There's not much to not love about the beauty of the dells on this part of the river. We have property on the river and love boating this area. There are plenty of places to get out and explore. Bring a camera!!!

Quality of the Upper Dells Boat Tour rivaled the absolutely perfect weather! Pilot Luke and Tour Guide Gabrielle were enthusiastic very informative and amusing. They brought new life to tired jokes and puns. I could not stump Gabrielle; she had detailed responses to every question. Although a few bucks more per ticket, Upper Dells rock formations, history and scenery are superior to Lower Dells. Classic boats are clean and we'll maintained. Luke adeptly piloted us through some very narrow spots, some with strong current. Seating is available on upper or lower deck. Grandson Joseph found view from lower deck just fine. Our wait was minimal. Check for discounts via your hotel or condo.

We loved this boat tour!!! Our tour guides were Alex and Aly and they were awesome!!! The only thing I would change is to bring a sweater and blanket if you're doing this on a windy evening ☺

The boat ride was nice on this warm day with the wind blowing the whole way. Our first stop at Whiches Gulch. There was a really nice walk through the Gulch to the concession stand. Then we walked back through to the boat and boated to Standing Rock where we saw the German Shepard dog jump. The staff were friendly and cost of concessions were normal price for a tourist area. If your ok with cheesy jokes and a nice history tour then your probably going to like the tour. I'd recommend the tour. I've gone on it 3 times with my family and enjoyed it every time.

We did both the Duck Boat tour on the lower Dells and the Boat Cruise of the upper Dells. Highly recommend both as you see different formations in and around the river. I like the fact that both tour company's hire young College students and train them well.

Our boat ride on the Joliet Thursday evening was lovely. Witches Gulch alone is worth the trip, and then to top off with the dog jump at standing rock was awesome. However the cruise would've been incomplete without Olivia the tour guide and hope I remember her name correctly Annette the captain. They were funny, informative, and just all around fun. Anyway the Dells are a great place to see nature in action. Taking a boat ride on the Wisconsin River is one of the best ways to enjoy that beauty. The crew on Joliet answered questions and just made the trip that much more fun. Cheers to Dells of the Wisconsin River.

I went up to Wisconsin Dells to visit my daughter and son-in-law where they were camping along the Wisconsin river . What beautiful scenery , makes me sad that I did not own a boat . Although there are plenty of scenic boat tours , jet boat and Wisconsin Dells Ducks tours in the area if You haven't got your own vessel . A great place to spend a family vacation .

Honestly still not sure what 'Dells' even means but regardless it's a beautiful area to see. There is a hiking trail that goes right out to a tiny beach overlooking the Dells if you don't want to pay for a boat tour. I highly recommend staying on the path though, as there are rumors of a bear cave just off of it. Or maybe it's a rumor to scare unknowing tourists like myself. ;)

This was a nice place to learn some things about the dells. You just dont ride on a boat but the guide stops at a few places you get off and walk he tells you some history.

Took the Dells boat tour (upper and lower) and it was a blast. The upper tour is about 2 hours and there are two stops where you can get off the boat and take a short hike. We stopped at Witch's Gultch and Standing Rock. The lower tour takes about an hour and you remain on the boat the entire time

Everyone needs to go on the dinner tour. The entertainment was great and the staff was awesome! It was a great getaway and the witches gulch, was a great stop. The Sunset was beautiful. If you want to relax, book the sunset dinner tour.

The parking area and short path on the west side of the river was nice, but didn't allow for much exploring of the dells or narrows. This spot had an obstructed viewpoint of the narrows and cliffs downstream but an expansive view of the Wisconsin River upstream. Overall, it was pretty, but offered only a taste of the dells and therefore was kind of disappointing. I suspect the dells are best explored by boat on the river or from one of the hiking trails that goes into the canyons.

What a great time! Rented a pontoon from Rivers Edge Bait Shop and cruised the lower Dells for an entire Friday. Beached it on various beaches and had a great time with family. Doesn't get any better! This is a must do if you are thinking about a what to do.

Took a boat tour of the upper dells, saw some interesting sights. Unfortunately it was really hot and sitting on the lower interior level kind of cooked all of us. Not bad, but you are going to see a lot of the same thing all along the water edge with a couple of memorable points highlighted along the way.

Timing is everything for Wisconsin Dells and not sure when the best times are for visiting, but don't miss this great opportunity. There are two parts of the Dells, the Upper and the Lower Dells. The Upper Dells are divided by a dam. The Upper Dells are the most scenic with tour boats guiding tourists back and forth. Tours are typically 2 hours long with shore excursions. I do recommend sitting on the top of the boats for the best views.

We went on the Dells boat tour and it is absolutely beautiful riding down the river. So many birds and the sandstone structured ground looks so cool! It was misty when we docked but it made the view even more wonderful! We even saw a bald eagle! Also the tour guides are super knowledgeable and funny!

Beautiful. I love the dells! Havent kayaked it yet but am excited to in the near future. Wish they would have some buoys or something as their are speed boats, duck boats, etc touring the area and for the paddle sport enthusiast I could imagine it being kind of nerve wracking.

We loving boating here. Come a few times per year. Boating here takes some skill, watch for the tourists on rental pontoons and especially jet skis! The giant jet boats and tour boats make MASSIVE waves that can not be easy to traverse. But beautiful views! Well worth it all.

The water is nice and warm in early june. It contains nice sandstone rock formations that I would not recommend for deep water soloing.

The landscape is beautiful sure but thwre is just FAR too much tourist trap stuff around and the amount of water tours operating in the area gets in the way of being able to enjoy any of it to a degree. The duckboats are particularly pushy and command a lot of boatramps and waterways in the area that should realistically be open to the public.
