We've got all the feddbacks of real people like you who consumed the products and services of Monongahela National Forest (Tourist Attraction) in the state of West Virginia.
At the present this firm receives a rating of 4.8 stars out of 5 and that rating has been calculated on 2404 reviews.
You may have noticed that its rating is virtually the highest, and it's based on a very large number of reviews, so we may say that the rating is quite credible. If people have bothered to give their review when they've done well with the service, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to place tatings when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Tourist Attraction belongs to the category of National forest.
We went to Dolly Sods, beautiful day for a hike and a drive. Not many cars, they were all parked in on spot.
Amazing views and so much to do out here.
Would like to see more established backpacking trails.
Beautiful area of the country. Dolly Sods, Spruce Knoband Davis, WV are wonderful places.to visit, especially if you love outdoor activities.
Very beautiful roads to travel. With camp sites available.
Beautiful views on many of the trails. Seneca Rock trail takes you to the top of the mountain that rock climbing usually is used on other similar rocky mountains.
Loved everything about it. The trails were beautiful.
This place is ethereal at every turn.

Absolutely stunning! Had a great time and met some wonderful people. The first night we did see what looked to be Bigfoot fighting a bobcat, and the day we left a smiling man in red glasses drinking eggnog outside his Winnebago gave us directions back to the main road. A women by the name of Pigeon gave us a tour around town. 10/10 would go back!
One of my favorite places to visit. Let's make sure it's protected for ever.
Absolutely breathtaking! Beautiful area and an easy drive to mostly anything you can imagine!
I don't have words for this place. It is the only place I ever want to be when the weather starts to cool and summer fades into autumn. There is solitude here. And quiet solace for the healing of our hecticly paced lives. The mountains fold you into them and change your perspective. They reach into your soul and leave their splendor and quietness. They call to you forever after and leave you changed.
One of the few places in the eastern US where you can feel alone.
Visited the area where my father was in a plane crash. First time there. Beautiful area.
It's incredibly beautiful and peaceful.
Such a beautiful place with some really friendly folks.
Live the Blue Bend Area swimming area which joins the camp ground which is deep in the heart of Allegheny Mtns
Nice location for hiking, trails and full day of visit to enjoy the nature. Quite a large mountain, small waterfalls, forest area and picnic areas. We spent 3 hours there and will be back here for sure. There are lots of hidden areas to enjoy the day.
The food was great. The service was outstanding, they went the extra mile to meet our special needs.
Get out and experience the great outdoors!! Beautiful scenery and wildlife! God gave us some wonderful things.
I believe that all of the national parks are very interesting and unique
Beautiful sites and well maintained.
BEAUTIFUL PLACE FOR FISHING, KAYAKING OR CANOEING AND TUBING
Did about 600 miles on motorcycles throughout the mountains and forest. Only thing to watch out for on motorcycles is many roads are not paved or are very poorly paved so that's something to be aware of. It is extremely rural and many places are out of business so stay gased up and download your GPS for offline usage and there will be zero cell reception throughout most of the forest. Many interesting places to see and it really is truly beautiful. Avoid the routes if you are in a large truck or towing anything as you will be very displeased with the amount of extremely sharp turns and incline and decline throughout the mountains. Motorcycle riders be aware the rain hits the forest frequently and washed gravel into the roads on almost every turn. Great place to adventure and support local businesses.
Awesome! Quiet, beautiful, renews your spirit.
Beautiful roads, gorgeous scenery!! So peaceful and relaxing!!
How do you rate a national forest? This is one fine forest though. Tellin' ya' what buddy. Very fine.
We hiked the North Fork trail to Chimney top and it was very nice. Trail markers were well placed and visible with just a little bit of looking and we even began our hike in the dark to reach the top by sunrise. The trail seems well maintained and had very few fallen trees or blocked sections and we even went during the government shutdown so no rangers for several weeks to check the trails. The hike up was some work and had a "hard" rating on Alltrails but well worth it when you get to see the views at the top.
Nice place to go hiking. Make sure to look at the maps.
West vergina is a very beautiful place
I’d leave five stars but well, I guess I have to tell the story. I took my kid up there to hike around and check it out. He loves nature, being a Boy Scout and all, so it was a nice treat to have some bonding time. However, and it’s up to you if you believe me or not, while we were on a walk in the woods one day, we saw something…strange. Someone had parked a Winnebago in a small clearing in these woods. We heard rustling coming from near it, and thought it must’ve been a raccoon or something. However, standing there was a large, looming figure with bright red eyes and wings? I wasn’t sure. I know you probably think I’m crazy. But anyway, I picked my son up and bolted. I’ve never forgotten those glowing red eyes…
Had a great day hiking all around for 15 miles
Beautiful country Great camping and trout fishing.
Mountains are beautiful. I wish they had better maps of how to drive through to see the higjlights like TN does.
Love this place,. Cass Railroad is the best family trip.ever
Very pretty if you love the mountains
Dolly Sods was a great hike. Would have been more enjoyable if paths had some sort of path markings.
Gorgeous valley views, the tower was a little disappointing as now the trees have overgrown the tower and you cant really see over. There is not flushing toilets, its one enclosed outhouse. One meaning ladies....use your very best hover skills if you absolutely have to go.

Are you up to the challenge of walking? If so then you'll be in for a treat. Beautiful trail and scenery around each bend in the trail. Wear sturdy boots and pack water for your journey.
Beautiful vistas, and a great venue for a bike race
The park is even nicer than I remember. The grounds and the pool fantastic. Paddle boats and fishing something for the whole family. The camp ground by the river is nice but the Beaver Creek campground is a wonderful area too!

Amazing. Must see.
I've been hiking, camping, climbing, biking, birdwatching and sightseeing in the Monongahela NF for over three decades and this NF stands up to any place on earth for history, culture, adventure and scenic beauty, all feeling quite remote while located conveniently within day trip range of so many amenities.
Love it the water was warm had a great time
Great place to bring family and friends great places to visit and great places to stay
I live in the Mon most beautiful place on earth
Greatest place to ride horses east of the Mississippi river.
It's cool. I dont know how to review a national park. It was national and it was parky. 5 stars.
Great area to get away!
Very beautiful and thick. Come around october to see beautiful colors of trees. ❤
Huge forest with many amazing opportunities for hiking and camping and all sorts of outdoor recreation.
The trails are pretty rough and it's easy to get lost, but you will definitely feel like you are in the backcountry. It's a great place to backpack and the campsites along the trails are nicely situated.
This is my home. I love it here.
A lovely national forest with many hiking trails, beautiful scenic overlooks, picnic areas and places to visit. If you pass through the Richwood-Millpoint stretch of WV route 55, I highly recommend visiting The Falls of Hills Creek, the Cranberry Glades Botanical Area boardwalk as well as the Scenic Highway for beautiful views and a great educational experience.
Beautiful mountains and breathtaking views.
Gorgeous untouched wilderness. Great place for wildlife!
The reason I love West Virginia. Wild and untouched forest. Great streams for fishing. Great camping. Beautiful scenery.
Dolly Sods was a great hike. Would have been more enjoyable if paths had some sort of path markings.
This national Forest has some of the most gorgeous views of genuine West Virginia landscape. Full of woodland creatures, small streams, and beautiful trees. Very quiet and perfect for clearing the mind on long walk. Get out there and explore!
Wonderful forest for hiking. Enjoyed my long weekend there. Love it. Will go back for sure
Awesome place to go camping and fishing and hunting etc. Awesome family gathering place!!
Amazing views if you hike up Seneca Rocks! It's a bit of a hike but absolutely worth it.
Scenic WV. Hiking, rock climbing, fishing, natural caverns and tourism location.
Beautiful location, scenery, and forest.
Gorgeous Nat'l Forest! The locals are mostly very friendly... But some private land owners within the Forest aren't... so beware
Beautiful park that has its share of mountains and lakes. It can be difficult navigating around here as most places lack any satellite connection, so make sure you know where you're going before you lose your signal.
The sandwiches and food here are awesome!
No traffic noise. Little to no cell signal. What more can you ask for?
Lots of cool things to do in this Heavenly Forest, plus we have a cabin in it ! .
A Bear ran in front of our car! Beautiful!!
Absolutely beautiful! Nice to get out of the city and enjoy the cool of the mountains.
Very nice place to take a bike ride and visit
Despite the number of cars in parking, trail was not heavily used. Nice primative camping
I just drove through it but it was really pretty.
Are you up to the challenge of walking? If so then you'll be in for a treat. Beautiful trail and scenery around each bend in the trail. Wear sturdy boots and pack water for your journey.
Absolutely beautiful! It’s definitely a hike but there are benches available on the way up if you need them. No bathroom at the top so take care of business beforehand so you can really enjoy the serenity and scenery.

Very well kept campgrounds and lake boat access.
It was beautiful, cooler than home by 10 degree...no humidity to speak of for August
Scenic and lovely environment. A wonderful place to spend time with friends and family!
Beautiful area, but be prepared for curvy roads and lower speeds.
Spent a week with family at a private compound in Cowan, WV and dead in the heart of the forest and it truly was the most amazing experience ever! Flowing rivers and tons of hiking trails surrounded by mountains, peace & quiet...
Beautiful always a pleasure to visit
Beautiful country side. Wish there were more marked areas for fishing
Beautiful place. Great way to disconnect for a weekend. So much to see!
Great hiking, excellent views, and just the right place to get away from it all.
Love the forest. As any natural area some people like to cause trouble with littering, excessive noise and etc. Honestly I'm never ready to leave when I go.
Great experience every time. Cabins have wifi. Campgrounds are clean. Privitive sites available if you look. Endless adventures for children and adults who enjoy the outdoors.
great camp spots beautiful forrest and drive.
Nice smooth roads. A couple of beautiful overlooks.
Breath taking views, very clean walking paths and areas, the one time the facilities were not as clean as I had seen them (restrooms), but...the observation tower is extremely stable and good for even ones that may have a height issue.
Love it just don't get lost there
Tempted to give this wilderness gem a single star to keep people away (after all, there is no Starbucks). Bring a tent and appropriate hiking gear and you will love it! Remember to Leave No Trace!
Lots of stuff to do around here. Beautiful!
Awesome place lots of game and trout. Check out End of Trails Campground great place right by Anthony Creek
Beautiful! No other place in the world like it!

Just a beautiful place.
One of the most beautiful places I have ever had the chance to explore!
Dolly Sods. Amazing backpacking!
This place is beautiful if you get the chance stop and just go for a walk couple hours. For the short time we were there it took all the stress right out of me.
It's a cool place u can walk easy or work on it. Ride a bike, camp tent style have a shower 15 bucks.Restrooms, and wildlife.
The most spectacular hilly curvy Road running along gorgeous Rocky stream.
Great Drive beautiful place not enough time to see everything. I recommend downloading an offline map had no GPS for 2 days.

This is a huge area and is my favorite playground hunting fishing hiking they have it all. Cass scenic railroad Williams river trout fishing camping in Rock house. I love this place. You have to check it out. Green bank is also nearby for those interested in a radio.observatory
Hiked 12 miles in 2 days. Walking the crest, listening to nature. Also saw dogs with their hiker humans, ATV's, and plenty of mountain bikes. Oh, and the most gorgeous campsite along the trail on the crest. Can't wait to return!
This is a beautiful place to do pretty much anything. Depending on which part you are in, you can bike ride, hike, picnic, fish or any number of things.
Gorgeous valley views, the tower was a little disappointing as now the trees have overgrown the tower and you cant really see over. There is not flushing toilets, its one enclosed outhouse. One meaning ladies....use your very best hover skills if you absolutely have to go.
I love the beautiful scenery down here!! Especially Dolly Sods, Spruce Knob, and Seneca rocks
Great for a weekend or a month long outing into the wilderness.
Sometimes it is nice to get way out in nature that there is nothing to disturb you. Go where few have ever been.
Beautiful place to go to or drive through. There are lots of really nice trails. I would recommend to bring a map since in some areas there is no phone service.
Lovely place. Remote and not s lot of people. Just the way a forest should be. Plenty of hiking trails that offer spectacular views.
Beautiful place to visit, live or whatever ..
By far one of my favorite national forrests. Absolutely gorgeous!
Beautiful scenery and lots great hiking in Dolly Sods Wilderness. The hiking is more challenging than the elevation change would suggest due to lots of mud and uneven footing.
Spectacular views, nice, although sometimes quite muddy, trails, and opportunities to see rare plant life and enjoy wildlife for the whole family.
Beautiful area for enjoying the outdoors
So many places and trails to see. Offices and staff very friendly
This park is vast, so I can't speak for all of it. But on the short trail I hiked I saw nothing but beautiful forest and bushes and bushes of rhododendron. It was amazing. I live far away but I can't wait to come back.
Beautiful, scenic!!! Make sure to stop and take lots of pictures!!! Enjoy the views!!! Cery peaceful and relaxing.

Dolly Sods has excellent hiking trails. If you are not backpacking/camping in the backcountry, stay at Smokehole. Don't miss these trails!
Beautiful views in every direction. Awesome hiking trails as well!
Outdoor adventures abound in nearly 1,000,000 acres.
Well preserved woodlands with superb views.
I love the peace and quiet of these woods.
Smoke Hole Canyon is another great place to climb. Meet some friendly folks too!
It is absolutely beautiful out here. My wife and I did a trip last weekend to Seneca Rocks, WV and it was a blast. Saw Seneca Rocks, stayed in a cabin at Yokums Vacationland and walked through Seneca Caverns. No phone service, no worry, it was nice not being distracted by phones for a change.
The most awesome bike ride.
Really enjoy going out here, so much to see and there are several places to pull over and look, or picnic. There are also a few places to stay besides camping if you like. Every time I go here I don't want to leave it!
A truly beautiful part of the continent. The mist in the valleys in the morning is lovely.
A beautiful place to go camping
Very beautiful place. Nice place to drive and catch your breath.
I had an amazing time here. The area is just what I Needed to relax and unwind.
One of the most beautiful parks in the area, and it’s mostly free!

Absolutely Gorgeous fall coverage
Such a beautiful place, with tons of phenomenal views and hiking trails
