Super strawberries & service!

My husband and I stopped in here on a Tuesday afternoon just to check it out and taste some wine. When we walked in, there were 2 ladies working the store. Neither of which even acknowledged our presence. We walked around the store then headed back to the wine tasting bar. We were the only 2 customers in the store. We waited back by the bar and still neither lady working came back to see if we wanted anything. They didn’t even speak to us! Not only that but one of ladies we walked passed was doing something at the counter and she didn’t even look up at us! So we left. It was the strangest thing. They didn’t even care that we were there. Very poor customer service. Too bad to because it’s a really nice store. We would’ve liked to have relaxed and had a glass of wine but we certainly did not feel very welcome at all.

2nd year in a row we have been here! Great place. Prices are fair. Be ready to wait in lines if it is busy, but everything is worth the wait. Great U-pick apples as well!

Delicious apples, cider, and more. Well organized, with free parking. Apple Fest has two food trucks and bounce houses for the kids. Friendly, helpful staff. Will return.

We visited in their off season but even so it was a nice pitstop where we could sample their fruit wines and browse their gifts. Great service with knowledgeable staff.

What can you say about Apple Barn...... got great apples, warm apple cider, awesome caramels, wine tasting and a bottle of wine, caramel dipping sauce, apple butter and some of the best kettle corn ever. The staff was fun and friendly. Great prices and an awesome atmosphere. Will definately be back again. The only thing we forgot to get was the apple cider donuts. Just another reason to go back soon.

Every year we call ahead and reserve flats of strawberries to make jam. They make it so easy to do so and makes my life with 3 kids a bit less stressful... I can't wait until my kids are old enough so we can all go pick! Kind and friendly staff. Amazing cider donuts!

Randy Kim

Beautiful orchard, friendly staff and great apples to choose from. I love the wine selection and tasting they have to offer. Prices are a bit high for the apples but that includes the experience. Loved it all the way around

Jennifer Dunn

Went on a rainy day but my husband Christopher and I still got our apple brats and apple cider doughnuts! God bless this place.

Tasha Schwenn

Wine price was average for a vinyard. The wine is pretty good, with apple, pear, strawberry and blueberry selections. Did not try the peach one. I did purchase wine, and would do so again!

One of the best places to pick your own apples! The variety of apples is quite amazing. They also have strawberries to pick in June. They have a fall festival which is well renowned locally. Famous for their apple cider doughnuts. There is a store where you can buy different varieties of wine especially apple wine. I have been coming here since I was a kid and now bring my own child. Love this place.

Went to the Apple Barn to pick up the donation of apples for the Family Fun Day tomorrow. Bought their famous apple cider donuts. One word, YUM!!! Never had them and the best way to describe the taste is, moist, soft, fresh and pretty big/thick donuts. Love them! Thank you Judy Jacobson again for your generosity!

Colleen Wilson

Smells great! Love the donuts and the assortment of items in the store.

The strawberries are very well tended to–beautiful, healthy, ripe, and tasty. It was very easy to pick without needing to skip anything that was rotten. Nice spacing between the rows as well, with abundant amounts of straw. Pleasant customer service, too. The exit sign from the patch is a little misleading for first-timers used to "No entry," instead of "Stop Exit," but we made it with no accidents. The store looks charming, although we did not get to explore it this time. The kids were happy to have the tree maze to play in on the way out. The orchard looks lovely and we hope to be back for apple-picking.

We spent a fun family afternoon picking apples, choosing the perfect pumpkin and browsing the store/gift shop/bakery. The wines we tried had a fresh fruit flavor and are reasonably priced.

Great place for the family....

The staff was rude and definitely lacked customer service skills.

Samantha Swift

A great place to go with friends! The wine is fabulous and the staff friendly!

Natasha Gosh

Fun, fresh, farm everything! A little pricey, but it's good stuff.

Katelyn Little

I really miss living in the country and getting all of the small town farm "amenities". When we go visit my in-laws this is the perfect place to go to get everything that I am home sick for!

Donna Vaughn

Wonderful apples, and of course, the donuts are great!!

Mary Griffin

The best tasting apples around. I drive from Illinois every fall just to pick several pecks of them. They never disappoint and are worth every cent. If you like sweet juicy apples try the Honey Gold's.

A well organized orchard experience and retail store. Apples were typically priced. Their wine was decent - tasting room is a nice notable. Prices for other items were a bit high, but that's part of being a small business, I think.

Stephen Mazzy

Great and knowledgeable staff

Beth Grunewald

Very pleasant.

Stacy Normington

The berries are juicy and fabulous!

Jillian Fischer

Rebecca Franz

Beautiful country store with delicious sweets, jams and pies. And the wine selection is pretty good also.

Arielle Keuning

Fun for the littles, though they need some help avoiding bad strawberries at the end of the season. Reasonably priced and not too crowded during strawberry season. Will be going again during apple season.

vesna pikelja

Was disappointed orchard was closed when we went but store/bakery part was open.

Rude, unwelcoming, overpriced mess with crabby employees! The old lady at the check out inside the store acted like it was a huge chore to give me a bag after we waited in line for a half hour just to get in to the store and spent almost $100...and you’re going to roll your eyes and let out a huge sigh when I nicely ask for a bag?! Also I witnessed the man directing traffic in the parking lot SCREAMING at 3 different families in their vehicles entering and exiting the parking lot, legit screaming at people with kids in their cars and the windows down and I was only in the parking lot for a few minutes! My kids were asking why is that man yelling at those families? No thanks, there’s a bunch of these places around I’ll find one where the staff are nice and nobody’s screaming!

Kel Frag

This place was great!! We got to hear a live jazz band, pick some apples, sample their wines and they even had a bounce house for kids!! Bring cash because some activities/vendors are cash only and they do not have an atm nor do they give cash back.

Barb Chrom

Great place !!! We love it !!!

Amber Newberg

Okay so this apple orchard is completely not worth it. They are open 6 days a week and you can only pick apples on 2 days? What is the logic of that?? People want to go to an orchard TO PICK APPLES. Completely stupid the way they have that set up. We drove out here wanting to pick apples and have fun. Instead we drove out here and drove all the way back home. And we werent the only people dissapointed.

Sixteen years ago, when our family moved to southeast Wisconsin, we visited the Apple Barn during its annual Apple Festival. The festival offered music from various vocalists and bands. Dance groups performed on a portable dance floor. There were several bounce houses and slide for the children, a gentleman who made balloon animals, and face painting for the kids. In the orchard area, there was a tent set up for vendors to display/sell their merchandise. Customers could purchase a bag for a reasonable fee and walk through the orchard picking apples from various trees within the orchard as well as picking a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch. Hayrides were offered through the orchard to the customers. The general store was open for customers to purchase apples, wine, cheeses, and pies. Brats, apple sundaes and fresh cider donuts were available for purchase at a separate concession stand. Since our family had not visited the orchard in six years, we decided to attend the annual Apple Festival this past September. All I can say is times have changed, and the festival is not what it used to be. There was one band performing while we were there. One bounce house and the balloon man who makes balloon animals were all that was available for the kids. In the orchard area, a tent was set up for vendors to display/sell their merchandise. At the time we were there, only five vendors were in the tent. The cost of the bag to fill with apples had tripled in price. Majority of the orchard was roped off, so customers could only pick from two rows of apple trees. Customers were no longer given access to the pumpkin patch, and hayrides were non-existent. Everywhere you went in the orchard there were signs informing customers of what they could/couldn't do in the orchard and on the farm property. The cider donuts we purchased were cold/greasy. As with the price of apples, the price of merchandise in the general store had increased too. At the end of the day, our family decided we would not be returning to the Apple Barn Apple Festival again. Next year, we will drive to Gays Mills when it is apple picking season.
