DESCRIPTION

You will see the information of real people who purchased the services of ALTA Language Services (Translator) in the state of Georgia.

As of day the business has a score of 4.3 over 5 and this rating is based on 18 reviews.

As you can see the average score it has is quite high, and it's founded on a very high number of reviews, so we may conclude that the score is quite faithful. If many people have bothered to value when they've done well with the business, it works.

You know that we do not usually bother to place evaluations when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...

I am native speaker & writer. The reading test is "very long" compare the time given and the fonts/space are too small. They should look into reviews and correct the problems. Always, there a room for improvement.

My experience with ALTA learning services have been extremely positive from beginning to end. They were always available during business hours and their response rate was very quick. I was more than pleased with the service, and I would recommend the service to anyone. ALTA, thank you for having given me the opportunity to use your service. May your work continue to help those in need of language services.

For 30+ years I have been teaching - lecturing - course writing - examining - interpreting - translating etc. in foreign languages. I had to do one of their tests this week to get a translation job, and they marked me as mediocre, but will not show me why they marked me thus.

I totally recommend the online Breaking Boundaries in Healthcare course. It is worth the money and the effort. From the very beginning it was good to know there were payment plans available. I didn’t need to use any at the moment but it gives you a peace of mind to know you can take the course without suddenly affecting your finances. I love the flexibility of the program. With the self-paced mode I managed to successfully complete the course without putting aside my usual duties. The course offers a comprehensive source of training and studying materials. I’d say the trainers are the highlight of the course. Always caring and willing to assist! It was great to have live coaching twice a week. Furthermore, the individual OPI coaching takes it to a higher level, considering the final exam was to be made over the phone. I could not be happier with it!

I definitely recommend the course. I did the online course and Stephanie (instructor) is amazing! I wish I would have taken advantage of more office hours (live course review, Q&A held 2x week). Each one I participated in was very valuable to my progress and education. The course is well structured and ALTA is very responsive to your needs. The oral exam is challenging but as long as you do your course work and use the materials provided, you will succeed. I feel that it is a great stepping stone in preparation for the CCHI exam. Choosing ALTA for your interpretation training is a great choice!

I've worked with ALTA for over 10 years and have always been impressed with their service. We use them to test both written and oral English, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Tagalog, French, German, Dutch, Italian and Spanish language skills and the results are delivered consistently and with amazing promptness. The protocols they use to evaluate our candidates are the best in the business and I've never had cause to question an assessment. Highly recommended - I've sourced the market and you won't find a better provider!

I have my degree in two Romance languages. I've also lived abroad in countries that speak the languages, and I have even taught for 3 years. Needless to say, I've taken dozens of proficiency exams for several academically accredited institutions, and passed them (I had to to or else I wouldn't have been permitted to attend university if France, Spain, or Mexico). However, the exams proctored by this company are absolutely ridiculous, to say the least. The questions are completely random and have nothing to do with reality, one's life, or one's profession. I work in the travel industry, yet they asked me questions like: Why does the yellow bird sing? Why do people use spoons? Describe your kitchen stove in detail. These are ACTUAL "questions" they asked me! And if your answer isn't at least two full paragraphs, they ask you to elaborate further! HOW MUCH CAN I REALLY TALK ABOUT A SPOON? I still don't understand why my company uses ALTA. I know so many NATIVE speakers who cannot pass these exams. How is it possible to FAIL an exam that tests one's ability to speak the language they have spoken and been educated in for their ENTIRE LIFE??? There is something very wrong with this language company's methods. I would NEVER recommend them! They are a disgrace to the language education community.

Unprofessional Linguistic Company. I am Native level: Speaking , Writing and reading Linguist, I was teaching student in University and they scored my level low. Disappointed I dont recommend this company to any Agencies. They must be closed Let Inform the Government Agencies They do not know Languages

I’m very happy with training provided by ALTA language services. I heard about ALTA from a friend who took the online 40-hour course. She raved about the company’s quality and customer service. At the time, I was debating between Bridging the Gap and ALTA’s Breaking Boundaries in Healthcare. In the end, I signed up for ALTA’s in-person Atlanta classroom course. I’m SO glad that I did. The company staff did a wonderful job by making us feel comfortable and our lead trainer provided very useful information based on her experiences. Also, my interpretation coach was amazing. She made sure I was prepared for my exams!

Monika Eminovska

Very professional

It seems like the only poor ratings are from the people who couldn't get a job. The clients seem to be very happy. I'm one of them. They answer the phone. Quotes come in hours. Jobs are completed quickly and accurately. AND, they can cope with things that need to be transcribed, like text embedded in photos. In short, they make a very complex job look easy. I would absolutely recommend this company.

ALTA Language Services was a great place to study and learn how to be a Medical Interpreter for me. The morning class was very beneficial because we learned about the different body systems and how they worked. Everybody that works there is very kind and helpful. In the afternoon class, we actually practiced with the art of interpreting with a personal coach. It was very beneficial for me to learn how the test was going to be and how to practice for it. The class is at a good challenging level and if one works hard in this class, they can have great success on the final exams and become a trained Interpreter.

This company is personable and they answer questions when I, as the proctor, was in a panic. Be certain to get your time zones straight so you don't get charged for a missed speaking exam. All else is wonderful! I've appreciated working with them.
