My mother had a horrible experience with one of the Acipio interpreters while getting a mammogram at Baptist Health on 7/6/17. The interpreter was rude, was always on her cellphone and didn't even offer to help her filling out paperwork. During the whole session The interpreter's voice tone was very taut. Unfortunately, my mother tried to Contact Acipio to file a complaint via email and voicemail and no one ever got back to her. It's very frustrating not being able to communicate with your healthcare provider and even worse when the person who's there to help you communicate doesn't even want to be there and has a offensive demeanor.

Honestly I don't know how this agency still in business!!! My wife used to work here and Doug Reed, the owner, lacks work ethic, cultural sensitivity, professionalism, respect and quality! He treats interpreters like TRASH!!! Because all his independent contractor interpreters are imigrants, he purposely don't give them a contract, leave out information about how and when they will be paid. There are just too many interpreters that have quit or have been misled by this guy! He claims he is a corporate member of International Medical Interpreter Association when in reality he is not!! He gives interpreters NO CONTRACT, NO TRAINING, he PAYS THEM LATE, and offer the LOWEST RATE per hour compared to any other agency in Lexington. SERIOUSLY, why do you want to contract an interpreter from an agency that mistreat interpreters, pay them less and perform no language test before contract them???? Yes, anybody can claim they speak a language here because the owner is too cheap to pay for language exams! Some of his interpreters don't even have an Medical Interpreter certification required to do the job!!! If you are looking for quality, respect and work ethic contract another agency because you definitely won't find this here!!!
