David and his staff are just wonderful and are good at what they do. We started taking Spanish classes back during the summer after a return trip from Spain. Our family made it a mission to learn Spanish when we returned and The Language School have given us the tools thus far to at least engage and communicate effectively with native Spanish speakers. We are not finished learning by a long shot but the Language School and our instructor Pedro has opened the doors to a whole new world, I highly recommend them!

I've been attending The Language School for about 6 months now and I couldn't be more pleased! I've tried to learn Spanish on my own several times but always ended up quitting after a short time. Private lessons have helped me to learn more quickly and focus on the topics that have been most important to me. I stopped by this school this morning only to find out that Dave the owner of the school doesnt know how to appropriaetly associate and treat customers. I started to ask questions that anyone looking for a good school would do such as , how capable are thier teachers,how many year he was in business etc. And told me that if i was so skeptical then to not enroll in any classes. I didn't know that to ask questions was to be skeptical. So this is why i rate the school so poorly because of the unprofessional way he acted.

Going into the Language School, I had taken three years of high school Spanish and two quarters of university-level Spanish without ever feeling confident about my speaking and grammar skills. Since I began studying Spanish at the Language School, I can genuinely say that my confidence in my ability to speak Spanish properly has improved drastically. Not only have my skills improved, I enjoy going to class and look forward to each lesson. I definitely have a long way to go but I know that I am at the right place to reach my goal of full fluency. The Language School allows you to test into classes based on your previous knowledge of the language. I tested into beginner 4/Intermediate 1 and I feel their assessment of my skill placed me into the perfect level to refresh my memory while still remaining a challenge. I am a huge fan of the small group/class structure. It necessitates more participation and the instructor has the ability to really help you with pronunciation and sentence structure. While I have only had a maximum of three other students in my class, the Language School limits class capacity to ensure the small class structure is guaranteed. I don't think it's possible for me to properly explain how fantastic Pedro, one of the instructors at the Language School, has been. I have not had any other instructor since I have been there but I am sure he exemplifies the instruction given at the Language School. His patience and understanding of knowing when to prompt a student is excellent. He is always willing to answer questions and has an expert understanding of Spanish and it's translation to English. I cannot thank him enough for the positive experience learning Spanish. Overall, I highly recommend the Language School to anyone looking to improve their Spanish.

This school is excellent, flexible schedules to have opportunities to learn a second language, I have been in school for 3 months and I love a small group where the teacher can focus on each student. Additionally, the teacher is very patient and clear in explaining topics. I like how they have separate practices of classes to learn more English conversations. I definitely recommend this school!!

Both David and Pedro are wonderful teachers and are very accommodating to my busy schedule. I work in the local construction industry where speaking Spanish is a must. UPDATE: After working with David and attending some classes, I can confidently say that this is a good way to learn conversational Spanish. I have revised my review to reflect the quality of the lessons in light of the difficulty enrolling. *** I recently reached out to The Language School to inquire about Spanish classes after finding an article about the organization in Westword. When communicating with David Stevens, I recognized a few spelling and grammatical mistakes in communication, but passed them off and set up a time to meet with an instructor, complete an evaluation, and tour the facility. I asked if there were an opportunity to briefly sit in on a class to understand the form of instruction or to see some sample course materials; I was told they receive too many applicants (300+ per month) to do this and should simply watch the video on their website. I arrived to my appointment approximately five minutes late because of traffic, though I gave them forewarning. After arriving, I waited in the lobby for twenty minutes with nobody at the front desk to check me in or provide guidance; meanwhile, there were classes being conducted in other rooms. Eventually, I left without meeting anybody. Later, I received an e-mail asking why I had missed my appointment, to which I replied that I hadn't missed it, but that nobody had been there to provide the tour. David immediately called me after this e-mail and was very confrontational and stated that it was my responsibility to knock on doors in the office to find someone to provide the tour and conduct the evaluation (the same doors behind which classes were being taught). Whenever I told him that I was simply going to be looking for another organization, he laughed and stated "So, because you couldn't be bothered to knock on a door, you're choosing another group? Good luck." He then hung up on me. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT AND POOR COMMUNICATION SKILLS! I'd recommend finding a language club or group in Denver to practice your conversational skills that would likely be much more hospitable than this organization.

Been studying at TLS off and on for several years. It has always been very accommodating of my needs and my rather erratic schedule. I particularly enjoy the emphasis that is placed on cultural understandings. The school publishes its own books and uses them for the classes and they're a whole lot better than other books I've had to use, like back in high school. I wish I'd had the latest one (Let's Start Talking, by David Stevens, the owner and head teacher) when I started out. Very nice folks! And a comfortable environment. The widely traveled staff is easy for me to relate to. To sum up: it makes it fun!
