Use at your own risk.

While most of evaluation companies insist of sending them original transcript, basically I cannot just send them my official PhD degree. What if they loose it?? So I found Spantran that provide me "verification service" that waives me from sending my original degree. Save my time, money and works excellent! I had a terrible experience with this company. Their customer service is awful and lacks professional courtesy that you are used to see in America. It reminded me of dealing with a bureaucratic office in a 3rd world country or the old post office where we used to get the worst customer service. I paid for a 5-day expedited delivery service on May 15th, on May 24th I got the report which was awfully incorrect. There were 5 classes that were reported "in progress" because the transcripts were requested in the middle of the semester therefore no grades were reported by the university but Spantran translated all those 5 classes as FAILED which dragged down a 3.4 GPA to 1.9!!! Apparently there is no quality control in their company. I called them to report the problem they said I would have to email them which I did on May 25th. I emailed again on May 29th and today, still waiting for the corrected report. When I called this morning the lady who answered the call said she would have a manager call me soon but no one called. I called again 4:30PM she was gone for the day and a guy answered. I explained the situation but he didn't let me finish he was rude and lacked professional courtesy. Kept saying you have to wait you have to wait and just email us and wait. I requested to speak with a supervisor he said he did not have a supervisor. Finally he told me that the person who evaluated my report is on vacation. How is that my problem??? I have a deadline tomorrow and I paid for a 5-day expedited delivery 15 days ago. Your report has an obvious error. Why can't you get someone else to review and correct it? Why do I have to wait for the person on vacation to come back??? What a terrible customer service / disservice. I wish I had not contacted this company. There are so many other companies, don't waste your time and money on Spantran.

They give me an incorrect evaluation but did not try to correct it. Also, I asked the refund due to this issue, they refused. They put D to 5 of my classes instead of B. they said the transcript is unclear but I submitted my official transcript in their office and they use their scanner to scan my transcript. I asked them to make a revision of my grade and they charge me $50 to revise my grade. I have to pay for their mistake. Unbelievable. Then after I paid for $50 and waited for 3 weeks, they sent the new revision of my transcript and guess what, they still missed to change one of my class. its still D. I emailed them back, didn't get any response for a week so I called to the Houston office. The person who answer the phone was so rude. It's a guy and was so impatient and seems doesn't want to help at all. I know he is the guy that I talked to when I visit the Houston office. They did not review my transcript accurately, when I asked for a re-evaluation, they said it would take 1-2 business days. It has been 7 days now. I called to check on the status, because the deadline of application for the school I am applying is almost passed by, and the representative on the phone said he cannot give a time. Eventually, he put me on hold although I specifically asked him not to saying "I need to calm down", because I was asking for a deadline. It is like he hang up the phone on me. Very disappointing and very poor service

I recently used SpanTran after moving to the United States from Ireland, and was delighted with their service. I initially was drawn to there service, as they are a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES), which was a stipulation of my prospective employer. However what set them above the other (~18) NACES members, was the ease of use of their application process, clear requirements and the clarity/professionalism of the sample reports they previewed on the website, to name a few. The Evaluation Team at SpanTran completed the report on time and included my BSc, MSc and PhD all in one clear succinct report, and a separate report for the translation of my diplomas from Latin to English. I have since recommended their services to others including my wife who is currently having an evaluation completed by them.

I’m having to many problems with this company because they are waiting a answer from a public university in Brazil? What if the institution never replies ? This is a public university in Brazil and it is very bureaucratic and they could never reply or take months to do so. We can’t be dependent on that. How long we will have to wait ? Be careful in having your transcript evaluated. They can only keep your records for 5 years. After that period, you will have to apply again for evaluation. Having said that, you’ll have to pay the exorbitant amount to evaluate your same papers they did 5 years ago! Ridiculous!

They started off with some technical problems that were a little bit frustrating. For some reason their email system could not identify or accept the IP address from the foreign university. After 3 unsuccessful attempts I was able to convince them that they had a problem, which they investigated an acknowledged. At that point they put everything on a priority basis and we got the service that we were expecting and they finished only 1 or 2 days late. I aplied online and they took my money the same day but they have not send me even one email with aplication confirmation or status or information....nothing. Careful! ScamTran! I had the worst experience with a service. They offer to pay you 170$ for evaluation, however, they force you to pay 60$ more to verify the information about diploma. And then they insist to pay for the translation extra $85. In my case, I didn't have to translate because all my documents are already in English. When I asked the representative why do I have to overpay an extra for the service that already has been done, she told me "You have something missing". Then I asked her to clarify the word "something", she said "You need a certified translation". Period. Think before go. There are many others who treat you with respect. Eventually, I cancelled their service which costed me 50$.

The most awesome diploma evaluation company. My husband had to urgently evaluate a diploma in order to get a job, and he submitted an online application on the Spantran website for an evaluation of a diploma from Ukraine in early January 2019, paying the company about $ 300. The Spantran company asked that they send an e-mail from the university’s e-mail from Kiev with a document confirming that my husband was studying there at the university with a start and end date. More than 5 times letters were sent from the university confirming my husband’s education information. Spantran has never received a letter, letters do not reach this company. When they call them on the phone, they say they do not know why there are no letters, the managers are not trained and do not want to help solve the situation. Once we phoned and took the phone a less-trained manager who wanted to help find at least something, he began to check and search for letters from the university and found a fax document with my husband’s last name, he said that this could help resolve the issue and need to wait until tomorrow but the next day they decided nothing. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND ALL DO NOT WORK WITH THIS FIRM, THEIR MANAGERS ARE NOT TRAINED IN COMMUNICATION WITH CUSTOMERS, THEM TO SPLASH ON YOUR TIME AND YOU !!!! We are very sorry to have addressed them.

this is a terrible company. On the certificate itself, the name of the universities is indicated, it is not true for almost a month they corrected and done disgustingly. The translation of my diploma into English was carried out with an error; my name is incorrect, I can not use this before at all. I’ve been in correspondence for a month now, but they can’t correct my name. For one sheet of translation 100 dollars. And this sheet is with a name error. I tell them to use the documents that referred you, and in response - "we think your name is spelled differently" - is this serious?

It was a bad experience. 1. Mistakes were done, which was finally corrected after weeks of my pointing out and sending multiple reminders through email and phone calls. 2. Updated hard copy was never received for the corrected version. 3. My Under-graduate degree had two sections - Separate for the major (Honors papers) and Minor (Subsidiary) papers. Passing and evaluation criteria were different for both the categories. However, in the evaluation all the courses were merged together. Even after several requests and follow ups giving the valid reasons, updates were denied. When such a separation exists, it is obvious that the students will focus on the Majors. I have to find another company to evaluate it based on my Degree structure.

It never happened. - They never send you the status of your case, so you don't know if it's pending or if some documents are missing, - You can't call, all your questions have to be send by email, and they never answer. - The evaluation I received was pretty poor . My advice: 1- Ask a lawyer (even if he is not yours, even just a contact) to give you the contact of a GOOD evaluator 2- If you do it by your own, choose an evaluator with a status tracker and who has a refund policy. At Spantran, all fees are non-refundable. SpanTran does not allow for cancellation once services are initiated.

It was definitely worst choice to use this company. They lost a verification form I sent to them and they never contact me to ask the miss document until I contacted them to ask the status of my case. It took almost 40 days to finish my case. The most bad thing is they did not response to me when I sent a email to them. I even had to call them and ask my translation of my degree which I spent $200 on ti. Some people in the Spantran company really do not want to work.

Not efficient at all, I feel they have stolen me. I paid for 5 business days evaluation which I received in 8 and wrong. When I called to understand what is going on, the guy who answered was rude and disrespectful saying that maybe I was a visual learning because I couldn't understand by phone that they have a procedure to correct the evaluation that it would take a "few" business days MORE to correct their mistake. In addition, I haven't received the verification for which I paid $120 more. Very disappointing service.

Overall I would say SpanTran service is good. I received my evaluation on time, even when they had not finished my education verification. Their policy is to release the evaluation before the education verification is done if they believe there is no fraudulent, this is good. The price is fairly good, if comparing to some other services, their price is more reasonable. One plus point is that they do not ask for your original diploma copies. They would do the education verification with a charge of $60, which was fine by me and it saved me time.

I have a National Senior Certificate from South Africa. So luckily I did not have to get it translated. Very impressed with the turn around time

So here's my story people! I drove there at the office, filled out a form, paid $200 and the lady was very nice and all that. She mentioned that in 10 days I will have a copy of my evaluations and a copy will be sent to the college I applied. So today, (10 days after) I called and guess what? My papers are not ready yet. Y'all can't expect people to read your mind or guess what's is going on. If there's an issue, YOUR JOB is to call that person, or email him and explain the situation. Not Wait till he calls and find out that he paid his money and expects services that you can't provide!

I used Span Tran back in 2016 to evaluate my UK Bachelors degree, I applied for the teaching evaluation as I plan to teach in the US. This year I opted to use Span Tran again to evaluate my UK post grad teaching certificate. Both reports were thorough and professional and contained what was required. The service I received mostly via email was of the utmost professionalism and very clear as to the next steps. I give one star only because I cant give 0. Terrible customer service. The lady on the front desk never know what is going on, seems bored and just trying to refer you to somebody else. Over the phone conversations with her are even worse. She is basically rude. After 2 weeks finally got my evaluation ( instead of 5 business days rush service) and just because I provided the papers that they had to prepare themselves. At least I was reimbursed with the money payed for rush service. So do not use their services. All these 1 star reviews on google and facebook speak for themselves.

I'm going to give them 5 star review, since they were really fast with the evaluation. I payed a bit more to get this done fast, but they really surprised me. Of course, I saw that they made some minor mistakes, but overall, they did what they were asked to do. Their job is to check whether you have everything by the book, and how that matches to US higher education system. That is all. Some people expected more, but don't expect miracles from an evaluation agency. Oh, and I did general analysis for employment purposes.

They asked me after i paid all money for me to contact the university back home and ask them to call them or email them and confirm that i was study in there. Overall the service is bad! Waiting time is long and services are expensive. Every time you call to have a follow up, there is no transparency on your case status. How do you expire files in five years? It means after five years if you want a copy from them you have start all over again. It means pay what you have paid before! But don't you have to submit the same document you submitted before? How does this make sense? Do your research before choosing a company. I would much prefer a non-profit company for service.

Since August 21, 2019. I gave them $225.00 for evaluation, translation.After one month I called them. They said that, "they are waiting for the Haiti government to verify. I call every day, they kept telling me the same thing. Even though they know it is for employment. Finally, I found a place that did it for me the same day I called them. Spantran, is a scam with the complicity of the State and local government. Believe me, they will not stay in this business for too long.

I do not know why someone will give them a bad review. My younger brother got his high school evaluation from them and recommended them to me. Their service is really fast and reliable. A real person is writing you an email. If you find problem in your evaluation or change something, contact them! They are always ready to help you. My brother got his high school degrees evaluated for course analysis in 5 days instead of 15. On the other side, I got my university degree evaluated for divisional course analysis in almost 20 days. Sometime it takes time, so please be patient because in the end you will be happy with the service. Unlike other evaluation companies, they give you an option to select their verification service which is great if your documents are real because some state boards take months to reply! (Our degrees were from Pakistan)

I give it one star because of the misleading information and the untruthful services on their website. 1.The way they calculate GPA is the same as ECE. They will mislead you on the website. 2.You need to pay the full price no matter how many files you prepared for them. They have a way to charge you in the middle of evaluation process. They will tell you to pay something in the middle of the process otherwise they need to suspend your case. 3.It is slow and irresponsible for me. You need to call them several times after you pay all the fee. 4.charge a lot, not worthy. Don’t get fooled by the description of GPA calculation on their website. They hide it and refuse to talk about it in the email. It s obvious that they want to fool customers who give ST their hope to get a more impartial GPA. The whole process is not transparent.

I had my evaluation done for a research stint. The evaluation process itself was quick but the credential verification part took a while due to some communication delays. I suggest having the documents sent by the school instead to skip verification if you need expedited services. I, however, appreciate the staff who answered questions over the phone. They were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend SpanTran for your credential evaluation needs.

I used Spantran and they screwed me over. They were expensive, inaccurate and slow. WES were accurate, fast, much cheaper and actually allowed me to pursue an MBA with my 3-year European bachelor's degree. Spantran only looks at hours and when I contacted them their customer service person basically sent me to hell. Don't use them, use WES.

They did an unbelievably bad translation full of mistakes and took a long time to correct it. Extremely unprofessional. They even left parts of the document without translation. They made unacceptable errors that no professional translator would make. Clearly, they used Google Translator and didn't even bother to revise their final work.
