The owner is great. Super nice staff
It took us less than 10 minutes walk through. It's like a haunted house for kids, nothing really scary, just dark.
Amazing for the kids
It was fun and kept you on your toes
Girlfriend and I had an absolute blast! Don’t believe the other reviews. If you are a group of young adults looking for a fun and slightly spooky adventure, you can do no better than the Lost Temple. Friendly and in-character clerk at front desk, great scenery, this is one adventure you don’t wanna miss!
Pretty fun for the price. I enjoyed it.
This was the biggest waste of money ever, do not go. Go spend on wizard quest or ripleys
Not worth the money.
Fun. Included with our mt Olympus stay. Done up for Halloween
$5 was too much for this self-guided “tour”. The animatronics look like Halloween decorations that you could purchase yourself. There’s really no story, plot, or mystery, you just walk through the dark passageways which seemed kind of boring to me. The ladies restroom was absolutely disgusting. There were smears of waste on the floors and the trash can was overloaded with garbage. It clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a while. The employee who sold us our tickets was super nice though, and he cracked a few jokes, too. But in the end, this place is not worth it!!
Very cheesey, did not like it. Only small moving store decorations type things
It was fun and very interesting, my family loved it and purchased the photos.
A five-star place. An aspect of scary and fun. The desk manager was very kind.
No scary
Not very exciting at all. Boring 5 minutes attraction
This was completely awful not worth it what so ever! If I could rate it zero stars I would. Do not waste your money you could go buy ice cream instead! All I'm saying is do not go on it! Unless you like not seeing anything while your in there and stupid things that made no sense.
We loved it! Great guy running the front counter, he gave the kids a good laugh and reminded them "not to be last!"
Was a fun experience
Must visit and do the maze kids loved it
It could be a bit better. For five dollars it's OK, ten would be no point and 1 would be worth it. A cool environment before the actual maze. And it's not really a maze, just a walk-through with 1 guy randomly popping out and shouting at you.
Pretty good as far as haunted houses go. We got in for free as a special from our hotel but it would have been worth a few bucks. I liked that there was a real person doing the scaring, not just automated noises. They were able to pick up on what scared us but also what made us laugh!
Take a picture of the outside it's the only interesting thing about the place. The only way I can describe the inside is like someone started an idea with after Halloween sale props and ran out of funding.
Not bad... Could have been better
Imagine a haunted house attraction. Now break 80% of the animatronics. After that, dim the lights so that your customers can't see and will likely trip and contract a fatal disease from the filthy floors. Finally, ignore all required maintenance so that your lack of effort to maintain the building is obvious to anyone. Once you have done this, you have successfully imagined Lost Temple.
Nothing but dark hallways and broken animated machines. Not a maze, not a mystery, just a long dark passageway you walk along for about 3 minutes and you're done. We asked the guy working the front desk before we went in what it was all about. I honestly don't think he even knew. He told my 6 year old to walk around and try not to get eaten by animals or something. Looks like they raided a bunch of old bankrupt haunted houses and stole a bunch of broken junk and put it in a long dark hallway. Seriously dumb. Even $5 admission is infinitely more than this was worth for 3 minutes of boredom
Awesome
For $5 it's an ok experience. I wouldn't go again but it was kind of cool. Top Secret is better and the same price though.
Nice place
Boring. But for $5 what else can you expect. Note to owners, add some automation or a live person to scare, I had to make noise to scare my family otherwise it would be a waste of time.
NEGATIVE STAR!! The most retarded attraction. There was litteraly nothing inside, only some dumb things that makes no sense. You walk in a extremely dark maze, which kids can hurt themselves. Spend your $$ elsewhere.
On the outside it looked thrilling, but on the inside it was pretty dark, and I couldn't see where I was going at times. There were some disorienting effects, I felt dizzy and uncomfortable at times, but it wasn't bad, it added to the kind if feeling of a wild adventure. It was pretty short but there were plenty of rooms. Some rooms had skeletons with moving eyes and talking people, the life sized models were really cool. Staff was nice, they answered some questions I had before I went in. I would recommend this for little kids, but for adults not so much.
Not worth the $5. Walk through really dark path with turns, not scary for adults. You will be disappointed.
It's worth is on the $5 special days.
I see this place has bad reviews. This is a great stop to take little kids. We actually had a fun time. It could is a little help such as clean up and fixing some props. We had some good laughs so the small charge was worth it to us. This is not very realistic for adult entertainment keep that in mind. We stuck to the main attraction they also have a human size maze to check out.
this was really funny and me and 3 other people had a fun time laughing at all the cheesy things that you can get at your nearest Halloween superstore. Some things were clearly broken but it was still funny to laugh at. Also the maze part is separate from the temple and costs an extra $5. I don’t know if I would go back to the temple again but I would be open to going to one of the other attractions such as Top Secret or Ghost Outpost.
I won't say i hated it. Decided to go since it was next door to the ghost outpost which did suck!! Could of been longer. Cute activity for the kids. Beginning to end took about 15 mins. If your kids are older then 10, i would skip it.
Sign on the front stated hours from 10am - 11pm. We arrived at 10:30am and it was still closed.
Not scary and for the price it was fine. Nothing jumps out so for me thats ok.
You can't beat the price of 5 dollars a person. It was fun and scared the kids it was more like a really dark haunted house the only difference was no one jumps out to scare you.
Nothing interesting about this place. Dont let the exterior fool you. Not exciting, not scary. Pitch black darkness. Waste of $5.
Hit up the go-carts instead!
Basic follow the leader style "maze". Mildly amusing. A couple things may make you jump just because of surprise factor.
I know it was a low cost activity, but we felt like nuisance by the behavior of the one person staff. We were they only ones there. Made something fun for the 8 year old, but the rest of us would have passed on the fun if we had known.
After checking out the website we though, "hey- ten bucks for us two adults and the boys (both five) are free! Awesome right? Wrong. I walk in and he charges us full price for the kids and very crudely says the prices have changed. Though the website wasn't update. I think if you have advertisement you should follow it. And if you can't, at least be courteous and have decent customer service. Won't be going back.
Okay, so this is right by Ghost Outpost, which by the way, don't waste money on the Ghost Outpost either! But getting back to the Lost Temple, it was nothing like we thought it would be. All it did for us was waste $25 for a group of 5. I am a teenager, so of course I get carried away with what the buildings say and I keep forgetting that all they do around here is take money from you when the places aren't worth it. The "tour" isn't that great, plus, if you really want a tour, then just don't wait for a guide and go by yourself. It wasn't even scary, plus it was very boring. I will admit though, that the only fun part was the spinning tunnel. It was a very laid back experience, plus you'd better watch the signs at the pay desk. There are no refunds! So if you are wanting to do something fun in the Dells, just skip the "attractions" and go to the waterparks! The only thing that the attractions around here do is attract the money out of your pocket.
Very poor quality, the haunted Mansion is a much better value and actually has decent props.
Great place to walk through with the family!!! A little excitement for the fam!
Only did the lab rat maze. It was good for the kiddos.
My friend and I have a great time please be open minded and have fun get a group of friends allways fun is dark and the front desk guy is super kool. We have a blast.
It was okay. I ran into a wall twise. Pretty dark. I'd personally only pay $5 bucks. Anything more isn't worth it
Great place for a 5-6 years old. Older kids don't seem to get excited, and adults not excited at all. Not many things to see. It looks nice from the outside. Short path in the inside.
Waste of money
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY !!! TOOK 5 MINITES TO WALK THROUGH IT'S JUST A VERY DARK PATH SUPER LAME STAY AWAY!!!
Worst of the three fun house attractions: Lost Temple, Ghost Outpost, and Top Secret. Fun idea, but little thought went into the concept. A lot of the animatronics were hard to hear and understand. The Dayo song was so loud it drowned it all out. However, still better than what some reviews would make out.
Fun, good for the price. Pretty much what you would expect. Lost temple was very dark and lab rats maze was hard. Good, quick place to stop if you have time to burn.
I loved it for 5 dollars it was pretty cool
Fine for very small kids.
Super fun only 5 dollars
Not bad for $5, the kids liked it.
Really short experience and low quality. Just sort of a funny gag and pretty cheap
Looked promising on the outside but was very dated and not interactive. On the positive side entrance was only $5
Litlary garbage. One of the worst places in the dells. Never come here.
Don't waste ur money on this. Was a mindless walk through activity. Go to Wizard Quest. That was an amazing one of a kind experience.
It was totally worth the money to see my kids get totally freaked out. They were terrified. And I spent the extra money on the maze cause it was surprisingly lot of fun for our family.
Nothing but fun
Very quick tour, did not find worth the money.
Nice place but scary all d way
Worth a fiver to see some silly mannequins in peril. My sub 8 year old group found it scary.
Had a BLAST with my kid very reasonable priced at $5 and great time!
Kids really liked it. As good or better than a carnival fun house, and @ $5/person, it's about the same price. Glad we went.
Waste of money
The outside of the temple is one of the best parts. The inside is a poorly lit path through the "temple". There is really nothing very scary. The most startling part is the loud sound from the compressor that moves the spider-like object. $5 is about the right price, but wouldn't pay more, and wouldn't go back.
This is like a haunted house only with a pyramid adventure vibe...My 8 year old who is pretty fearless was absolutely terrified and when we got to the dizziness inducing tunnel of blacklight I broke a flip flop and felt like I was going to tip over. It could use some updates but was pretty dang fun! Check it out, why not.
For $5 per person, with an 8 and 10 year old, it was worth it. If we were just adults, I might have preferred putting my money towards something else.
There isn't that much to it, but admission is $5 so you definitely get what you pay for. It's a quick fun walk kind of like a lower level family friendly haunted house.
Not impressed, but for a quick little activity, walk through, $5 is cheap
Do not waste your time and money. Not suitable for children, very dark walk through with no guidance. My group and I thought it was more like a terribly failed horror house.
It's what you pay for. Just a quick, fun, cheap entertainment. Nothing to really make you go wow. Could have been updated and changed up quite a bit.
Another waste of time, half price thank God.
Waste of time and money
Everything including the floors were sticky. Make sure to get a tetanus shot before visiting this attraction. I’d rather spend $5 on a lottery scratcher and win nothing than go back.
It was a fun attraction with a little scare. It was worth the 5 dollars. Took fun pictures and it was very memorable.
The Lost Temple is a good attraction to take the kids. If your night vision isn't very good you may end up walking into some walls.
You just walk through dark hallways, nothing really fun or interesting to see.
Fun time and cheap
Probably one of the better places to go in the Dells if you're looking for a legit scare. Me and my friend (being two crazy college kids) just stopped by and didn't expect much, but not 5 minutes in and we were both screaming. Guy that was working when we went was super friendly. If you're looking for something spooky especially since it's fall right now, I'd definitely give it a try!!!
Kinda cool not good do young kids
It's good for ages probablu around 10 and under
It's almost too dark. Could've been empty rooms pretty much and you can't tell. Some parts okay. Kids were scared as hell so it could be a good or bad thing depending haha.
For $5.... You get what you pay. It's a fun, quick attraction for kids and adults alike. We went in on our way out of the Dells with no expectations and had an absolute blast. I would recommend to families who have a little bit of time and want something different.
For $5 it's not horrible
Great walk through for $5!
So much fun!! Creepy tho something do with friends and family
It's extremely dark and hard to see any thing without a flashlight. It is just a look around walk, not very exciting. Would be better if it wasn't as dark, or if it had special effects.
For a $5 admission it is not a bad way of spending 15 minutes. Do not go in expecting anything like Wizard Quest. It is a short, dark walk around twists and corners with a few lights and gimmicks.
Price is Right, staff members today wasn't very friendly... She was pretty grumpy... Worth taking a look at it...
It was fun for the kids. I kinda like it too ..
It was fun
I went with a free ticket from the upside down white house. I wouldnt pay and I found out why it was free. Best part was the outside. It was a hot mess mix between wanna be haunted house and a bunch of mess. Not kid friendly very dark.
We loved it. Thought it was pretty awesome. The little people were a tad scared. Be careful that they can deal with the darkness.
Literally a waste of money. My son was terrified and did not enjoy it at all. The exhibits you see don’t even all make sense with the temple/adventure theme.
Great time better than before
The staff was GREAT!!!!!! The amusement itself was about what you would plan to see!!
Like a haunted house
Fun scare place to walk thru. For $5 it's worth checking out
Absolutely fantastic! Cool story to follow with neat props! Would definitely recommend to use your phone flashlight to avoid bumping into the dark halls, and to see all the details of the props, but other than that, it was amazing, and very fairly priced! Lots of fun for all ages, and if you're going, you CANT miss it! WAAAAYYY better than the nearby Ghost Outpost "Haunted" House!
Fun for the whole FAM!!!
Hoaky but fun! :)
Honestly 5 dollars is too much. It is just walking through a building that has been turned into a windy walk path with some plywood. The animatronics are cheep and cheesy. The best part was the end. If you enjoy throwing away your money this is the place you want to be.
A bit cheesy. Was not expensive and was part of a local deal, so I could not expect my socks to be blown off. It was interesting and fun to experience with the family.
This is not worth the $5. You can't see anything while walking through because it is so dimly lit. The turning tunnel is not a good idea for anyone with vertigo or queasy stomach.
Enjoyed it !
Save your money and go to haunted house next door.
Lost Temple is pretty cool I guess. Our youngest found it creepy, which I think is the point of the experience. The rest of us thought it was worth doing.
Quick fun experience!
Was kid friendly for our 7 year old.
Waste of $20 and 15 minutes. Wish I could get all of it back.
It's more of a haunted house then anything. Took my son there that loves puzzles and mazes thinking it would be like Indiana Jones.
Scarry and funny
It was a blast. Not too scary, but a lot of fun.
Other reviews are on point. What do you really expect for 5 bucks. It was neat the kids were scared. But why the heck not it's a good way to kill twenty minutes.
Pretty cool place!
We got a free pass from the Upside down White House for The Hiddle temple. We went to the hidden temple. 4 of us (one is 5 and should be free). We forgot we had the free pass so the price came to $16.25. When we remembered the free pass and handed it to her she changed the price to $16.10. We told her it should be $5 less because of the pass and she told us no only 3 and under were free. We felt it was a scam so we handed our free pass to the people behind is and left. Won't be going back.
Just. Wow. If it were free. . .
Very fun and scary. The maze was a little disappointing though.
Didn’t think it was gonna be like a haunted house
This was fun.
Had a really good time here, make sure to force the little ones to go first!
Kids had fun
Good times in the Dells. We played in the temple for a little while taking goofy photos and just having fun. The man at the front desk was cool, and let us walk through the maze out side also.
Meh!
$5 a person may be a bit steep but it was okay. I can imagine that it gets better around Halloween and other special events. I might come back and see it again if they're running a special or something. Friendly staff. Definitely recommend a flashlight if you've got kids because they may get a little freaked out by some of the decor.
Kids had a blast
I love horror films and wowwww this actually gave me a fright! If you have a lot of imagination definitely come to this place! Make sure you have someone to hold on too! Lol
This is truly a you get what you pay for experience. I think for the five bucks it might be worth bringing in little kids but for grown adults not so much
Really fun, but maybe not good for young kids.
A spookish self guided tour. Better than Top Secret. Both of these would be better if the creators actually had an ounce of knowledge in creativity and immersion creation.
Price of 5 dollars was right for a short tour
