I have been going here for about 5 years. Since the hotel was added I have seen a real drop off in return on slots, here are a few examples from yesterday. Miss kitty,. 75 per spin, bonus 10.78. Stacks of gold, 1.50 pet spin 13.00 in bonus, china shores. 90 per spin, 134 free spins 26.00. They do have a nice selection of machines. I went to est at the small restaurant ordered two cheeses burgers, with no pickles, onions both came with onions. They asked when ordering do you want onions said no still got them

We were given the opportunity to shoot new ads for their updated facility. There's so much new at HCGW. The hotel is beautiful, the restaurant is great and we spent several hours on the new digital table games. If you're looking for a little slice of Vegas in the north woods, look no further.

Stayed here while in the area for state bowling tournament. Hotel is nice and the casino was nice as well. Relatively a lot of machines that weren't in service however. And the virtual card games is odd. But we had a good time. The food at the little restaurant was also good and fairly priced with the $5 coupon.

This is for rivers edge restaurant. My husband and I have tried to eat there the last three times. Everytime the restuarant is dead but told at 9 o'clock they were not taking any more. The restuarant maybe had 10-12 patrons. There were 2 servers. We spend plenty of money here but the restuarant needs to step up their game. I asked for the food and beverage manager but no one found him. The next time I come I will make sure we eat somewhere else.

Rivers Edge restaurant was disappointing. The staff was unorganized to the point no one knew what they should be doing. We were told it would be a 10 minute wait, why I had no idea as there were plenty of seats available. We sat at the bar and no one asked if we wanted menus or a drink. Finally get seated and the bartender (I think) came to take our drink order and mumbled he's the bartender, waiter, hostess etc because they are short staffed. Our appetizer was brought to us by someone other than him and our main course was brought out by the chef!! Finally we were done, waiting for our check, we'll that didn't happen had to go to the bar and ask for it!! For the prices charged I would expect better service and a bartender who doesn't need a book to look up a vodka sour.

Nice place but every time I go there, they have way to many games not working or out of service etc... Seems to happen more often than not. I go there more often than I should but never win. Machines don't pay well. Could just be my luck though. Friendly staff though. Positive environment.

Ho-Chunks are awful. I've went to all of them with an open mind and an unbiased opinion. Tight gaming and rude employees. Possible exception on the rude employees at Wittenberg however. Most were very friendly here.

I am in awe with the beautiful, new hotel! Gorgeous building! Friendly staff, casino floor is a lot cleaner than others, kind of disappointed a lot of machines were out of order. Didn't walk out a winner, but didn't walk in expecting to be one, so got out of the house and enjoyed myself for a while.

Casino itself is great, Bartender was awful and did not pay attention to customers. Could see us waiting for drinks and continued to serve others all around us, then had the nerve to ask if we were there before other customers. Did not even give us the happy hour special... WE had to ASK for our discount/money back. I highly suggest 2 bartenders on for weekends and not just one lousy girl who seemed to be a manager. Very sad service.

Recently renovated (January 2018) casino and hotel. New slots, but no true table games. Small selection of table games offered digitally with projected dealers; including blackjack, craps, ultimate hold 'em & roulette. Very nice bar, extremely good bloody Mary. (Comes with enough extras, it is a drink & a light meal.) Snack bar is decent food, good value, but my two experiences indicate very slow in preparation. Overall, high entertainment value for the price (gambling loss). I never plan on or even hope to win, I expect to pay for the entertainment and occasional excitement.

The hotel rooms are very clean and I loved the modern design. The bed was extremely comfortable! Breakfast was delicious, there isn't a buffet or/and complementary breakfast, however, they gave me a $5 voucher for the hotel/casinos restaurant.

Since the remodeling, the gaming has terrible. Beautifull machines, but if you cant play for more than 20 minutes on $100 its not worth the loss. I've decided to play at local bars instead. Never again.

Big thank you to the staff at the hotel! My 2 young children and their father were in a a roll over accident on Saturday December 29, 2018 as they were traveling from Michigan to North Dakota. During the accident his bank cards were damaged and would not work. They then comped him and the boys a room for the night and gave them food vouchers as well. They also accommodated the dog as a service dog until we could arrive from Michigan to rescue them. The hospitality and friendliness was very appreciated and I will be sure to let others know how helpful and kind they treated my family during a time of hardship in a town we knew nobody. Thank you all who took part in making my kids and dog feel welcome and safe!!

We always go for lunch, my sister and I always split our lunch and add a small salad. Way to much to eat for one. Delicious!!! The gambling so much fun... 10-24-19 Went for lunch , food was good and then to the casino, had a great time husband had a 15 dollar reward and he won, nice to play with there money and win.

I really like the renovations they have done with the place. Much more spacious and many more gaming options. I like the electronic table games (not a fan of live dealers throwing cards around - seems like a lot of unnecessary waste), specifically Ultimate Texas Holdem - I'm not aware of any other casino around that has this game. I come here specifically to play Ultimate Texas Holdem so I hope some nimrod in management doesn't have a "brilliant" idea to remove them for live tables because I'll stop going all together. Dining options are fine - if you want to wait a while for your order then go to the River's Edge, otherwise we usually grab something at the Forest Edge snack bar, which is actually pretty good but more importantly much faster. Are you going to consistently win? Probably not, but we do better there any other casino in the area. And they are pretty generous with their promotions - other casinos should be put on notice: "you're doing it wrong!". Also customer service desk is staffed by friendly helpful people - as opposed to cranky trolls who act irritated that you would have the gall to ask a simple question about something.

Did a trip up North to the lake and stopped into this casino on our way back home. Was a nice casino, people seemed to be winning and they had extra things going on like a raffle when we were there. Was a little disappointed that they didn't have actual card tables, but they did have some automated card tables which surprisingly were pretty fun, the table I was at we were all having a good time cheering and clapping when the dealer would bust stuff like that. :) Everyone seemed to be playing for awhile and holding there own the spot I was in anyway, walked away with a little cash which is always nice, I recommend this casino.

Use to LOVE coming here until our trip up there on the 29th of June we rented out the biggest room in the hotel we where down stairs playing on the little devils an the bottom of the Machine came slamming down an smashing on top of my left shin .... AN IT HURT BAD BAD bruised immediately I was in tears an just SHOCKED ! Long story short couldn’t walk man was in horrific pain had to go back to room tried to sit in tub an it was NASTY dirty with the ring around the part top of tub YUCKKKK! We made paper complaint about me being hurt in there casino an nasty tub in room then went to take shower an the water wouldn’t even go hot talk about a horrific Evening so they made huge report , pictures of my leg , went bac an watched cameras even other staff stated this was not the 1st time the machine just comes crashing open on top of ppl mainly the set we were at !! Your kidding right this wasn’t the first time what the hell !!! So we wait til wed July 3rd got call back FINALLY ABOUT ALL OF THIS an remind u this happened at 344 am an we checked out by 8 am I couldn’t walk I was balling I just wanted to go home ! The head person calls says so sorry to hear this omg what a bad evening an states but there’s nothing we can do !!! Ummm what do you mean u can discount a room or free or anything an I got hurt at your casino do to y’all ?!? He then goes an says well I can give you a little free play ... so I told him I am going to get this checked out finally by dr an I talked to an attorney Monday but waited to see what they would even say so , but I will contact them again an I will have my attorney get a hold of them !! I didn’t want to make a HUGE deal or call ambulance I am just floored I have to put my credit card down for any charges but I can get hurt do to them an there room top room wasn’t fully ok really I’m sorry screw your 10 in free play I will take my business else where just very disgusting how you guys treat us this way after we come there many times just completely sad !!!!!

Sadly we werr very disappointed in the Riversedge restaurant, will probably never eat there again......On the other hand our hotel room was super nice and comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpfull. I really appreciate the fact that there is no pool or arcade area because it's nice to have a casino to go to that doesn't cater to kids!

Do not go there overnight if you plan on using a rewards card and don't have one none of the associates wood print me a card and I ended up winning $400 and spent it all back into the machines without being able to receive any points. This is total BS if the casino is open 24 hours so should the Rewards Club I will not recommend this casino to anyone you're better off going to North Star

They don't have self flushing toilets. Most toilets were not flushed, otherwise restrooms clean. The casino in general was clean. Snack bar very clean.

Hotel room was very nice. That's it! They put all their eggs in one basket...This place is a total disaster! No pool, no hot tub, played half the slots in the joint at max bet, not a dime in return!!! No food, no vending on your floor!!! All they could do is keep telling me they were sorry! And I feel bad for the employees that probably say that a lot! Will never come back, and anyone who ever asks, I will say stay somewhere else! Oh yeah, no real gaming tables!!!!!!!!! Total bs!!! And after hours, u have 2 ask for them 2 open up the ala cart area! And when they do, they have sub par micro burgers and hot pockets... go 2 the dells don't waste your time at this place..

Beautiful hotel, spacious clean rooms and excellent customer service. The only reason I could not rate 5 stars was the water, it never got hot. We stayed on two separate occasions. The second time I asked the desk clerk about the water and he stated they were waiting on a part. Other than that, its a great place to stay.

Stayed at the hotel for the first time. Front desk was closed at 2pm. Found a clerk who said checkin was at 4pm, but desk would open at 2:30. 5th floor king was beautiful. Great bed, separate sitting area w/fridge, kureg, microwave and ice maker. Housekeeping a little lax. No coffee cups, no towels at bar, and whipped cream sprayed over the tv screen. Called house keeping and was taken care of in minutes. Typical casino. Wife won what I lost. Guess break even is Ok. Supper was a very disappointing 1 hour 45 minute wait after ordering. Cook didn't show up. Nothing given during wait. No bread, no bread sticks, not even crackers. Steak was great when it finally arrived. Buffett breakfast very over priced at $15 for very basic selection. No menu service.

The remodel of the casino is really quite nice. I hardly recognized the place. I'm not sure that it's sold on the automated table games though. Seems strange not having a human dealer. I'd have given it 5 stars but I couldn't hear myself think with all the construction noise going on around me. Incredibly frustrating when you are trying to relax and enjoy your gaming experience. Ultimately it was the reason that I chose to leave.
