The waters are great as well as the people
Springs are nice, cool, and free. Nice place to go to cool off. Pool is nice. $5 for adults 3$ for kids 4-11. They rent out life vests. And sell snacks.
Fabulous! Wonderful soak in the mineral bath and an incredible massage.
So peaceful! Can't wait for the fall leaves!
Pleasant oasis in a busy town
A peaceful & green place in the middle of town. Lots of interesting things to see and do including the Bath House and Museum of the Berkeley Springs. Smallest state park in West Virginia, but plenty of fun!
Great place to chill out!
Love taking my kids here.
Absolutely fabulous value and quality services.
Awesome to know George Washington used to come here to relax
Its was so awesome to see where our founding fathers took baths at..
Quaint park with a warm spring. Take an empty water bottle or jug and get some spring water from one of the pumps. The water is also collected to be bottled and sold. Saw a truck collecting for that purpose.
It is a nice park, but I haven't been there in quite a while.
The staff at Berkeley Springs State Park are tremendous, from Lexi and the front of house staff, to the bath attendants, to Robert and Kirk who provided our massages. We'll be back again!
History plus! Unique shops with interesting finds by local artists.
Pretty neat history. Kids played in the water which was neat. Wasn’t as “hot” as we were expecting for “hot springs”
it's a great place. a massage and a hot bath
This park always provides and enjoyable stop on our motorcycle trips in WV. {PS.: But don't forget to feed your parking meter... it's much cheaper than the parking ticket.)
The weather was nice and flowers and trees in bloom...beautiful.
Bring your suit. The water is great. Perfect place for the kids to play in the water
Beautiful place to call home
It was ok. Parking is horrible
My husband and I did the roman bath and had a couple's massage. It was such a neat experience. We're going to bring the kids next time. They'll love the bath!
Interesting history. Fun to visit
Always a lovely, peaceful park to visit.
I love coming here anytime of the year. great place for photos, families fun, and play Perfect Place to dip your toes.
Great place for a leisurely walk. Loved the dark tunnel, but the waterfall at the end was dried up, which was disappointing. Definitely worth the trip. Bring flashlights!
Lovely park and great stream you can get in.
Always beautiful. A nice little park that has a pool if you pay or you can play in the creek and catch minnows for free lol. This place is known for it's springs and for good reason! The water here is delicious
Loved driving out to Berkeley springs
Great place to visit. Beautiful.
Great warm springs to soak your feet and let the kids play in
Lovely state park.Just lovely.
Fun destination if you're in the area.
Small park but neat little town
It's interesting but museum was closed and we didn't check first.
Beautiful place!
Been wanting to visit every since my last visit in the seventies! Of course, its seems a bit more crowded than in was back then. But I enjoyed the time spent relaxing here. Very glad I decided to go!
Such a nice andwell maintained oasis to splash around. There are picnic tables to bring a lunch and then fill up your water bottle straight from the fountain with fresh springs water.
Love this place: the people, the atmosphere, kids (and adults) playing in the springs...amazing.
Nice area. Natural springs you can walk in.
Very historic and beautiful.
Historical place of fun
Relaxing and enjoyable day trip. We stayed much longer than expected. The museum and concert were both excellent, and the water is great. Make the short drive up Route 9 past the castle to the scenic overlook!
Nice little park to stop by at. Interesting history too.
Great historic place to visit!
Super historical place to take your family. If you do come here don't be afraid to adventure across the street and check out amazing local shops.
Always stop on our trips through area and fill-up my 5 gallon jugs. Water is free and easily accessible from main. Have to say this is some of the best tasting water I've ever had, very smooth. They also have a hot springs area with hot bath. Cool view of a Castle on the hill. Nice little park in front of spring too.
It is a quaint little town friendly people lots of antique malls to go through. It has cute little cafes. They even have Saturday night in the park entertainment.
Can't wait to go again. In the middle of winter the hot springs outside were warm to the touch. The bath house was unique but we loved the warm magic water. The town could use some modern updates. Farmers market was alright. Not vegetarian or vegan friendly restaurants. The cat Cafe is to die for! :) Local brewery had amazing hummus! We drive past the castle at night! It was all lit up. The brewery up the hill past the castle was amazing! Take a right on a gravel road and go left <-BEER. They have great beer and amazing hummus
Nice place.. Great pure mountain water
Water was warm, spring houses were closed
A nice getaway not too far from Winchester VA.
Nice park, I love that they've converted a natural resource into a money making venture.
Nice settings and love living here less illegal immigrants
To celebrate a birthday 5 friends and family went to the State Park for massages. It was actually my mom's first one. We all agree the experience was excellent. The staff was very nice and helpful. The reception area was a little small at one point we had 10 people in area and we were all in each other's space. The massage started with a 15 minute Roman bath the water temperature was excellent although when I made the reservation I was told we would be using two baths they only gave us one. It would have been way to tight but one person really didn't want to get in water. We enjoyed the time so I'm not lowering rating for that. We all really enjoyed our massages. Most were pleasantly surprised that they got more of a deap tissue vs swedish. Would come back and recommend to others.
Was clean and they where doing construction but still made everything easily accessible
Love this place, so peaceful. Can understand why Washington came here
My husband and I had such a wonderful time in Berkeley Springs West Virginia @ the Apple Butter Festival! My dad was born and raised there many year's ago. It is a quaint little town and full of energy! Their Apple Butter is the best!! We love going there and spending the day! We met great people! We're going to try to go next year as well. Thanks again Berkeley Springs Apple Butter Festival, your truly "Wild and Wonderful!! You did a great job once again!! Melissa and Dave T
Love this place!!! Friendly relaxing atmosphere.
This is a great place to come and relax. America's first spa was here and you can still experience a soak in the invigorating natural mineral water. In warm weather you can soak in the spring outside which is a constant 74° or for a nominal fee you can try out a Roman bath in the bathhouse where they heat the water so that it's more like a hot tub. We opted for the Roman bath and it was extremely relaxing. We'll be back for sure!
Went to the Springs soaked my feet in the springs. Very nice. The spring waters stay 74 degrees all year long .
This park offers very affordable spa experiences including massage and Roman baths. One can wade in the springs and fill their own jugs with free spring water. There are picnic tables, a spring water-filled pool with lifeguards, a gazebo, and frequent concerts and art shows. Nearby cafes are great for lunch or dinner and there are antiques and gift shops nearby also. The location of the park is peaceful most of the time with occasional noise from older kids. There are bathrooms that are very clean and seem to be open whenever the park is open. Prices are not available on the park's website but a 30 minute session in a mineral bath was $27 for an adult, $24 for a senior adult and $3-$11 for children. Massages range from $50-$100 depending on services and length of time. All in all a nice, relaxing place to spend a weekend in a nearby motel. A pricier but luxurious hotel would be Berkeley Springs Country Inn; less expensive but very nice is the Best Western. There are other places like cottages, cabins, and B&Bs nearby. The Berkeley Springs Castle is no longer open to visitors but it can be seen from the road above the park and it's worth a look even from a distance.
Had a great visit...very relaxing.
Had an amazing time today!
A romantic weekend getaway! Small town, but historic and plenty to see, do, shop, eat. No nightlife here, (except one or two bars) but a good "outdoor" weekend getaway in the fall.
Love this park! Great to take a picnic and sit in the shade, sit with your feet in the water. Plenty of places for kids to run and play in the water which is really only a 1ft deep. Nice and cool and relaxing. There is also a pool on site if you want to pay to use. There is a water fountain where you can fill up water bottles with natural spring water. There is also a wonderful spa on the grounds if you need to get away for a little bit. I suggest the roman bath, super relaxing. Went for a bachelorette party weekend and did the bath and massages and it was perfect.
I LOVE BERKELEY SPRINGS!
Go..you'll understand why I love it...INSTANTLY.
Good place for children to play in the water
Had a nice day. Some good food. Nice people. We'll do it again.
It has unique shops, restaurants, and beautiful scenery!
Nice place, it's great playing in the springs or filling up jugs of spring water. Kids have such a blast. I do wish that they didn't promptly lock all the bathrooms at 5 though. Lack of access to facilities makes for some serious dilemmas for swimmers who overstay, especially those with children
Nice little park with history.
Small, but nice. Spring water available. Annual Appke Butter Festival in State Park, in Oct...always fun.
Best spring water. Bring your jugs and get it free. Walk in the water year round it is 73 degrees.
Great place to relax
The natural spring is nice for kids to splash around in.
Absolutely love it! Great place to swim, clean beach, great food stand with fair prices. Pretty waterfall, great playground. Love taking our daughter whos 1 & a half. Also great for family reunions, babyshowers, birthday parties, etc.
Beautiful and safe feeling place to walk around
It's nice. Nothing is really open to see unless you want to enjoy the spa. Historic area. A few nice shops.
Beautiful space, historic with crawfish and water springs perfect on a hot day. Public restrooms. And a pool. A museum, stores, shops, and restaurants. Roman bath and a spa. All walking distance for each other no much time need to everything. The coffee shop across the street provides an amazing beverages and food. The restaurant around the corner is a bar restaurant and inn. If you enjoy a beer I recommend Berkeley Springs brewery. The water fountains provide refreshing and natural filter water. Bring your coins for parking. Enjoy
I take kids play in spring waterr, there a pool at swim and nice place walk around
Tom and I said I do 7 years ago on the 25th
Spent the day here and loved it
Car show and Farmers Market. Had fun looking at the cars then buying some fresh fruit and veggies for a cook out on Fathers Day.
Good food at the restaurant. The kids had so much fun at the springs and spa.
Thank you for the personalized care. Had a great time.
A little touch of History to have your nice cooling stop for lunch
Museum not open.Great massage and hot tubs.
Nice place to walk around. Take dip in water, or take a paid bath or see the museum
I would highly recommend visiting here. It’s an absolutely beautiful state park for such a small town. I have seen so much wildlife here during my stay. I would highly recommend visiting George Washington’s bathtub. It’s exciting if you have looked up the history and are into that sort of thing.
GREAT ATTRACTION!!!! CUTE SMALL TOWN WITH LOTS TO SEE, EAT and DO.
Beautiful and wonderful time in the springs.
Small comfortable space to stop and rest. Bathroom needs some work (urinal continually runs -- could not flush toilet).
Mother-in-law decided to take me and my daughters here for a picnic the day before my big surgery. I've always like cacapon state park. It's beautiful all around. I've been to bigger and grander parks then this but cacapon state park always has a place in my heart.
A very nice place to take the family or a date.
Good restaurants, ecletic shops, an organic market and fresh spring water.
Construction is at a snails pace at best. Water is absolutely wonderful to drink and swim in at the big pool
Husband, you must love him. You could have said that two decades ago you preferred men. I wasted alot of time on you.
Very beautiful state park.
So worth the visit. Must try the hot baths. So rejuvenating.
Nicely maintained. clean well marked hiking trails.
Beautiful, fresh cold spring water, bring your jugs!! Swimming available or lounge in the spring waters . Visit George Washingtons bath tub. Down the road fantastic food at Tony's Butcher Shop.
Beautiful, awe-inspiring, peaceful, what else can I say?
A lot of construction...I'm sure it will be great once the orange constion fences come down
Beautiful town with amazing history! Great family trip or just for two!
Gorgeous place- need to make it a little more tourist friendly.
always a nice relaxing place to visit
Great place! You can even take some free water home with you. You can make a purchase (donation of 1 dollar) of an empty gallon and fill it up yourself or you can bring your own empty bottles. My group did the Roman baths for a half hour and left satisfied. Overall a great experience.
The museum was under renovation. The remaining grounds need renovation. Parking can be a problem. Bring plenty quarters. All spaces are metered or customer only. There are a few shops. We planned to have lunch and ended eating in Hagerstown on the way home. Town is a bit run down. Everything needs a face lift.
The water is excellent!
Amazing small town, so nice and friendly. The history of berkeley springs is amazing. So welcoming and friendly.
dont waste your time
Water. Nice place to get delicious fresh spring water. Free!!!!
Very centrally located and with amazing workers.
Being remodeled parking may be limited give them time it will be beautiful. Love this quiet park, many activities, friendly service and welcoming atmosphere.
The park is small, but nice. You can see crayfish and minnows in the spring, and bubbles of gases percolating up through the water. The only distraction is the highway 522 noise. You can't do anything about that. My wife and I had 2 spa days. I rather liked the masseuse I had on day 2. He found knots in my back and worked them out. First time that's happened! They don't talk about tipping, but you can.
A beautiful park with a lot of great resources for learning about nature and conservation.
Nice park and great tasting water bring your gallon jugs with you to fill up
Berkeley Springs Park is a beautiful park there's a pool in the park and it only cost $5.00 to get in depends on how old you are if you are 13 years and younger it only cost $5.00 if you are 14 years an older only cost' $10.00 to get in if you have a child that is at least 2-3 years old they get to get in for free but if either you or your son or anyone that is your son, daughter, grandson, and granddaughter is a lifeguard there you and all of your family get to get in for free without even having to pay at the pool
So peaceful water is amazing but freezing cold. Kids love it. Usually music is being played by some band around 5 or 6p. Bring jugs and get fresh spring water to take home
Great community event going on.
Home away from home for us! The Sunday farmers market is a must, and right across the street is the perfect swimming hole for the fam!
Nice small state park with a city park vibe. Wade in the natural springs. There's even a fountain to collect the spring water to take home. They sell 1 gallon jugs for a $1 donation at the main office. There are lots of children in the area splashing and running around, so it's not easy to find a quiet place to sit and relax, but it's a free park and free for everyone to use. Go when school is in session is my advice. Also, bring your large containers for water, but also make a few dollar donation at the main office. It helps keep the park looking nice.
On Sunday we went to locate the springs and ended up going through the antique mall. Lots of knick knacks to look at. Clean bathroom. Then went to the other stores on the strip. Lots of crafty and gift items. The Farmers market was going on so we went through and looked at fruit and veggie stands. I bought some herb plants. Very reasonable. Then we went to the springs and filled the water bottles. Needed more time to see everything. Next time!
Great little town, we stopped to walk around the vendors booths during the Apple Butter Festival as we drove thru on our way to Florida. Enjoyable stop to stretch our legs.
Lots of fun in the springs
Nice Friday nite music
Beautiful park, lots of shops and things to see and do. Loved the hot springs and Roman tubs.
I have been going to Berkeley Springs since I was six years old and I believe the water to be healing and it is still free! It has become an oasis for the arts and nature enthusiasts
Hidden castles in New York. So am azing but that's not the best part. The best part is it was built for love. He asked for her hand in marriage she refused. So he promised to build her a castle for her hand in marriage.
This facility is currently being refurbished. The Roman Bath Tubs have been rebuilt and will be receiving a new tiled finish soon. Would like to visit when it reopens. There is a small museum and several outdoor natural spring areas as well.
Beautiful park. Water is amazing to feel. Really neat to see history and theirs no fees. Can't wait to go back.
Nice small town setting with alot of history and neat things to see.
My kids love this place
Not what I expected, when I heard "Warm Springs", (they were quite cold), but had a nice crawfish one with sand and such, for the children to play in. There's also a pool right in front of the springs, if you want to pay to swim there. The springs are free.
Quaint stores and good places to eat. Historic springs.
Put this on your list of places to visit. Kids play in the springs while I sit and dangle my feet. The rocks are slippery, but kids adapt pretty well. My little ones always have fun here.
Nice little town, a rest stop on our way, nice little cafes and shops, and a good park for stretching. Also fresh spring water right outta the mountain.
Been coming here for 12 years and fell in love from the first visit. Now that I'm at an age where I have 3 kids I have taken them here several times and they always love it as well. I'll never not come here forever.
love the quaintness of the park and being able to purchase a gallon container to take home the spring water. always enjoy a soak and a massage at the bath house.
Very beautiful view of west Virginia's historic location
I wouldn't expect to see much. The baths/springs are neat. Pretty much like unique terrariums or aqua scapes.
Great place to visit in a nice small town
Always a pleasure to drop by! One of the springs and bath house is being remodeled. Can't wait to experience the upgrades!!
Great place we get water there all the time. Great during the summer
Not very big, however the water is calming and the park is beautiful.
Beautiful park, lots to do for families.
This is really a neighborhood park that is run by the state. It is quite small. It has a couple of benches and a facilities building with bathrooms. The big claim to fame is that you can see the 'springs' which give the area it's nickname. You can also see what is supposedly George Washington's tub, which is essentially a rock-lined depression in the ground (bare in mind that back then, a tub was anything with water in it, so don't expect a grand marble structure.) They also have 'baths' which are basically just heated tubs filled with spring water that you can rent. Not really the spa experience that some may be hoping for. There is a museum which is not too bad as local museums go but it is not entirely clear whether it is actually part of the park. But because it is there and because there is not much to do nearby, I bumped it up to 3 stars.
Step back in time. My home away from home. My brother and i were raised in the springs. My mom is a Seneca indian from this town. When im here floating in the pool look up and see the beautiful trees and Castel. The minerals of the springs are so healing. Great food in town and im born on Apple Butter. The Commissioner Stacy Dugan did great things for this town. Love it here.
Food fantastic, live Bluegrass terrific.looked for a good restaurant while in Berkeley Springs. This did not even show up. The Country Inn was well worth the find. Service, Food and Live music we're all wonderful.
Great time, will be back! :)
Great place to relax and listen to free musical performances
I love the state park. There's always something to do.
Love it,nice little town an very friendly people, will go back again for Apple Butter Feastible
Love it. Relaxing and beautiful. Construction going on right now though
Very nostalgic shopping and the park setting and Springs are amazing! Get a massage or bathe in the Springs.
