Beautiful little hot spring and well worth the walk
There's a small hike you have to do to get here. I wish totally recommend this place. It's tiny but magical.
This is one of the prettiest thermal features in the park.
Very colorful place
Loved this place. First time there and I was in awe. Must visit when in Yellowstone.
Be sure to walk or bike the path away from Old Faithful to view this spectacular iconic colored pool. Thirty years after I first saw it, I am pleased to see that the vent has steadily been cleared of debris so that the true depth of morning glory color has returned.
The walk to get there is worth it! Go at like 6 in the morning before everyone gets there...it is calm and peaceful.
A real beauty. Must see.
Beautiful splendid gorgeous out of this world
So glad we made the hike to see this pool!
great walk from the visitors centre! you can see most of the geysers in this basin on the way up to Morning Glory, so I definitely recommend the longer route.
Worth the walk all the way from Old faithful. Not just the destination but the way is beautiful too.
This is my favorite spot in Yellowstone because of how beautiful it is.
Worth the walk!
Lovely colors. Amazing to look at
Color is getting better. Definitely worth the small hike over to it.
Great place! Nice hike with paved walkway
One of the most beautiful and romantic place in Yellowstone, be there during sunny day in the morning (the best light) and take camera with wide angle lens
Beautiful! Well worth the hike
Pretty but small pool. You need a wide lens to capture it.
Morning Glory is on edge of the trail and the walk is truly worth it. Be sure you save some energy to walk till the end as it’s the treasure! Take some water bottles to get hydrated along the way. There’s also a restroom next to it so it comes hand at times.
Paved road from old faithful... Easy walk about 1.5 miles
Very cool. Too bad some visitors don't respect the beauty in nature and toss their trash or coins into it.
If you are visiting Old Faithful, be sure to make the walk out here. Amazing feature to see. The walk out here is easy for all ages and plenty of other things to see while walking out here.
Very beautiful spring. So cool to see different algae are different colors creating such beauty
2.6 mile hike, beautiful pool, awesome brilliant colors
Stunning views
One of the best colors
The most beautiful geyser in yellowstone
A very neat place to visit and if you're at Old Faithful, it's just a short hike.
Beautiful scenery
Must see point in the Yellowstone Park it is in the end of a loop behind old faith do not neglect seeing it. It is the most beautiful one of them u will spend some time there
Worth the hike. Definitely go early in the morning.
One of my favorite walks in Yellowstone. Check with the visitors center to check out times for possible eruptions.
Just beautiful
Amazing view of the pool
Cool experience to see this hot spring
Beautiful natural hot spring well worth the hike.
This was a great pool work such vibrant colors.
So beautiful!
Completely beautiful! The coloration is amazing, from dark orange to brilliant blue. It really does look like it does in pictures! Bit if a walk (or bike) to get there, but worth it, and you'll see fascinating thermal features along the way. It's a real shame people throw trash in it--it changes the color and makes it less interesting. As an extra bonus, there's a bathroom and picnic table near the pool.
Unfortunately I have no idea what it looks like other than looking at pictures because there were sooooooo many tourists buses and rude people with very little parking! Even after looping around multiple times, I was unsuccessful. It’s a walk to the pool from the parking lot so other than distant steam and a crud load of crowds gathering, we missed out on the stop I was most excited about! The international tourists....not cool though, so disrespectful and walk in front of cars and poop in the corners of the parking lot bathrooms when they got full! Y’all it was disgusting and I witnessed it with my own eyes. Overall, I’m sure it would have been amazing to see it! Wish they would add more parking.
It has amazing colors and a lot of other great geysers before it.
you can feel the hot stem.
It was pretty, very cold, and stunk
Small pool on the trail from Old Faithful. Worth the trek.
Stunning! Absolutely worth the walk back to it from Old faithful.
Nice but no water left there for good color pictures
Worth the walk.
Most definitely worth the walk from Old Faithful. There are plenty of other wonderful pools and geysers to see along the way. The colors and clarity of this pool are amazing.
This is a true place of beauty. The blue, however contaminated by us, is still visible. Surrounded by yellow and orange ....just beautiful. I could see a coin inside, so probably not for long.....heartbreaking...
You need to parking near the parking lot at old faithful, then walk along the broadway to the end, about 20mins walk, then here it is! Hot spring, warm and clear. Worth it! The view is great
Long walk, but worth it! So much to see on the way. It’s about a mile walk from Old Faithful. Take your time, take water, and enjoy the sights...
Nature's wonder.
Truly glorious! The colors could not have been more vibrant and the water any more crystal clear!
Great color and the hike from old faithful was good exercise.
Amazing formation. The walk there has many other pools, hot springs, and geysers.
Definitely worth the walk to see it. We started at Old faithful and followed the boardwalk on the higher side through all of the geysers and stopped by here at the end. After that we just took the shorter route back to the parking lot. Seeing all of the other geysers on the walk to Morning Glory Pool including Grand Geyser makes the walk go by very quickly.
This is an easy 1.4 mile walk (2.8 miles round trip) paved trail in the Upper Geyser Basin (wheel chair accessible) from Old Faithful Inn to the Morning Glory Pool. Beautiful colors! Along the way, you'll get to see some geysers including Castle, Grotto, and Riverside.
Absolutely beautiful. I wish they had bikes to rent at the start of this path. Long walk.
Very pretty just keep in mind it is quite a walk out and back.
It was so much fun! Also, I ALMOST ruined my phone.
Just as worth going to this pool than grand prismatic spring because it is less crowded, colder (so there's less steam), and though it is smaller it still is remarkable!
Be prepared for a hike to get to it but worth it. It is beautiful
Beautiful hot water pool.
Absolutely beautiful, worth the block down from Old Faithful Lodge. It is just an absolute crime that people throw garbage in these Thermal pools. Thankfully we did not see any when we were there.
I really love these geysers, it's such a great natural spectacle, absolutely worth seeing
Awesome
Worth the walk up to it
Short hike to reach this place of the road. Definitely worth visiting!
One of the most amazing hot springs in Yellowstone. Very beautiful! Definitely “must see”
Still a convenient must - see thermal feature, but almost as much for the negative changes to this once glorious hot pool as for it's current paler presentation. An important site for its value in teaching about how uniformed or disrespectful human activity harms our natural treasures.
Really an awesome place to see an amazing phenomenon of nature. Go in the Fall to avoid the crowds; it's a little cold, but a lot easier to avoid the "cattle drive" effect of viewing it with so many people.
Stunning!
Beautiful color though sad that people threw things I it blocking its vent and made it less blue.
This one is more green and yellowish compared to the others
This has always been my favorite geyser since I was a kid. Unfortunately, my parents always thought it was too far of a walk. Now that I'm grown up, "I" make the decisions. It's well worth the walk.
Very pretty. A little walk from the parking lot.
It's like a mini version of Grand Prismatic. Well worth the walk.
We did the mile walk up and it was a really nice walk with some really cool features. Entered by the mirror pool.
An easy walk from Old Faithful. One of the best and most gorgeous pools in Yellowstone. Tremendous color.
Pretty cool to walk by
Beautiful. Crowded as expected, but worth the wait.
The most interesting thing we saw in Yellowstone. You wouldn't believe it, but this is one of the highlights of the park lol.
It's a long walk but worth the extra effort
It's beautiful...
It's beautiful, however, don't expect to see the same as older pictures. The park now calls it 'Fading Glory' as the colors that come from very high temperatures (and the bacterias that live at those temps) have disappeared. That is due to people throwing random things into the pool, blocking the duct inside. What a shame!! Can't imagine someone walking all the way to see such a natural beauty and then decide to throw things into it?!?
Beautiful and worth the walk, but as with us, age is diminishing its beauty and color.
Amazing colors in nature.
This is a must see beautiful, natural pool at Yellowstone. Is a short (1.5 mile) hike from Old Faithful that is relatively flat and paved. You can definitely do it with a stroller or wheelchair. Absolutely worth it- and there are plenty of springs and geysers to see along the way.
Fabulous spot to visit if you're in Yellowstone. Beautiful colors, very deep hot spring pool that's emblematic of Yellowstone's geyser attractions Must not miss taking the hike along the geyser trail near Old Faithful and the lodges here. Unfortunately, in thinking or just plain stupid people throw items and "wishing well " coins into it each year, and that causes a discoloration and disturbances to the pool that are irreversible. Please refrain from doing this if you are ever here.
This hot spring is very colorful, but as the sign next to the pool says, it's fading glory. There's not much description of the pool itself other than how it's been filled with trash and coins. The walk is either 1.4milsa from the Old Faithful visitor center, some shade along the way, and several other geysers along the boardwalk or asphalt path. Good to see on its own, but small compared to the size and colors of the Grand Prismatic Spring.
This is a lovely pool, but continue your walk along the trail from here to biscuit basin. Artemesia geyser and other beautiful pools along this trail make it well with the extra walk. As an added bonus, you'll leave the crowds of the upper geyser basin behind you.
Around 1.5 mile hike from old faithful will take you to morning glory pool. On the way we can see so many gysers and if you are lucky you can see eruptions also. You cannot take vehicle near to this place. You have to take the trail.
Very pretty, worth the short walk.
Very unique. Sad people have abused this natural phenomenon. Must see.
A great hike from the old faithful visitors center. The the time to experience an amazing example of thermophilic bacteria.
So gorgeous. Can't imagine it's brilliance before pollution
It was fabulous view
Beautiful pool without an excessive amount of tourists
A miniature version of Grand Prismatic Spring. It takes about one mile of easy walk round trip from the Old Faithful, so it is not crowded. You get to enjoy the view of crystal-clear emerald pool and take as many detailed close-up pictures as you want. Do not throw anything into the pool because it will cause permanent damages to its ecosystem and the beautiful colors.
Need to walk about 1.5 miles from old faithful geyser, but it was well worth of walking. It wasn't that difficult hiking, but it is not too short. Also, you will see many other geysers on the way to morning glory.
Super clear water and little steam which makes it easy to see. Plus it's super easy to get to.
Great place to visit
The walk is a bit far but so very beautiful that you just don't care.
Totally worth for the ling walk from old faithful geyser
Beautiful pool in the Old Faithful area!
This is an amazing pool. We came 9 years ago and it had a lot more color in it than it did this time. The park sign said it lost some color due to people tossing trash and other items into it. It's still great to look at, but not as colorful as it once was. Some of the greens around the edge have turned to blues. Now it looks more like some of the other springs/pools.
The colors in this pool are amazing.
This hot spring in Yellowstone has a very beautiful view and has very vibrant colors
Stunning beauty. Worth the walk!
Beautiful but fading and is one of the best looking there
Beautiful! Only a short hike from Old Faithful.
It's nature, it gets 5 stars
Great hike. You'll be glad you got out of your car and made it to the end of the trail!
Beautiful, clear, and as the name would suggest, glorious, especially if viewed in the morning before the sun has fully risen. Morning Glory is located near the end of the paved section of the Upper Geyser Basin walking path, and as such can take a little while to get to. The nearby River Geyser path does have a small outhouse, but this far out you will not be able to refill water bottles, so make sure to fully fill yours before you attempt the journey. DO NOT THROW ANY OBJECTS INTO THE POOL, even natural things like sticks and leaves. These clog the base of the pool and can damage the functionality of the spring, leading to alterations in water temperature that turn the feature an ugly, orange-brown. These clogs must be cleared manually by park workers, and is a hazardous process. Just take photos instead.
Its an easy 2.8 mile hike from old faithful to morning glory. There are geyser every few metres of this trail. I would definitely recommend this easy trail which ends at one of the most spectacular geyser in Yellowstone.
It is beautiful although it is sad to hear that people have thrown coins in there and changed the minerals
Because of stupid visitors the pool while still beautiful has lost some of its past glory
Must see in Yellowstone national park
This is so beautiful, you can look from different angles and the walk to see it is so insightful!!
Great but the smelll
Well worth the walk to this pool. Brilliant colors.
I have been to Yellowstone before, although it has been many years, and Morning Glory Pool had been one of my favorite places on the Upper Geyser Basin. I eagerly anticipated seeing it again on this trip. It was a much longer walk than I remembered... It's 1.5 miles on the boardwalk from Old Faithful Inn. While it was still clear and lovely, it had lost some of its beautiful blue color that gave it it's name and that set it apart for me. When I asked about it the Ranger said that the water has cooled some because of the debris that has been thrown into it by visitors and this has partially clogged the water vent. Geysers get their color from the water temperature and the minerals in it, plus the organisms that can tolerate the heat and thrive. Greens and oranges reflect cooler water. This caused me to respect these water features more for they are what bring people to this place. It is sad that this is happening; caused by people who think its funny. I want to see this place be around for others to enjoy, so I ask that others think about what they are doing to help keep the water features and the park pristine.
Great and beautiful. Too bad people are killing it.
The colors are amazing
Beautiful
